Abstract

Islamic education in multicultural societies faces serious challenges due to the rise of religious exclusivism, identity polarization, and the impacts of globalization and digital transformation. These conditions demand a conceptual formulation of Islamic education that is inclusive, dialogical, and responsive to social diversity. This study aims to analyze the concept of multicultural Islamic education from the perspective of M. Amin Abdullah and to examine its relevance for the development of Islamic education in the era of Society 5.0. This research employs a qualitative approach with a literature review and intellectual biography design, using primary sources from M. Amin Abdullah’s works and relevant scholarly literature. Data analysis is conducted through qualitative content analysis combined with a hermeneutic approach. The findings indicate that multicultural Islamic education in M. Amin Abdullah’s perspective is grounded in the integration–interconnection paradigm, which connects normative Islamic teachings with the realities of social pluralism. This paradigm encourages Islamic education to foster not only individual piety but also social piety oriented toward humanitarian ethics, interreligious dialogue, and social responsibility. The study concludes that M. Amin Abdullah’s thought holds strategic relevance in addressing the challenges of Islamic education in the Society 5.0 era, particularly in developing inclusive, adaptive, and humane Islamic education.

Abstract

Cultural globalization is a global phenomenon that has brought significant changes in patterns of social interaction, identity construction, and societal value systems, including within the field of education. This condition poses serious challenges for Islamic education, particularly in shaping learners who are tolerant, inclusive, and capable of living harmoniously in plural societies. Multicultural Islamic education is viewed as a strategic approach to responding to these challenges through the integration of Islamic values with principles of respect for cultural, ethnic, and social diversity. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of multicultural Islamic education in responding to cultural globalization, with a particular focus on strengthening students’ multicultural competence. The study employs a qualitative approach using library research. Data were collected from scholarly journal articles and academic books relevant to the research topic. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis with a thematic approach. The findings indicate that multicultural Islamic education has a strong conceptual and theoretical foundation and is highly relevant in addressing the dynamics of cultural globalization. Multicultural Islamic education functions not only as a medium for the transmission of religious values but also as a means of developing students’ multicultural competence through the internalization of values such as justice, human fraternity, and compassion. Nevertheless, studies examining the dynamics of implementing multicultural Islamic education, particularly at the level of basic education, remain limited and require further empirical investigation. This study is expected to provide a conceptual contribution to the development of Islamic education that is more inclusive and responsive to the realities of a pluralistic global society

Abstract

This study aims to find out the perception of students of the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education Study Program (PGMI) towards the innovation of interactive rotary wheel media based on simple tools in an effort to strengthen the character of the Pancasila Student Profile. Interactive rotary wheel media was chosen because it is easy to make, economical, and can be used flexibly in various learning contexts in elementary schools and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This study uses a descriptive approach with PGMI student subjects who have used or tried the media in learning activities. The results of the study show that students consider that interactive rotary wheel media has high usefulness because it is able to increase activeness, motivation, and understanding of learning concepts, as well as instill character values such as cooperation, responsibility, and critical reasoning. From the aspect of suitability, this media is considered relevant to the needs and competencies of students as prospective teachers, because it encourages creativity and trains the skills of designing learning media based on real conditions in schools. The level of student satisfaction with the use of this media is also relatively good, especially because it looks attractive and is easy to operate. However, this study also found some negative impacts, such as limited material variation if the media is not further developed and requires sufficient preparation time for students. Overall, the innovation of interactive rotary wheel media based on simple tools is considered feasible and effective to be used as an alternative learning media that supports strengthening the character of the Pancasila Student Profile for PGMI students.

