Abstract

THE DICHOTOMY OF EDUCATION IN ISLAMIC EDUCATION This paper tries to analyze the tendency of the dichotomy that occurs in Islamic scholarship, this dichotomy is reflected in the style of the dichotomy of education. The demarcating separation between Religious and Non-Religious Sciences or what is called the dichotomization of knowledge in the discourse of Islamic education has caused a lot of debate among Islamic education leaders. Some figures fully support the dichotomy system and some strongly reject the dichotomy. This paper aims to describe the historical roots of the dichotomization of Islamic education. These findings indicate that Islam strongly recommends scientific exploration by not separating and contrasting religious and non-religious sciences. In Islam there is no dichotomy of knowledge, only the clarification of knowledge, but in practice the classification of knowledge is misinterpreted by many Muslim communities themselves

Abstract

The Zoroastrian religion is known as Zoroastrianism. It is an ancient religion that appeared in Asia. It is the official religion of several ancient empires in Asia, the most important of which is Persia or the Sassanid state. Their number ranges between 145 thousand to 2.6 million people, and Zoroastrianism or Magus is one of the oldest religions in the world, as its emergence dates back to approximately 3,500 years. This religion is considered a religion that believes in Two gods' existence: the God of evil and good and light. The question is: Are the Magi from the People of the Book? By 632 AD Yazdegerd III came to power in Persia, but the Arab/Muslim army had already begun conquering Persia. The Muslims defeated them at Nahavand and killed Yazdegerd by a mill at Merv in 652, putting an end to the Sassanid dynasty and thus to the official history of Zoroastrian Iran. While they lost their religion and writing and some Sassanid historical literature, language and culture essentially survived. Political and social pressures led to Iranian Muslims over Zoroastrians between the seventh and thirteenth centuries. With the conquests, the Iranians gradually lost their dominant religion. Zoroastrians moved to India in successive migrations in the Islamic era. The initial migration that followed the conquest has been described as religious persecution through the conquest of Muslims, some persisted in the religion, and some fled Central Asia and India

Abstract

Marriage is a sacred bond between a man and a woman, when it is said Ijab Qabul means the marriage is valid and ready to enter a new level of life (household). One of the Javanese customs that is carried out before the wedding is to determine or look for the lucky day of Weton or Neptu for the bride and groom based on Javanese Primbon. The determination of the wedding day is based on the traditions found in the Nglebeng Village community. In this study, we will discuss how the process of determining the wedding day is carried out in Nglebeng Village using Weton calculations and using Javanese Sholichin tatal. Javanese Tatal is a formula to find out what day, wuku and month it is permissible and appropriate to carry out a wedding celebration. Researchers used qualitative research methods and case study approaches. This study uses Max Weber's theory, namely rational action which is included in the type of traditional action. The results of this study are that the tradition of determining the lucky day in marriage carried out by Nglebeng Village residents is a habit carried out by the local community before the marriage contract.

Abstract

Islamic law is an inseparable part of national law in Indonesia. Islamic law has a great opportunity to become national law. One form of Islamic law that has become national law is Islamic Law Compilation. This article examined the existence of Islamic Law Compilation and opportunities for its development, the material content and legal force. This research concluded that: first, although its legal force is still debated, in practice, the Islamic Law Compilation has been used as material law or reference by judges in Indonesian religious courts in deciding cases. Second, the material for Islamic Law Compilation can be deepened and expanded by using a strong ushul fiqh method and can refer to the jurisprudence of judges' decisions, contemporary fatwas from muftis or world religious institutions and scientific studies in the field of Islamic law. Third, to increase the power of law, the Islamic Law Compilation can be fought so that it can become a law.
