Abstract

This study aims to analyze the alignment between long-range planning and short-range planning in educational institutions. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method, this study examines various sources of literature related to long-term and short-term planning in educational institutions. Based on the results of this study, it shows that the importance of this alignment can be seen in several aspects, such as the efficiency of resource allocation, program continuity, and the ability to adapt to change. With a clear long-term plan, educational institutions can design a short-term plan that is more directed and measurable, so as to avoid overlap or waste in the implementation of activities. In addition, periodic evaluations of the achievement of the plan are also necessary to ensure that all activities remain relevant and in accordance with the strategic objectives that have been set.through collaboration between all stakeholders, including teachers, students, and parents, educational institutions can create a more responsive and innovative learning environment. This alignment not only improves the quality of education but also builds a strong foundation for the future development of the institution.

Abstract

The implementation of a merit system in Islamic educational institutions is a crucial strategy for improving human resource quality and institutional management. This study aims to analyze the concept of the merit system, the challenges faced, and the solutions for its implementation in Islamic educational institutions. Using a descriptive method with a qualitative approach based on literature review, this research explores the social and cultural phenomena influencing the success of the merit system. The findings reveal that the merit system offers various advantages, such as improved efficiency, productivity, and fairness in human resource management. However, its application in Islamic educational institutions faces challenges, including traditional work culture, internal resistance, lack of accountability, and limited resources. Proposed solutions include the socialization of the merit system, capacity building for educators, strengthening performance evaluation mechanisms, and ensuring transparency in decision-making. This study concludes that consistent implementation of the merit system can foster a professional work environment, support educational quality improvement, and reduce favoritism practices. Therefore, institutional commitment is essential to overcoming obstacles and integrating the merit system as part of Islamic educational management.

Abstract

One of the biggest challenges faced by students is the ability to understand the essence and purpose of the learning process, including in physics subjects. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between spiritual intelligence and physics learning outcomes. The research method is a causal-correlational quantitative method. The data collection technique uses a spiritual intelligence questionnaire (SISRI-24) and physics learning outcomes in the form of mid-semester exam results. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling, namely the entire 12th grade population which is used as a research sample of 140 people. The instrument validity test uses product moment correlation and instrument reliability uses Cronbach's alpha. Spearman test statistical data uses SPSS version 27. The research findings show a positive correlation between spiritual intelligence and physics learning outcomes (r = 0.359). Analysis of the four dimensions of spiritual intelligence reveals that spiritual awareness has the most significant contribution (r = 0.396), followed by Critical Existential Thinking (r = 0.366), discovery of personal meaning (r = 0.226), and the conscious development (r = 0.210).

Abstract

The purpose of education is the dominant aspect of education. Therefore, discussing Islamic Religious Education, both its meaning and objectives, must refer to the instilling of Islamic values (cultivating a sense of religion) and must not neglect social ethics or morality. Instilling these values also aims to foster success in life for students in this world, which will then be able to produce goodness in the afterlife. This research is field research, namely research conducted directly in the field or with respondents. The purpose of field research is to examine the issues raised in the research by conducting a review of the problem in real-life conditions. The results of the research conducted at SMP IT Hikmatul Ulum are that the instillation of Islamic character is instilled in the form of habits of praying at the beginning of prayer times, reading the Quran, memorizing short surahs, and saying greetings. Although in practice many students still have shortcomings in deepening these principles, educators strive to instill Islamic character in accordance with the guidance and guidelines of the implemented curriculum.

Abstract

Learning the book Al-Fiyah Ibn Malik in Islamic boarding schools is one of the important aspects of Islamic religious education in Indonesia. This book, written by Ibn Malik, contains the basic rules of Arabic, especially in the fields of nahwu (grammar) and sharf (the science of word changes). In the context of Islamic boarding school education, learning Al-Fiyah not only focuses on mastering Arabic theory, but also becomes a means to deepen religious texts in Arabic, such as the Qur'an and Hadith. Therefore, the implementation of learning al-Fiyah in Islamic boarding schools has a very strategic role in improving religious understanding and Arabic language skills of students. This research is a combination of library research and field research. Learning Al-Fiyah Ibn Malik at the Hikmatul Ulum AsySyari'Fuddin Islamic Boarding School in Tasikmalaya City uses two methods, namely sorogan and bandongan. The obstacles faced during the learning process are: 1) difficulty in memorizing verses of poetry; 2) Time constraints; 3) Differences in student ability levels. Some of these obstacles are overcome with an individual approach and gradual teaching.
