Abstract

As a generation that lives in the era of technological development, Generation Z sees smartphones no longer as devices but more as a lifestyle. The rapid growth of technology makes the smartphones that they hold offer many innovations that can facilitate all aspects of their lives, including worship by reading the Al-Qur'an through Islamic applications. It is believed that an Islamic application with various features and flexibility can improve the user's Al-Qur'an reading ability, especially the technology-savvy Generation Z. By involving 85 Muslim respondents of generation Z through an online survey, this study seeks to find out how practical Islamic applications are to increase the skills of reading the Al-Qur'an for generation Z Muslims. Various opinions of respondents are presented and then categorized so that these opinions result from a percentage stating that Islamic applications are declared quite effective to improve Gen Z's skills in reading the Al-Qur'an.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengelaborasi pemikiran Muhammad Sa’īd Ramadhān al-Būthī terkait perempuan dan ajaran Islam yang dianggap diskriminatif terhadap perempuan. Adapun sejumlah ajaran Islam yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah hijab, kepemimpinan perempuan, hak waris, dan poligami. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilandasi teori hermeneutika efektual dari Hans George Gadamer. Penelitian ini berkesimpulan bahwa: 1) Hijab tidak mengisolasi perempuan dari segala aktivitas kehidupannya. Namun pemahaman yang ekstrem terhadap QS. an-Nur: 31 lah yang menimbulkan gangguan pada perempuan yang berujung pada kemunduran Islam; 2) Kepemimpinan perempuan dibenarkan selama tidak sebagai kepala negara dengan syarat-syarat tertentu; 3) QS. an-Nisa: 11 (li adz-dzakar mitsl haẓẓi al-untsayayn) bukanlah kaidah umum dalam pembagian harta warisan. Kaidah tersebut hanya berlaku pada kondisi tertentu saja; 4) Poligami dipermasalahkan oleh aktivis feminisme Barat dikarenakan adanya perbedaan persepsi yang mendasar antara Islam dan Barat dalam memandang esensi dan konsep pernikahan dan zina; 5) Kesetaraan yang benar adalah kesetaraan yang tidak menyelisihi kodrat yang diberikan Tuhan pada manusia.

Abstract

Aksi Radikalisme dan Terorisme yang mengatasanamakan Islam telah memberikan dampak negatif bagi Umat Islam dan dan menempatkannya sebagai pihak yang dipersalahkan. Ajaran jihad dalam islam, kerapkali dijadikan sasaran tuduhan sebagai penyebab utama terjadinya kekerasan yang mengatasnamakan agama. Kenyataannya, ajaran Islam banyak mengarahkan seorang muslim untuk menjadi seseorang yang moderat. Artikel ini bertujuan memaparkan tentang ayat dan hadis terkait dengan karakter Islam Moderat; juga menggambarkan proses Implementasinya pada Pembelajaran PAI di Perguruan Tinggi Umum. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan mengulas ayat Quran dan hadis; serta observasi atas proses implementasinya melalui Pembelajaran Islam di beberapa Perguruan Tinggi di Pulau Jawa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik Muslim moderat dalam Quran hadis mengarah pada muslim yang mampu menyeimbangkan sikap dan pandangannya; sedang proses implementasinya diwujudkan melalui kurikulum PAI yang memiliki muatan nilai-nilai moderasi Islam, yang ditunjang oleh dosen yang moderat, yang mengarahkan mahasiswa untuk mampu memahami ajaran Islam secara tekstual dan juga kontekstual.

Abstract

This paper explores women's genitalia as far as QS sees it. al-Ahzab [33] verse 59. The specific explanation is related to the use of the veil, which is widespread in the Indonesian context. This study uses a thematic analysis method of the verses of the Qur'an, and it is concluded that there are differences of opinion regarding women's genitalia, especially regarding the face and palms, whether they are classified as aurat or not. This difference then developed in the legal issue of wearing the veil for women. Regarding the use of the veil, scholars consider social conditions so that there are scholars who require women to wear the veil since there has been a lot of slander spread in the community. Some scholars do not require women to wear the veil because the veil is considered a culture that grows from the local culture. However, wearing the veil for women remains relevant in Indonesia because, in addition to the veil protecting women from naughty views of the opposite sex, it will also affect their subconscious to improve religious practices in their lives.

