Abstract

This study explores how Batak culture persists and adapts within the Malay region, focusing on Palas Village in Rumbai District, Pekanbaru City. Using a qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and document analysis, the research finds that Batak people make up about 70% of the village’s population. Despite this demographic dominance, social relations between Batak and Malay communities remain harmonious, supported by strong tolerance, cooperation, and mutual respect. Migration to Palas is mainly driven by economic opportunities, affordable land, kinship ties, and the traditional Batak practice of merantau. The Batak community maintains cultural values such as clan solidarity and respect for others while adapting to local Malay customs. This harmonious acculturation shows that cultural identity can be preserved while integrating with new social environments, reflecting Indonesia’s broader practice of multiculturalism.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the process and effectiveness of teaching Arabic listening skills (maharah istima’) using the Kitab Muhawaroh Haditsah through the Collaborative Learning (CL) approach at MTs An-Nuur Palembang. The background of the study stems from students’ low motivation and achievement in Arabic listening skills due to monotonous, teacher-centered methods. This research employs a mixed-method approach combining qualitative and quantitative techniques. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and pre-test and post-test instruments. The study involved seventh-grade students as participants. The findings show that implementing the Collaborative Learning approach with Kitab Muhawaroh Haditsah significantly improved students’ engagement and listening comprehension. Quantitative analysis revealed that the students’ average score increased from 42.5% in the pre-test to 83% in the post-test, with a significance value of <0.05 in the t-test, indicating a statistically significant improvement. Thus, the use of the Kitab Muhawaroh Haditsah through Collaborative Learning proved effective in enhancing Arabic listening skills and fostering active, cooperative learning among students.

Abstract

The low reading literacy scores of Indonesian students in international assessments, such as PISA, highlight a serious problem. This condition is also reflected at SD Negeri Kaliurang 1, where data shows a significant decline in reading competency. This study aims to comprehensively describe the problems of low reading interest among elementary school students, focusing on the roles of teachers and parents. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation studies involving fourth-grade students, their parents, and teachers. The findings indicate that the problem stems from internal and external factors. Internally, students lack intrinsic motivation, show low analytical perseverance, and struggle with text comprehension. Externally, parents provide minimal literacy role models, structured support, and facilities at home. Meanwhile, teachers' strategies are more focused on technical reading fluency rather than fostering a love of reading, and library visits are not optimally guided. The study concludes that the root of the problem lies in the suboptimal role of parents and teachers in creating a supportive literacy ecosystem. Therefore, the fundamental solution requires empowering both parties through programs that enhance parental capacity and encourage teachers to adopt more engaging reading strategies, supported by intensive collaboration.

Abstract

The impact of education privatization and fitness privatization on access and quality of education in Samarinda City, East Kalimantan, was examined through a qualitative approach. Education privatization is seen as having a potential dual impact: on the one hand, it can spur innovation and improve quality, but on the other hand, it can create barriers to access, especially for students from low-income backgrounds. On the other hand, paid fitness programs act as an external factor that can support educational quality by improving students' physical fitness, endurance, and learning health. The effects of fitness privatization on educational quality are more indirect: with good private fitness programs, students experience improved physical condition, stamina, concentration, and learning motivation, which in turn supports their academic performance. However, limited access to private fitness services for some students presents a barrier to realizing these benefits. The study concludes that to improve educational quality and equitable access, a stronger state role is needed in regulation, subsidies, or public-private partnerships, as well as policies that ensure private education and fitness services are not exclusive but inclusive.

