Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology requires elementary school principals to shift their leadership paradigm from administrative orientation to digital instructional leadership. This study aims to describe the role of school principals as learning designers and analyze their strategies in building a digital learning ecosystem in elementary schools. This qualitative descriptive research was conducted at SDN 64 Kota Jambi, SDN 42 Kota Jambi, and SDN 106 Muaro Jambi, involving principals, teachers, and students as informants. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles & Huberman interactive model. The findings reveal that principals have begun to demonstrate their role as learning designers through planning, organizing, and implementing basic digital learning initiatives. However, their focus is still limited to providing facilities and general guidance for teachers rather than designing comprehensive digital learning experiences. Schools are categorized as having moderate digital readiness, with unstable internet networks and limited projectors. Teachers’ use of digital media is present but inconsistent, and the digital culture has not been fully established. The study concludes that principals’ strategies need to be strengthened in designing systematic digital learning, developing teacher competencies, and conducting structured evaluations to support a sustainable digital learning ecosystem.

Abstract

The author's concern for students, namely not being able to prove what their arguments are. The lack of student literacy so that every material related to interpreting and writing, they will have difficulty understanding and conveying their ideas into an argumentative text, is the background to this research. One effort that can be made is to apply the Number Head Together learning model in writing argumentative texts. This study aims to: 1) test the effectiveness of the Number Head Together model in writing argumentative texts for class XI SMA Negeri 1 Sukagumiwang and 2) find out how students' activities use the Number Head Together (NHT) learning model in the argumentative text writing skills of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Sukagumiwang. This study uses an experimental method with the True Experimental Design experimental method (a real experiment). The population of this study were all students of class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Sukagumiwang. By using the purposive sampling technique, class XI.8 was determined as the experimental class with 33 students and class XI.9 as the control class with 33 students. Research data were collected through written tests and observation sheets.  Based on the results of statistical calculations using test tests, this shows that there is no difference in the average value between the initial test results of students in the experimental class and the control class. In the statistical results of the normality test of normal data and the homogeneity test, the results are homogeneous so that in the final test hypothesis test, a probability value (Sig.) Of 0.001 was obtained because 0.001 <0.05. Thus, it can be stated that the NHT learning model is effective in writing argumentative texts for class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Sukagumiwang.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how elementary school teachers implement classroom management strategies to create a conducive learning environment. The research was conducted in response to the inconsistent quality of classroom management practices observed in schools and the need for clearer understanding of how these strategies operate in real settings. The study identifies key components of effective classroom management and highlight how teachers’ approaches contribute to student engagement and a productive learning atmosphere. A descriptive qualitative design was employed using Miles and Huberman’s analysis model. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews with two classroom teachers and students at SDN 6 Ciseureuh, and documentation in field notes and photographs. The analysis involved three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Classroom management was implemented through flexible classroom arrangements that support collaboration, diverse instructional strategies including interactive lectures, group discussions, media integration, and educational games, and behavior management centered on dialogic communication, positive reinforcement, and collaboration with parents. Some classrooms still showed uneven teacher attention, particularly in monitoring students in different seating areas. The findings demonstrate that integrated classroom management strategies foster a conducive learning environment and enhance student engagement. However, contextual constraints such as classroom renovation and variations in teacher monitoring may limit the generalizability. Future research involving a larger number of classrooms and comparative settings is recommended to strengthen the transferability. Keywords: management, learning strategies, conducive learning environment ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana guru sekolah dasar menerapkan strategi manajemen kelas untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebagai respons terhadap kualitas praktik manajemen kelas yang belum konsisten di sekolah serta kebutuhan akan pemahaman yang lebih jelas mengenai bagaimana strategi-strategi tersebut diterapkan dalam konteks nyata. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi komponen utama manajemen kelas yang efektif dan menyoroti bagaimana pendekatan guru berkontribusi terhadap keterlibatan siswa dan terciptanya suasana belajar yang produktif. Penelitian menggunakan desain kualitatif deskriptif dengan model analisis Miles dan Huberman. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi kelas, wawancara dengan dua guru kelas dan siswa di SDN 6 Ciseureuh, serta dokumentasi berupa catatan lapangan dan foto. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tiga tahap, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Manajemen kelas diterapkan melalui pengaturan kelas yang fleksibel untuk mendukung kolaborasi, penggunaan strategi pembelajaran yang beragam seperti ceramah interaktif, diskusi kelompok, integrasi media, dan permainan edukatif, serta pengelolaan perilaku yang berfokus pada komunikasi dialogis, penguatan positif, dan kerja sama dengan orang tua. Namun, beberapa kelas masih menunjukkan ketidakseimbangan perhatian guru, khususnya dalam memantau siswa di area tempat duduk yang berbeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi manajemen kelas yang terintegrasi mampu menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif dan meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa. Akan tetapi, keterbatasan kontekstual seperti renovasi ruang kelas dan variasi dalam pemantauan guru dapat membatasi tingkat generalisasi temuan. Penelitian selanjutnya yang melibatkan jumlah kelas yang lebih banyak dan setting perbandingan disarankan untuk memperkuat transferabilitas hasil penelitian.

