Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Trading Volume Activity and Company Size on Stock Returns in companies listed on the LQ45 Index. This research uses quantitative methods. The population in this study were companies listed on the LQ45 Index for the period 2015 - 2019. The sample selection used a purposive sampling method. There are 9 companies that meet the criteria as research samples, so the research data is 45 data. The data collection techniques used were document review, data analysis in the form of annual financial reports, previous research journals and other literature related to research problems. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. Data analysis using IBM SPSS statistics, 24.0 software. The results showed that partially the Trading Volume Activity variable had no significant effect on Stock Returns. Firm Size Variable has a positive and significant effect on Stock Return. The coefficient of determination shows that the value of Adjusted R Square is 0.168. This means that the ability of the independent variable in explaining the variation of the dependent variable is 16.8% while 83.2% is explained by other independent variables that are not explained in this study.

Abstract

In the process of placing employees in a company, it requires special care and policies from the leadership so as not to cause problems with the work to be occupied. This research was conducted to determine the function of leadership in the process of placing employees at PT. Duta Mandiri Palembang, of course, requires a variety of instruments, ranging from facilities and infrastructure to human resources, as well as the character of a leader. The character of a leader and the function of a leader itself is one of the main factors in the management of an organization, both government and private. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative research method, where the researcher collects data obtained from the sources studied through observation, interviews, and documentation related to the research title. From the research results, it is known that employees at PT. Duta Mandiri Palembang has outlined the policies given by the leadership in the form of a positive response to the assigned duties and responsibilities.

Abstract

The company's main goal is to increase the prosperity of owners and shareholders and to maximize the value of the company. Company value is the main focus in order to attract potential investors to invest, the company expects that financial managers can do the best for the company by maximizing the value of the company so that the welfare of shareholders can be achieved. This study aims to determine the effect of investment decisions, company size, and profitability on firm value in food and beverage sub-sector manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014-2017. The sampling technique in this study was the purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study were 10 companies in a period of 4 years. The analysis technique used in this study is panel data regression analysis using Eviews software. The results showed that investment decisions had a positive effect on firm value, company size had no effect on firm value, and profitability had a positive effect on firm value. Future research is recommended to add variables or conduct research in other industries and use different methods.

Abstract

Science requires an assumption, an assumption is needed to overcome the study so that a problem does not become wide, and it is this assumption that provides direction and the basis for our study activities. Science has three assumptions about empirical objects. First, assuming certain objects have similarities to one another. Second, the assumption that an object does not change in a certain period of time, and the third is Determinism, which is a scientific assumption which assumes that a symptom is not an accidental event. Every symptom has a certain pattern that is fixed with the same sequence of events.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of product quality, promotion, and brand image on increasing sales. The population in this study were visitors who came to the Jagorawi Motor Showroom, while the number of samples in this study was 100 consumers of the Jagorawi Motor Showroom in Pangkalpinang. Testing in this study uses multiple linear regression analysis, analysis of the coefficient on determination, and hypothesis testing. T-test results of product quality, promotion, and brand image are obtained sig <0.05 where partially the independent variables have a positive effect on the dependent variable. F test results indicate that the independent variables jointly have a positive effect on the dependent variable accepted. The coefficient of determination (R Square) shows that product quality, promotion, and brand image can influence sales increase by 50.4%, while the remaining 49.6% is explained by other variables outside the research model.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of location, price, and brand image on purchasing decisions of Pangkalpinang City housing. The population in this study were consumers who had bought subsidized houses in Pangkalpinang City. The sample was determined based on a non-probability sampling method, with a quota technique of 120 respondents. The results of this study indicate that the influence of location, price, and brand image affects the decision to purchase subsistence houses in the city of Pangggkalpinang

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and determine the effect of compensation factors, competence and technology on motivation and the influence of motivational factors on performance, with employee respondents who work at the Head Office of PT TIMAH Tbk. The data is processed by path analysis. From the results of hypothesis testing, it is concluded that there is an effect of compensation, competence, IT technology on motivation, and motivation variables have an effect on performance. Based on the conclusion, the influence of competence has a very big influence on the motivation of employees at the PT TIMAH Tbk Head Office, for that it needs to be maintained and increase its influence on motivation again. In an effort to improve performance, it is advisable to management at the Head Office of PT TIMAH Tbk to be able to place the required employees according to their competencies so that organizational goals can be achieved effectively and efficiently. Further research is needed by adding other variables, in order to determine future policies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style, work ethic, discipline, and motivation on performance and its impact on employee performance at the Ministry of Religion Office of Pangkalpinang City, testing the hypothesis by referring to the relationship between three variables, namely independent, intervening and dependent. Sampling using the census method with a population of 63 respondents. The analysis technique to test the hypothesis using multiple linear regression analysis, from the calculation of the correlation analysis, it is found that the relationship between leadership, work culture, motivation to work discipline has a strong relationship between the three. The results of statistical testing show the F test (Simultaneous Test) for the variable Leadership Style, Work Ethic, Discipline, and Motivation has a positive influence on performance. Meanwhile, from the results of the t-test (Partial Test), the variable Leadership Style, Work Ethic, Discipline, and motivation individually (partially) have a significant positive effect on performance. Further research, should add other variables that can affect employee performance, because the better the performance of the employee, it will also have a good effect on the organization.

Abstract

The library is the heart of the formal education world, so the library needs to be arranged in such a way as to become a space or place that is interesting and fun for all readers. Informing or organizing a library, it is necessary for the cooperation of all school residents to obtain the expected results. This paper seeks to explain the efforts of schools and libraries in increasing student and community interest in reading. In order to attract students to visit the library of Jebus 1 Public High School, librarians package the library in such a way as to give the name "Depati Bahrin reading park" with the aim to arouse interest, increase references by procuring new books, widening space and spatial planning, working with stakeholders, establishing gazebos, forming natural classes, procuring information literacy galleries, procuring mobile literacy with "keraca" (reading baskets), adding supporting libraries and thematic libraries, and adding facilities and infrastructure including security gates, barcodes, air conditioners, etc. From the various efforts that have been made by the school and librarians, there has been an increase in visits from both students and the community, this library also gained achievements at the local, regional and national level.

Abstract

Land and Building Tax is one of the regional revenues whose potential must be a concern because the object of land and building tax is that some people have it and can increase regional revenues. Some people still think that paying taxes is a burden, so they are reluctant to pay taxes, even though paying taxes is an obligation for taxpayers to be paid. The purpose of this study was to analyze taxpayer compliance in paying land and building taxes. This research is a sampling technique using the cluster sampling method, with as many as 34 taxpayers as respondents. The results of this study conclude that: taxpayer awareness factor has a positive and significant influence on taxpayer compliance in paying Land and Building Tax (PBB). The knowledge factor of taxpayers also has a positive and significant effect on taxpayer compliance in paying Land and Building Tax (PBB).