Abstract

Tik Tok is a new platform that young people love, and kids are no exception. This platform encompasses all levels of society, including adults and even the elderly. TikTok has both positive and negative sides like any other medium. Therefore, this study aims to determine the understanding of the community, especially the people of Palopo, about the benefits of Tik Tok and how to use it. This research is a field study with the people of Palopo city as informants for interviews and documentation. As a result, Tik Tok is used more than a means of entertainment, which sometimes leads to verbal and physical disrespectful behaviour. Some opinions say that Tik Tok is an online media short video that shows recordings of dancing and showing TikTok-er's genitals. The people of Palopo city consider TikTokers more for entertainment filled with dancing. Therefore, it is necessary to limit access to various media, including TikTok, so as not to be carried away by immoral behaviour. Thus, the Qur'an is the key and a solution to protect yourself by not showing your aurat. It means that Tik Tok may dive without showing aurat and indulgence in lust. For further researchers, it is necessary to research the effects caused by the application and the solution before and after being exposed to the syndrome.

Abstract

Repetition in the Holy Qur’an is one of the topics that concern some orientalists, as they claim that the Holy Qur’an is a book that raises doubts that it is from God Almighty because of the many repetitions in it as if God Almighty has no other expressions to highlight His purposes and is forced to repeat some verses. According to Saeed Nursi, the research aims to reveal the rule of repetition in the Holy Qur’an because of his unique insight into the phenomenon of Qur’anic repetition. In this research, the inductive analytical method is used, where the views of Said Nursi about repetition in the Holy Qur’an and the wisdom behind it were extrapolated and analyzed through his writings in the Rasa’il al-Nur. Among the results of this research is that Saeed Nursi provided a full explanation of the ruling on repetition of the Qur’anic verses, in the luminous miraculousness in the repetitions of the Qur’an, in six main points, namely: that repetition in the Holy Qur’an is better and more eloquent and even more necessary than others; Behind this repetition are Qur’anic purposes; It is considered one of the human moral needs. It is for confirmation, determination, and endorsement; It is a repetition in different forms; It is done in various ways. Nursi also showed that repetition in the Holy Qur’an is for the sake of not being bored and bored, as it came to establish, and that it sends psychological and aesthetic pleasure in the hearts of readers and listeners. Thus, Saeed Nursi came up with something new that no other scholars had preceded in their statement of the ruling on repetition in the Holy Qur’an.

Abstract

The complexity of the concept waḥdah al-wujūd in Ibn ‘Arabī understanding used in interpretation impacts the ignoring of his interpretation results leading to the essence of servitude and purification of God. The purpose of this study is the form of understanding that accentuates the meaning of the symbols depicted in verse. Tracing of Sufistic narratives in interpreting Ibn ‘Arabi was carried out in this study using qualitative methods with content analysis as a data analysis technique. The content analysis model analyzes the data by looking for conceptual relations in al-Futuḥāt al-Makkiyah by Ibn ‘Arabi about the Sufistic model of understanding. The semiotic theory of sacred texts aids this analysis process to see language phenomena in the scriptures presented through special symbols. This study found that the Sufistic interpretation of Ibn ‘Arabi is wrapped in symbolic form. The dressing of symbols in the process of understanding emphasizes the identification of Sufistic models with the diversion of meanings. This identity obscures Ibn ‘Arabī’s method of interpretation. The symbolic form is explained by analysis of the constitutional significance of the word writing and the function of his syntagmatic. The implications of this concept emphasize the relationship between God and servant (‘abd) implicit in each verse of the Qur’an. The result of the manifested interpretation underlines the totality of servitude and divinity, culminating in the level of the union of existence to God (waḥdah al-wujūd). Ibn ‘Arabī embodies the symbolic aspect represented in the Qur’an as a result of the decline of the language of God into the language of man.

Abstract

This paper is concerned with examining Imam Al-Tirmidhi’s action in accepting and refuting the narrations, in addition to weighting the differences by relying on the strengthening evidence of one aspect over the other; and other things that we mentioned in the research through selected examples from The Book of Purification “Ettahara”. What prompted us to write on this subject was what was rumoured about Imam al-Tirmidhi that he was lenient regarding discrediting and endorsement and correcting and weakening. And then the need for specialists to clarify this issue. This research used the critical analytical approach, through which we reached some results, the most important of which are: that Imam Al-Tirmidhi relied on various evidence in weighing the differences and in accepting and rejecting. As for the issue of leniency with which al-Tirmidhi was accused, we did not find any mention of it among the imams who preceded him.