Abstract

Respect for teachers is a fundamental aspect of character education in Islam, as outlined in Taʻlīm al-Mutaʻallim by al-Zarnūjī. According to al-Zarnūjī, a teacher is not merely a transmitter of knowledge but also a spiritual guide and moral role model for students. The concept of ta‘zīm reverence for teachers serves as a foundational value in the character formation process, encompassing manners, courtesy, and personal integrity. This study aims to examine how the concept of respect for teachers, as a form of character education, is portrayed in Taʻlīm al-Mutaʻallim. Employing a qualitative approach through library research and content analysis of the primary text and supporting literature, this study reveals that respect for teachers as central figures and primary facilitators of knowledge is at the heart of al-Zarnūjī’s concept of ta‘zīm. The findings underscore the notion that teachers play a pivotal role not only in the transmission of knowledge but also in the moral and spiritual development of students.

Abstract

Based on the results of observations and interviews with teachers of grade I students of SDN Ngadi and SDN Blimbing 1, the learning process tends to be monotonous because it uses Teacher Center-based learning. This learning model can cause students to get bored easily and lack enthusiasm in learning. This is the background of this study to provide game-based ice breaking to grade I students. This study was conducted with the aim of determining the effect of implementing game-based ice breaking on the abilities of grade I students in learning addition and subtraction materials. The type of design used in this study is Quasi Experimental Design with the form of Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The data collection technique used in this study was a questionnaire, in addition to using learning devices, and tests in the form of pretests and posttests. While the data analysis technique used was quantitative data analysis. The results of the study on the influence of Ice Breaking are as follows: 1) Learning addition and subtraction material without the application of game-based ice breaking has a less than optimal effect on the abilities of grade I elementary school students, 2) Learning addition and subtraction material with the application of game-based ice breaking has a significant effect on the abilities of grade I elementary school students, and 3) There is a difference in the abilities of grade I elementary school students between the application of addition and subtraction material learning without game-based ice breaking and the application of addition and subtraction material learning using game-based ice breaking.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepemimpinan Islam terhadap kinerja guru di lembaga pendidikan Islam menggunakan pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Sebanyak 45 artikel dari jurnal yang diterbitkan dalam periode 2012 hingga 2022 telah diidentifikasi, dan setelah proses seleksi, 20 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria relevansi dikaji secara mendalam. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan Islam, yang berlandaskan nilai-nilai kejujuran, keadilan, dan keteladanan, memiliki dampak positif terhadap kinerja guru. Faktor utama yang berperan dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan kinerja guru meliputi keteladanan pemimpin, dukungan moral, serta komunikasi partisipatif. Meski demikian, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa dampak positif tersebut dapat terhambat jika tidak didukung oleh kebijakan organisasi yang jelas dan lingkungan kerja yang kondusif. Studi ini juga menemukan adanya celah penelitian terkait hubungan spesifik antara kepemimpinan Islam dan kinerja guru, serta kurangnya kajian terhadap faktor moderasi dan mediasi yang memengaruhi hubungan tersebut. Implikasi praktis dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya para pemimpin lembaga pendidikan Islam untuk konsisten mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Islam dalam gaya kepemimpinan mereka, sekaligus memastikan adanya dukungan lingkungan kerja yang mendorong pengembangan profesional guru. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pemahaman yang lebih komprehensif mengenai hubungan antara kepemimpinan Islam dan kinerja guru, serta membuka ruang bagi penelitian lebih lanjut yang lebih terfokus.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The Effectiveness of Using Wordwall Media to Improve Student Learning Outcomes on the Material of Indonesian Cultural Wealth. This study aims to examine whether there is an effectiveness of the application of Wordwall media on learning outcomes on the material of Indonesian Cultural Wealth in class IV of Tarikolot 04 State Elementary School, Bogor Regency in the 2024/2025 academic year. The results of this study indicate that there is an effectiveness of using wordwall media on learning outcomes on Indonesian Cultural Wealth Material. This can be seen from the average value of N-Gain in the experimental class of 79, while the average value of N-Gain in the control class is 71.5. The completeness of learning outcomes obtained by the experimental class group was 82.5% while the control class was 70%. As well as the results of hypothesis testing