Abstract

Keterampilan menyimak perlu didukung oleh pendekatan, strategi, atau teknik untuk membantu pembelajar bahasa asing untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman menyimak mahasiswa Program Studi Bahasa Inggris di Universitas Riau dengan menggunakan teknik clustering. Penelitian tindakan kelas menjadi desain penelitian ini. Ada tiga siklus yang dilakukan dengan kegiatan perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil data menunjukkan pada siklus I bahwa 51,.3% mahasiswa mampu memahami dialog melalui teknik clustering. Kemudian pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan pemahaman menyimak dengan persentase 61. 6%. Pada siklus terakhir terjadi peningkatan 74. 4% pada pemahaman menyimak mahasiswa. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan teknik clustering pada kegiatan kelas pemahaman menyimak secara positif mendorong dan membantu mahasiswa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman menyimak bahasa Inggris.

Abstract

Pendidikan khusus merujuk kepada Pendidikan untuk peserta didik yang memiliki kecerdasan luar biasa. Ada beberapa model pembelajaran dapat diaplikasikan untuk melihat apakah model pembelajaran tersebut sesuai diaplikasikan pada peserta didik yang memiliki kecerdasan khusus. Artikel ini melaporkan hasil dari penelitian mengguanakan metode kualitatif dan pendekatan deskriptif analisis untuk mengetahui model pembelajaran terhadap minat anak dan menjadi bahan pertimbangan bagi TK Permata Bunda Takengon. Penelitian ini meliputi 3 Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus (ABK) dari kelas B semester genap. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui pengamatan partisipatif, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Selanjutnya dianalisis dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, pengambilan kesimpulan dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan; (1) MY memiliki jenis ketunaan ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) gangguan tingkah laku atau berkurangnya perhatian terhadap suatu obyek. Kecendrungan kecerdasan spasial visual dan memiliki gaya belajarnya visual (penglihatan) dengan model pembelajaran yang banyak menampilkan gambar dan lukisan; (2) AN memiliki jenis ketunaan slow leaner (lambat belajar), memiliki kecerdasan linguistic (bahasa) dan kecendrungan kedalam gaya belajar auditori (pendengaran) melalui model pembelajaran bercerita dan ceramah; dan (3) AA memiliki jenis ketunaan ADHD (Attention Deficit Hiperaktif Disorder) gangguan tingkah laku hiperaktif, memiliki kecenderungan kecerdasan kenistetik dan spasial visual. Sementara gaya belajarnya tactile/kinestetik (perabaan/gerakan) dan menerapkan model pembelajaran role play dengan mengamati langsung dan merasakan pelajarannya.

Abstract

Kebijakan Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi lulusan, baik soft skills maupun hard skills, agarlebih siap dan relevan dengan kebutuhan zaman, menyiapkan lulusan sebagai pemimpin masa depan bangsa yang unggul dan berkepribadian. Artikelini membahas tentang sebuah penelitian yang bertujuan mengetahui pemahaman dan kesiapan mahasiswa program studi Akuntansi Fakultas EkonomiUniversitas Flores tentang Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM). Penelitian ini mengacu kepada deskriptif kuantitatif. Metode penelitian inimenggunakan metode survey yaitu mahasiswa mengisi kuesioner di SPDA Dikti . Hasil analisis penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa; 53% mahasiswamengetahui sedikit tentang MBKM, 24.69% mahasiswa mengetahui kebijakan MBKM dari media sosial, 49,08% mahasiswa memilih kegiatanmagang/praktek kerja, 46.42% program studi akuntansi sudah memiliki dokumen kurikulum, pedoman dan operasional MBKM, 77.91% mahasiswasudah siap mengikuti program MBKM, 52.35% mahasiswa khawatir mengeluarkan biaya, 74% mahasiswa prodi akuntansi tertarik dengan programMBKM. Lebih jelasnya, mahasiswa program studi Akuntansi masih sedikit memahami tentang Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) dankesiapan mahasiswa program studi akuntansi sudah siap untuk mengikuti program kegiatan Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM).

Abstract

This paper discusses a study that is focused on English Department students’ self-efficacy and self-regulated learning for English content courses in online learning. This study is a quantitative descriptive study that involved 114 English Department students taking in Semantic Class at Universitas Riau. The participants are selected through a saturated sampling technique, where all populations who respond to the questionnaire are the samples of this research. The data are collected from a set of questionnaires that are broadcasted online through the WhatsApp Group feature and analyzed by using descriptive statistics through SPSS Application. The findings show that the English Department students’ self-efficacy and self-regulated learning are high with a total average of 3.83 and 3.57 while learning English content courses in online learning. It can be inferred that the students who have background knowledge in operating technology and are familiar with it, are less likely to experience any problems while learning. Moreover, the understanding about self-efficacy and self-regulated learning should be more cultivating both the teachers and the students.