Abstract

Prestasi belajar siswa sekolah menengah pertama masih relatif rendah karena karena keterbatasan kemampuan guru dalam menerapkan strategi pembelajaran yang beragam dan inovatif, yang cenderung membuat siswa menjadi pasif, kurang termotivasi, dan tidak terlibat secara optimal. dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Selain itu, kurangnya penguatan, umpan balik, dan Apresiasi terhadap usaha siswa dapat mengurangi minat siswa dalam belajar, dan pengembangan diri. kepercayaan diri, dan motivasi untuk berprestasi. Manajemen kelas yang tidak tepat, Penyampaian materi dan evaluasi pembelajaran juga menghambat pencapaian pembelajaran. tujuan, yang mengakibatkan rendahnya prestasi siswa di berbagai aspek kognitif, afektif, dan ranah psikomotorik. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menentukan dampak dari penerapan Strategi pembelajaran penguatan positif terhadap prestasi belajar siswa berdasarkan nilai-nilai Pancasila. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan Desain pra-eksperimental dengan Desain Pra-Uji–Pasca-Uji Satu Kelompok. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari satu kelas, yaitu kelas VIII.C, dengan jumlah sampel keseluruhan. dari 32 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui instrumen pretest dan posttest dan dianalisis menggunakan uji t dengan perangkat lunak SPSS 27. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa Penerapan strategi pembelajaran penguatan positif secara statistik memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar siswa yang berlandaskan pada Pancasila nilai. Analisis uji-t menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, dengan Skor rata-rata posttest sebesar 86,40 lebih tinggi daripada skor pretest sebesar 48,28. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran penguatan positif efektif. dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa sekaligus mendukung internalisasi Nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam praktik pembelajaran di kelas yang mendorong partisipasi aktif, motivasi, disiplin, tanggung jawab, kerja sama, dan pengembangan karakter di kalangan siswa sekolah menengah pertama.

Abstract

Low academic integrity, such as cheating and plagiarism, remains a common issue among junior high school students, leading to a lack of responsibility and honesty in learning. This condition not only affects students’ learning attitudes but also hampers the development of essential 21st-century skills, particularly creative thinking and mathematical communication. These skills require students to generate new ideas while presenting them coherently, logically, and comprehensibly. However, many junior high school students still face difficulties in both aspects. This study aims to examine the role of academic integrity in optimizing the implementation of Project Based Blended Learning (PjB2L) to enhance students’ creative thinking and mathematical communication skills. The study employed a quasi-experimental method with a posttest-only control group design involving class VIII-E (PjB2L) and VIII-F (Direct Instruction). Research instruments included a creative thinking test, a mathematical communication test, and an academic integrity questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Two Way MANOVA. The results revealed that PjB2L had a significant effect on improving students’ creativity and communication through active engagement in contextual problem-solving, project design, and presentation. Moreover, academic integrity strengthened the effectiveness of PjB2L, as students who demonstrated honesty, discipline, and consistency achieved better outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the quality of Javanese language learning for third-grade students at SD Negeri Nogosaren, particularly in reading Javanese script. The focus is to enhance teacher performance and students’ reading skills through the implementation of the Quantum Teaching model assisted by letter card media. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and Taggart spiral model, which includes four stages: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subjects were 11 third-grade students of SD Negeri Nogosaren. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. The results showed that the Quantum Teaching model with letter card media effectively improved students’ ability to read Javanese script. The average score in the pre-cycle was 51 with 18.18% mastery. It increased to 59 with 36.36% mastery in the first cycle, and to 86 with 90.91% mastery in the second cycle. Thus, the application of the Quantum Teaching model assisted by letter card media effectively enhanced students’ Javanese script reading skills.

Abstract

Paradigma pendidikan global telah bergeser secara masif menuju literasi digital, menuntut evaluasi yang mampu menangkap navigasi kognitif kompleks dalam membaca narasi digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkalibrasi kualitas psikometrik instrumen "Tes Pemahaman Membaca Narasi Digital" (TPMND) menggunakan pendekatan Item Response Theory (IRT), khususnya Model Partial Credit (PCM) Rasch, yang dianggap lebih unggul dari Teori Tes Klasik (CTT) yang terbatas dalam mengukur skor bertingkat. Penelitian dengan desain deskriptif kuantitatif ini melibatkan 450 siswa yang dipilih melalui multistage random sampling. Instrumen, yang terdiri dari 25 butir soal esai pendek dengan rubrik analitik skor 0-3, dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak Winsteps untuk menguji unidimensialitas, kesesuaian butir, reliabilitas, dan keberfungsian kategori skor. Hasil analisis menunjukkan instrumen memiliki validitas konstruk sangat kuat dengan raw variance explained by measures sebesar 46,2% dan unexplained variance pada kontras pertama hanya 5,8%, membuktikan sifat unidimensionalnya. Dari 25 butir, 23 butir sesuai model, dengan dua butir (Item 14 dan 22) perlu revisi karena terminologi yang membingungkan. Indeks reliabilitas item (0,96) dan person (0,89) tergolong sangat baik, menunjukkan konsistensi internal tinggi dan kemampuan membedakan siswa ke dalam beberapa strata kemampuan. Analisis PCM membuktikan struktur penskoran 0-3 berfungsi optimal dengan ambang batas yang terurut. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa model Rasch tidak hanya memberikan presisi pengukuran yang lebih tinggi, tetapi juga menawarkan fungsi diagnostik yang krusial, memungkinkan pendidik mengidentifikasi hambatan kognitif spesifik siswa dan memberikan umpan balik yang lebih targetted dalam evaluasi literasi digital.