that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted because t-count (5,03356) > t-table (1.99085). From the results of the study it can be concluded that the use of Wordwall media is effective on the learning outcomes of Indonesian Cultural Wealth Material. The results of this study are expected to provide new knowledge about the use of Wordwall media to improve learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study was motivated by a unique phenomenon, namely female students studying at UIN Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi who also became students at the Al-Qur'an Taajul Huffazh Kubang Putih Quranic school. The busyness of campus life does not hinder their efforts to study the Qur'an by improving their recitation, learning and memorizing the Qur'an along with its meanings, and participating in various constructive programs offered by the center, one of which is the Qur'anic reflection study program held every Sunday night. Although the Quranic reflection study program has been implemented effectively, there are still some students who do not participate in the program. However, other students continue to attend the program in accordance with the rules and etiquette of seeking knowledge. This Quranic reflection study program is also expected to assist students in improving their Quran memorization. This research is a field study with a descriptive qualitative approach. The key informants for this research are the female religious teacher leading the study and the students of the Taajul Huffazh Qur'anic Center, with supporting informants being the female supervisors or religious teachers residing at the Taajul Huffazh Qur'anic Center. The data collection techniques used in this research are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis methods used in this study are data reduction, display, and verification. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the Tadabbur Al-Qur'an study program at the Taajul Huffazh Quranic Center, using the Maqashid Qur'ani curriculum and interactive methods such as discussions, helps students understand Quranic verses deeply and in a way that is relevant to their lives. This study motivates students intrinsically, such as the desire to become better individuals and draw closer to Allah, as well as extrinsically through parental encouragement and the obligations of the center. The impact is evident in improved worship, character, and memorization, despite internal challenges such as laziness and health issues, as well as external factors like academic tasks and time management. Overall, this program not only strengthens Quran memorization and understanding but also fosters character development, discipline, and improved social relationships.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kualitas pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berpendekatan STEAM berbantuan Moodle dalam meningkatkan literasi numerasi, menganalisis pengaruh self-efficacy terhadap literasi numerasi, dan mendeskripsikan literasi numerasi ditinjau dari self-efficacy siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kombinasi (mixed method) tipe sequential explanatory dengan desain kuasi eksperimen Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 5 Cimahi, yang terbagi menjadi kelas eksperimen (n=40) dengan pembelajaran PBL berpendekatan STEAM berbantuan Moodle dan kelas kontrol (n=40) dengan pembelajaran Discovery Learning. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes literasi numerasi, angket self-efficacy, lembar observasi, dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pembelajaran PBL berpendekatan STEAM berbantuan Moodle berkualitas dengan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi yang baik; (2) self-efficacy berpengaruh positif terhadap literasi numerasi sebesar 69,5%; (3) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan literasi numerasi yang signifikan antara siswa dengan self-efficacy tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran PBL berpendekatan STEAM berbantuan Moodle efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi numerasi siswa ditinjau dari self-efficacy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) melalui media manipulatif, menganalisis peningkatan hasil belajar siswa, dan mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung serta penghambat dalam penerapannya pada materi penjumlahan pecahan dengan penyebut berbeda. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel terdiri dari 30 siswa kelas V sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Salem, Kabupaten Brebes, yang terbagi menjadi 15 siswa kelas eksperimen dan 15 siswa kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes essay 14 soal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen (82,93) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol (66,07). Rata-rata N-Gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,6591 secara signifikan lebih besar dibandingkan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,3409. Hasil uji Independent Sample T-Test menunjukkan nilai t = 14,560 dengan Sig. = 0,000 < 0,05 dan effect size Cohen's d = 5,32 (kategori sangat besar). Kesimpulannya, model CTL melalui media manipulatif efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa pada materi penjumlahan pecahan dengan penyebut berbeda.
