Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui untuk memahami bagaimana pengungkapan diri yang dilakukan oleh pengguna Twitter yang mengungkapkan tentang selfharm dan kesehatan mental pada pengguna media sosial twitter. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan kualitatif dilakukan melalui media sosial twitter dengan observasi tweet berunsur selfharm, depresi dan penyakit mental, dan wawancara pelaku selfharm dan penyakit mental di media sosial twitter. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengguna aktif media sosial twitter yang pernah mengunggah aktivitas selfharm dan bercerita tentang kesehatan mental di twitter sebanyak 10 orang. Pemilihan informan-informan pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan realitas pada media sosial twitter yaitu memiliki tiga jenis identitas virtual. Self disclosure pada twitter dilakukan dengan menggunakan teks dan gambar yang berkaitan dengan informasi mengenai selfharm dan penyakit mental. Budaya dan kebiasaan pengguna twitter mengenai selfharm dan penyakit mental berbeda dengan media sosial lainnya yaitu lebih banyak memberikan respon positif dengan teks, gambar dan simbol hati. Serta simbol yang biasa digunakan yaitu foto selfharm, semicolon, butterfly project dan gambar anjing hitam.Kata kunci: Pengungkapan diri, Etnografi Virtual, Media Sosial Twitter

Abstract

Peran komunikasi terapeutik sangat penting sebagai salah satu bentuk pelayanan kesehatan sehingga terwujudnya komunikasi terapeutik yang baik pada setiap fase atau tahapan yang akan menghasilkan hubungan baik juga menumbuhkan trust   atau rasa percaya dan kepuasan terhadap pasien bahwa dirinya akan dirawat sebaik-baiknya serta mendapat kesembuhan. Maka penulis tertarik untuk meneliti dan menganalisis mengenai pentingnya komunikasi terapeutik dokter dan paramedis dalam pelayanan kesehatan di Rumah Sakit Umum Pusat Haji Adam Malik Medan.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis komunikasi terapeutik yang dilakukan dokter dan paramedis atau perawat dalam pelayanan kesehatan di RSUP H Adam Malik Medan. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah teori komunikasi terapeutik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dengan pendekatan kualitatif, yang menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah dua dokter spesialis, dua perawat, dan dua pasien. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa pemahaman prinsip-prinsip komunikasi terapeutik yang dilakukan dokter dan paramedis atau perawat yang meliputi; sikap terbuka, saling percaya, dukungan penuh empati, dan ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana dalam pelayanan kesehatan di ruang rawat inap terpadu RSUP H Adam Malik Medan secara konseptual telah dipahami oleh dokter, perawat dan pasien, namun secara faktual lingkup pelaksanannya belum optimal dan merata diterapkan. Dari hasil wawancara dan observasi proses 4 fase komunikasi terapeutik; fase praintaeraksi, fase orientasi, fase kerja, fase terminasi belum optimal dan belum merata dimiliki setiap dokter maupun perawat terhadap pasien dalam pelayanan kesehatan di RSUP H Adam Malik Medan.

Abstract

Media digital khususnya smartphone begitu massif melanda masyarakat, termasuk di kalangan orang tua murid di TK RA Nurul Huda. Pola penggunaan yang belum bijaksana dan banyaknya muatan tidak mendidik  membuat setiap orang  perlu membekali diri dengan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan dalam memanfaatkan media digital. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan agar orang tua murid TK Nurul Huda mempunyai pengetahuan yang baik tentang media digital khususnya smartphone, seperti:  muatan apa saja yang ada di dalam smartphone dan  pengaruh smartphone  kepada khalayak khususnya kepada anak-anak, ketrampilan berkaitan dengan kemampuan dalam mengemas pesan dalam media smartphone, Kegiatan pengabdian berlangsung selama dua hari, dalam setiap harinya dihadiri oleh 20 orang peserta,  jumlah peserta seluruhnya adalah  40 orang. Pelatihan ini dilakukan di masa pandemi COVID 19, mematuhi aturan yang telah ditetapkan dimana  peserta menggunakan masker, mencuci tangan dengan sabun. Materi pelatihan  disampaikan pleh tiga orang narasumber. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa orang tua murid TK Nurul Huda Desa  Sukaluwe  bertambah pengetahuan bahwa smartphone memberi pengaruh positif dan negatif kepada anak,  mengetahui muatan smartphone khususnya tentang video game , dan mengetahui  cara mengemas pesan yang baik  di media sosial.