Abstract

Artikel ini nejelaskan tentang hasil sebuah penelitian kualitatif yang mendiskusikan: 1) perencanaan Problem Based Learning berbantuan sway melalui Whatsapp Group, 2) proses pelaksanaan Problem Based Learning berbantuan Sway melalui Whatsapp Group, 3) Evaluasi pelaksanaan Problem Based Learning berbantuan sway melalui Whatsapp Group. Penelitian ini merujuk kepada metode penelitian kualitatif diskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data divalidasi melalui teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) perencanaan pembelajaran dengan Problem Based Learning berbantuan Sway diawali dengan menginformasikan pembelajaran menggunakan Sway dan membuat Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) yang memuat langkah-langkah Problem-Based Learning yang disampaikan melalui Whatsapp Group 2) Proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran dilakukan sesuai langkah-langkah Problem Based Learning dan Sway yang disampaikan melalui Whatsapp Group sehingga pembelajaran lebih interaktif dan mandiri 3) evaluasi pelaksanaan Problem Based Learning berbantuan Sway melalui Whatsapp Group tak lepas dari kendala-kendala dalam pembelajaran, misalnya masalah jaringan internet dan kuota yang terbatas. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi model alternatif dalam pembelajaran online. Namun, guru harus memberikan perhatian pula pada permasalahan yang dapat timbul saat menerapkan model ini dalam mengajar.

Abstract

This article is based on the research that aims to (1) improve tolerant behaviour and (2) students’ learning outcomes by applying discovery learning models on the Basic Concepts of Sociology, Anthropology, and History subjects for Elementary School Teacher Education students at the Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Universitas Bengkulu. The method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR). CAR consisted of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results indicated that the implementation of the discovery learning model on the Basic Concepts of Sociology, Anthropology, and History subjects could increase (1) tolerance behaviour and (2) students’ learning outcomes at PGSD FKIP of Universitas Bengkulu. It is recommended for the lecturers who taught courses other than the Basic Concepts of Sociology, Anthropology, and History to apply the discovery learning model because it would provide direct experience to students.

Abstract

This article analyzes the effect of the guided inquiry learning model with a puzzle picture on the fifth-grade elementary school students’ learning outcomes on the material of human respiratory organs. The research described in this article is quantitative research with an experimental method. The research population involved fifth-grade elementary school students of Segugus Jenderal Sudirman in Pulokulon. The sample in the research was the fifth-grade students of SDN 4 Karangharjo as an experimental class by applying a guided inquiry model assisted by a puzzle picture and fifth-grade students of SDN Kecil Karangharjo as a control class by applying a conventional model. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data collection techniques were carried out through tests, observations, and documentation. Data analyses were prerequisite analysis tests (normality and homogeneity tests) and hypothesis testing with t-test and Normalized Gain (N-Gain). The results showed that there was an effect of the guided inquiry learning model assisted by a puzzle picture on students’ learning outcomes with the results of tcount of 6.154, ttable of 2.0277. Thus, tcount was higher than ttable.

Abstract

There are still principals, either in public or private schools, who have different educational backgrounds, not only in teacher education but also in the non-educational field. Even the longer they serve as principals, it will create boredom without any mutations so it influences the principal’s performance. The research purpose of this article was to determine the effect of workability and work motivation on the principal’s performance of the elementary school in Bangko Pusako District, Rokan Hilir. The research used a survey method with a correlation technique. The research population involved 137 elementary school teachers in Bangko Pusako Subdistrict, Rokan Hilir. The sample was 101 teachers. Data from the research were collected by using a questionnaire technique. The research outcome showed that there was a positive and significant effect of workability on the principal’s performance of the elementary school in Bangko Pusako District, Rokan Hilir.

Abstract

Teachers as an educator up to now are still not following the rules and needs. Based on the interview results with school principals, the teacher performance of Public Junior High School teachers throughout the Bagan Sinembah District in Rokan Hilir are faced with various problems, they are the teacher's work motivation and organizational climate. The research in this article is to determine and prove that there was an effect of work motivation and organizational climate on teacher performance at SMP Negeri Sinembah in Rokan Hilir. The research population involved 117 teachers who teach at Public Junior High School in Bagan Sinembah Rokan Hilir. Whilst, the sampling technique, which was selected from the population, used Cluster Random Sampling. The research data were obtained by using a questionnaire. The research was quantitative research. The methods used were descriptive statistical methods and inferential statistical methods with parametric statistical techniques. The research outcome showed that there was a positive and significant effect of work motivation on teacher performance at Public Junior High Schools in Bagan Sinembah Rokan Hilir, which was 47.6%. Subsequently, there was a positive and significant effect of organizational climate on teacher performance, which was 42.5%. In addition, there was a positive and significant effect of work motivation and organizational climate on teacher performance, which was 53%.

Abstract

This article reports an analysis of promotion management at SMAN Sports of Riau Province. The research entitled "Management of Promotion for New Student Admissions at SMAN Sports Riau" used a qualitative descriptive approach. The data were obtained through interviews on the sources of research information and observations observed in the institutions and the environment around the institution regarding promotion carried out by SMAN Sports Riau. Sources of data were the principal, public relations, committee that accepted new students, and teachers. Data analysis used the Analysis Interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The research outcome based on the planning of promotion in terms of the acceptance of new students at the Riau Sports Public High School has been applied well. Riau Sports Public High School in planning the promotion has planned specific management for promotion in terms of acceptance of new students. The organization of promotion in terms of the acceptance of new students at the Riau Sports Public High School has been implemented well. Organizing activities conducted were the activity for distributing the roles to all committees. The implementation of promotion in terms of the acceptance of new students at the Sports Public High School has been implemented well. It could be seen from the implementation of promotions that have been applied over the entire regencies or cities in Riau Province run well in accordance with the planning and organizing. Supervision of the promotion for new student admissions at the Sports Public High School has been applied well. The principal and the committee of new student admissions together have reviewed and classified the problems faced as long as advertizing promotion.