Abstract

This study aims to design and implement a culture-based curriculum as a strategy to enhance students’ character at SDN Prigen II, Prigen District, Pasuruan Regency. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques of participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, the results show that the integration of local religious cultural values (habituation of reciting the Qur’an and Asmaul Husna, rotating Dhuha prayer, collective prayer, greeting etiquette, and mutual cooperation) into the Merdeka Curriculum has successfully shaped students’ religious character, discipline, responsibility, social care, and cooperation. The proposed culture-based curriculum design consists of three main pillars: (1) integration of cultural values in intracrurricular learning, (2) daily habituation through school culture, and (3) reinforcement through extracurricular activities and parental involvement. The implementation over one semester revealed a significant decrease in bullying cases from 12 (previous semester) to 3 cases, an increase in attendance and uniform discipline to 98%, and an average increase of 28% in religious and social attitude scores based on teacher journals and observation rubrics. This study concludes that a culture-based curriculum rooted in local religious values is proven effective as a contextual approach to character education in elementary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh motivasi kerja, disiplin kerja, dan kompensasi terhadap kinerja pegawai melalui kepuasan kerja sebagai variabel mediasi pada Badan Kepegawaian dan Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia (BKPSDM) Kabupaten Kutai Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksplanatori. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada seluruh pegawai BKPSDM Kabupaten Kutai Timur dengan teknik sampling jenuh. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi kerja dan kompensasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja, sedangkan disiplin kerja berpengaruh signifikan dengan arah negatif terhadap kepuasan kerja. Selanjutnya, kepuasan kerja terbukti berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Hasil pengujian pengaruh tidak langsung menunjukkan bahwa kepuasan kerja mampu memediasi pengaruh motivasi kerja, disiplin kerja, dan kompensasi terhadap kinerja pegawai. Temuan yang menarik adalah bahwa meskipun disiplin kerja memiliki pengaruh langsung yang negatif terhadap kinerja, melalui kepuasan kerja pengaruh tidak langsungnya menjadi positif dan signifikan. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa peningkatan kinerja pegawai di sektor publik tidak hanya bergantung pada penerapan aturan dan sistem penghargaan, tetapi juga pada kemampuan organisasi dalam menciptakan kepuasan kerja yang berkelanjutan. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar bagi pengambil kebijakan dalam merancang strategi pengelolaan sumber daya manusia yang lebih efektif dan berorientasi pada aspek psikologis pegawai.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dalam pembelajaran Matematika di kelas IV SD Muhammadiyah 014 Pulau Payung. Salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah penerapan model Games Based Learning berbasis Wordwall. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada materi pengukuran luas dan volume. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 19 siswa kelas IV. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan instrumen yang digunakan berupa modul ajar, lembar observasi, dan lembar tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada setiap siklus. Nilai rata-rata pratindakan sebesar 31,05 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 10,53%. Pada siklus I pertemuan pertama meningkat menjadi 39,73 (21,05%), siklus I pertemuan kedua 61,84 (42,10%), siklus II pertemuan pertama 74,60 (63,16%), dan siklus II pertemuan kedua meningkat menjadi 86,57 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 100%. Dengan demikian, model Games Based Learning berbasis Wordwall efektif meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa.
