This study aims to determine the effect of the cognitive conflict approach to critical thinking skills and conceptual understanding in mechanical wave material. This type of research is a Pre-experimental research design with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The study population was all students of class XI MIA MAN 2 Mataram with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. The research sample was students in all three classes that were used as experimental classes which were given treatment in the form of learning using the cognitive conflict approach. An instrument for critical thinking skills using student worksheet and description test. While the data of conceptual understanding was obtained by a multiple-choice test. Hypothesis testing in this research is a paired t-test and MANOVA test. The results of the hypothesis test give the conclusion that there is an effect of the cognitive conflict approach to critical thinking skills and conceptual understanding in mechanical wave students in MAN 2 Mataram in the three experimental classes.

This study aim was to develop an EPUB3-based mathematics E-Module using a valid and effective SIGIL application for high school students in Medan, Sumatera Utara. This research is a research and development (R&D) study with the ASSURE model consisting of 6 stages, including analyzing learners-state objectives; select method; media and materials; utilize media and materials; require participant learner; evaluate and revise. The subjects of the study were XI grade senior high school students in Medan, Sumatera Utara, Indonesia. The results showed that the EPUB3-based mathematical E-module was valid and reliable for use in the learning process according to the results of expert validation, with an average value of 3.77 and included in good categories. Furthermore, EPUB3-based Mathematics E-Modules are used in the online learning process, especially in statistical material. Student respondent test results showed that 58% of students felt helped in understanding the material using the EPUB3-based Mathematics E-Modules during online learning. Students more easily learn the material anywhere and anytime and also can test the ability related to statistical material directly on the E-Module to get the final result whether it meets the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) or not. The EPUB3-based Math E-Modules using the SIGIL application is proven to be valid and effective in helping students and teachers carry out online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.

This study aims to analyze the learning process of introverted students on algebraic operating materials and determine the results of treatment with Problem Based Learning on students' mathematical reasoning abilities. This type of research is an experiment with a single subject or Single Subject Research. The design used is A-B. Data collection techniques through observation, tests, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses analysis in conditions and analysis between conditions. Based on the results of the study, the introverted student learning process on algebraic operating material is the subject preparing needs, making designs, identifying, finding and delivering solutions, and conducting evaluations. While the treatment results in the form of Problem Based Learning showed a significant increase, the mean level of test results increased from 48.75 to 92.75 and the percentage of overlap was 0. It was concluded that the use of PBL models had a positive influence on the mathematical reasoning ability of introverted students. It is hoped that the Problem Based Learning model can be used as an alternative learning model to improve the mathematical reasoning ability of introverted students and learning when at school.

Integration of technology in science instruction in special education context can be done within the technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge (TPACK) framework. Therefore, special education teachers are expected to have a good level of TPACK. This study aimed to explore the level of teachers TPACK in science instruction for students with special needs and to compare the TPACK level of teachers based on their gender. This research used a quantitative approach with survey method. The respondents of this study were special education teachers (N= 44). The data collection method was through a survey using the TPACK survey instrument. The validation result used the Pearson Correlation showed value per statement ranging from 0.504 - 0.904. Reliability showed in the Cronbach's coefficient Alpha for internal consistency value of 0.856 (high). The data analysis technique used was the descriptive statistical analysis technique and the independent sample t test. The results showed that the total average of all TPACK domain is concluded in good category with mean score 81.29. The t test calculation showed that the t value (0.123) is less than the critical t value in the t table (2.085). The p value obtained was 0.90, greater than 0.05. Therefore, Ho is accepted. The issue of gender equality that has begun to be implemented in Indonesia can be the reason for the loss of technological mastery differences. In conclusion, TPACK mastery of special education teachers in science instruction was not differentiated by teacher gender with p>0.05.

Teaching materials currently available are mostly centred on text-book and tasks. Moreover, it is rarely implanted with 21st century skills and character values so that students find it difficult when solving problems related to life. STEM-based teaching materials developed are presented with characteristics of fluid information which is complemented by discussions, practicum, and project activities related to STEM aspects and integrated with 21st century skills (4C) and character values so that students are encouraged to be more active in solving problems. This study aims to describe characteristics and identify feasibility, readability, student responses to STEM-based physics teaching materials, integrated 21st century skills (4C), and characters. The method used in this research was Research and Development (R&D) with producers adapted from the research and development steps of Borg and Gall, which are modified into seven stages. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out in several ways, namely interviews, tests, and questionnaires placed on a likert scale. The results of the feasibility test showed that the teaching materials were in a very worthy category. The readability test results showed that the teaching materials were presenting in the class easily understood. The assessment of students’ responses to teaching materials showed an excellent category to be used by the second-year student of high school as a supporting learning source in the fluid subject learning process.

The Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model is oriented to problem identification, project implementation, and product presentation. This study aims to determine the effect of PjBL learning models and conventional learning on the understanding of student concepts, retention and social attitudes of students of SMA 1 Ambon. The sample in this study were students of class XI IPA-1, totaling 39 students and class XI IPA-3, totaling 39 students in the 2017/2018 Academic Year. The research design used was a nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Data analysis uses inferential statistics, namely the One Way ANOVA test. One Way ANOVA test results showed that the significant value of understanding concepts, retention, and social attitudes was 0,000<0.05. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that there was an influence of the learning model on the understanding of concepts, retention, and social attitudes of Grade XI students of SMA 1 Ambon in studying the concept of the excretion system.

This study aims to determine the description of students towards the use of ICT-based convex mirror material guidebooks. The population of this study was the students of the Jambi University physics education class program in 2018. The sampling technique used total sampling, so that the sample of this study was all physical education students at the University of Jambi with 105 students in class 2018 Indicators of observed process skills included the identification of variables, making tables data, Make a graph, Explain the relationship between variables, Obtain and process data, Analyze investigations, Make hypotheses, Identify variables by ovational, design experiments, and conduct experiments. Process skill data is measured through a basic physics practicum performance evaluation sheet, when practitioners conduct convex mirror practicum activities. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The analysis shows that the average Science Process Skills are categorized as good and very good, this shows that students have mastered the integrated Science Process Skills. The results of this study are expected to be a consideration for physics study programs to conduct related studies for other practicum subjects.