Abstract

This study examines the strategic role of Human Resource Management (HRM) in improving organizational performance amid dynamic internal and external changes. HRM is no longer viewed as a purely administrative function but as a central pillar that shapes organizational capability through the management of competencies, work culture, leadership, and systems that drive employee effectiveness. Using a literature review approach, this study analyzes various scholarly perspectives and empirical findings regarding the relationship between HRM practices such as recruitment, selection, placement, performance management, and leadership and organizational performance. The results indicate that well-implemented and strategically aligned HRM practices strengthen human capital, increase productivity, enhance organizational culture, and create sustainable competitive advantage. The integration between HRM strategy and organizational strategy is found to be crucial in ensuring goal alignment and operational effectiveness. This study concludes that HRM serves as a foundational element in connecting individual potential with the achievement of long-term organizational objectives.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan efektivitas media pembelajaran Minimart Edu dalam upaya meningkatkan literasi ekonomi siswa kelas IV SDN Slopeng II pada materi jual beli mata pelajaran IPAS. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi. partisipan, dan dokumentasi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Minimart Edu mampu meningkatkan tingkat pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep jual beli melalui simulasi interaktif yang menyerupai kegiatan ekonomi nyata. Media ini juga menumbuhkan literasi ekonomi siswa, seperti kemampuan memahami nilai uang, membedakan kebutuhan dan keinginan, serta menunjukkan sikap jujur, tanggung jawab, dan kerja sama. Dengan demikian, Minimart Edu efektif dimanfaatkan sebagai media pembelajaran kontekstual yang tidak hanya memperkuat pemahaman konsep ekonomi dasar, sekaligus mengasah karakter dan keterampilan abad ke-21.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the biomechanics of the cross punch in boxing using the Kinovea application as a kinematic measurement tool. The analysis is important to understand technical effectiveness, movement efficiency, and the contribution of hip and shoulder rotation as well as core stability to punching force. The study focuses on analyzing the transition and final phases of the cross punch to obtain information on joint angle changes and energy distribution during the movement. The results are expected to provide scientific insight into the biomechanical characteristics of the cross punch, which can serve as a reference for technical training and performance improvement in athletes

Abstract

Active learning is an approach that places students at the center of the learning process through direct involvement in various activities. The teacher acts as a facilitator who builds effective communication so that the class atmosphere becomes interactive and encourages students to be more active. Student activity makes an important contribution to understanding the material and improving learning outcomes. Game methods, especially puzzles, are strategies that support the implementation of active learning. Puzzles make the learning process more interesting while training students' critical thinking, concentration, creativity and collaboration skills. Challenges in puzzles increase motivation and encourage student participation in learning activities. Based on studies conducted, the use of puzzles has proven to be effective in increasing the activity, motivation and learning outcomes of elementary school students. In this way, puzzles can be used as an innovative learning medium that is able to create an interactive and fun learning atmosphere.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan bagaimana interaksi sosial terbangun antara siswa reguler dan siswa berkebutuhan khusus di SD Integral Hidayatullah. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini, dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi serta wawancara terhadap guru, guru pendamping, dan beberapa siswa. Temuan penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa siswa reguler mampu menjalin hubungan yang baik dengan siswa berkebutuhan khusus, terlihat dari sikap menerima, membantu, dan bekerja sama dalam kegiatan pembelajaran maupun aktivitas sehari-hari di sekolah. Guru dan guru pendamping memiliki peran penting dalam memberikan arahan kepada siswa serta menciptakan suasana yang aman dan inklusif. Walaupun masih terdapat kendala seperti gangguan komunikasi dan penyesuaian perilaku pada sebagian ABK, penerapan pendidikan inklusif di sekolah ini berjalan dengan cukup efektif. Secara keseluruhan, hubungan sosial antara siswa reguler dan ABK di SD Integral Hidayatullah berkembang positif dan mendukung pertumbuhan sosial emosional seluruh peserta didik

Abstract

Studies on stylistic features in maulid texts have largely focused on religious and historical aspects, while linguistic analyses particularly of jinas as a component of Arabic rhetoric (balāghah) remain limited and rarely connected to pedagogical implications. This study aims to analyze the forms, types, and functions of jinas in the Maulid Adhiya Ulami’ by Al Habib Umar bin Hafidz and to formulate a balāghah learning design based on maulid texts. The research employs a qualitative approach using descriptive-analytical methods. Primary data are drawn from the text of Maulid Adhiya Ulami’, while secondary data include balāghah literature, relevant previous studies, and instructional documents. Data collection techniques consist of documentation, interviews, and focus group discussions, and data analysis is conducted through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification, using a stylistic approach with a focus on phonological and morphological aspects. The findings reveal that the maulid text contains various types of jinas, including jinas tām and jinas ghair tām, such as jinas nāqiṣ, al-muqārib, and al-muṣaḥḥaf, which function in a multidimensional manner. Jinas not only enhances sound beauty, rhythm, and musicality but also strengthens meaning, emphasizes moral and da‘wah messages, builds spiritual experiences, and smooths the narrative flow of the Prophet’s biography. These findings indicate that maulid texts have strong potential as integrative, contextual, and meaningful resources for teaching Arabic rhetoric])
