Abstract

This study aimed to produce teaching materials in the form of IPA Modules of living creatures and the environment based on a quality contextual approach in terms of expert validation and testing to students. This development research uses the ADDIE model development procedure (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation). The subjects of this study are students of grade IV-B SD Negeri 033 Tarakan with a total of 24 people. Criteria for quality of IPA module material of living creature relationship and environment, viewed material validation result 98% (very valid), design validation 87.5% (very valid), validation of language 97% (very valid), 100% validation validation (very valid) and validation practitioner 88% (very valid), so the average validation result gets a percentage of 94% (very valid). Based on the questionnaire, the students' responses were 93% (very good) Based on what has been explained that the IPA module based on the contextual approach that has been developed is qualified.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve science learning outcomes by applying science process skill approach to students of grade V-B SDN 045 Tarakan. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subjects were 31 students, male students were 16 students and 15 students. This study was conducted in two cycles each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data obtained in this study include observation sheet of teacher activity, student activity, cognitive and psychomotor research. The results of research by applying science process skill approach can improve science learning outcomes in students of grade V-B SDN 045 Tarakan. In cycle I completeness of learning result of cognitive aspect 54,839% to 90,322% in cycle II, psychomotor aspect of cycle I is 64,516% to 100% in cycle. So it can be concluded that the research has been successful and in accordance with success indicators.

Abstract

Problems experienced by students of class VII SMPN 5 Sumenep namely the science practicum instructionsdoes not contain the components clearly and completely. This makes students do not understand the activities practicum performed. The purpose of this research is to know the feasibility of science practicum instructionsbased on coastal community culture, and student and science teacher's response to the practicum instructions. This research is a research and development (Research and Development) by using Sugiyono development model (2018). The subjects of this study were 12 students of class VII SMPN 5 Sumenep selected at random with 3 students on product simulation test and 9 students on the trial of product usage. The results of feasibility of the science practicum instructionsbased on the culture of coastal communities were averaged at 74% with the criteria deserved for the content of the product and 92.7% for the average product display with very deserved criteria. The student's response is obtained on average 100% for product simulation phase and 96,9% on trial of product usage, with the same category that is very good. IPA teachers' responses to the science practicum instructions based on coastal societies culture are included in the excellent category with an average of 100%.

Abstract

This research aims to find out 1) Remedial teaching implementation using analogy strategy to VII grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Saronggi, 2) Differences of IP science misconception between remedial teaching using analogy strategy and remedial teaching using direct learning strategy, 3) Improvement of student learning outcomes of grade VII after using remedial teaching using analogy strategies. This type of research is quantitative research using quasi experimental design. The sampling technique used cluster random sample technique. Technique of collecting data using test instrument with CRI and non test method. The data were analyzed using Mann-Whitney test. The results showed 1) The implementation of remedial teaching using analogy strategy of 98% with very good category and the implementation of remedial teaching using direct learning strategy of 91% with very good category. 2) Mann-Whitney test result of 0,017 indicating that there is difference of science misconception between remedial teaching using strategy analogies with remedial teaching using direct learning strategy. 3) The result of gain score in the experimental class is 0,71 with the high category, while the control class is 0,52 with the medium category. Remedial teaching using analogy strategies can be used to address misconceptions in students.

Abstract

The aimed of this research is 1) to know the influence of parent's role to the learning achievement of science class VII SMPN 2 Saronggi, 2) to know the influence of learning readiness to science achievement of grade VII students SMPN 2 Saronggi and 3) to know the influence of parent role to Readiness of students of grade VII SMPN 2 Saronggi. Data collection  parent role, readiness of study with questionnaire and learning achievement with documentation study. Data analysis technique used in this research is Structural Equation Model (SEM). The result of this research is 1) there is no influence of parent's role to the achievement of science learning grade VII SMPN 2 Saronggi, because P-value> 0,05 is 0,807, 2) there is influence of readiness study to science achievement of student of class VII SMPN 2 Saronggi Because the value of P-value (0,032) <0,05 and 3) there is no influence of parent role to readiness of student of class VII SMPN 2 Saronggi because value of P-value (0,317)> 0,05. Readiness to learn affect the learning achievement of science class VII SMPN 2 Saronggiurus parent role does not affect the learning achievement and readiness to study class VII SMPN 2 Saronggi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran fisika dengan implementasi model problem based learning (PBL) berbasis literasi sains. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas, dimana setiap siklus terdiri dari 4 tahapan Diantaranya: perencanaan, tindakan, obeservasi dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MAN 1 Pamekasan dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas X IPA-2 yang berjumlah 32 siswa terdiri atas 12 siswa laki-laki dan 20 siswa perempuan. Hasil tes berdasarkan lima indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada saat pra-siklus menunjukkan bahwa presentase keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa sebesar 51.09% dengan kategori sangat rendah. Berdasarkan hasil tes, keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada siklus I adalah 74.22%   dengan kategori sedang, meningkat menjadi 87.34% dengan kategori tinggi pada siklus II atau meningkat sebesar 13.12%. dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi model problem based learning berbasis literasi sains dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

Waste is very serious problem, especially in the Tarakan area. One of the ways to manage waste is through empowering the young generation in 4R-based waste managing (reduce, reuse, recycle and replace). This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach through the type of pre-experiment. This study measures the knowledge, skills and attitudes of students in Department of Elementary Teacher School in University of Borneo Tarakan. The pre-experiment research design carried out was one pretest-posttest group on observing student knowledge, and one shot case study on observing skills and attitudes. aspects of knowledge obtained an average before the activity of 50,625 and the average after activity amounted to 79,13889. On the skill aspect, the results obtained on a 1-5 Likert scale on a reduce of 4.5; reuse of 4.25; recycle 4.12; and replace 3.98. The attitude aspect was obtained at 80% in affective, and 76.5% in conative.