Abstract

Saat ini online review menjadi hal yang penting bagi konsumen maupun produsen. Bagi produsen online review membantu untuk mempelajari dan mengevaluasi customer. Sementara bagi customer, online review dapat membantu untuk menentukan produk mana yang sesuai dan cocok untuk dirinya. Kini, online review juga lebih dipercayai oleh para konsumen dibandingkan informasi yang diberikan oleh produk itu sendiri. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pola perilaku dan cara penyampaian konsumen sehingga dapat membantu konsumen lain dalam mencari sebuah produk. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis isi kualitatif dimana sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah artikel-artikel serta penelitian terlebih yang dikaji lebih dalam untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian. Peneliti menggunakan teori Online Review dan teori Planned Behavior. Temuan penelitian menyatakan bahwa Online Review dapat menjadi sumber informasi sebagai acuan keputusan pembelian bagi konsumen lain yang ditelaah melalui tiga karakteristik. selain itu juga terdapat kesinambungan dengan teori Planned Behavior yang dapat mengidentifikasi review secara spesifik sehingga dapat mendapat kesimpulan apakah review tersebut positif atau negatif.Kata Kunci: Online Review, Perilaku Konsumen, Planned Behavior

Abstract

AbstractThis paper is part of a study on convergence. Convergence is an online media effort to get a bigger readership, exist and struggle to improve services. This step is a strategy to face digital industry competition, especially in Batam City. Media Batamtoday.com and batamnews.co.id also carry out various convergence methods, such as the convergence of ownership, tactics, structure, coverage to presentation and journalistic convergence, newsgathering and content convergence which is one of the cores of this discussion. However, these two media converged according to the ability to invest, the need so as not to be trapped in mere technical problems. That is, the convergence carried out by the two media remains in the context of needs by looking at the existing competition patterns and opportunities. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The purpose of this research is to find out how the media convergence. The results of this study are expected to be useful for knowledge for the community as well as for readers in general. In addition, as a first step for researchers to develop the knowledge and theory gained so far and is expected to increase interest in knowledge in the discipline of communication science. Abstract

AbstractThe trending topic of sexuality on Twitter which often rises to become the number one search is sometimes invites some teenagers to look out of curiosity. This study aims to determine the perceptions of students, especially UNJ communication science students, on the phenomenon of trending topics of sexuality and their impact on social media Twitter. In this study, the researcher uses a qualitative approach, in order to examine social settings from an insider's perspective and produce a description and analysis of the context. The researcher also uses hermeneutic phenomenology which explains that this research is oriented to life experience and tries to interpret its meaning. The results of this study are that some students feel uncomfortable with the emergence of trending topics that lead to sexual matters. Sexual contents is not a good thing to be consumed even to be spread in public spaces. Content like this sometimes makes them nervous because the impact of this trending topic can make other people feel curious to imitate and indicate free sex on teenagers.Keywords: new media, social media, sexual behavior

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the effect of position in the household on communication patterns based on gender by male and female actors at Layangan Putus series. This research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach and using interactive analysis. Primary data is obtained from the dialogue of Layangan Putus episode 6A and 6B. The data collection technique is to listen and record the dialogue specifically on the communication provided by the male and female main character for further anaylisis. The reason of choosing this episode is due to the peak of the conflict that occurs in this series. The data was dissected using genderlect theory by Deborah Tannen. The result of the research conducted, it is evident that men are like role as problem solver, does not like to do follow up about other people problem but did not proof that men does not like when other people have similar experience with him. Meanwhile women are more likely need support or recognition, like when someone has same live experience as her and women like to do follow up regarding others people problem. AbstractAdvances in technology and information at this time bring changes from various aspects of people's lives. The emergence of social media as one of the evidences of technological advances makes people's behavior patterns change both from cultural aspects, ethics to norms. Ease of accessing social media is one of the causes The emergence of a hedonistic lifestyle in the millennial generation. For some people, lifestyle is important as a form of self-expression. Millennials who have a hedonistic lifestyle tend to comply with desires rather than needs. social media among millennials. By using a qualitative descriptive method, this research is expected to explain the hedonistic lifestyle that appears in the millennial generation and the importance of being wise in using social media. The data analysis technique in this study uses redux. i data, presentation of data and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the influence of social media Instagram on the hedonic lifestyle of the millennial generation is at a moderate level, which means that this generation is occasionally hedonistic when it is in a state of being able to both from environmental, family and cultural factors.Keywords: Social media, culture, hedonism, lifestyle

Abstract

AbstractTelevision stations compete in packaging an event through creativity in order to win the competition and attract the attention of the audience. In the implementation of broadcasting activities, a broadcasting institution requires expertise in the field of management, namely broadcasting management. Variety Show programs that air on television provide entertainment and are able to attract the hearts of viewers. Soap operas form an amalgamation and shortening of cinema and electronics. Television soap opera packages are one form of educating people to behave in harmony with the order of cultural norms and values. Automatically, the message content that is seen symbolically in the soap opera package is in the form of social criticism and social control about deviations that are currently in the community. The purpose of this study was to determine the production management process of variety shows and soap operas on television. This research uses media management theory. This research method is qualitative and this type of research is descriptive. Research data collection techniques using interview techniques. The result is that the two informants gave their opinions and assessments regarding the current variety shows and soap operas on television. They said that there were several variety shows and soap operas that did not actually fulfill the public's interest.Keywords: Media Management, Broadcast Media
