Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the integration of digital technology in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum and learning media, specifically in KMA No. 183 and 184 of 2019. The background of this research is based on the demands of digitalization in education, which require a balance between technology, pedagogy, and Islamic values. The method used was a qualitative approach with document analysis and observation of digital learning media such as LMS, e-modules, interactive videos, and podcasts. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model through the stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that digital technology integration has been normatively accommodated in the curriculum and is beginning to be implemented in learning practices through various interactive digital media. However, its implementation is not optimal due to its implicit nature in basic competencies, limited teacher digital literacy, and a lack of strengthening of students' digital ethics. Conclusion: The success of digital technology integration in PAI depends heavily on the balance between Islamic content, pedagogy, and technology (TPACK), as well as the strengthening of spiritual values and digital ethics in the learning process.

Abstract

Many children under the age of 18 who have been actively involved in economic activities, become child laborers with the most dominant reason being economic pressure experienced by their parents or other factors. This study aims to determine the driving and underlying factors of children working as breadwinners for families in Pasar Banggi Village. As well as a review of Islamic family law on children as breadwinners for families in Pasar Banggi Village. This researcher uses qualitative methods, the data in this study were obtained from primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the general description of working underage children due to the large number of them who work in Pasar Banggi Village as fishermen, farm laborers or other jobs is due to the most dominant economic factor, while other factors are environmental factors, parental factors, self-will factor, and habit factor. In terms of Islamic Family Law, the age limit for children to work is not directly explained in Article 98 of the Compilation of Islamic Law paragraph (1) the age limit for children who are able to stand alone or as adults is 21 years, as long as the child is not physically disabled. or mentally or have never been married. Child labor should be avoided considering the harm is greater than the benefit. In Surah Al-Baqarah verse 233 it is explained because providing a living is obligatory for parents.

Abstract

Problems in learning Aqidah Akhlak often arise due to the dominance of teacher-centered lecture methods, making students passive and less able to think critically or understand religious teachings rationally. This issue appears clearly in learning the material of faith in the Last Day, which generally emphasizes memorization without providing space for philosophical and rational reasoning. This study aims to apply the principles of Burhani epistemology in learning Aqidah Akhlak on the material of faith in the Last Day to improve students’ critical thinking and rational belief. This research employs a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design (Static Group Comparison Design), involving two groups: an experimental class using Burhani-based learning and a control class using conventional methods. Data were collected through critical thinking tests and rational belief questionnaires, then analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and t-tests. The results show that the data are normally distributed (Sig. > 0.05), not homogeneous (Sig. < 0.05), and that there is a significant difference between the two groups (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05). The average score of the experimental class increased to 89.47, while the control class increased to 56.00. Thus, the application of Burhani epistemology is proven effective in enhancing students’ critical thinking and rational belief, as well as integrating reason and revelation harmoniously. This approach is relevant for Aqidah Akhlak instruction to develop logical thinking, strong faith, and scientific morality in students.

Abstract

Contemporary Islamic education still faces an epistemological problem in the form of a dichotomy between religious and general knowledge, which has the effect of reducing the meaning of education. Religious knowledge is often understood in a normative-dogmatic manner, while general knowledge develops within a framework of instrumental rationality with minimal value orientation. This article aims to analyze and reconstruct the religio-rational concept in the educational thought of KH. A. Wahid Hasyim as an epistemological framework for Islamic education. This research uses library research with a conceptual-philosophical analysis approach to relevant works and literature. Data are analyzed using content analysis and conceptual synthesis techniques to uncover the relationship between revelation, reason, and moral values in education. The results of the study indicate that religio-rationalism positions revelation as a source of values and ethical orientation, while reason functions as a rational instrument in understanding reality and developing knowledge. This framework rejects the epistemological dichotomy and offers a validity of truth that is not only logical and empirical, but also oriented towards social welfare and moral formation. This article concludes that religio-rationalism is a relevant epistemological foundation for the renewal of integrative, humanistic, and contextual Islamic education in facing the challenges of modernity.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Mastery Learning strategy on student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in class XI-1 of SMA Negeri 1 Garut. The background of this study is based on the suboptimal student learning outcomes, which indicate that some students have not achieved the minimum mastery in PAI learning. This study involved 40 students using a stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. The test results showed that the Mastery Learning strategy in SMA Negeri 1 Garut was dominated by an average positive category with an average value of 62.33 and student learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 1 Garut are dominated by a positive average category with an average value of 41.80. The results of the regression test show that the Mastery Learning learning strategy has a significant effect on student learning outcomes with a significance value of 0.005 (p <0.05). Meanwhile, the R Square value of 0.188 indicates a contribution of only 18.8%. The results of the study indicate that the Mastery Learning strategy has a positive effect on improving student learning outcomes, indicated by an increase in student understanding, attitudes, and skills after the implementation of the strategy. Thus, the implementation of Mastery Learning can be an effective alternative in improving learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education subjects.

Abstract

Education plays a strategic role in shaping human beings and civilization. Ibn Khaldun, through his monumental work Al-Muqaddimah, offers an educational concept that is holistic, humanistic, and contextual. This article aims to examine Ibn Khaldun’s educational thought and analyze its implications for contemporary Islamic education. This study employs a qualitative approach using library research, involving the examination of primary and secondary sources relevant to Ibn Khaldun’s educational ideas. The findings indicate that, according to Ibn Khaldun, the purpose of education is not merely oriented toward the acquisition of knowledge, but also toward the formation of moral character, the development of intellectual potential, social preparedness, and the sustainability of civilization. Principles such as gradual learning, the rejection of violence in education, and the emphasis on dialogical relationships between teachers and learners constitute the core characteristics of his educational concept. The implications of Ibn Khaldun’s thought for contemporary Islamic education are reflected in the importance of developing learner-centered curricula, adopting humanistic pedagogical approaches, and strengthening the role of teachers as intellectual and moral guides. Therefore, Ibn Khaldun’s educational thought remains relevant as a conceptual foundation for the renewal and strengthening of Islamic education in the modern era.

Abstract

This research is based on the awareness of the importance of education during childhood because education during that period will determine the success of education in the future. Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah (MIM) Sumampir, Rembang, Purbalingga is one of the elementary educational institutions that has innovated in the curriculum by incorporating the Al-Qur'an memorization program into their educational curriculum. The success of MIM Sumampir in implementing this program is interesting to be studied further. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Al-Qur'an memorization policy at MIM Sumampir, Rembang, Purbalingga. The data analysis technique used in this study is the Miles and Huberman analysis model, including data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. Many previous studies have discussed the implementation of the tahfiz program in formal educational institutions. The novelty in this study lies in the research subjects due to differences in time and place and in the theory used for the analysis tool. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the tahfiz policy as a flagship program at MIM Sumampir has been running well when viewed using Edwards III's theory of the variables influencing the policy implementation process. The results indicate that MIM Sumampir has succeeded in directing each variable towards quality improvement, although several aspects still need to be evaluated.
