Abstract

This research aims to analyze the readiness of information technology infrastructure to support digital transformation at SDN 13/I Muara Bulian based on three main stages, namely planning, implementation and evaluation. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation studies, then analyzed interactively. The research results show that in the planning aspect, schools have basic plans for the provision of ICT infrastructure, although they are still limited by budget availability. In the implementation aspect, the use of information technology infrastructure has been implemented in learning activities and is supported by teacher readiness, but still faces device and network limitations. Meanwhile, in the evaluation aspect, the assessment of ICT infrastructure is still carried out in a simple and unstructured manner. This research concludes that the readiness of information technology infrastructure at SDN 13/I Muara Bulian is in the quite ready category, but requires strengthening planning, optimizing implementation, and more systematic evaluation so that digital transformation can run sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of a Game-Based Learning model assisted by crossword puzzles (GBL–TTS) in improving students’ learning outcomes in Pancasila Education. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The participants were divided into two groups: an experimental group that received instruction using the GBL–TTS model and a control group that was taught through conventional instructional methods. Data were collected through learning outcome tests and analyzed using prerequisite statistical tests followed by Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA). The results revealed a statistically significant difference in learning outcomes between the experimental and control groups, with a significance value of p < 0.001. These findings indicate that the implementation of GBL–TTS is effective in enhancing students’ learning outcomes in Pancasila Education. The integration of game elements and crossword puzzle media promotes more interactive learning, increases student engagement, and strengthens students’ mastery of basic concepts. Therefore, game-based instructional media grounded in Game-Based Learning principles can serve as a strategic alternative for developing innovative and meaningful Pancasila Education learning practices.

Abstract

The low interest in learning geography among twelfth-grade students at SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang, particularly in the topic of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), is caused by the conventional learning process, which mainly relies on PowerPoint presentations and lectures. Ideally, GIS learning should emphasize practical activities and the application of concepts. However, limited facilities and infrastructure, such as the availability of computers and teachers’ ability to operate GIS applications, have hindered the optimal implementation of practical learning. To address this issue, this study introduces a solution through the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by the Google My Maps application. This web-based application can be accessed via mobile phones, enabling students to experience how GIS works in practice. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically the nonequivalent control group design. The findings indicate that students’ learning interest significantly improved when using the PjBL model assisted by Google My Maps in GIS learning. This is supported by the hypothesis testing results, showing a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.006 < 0.05, which means that H₁ is accepted and H₀ is rejected. Therefore, the PjBL model assisted by Google My Maps is proven to be effective in increasing students’ learning interest compared to the conventional learning model.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are crucial for students in the 21st century. Identifying problems, selecting and evaluating them, organizing them, and finding logical solutions are all examples of critical thinking skills. This quantitative descriptive study focused on the Islamic Religious Education Department of the Faculty of Tarbiyah at the Miftahul Huda Institute in Subang. The researchers found that students who took Islamic Religious Education classes had better critical thinking skills. Data were collected using a questionnaire. Problem-based and project-based learning models are two models that can be used to improve students' critical thinking skills. Four indicators of excellent critical thinking were studied, including students' ability to identify and analyze problems, their ability to behave and think critically, and their ability to find creative and logical solutions to real-life problems. Cognitive skills such as critical, creative, and solution-oriented thinking; social skills such as communication, collaboration, and empathy; emotional skills such as self-control, adaptability, and mental resilience; and practical skills such as time management, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship. This curriculum is designed to focus on student performance and incorporate unique courses for each course, as well as life skills. Active learning can be seen in case discussions, projects, and problem-solving. Coaching, mentoring, and collaboration enhance student organization and the campus environment. PAI graduates who develop life skills aligned with Islamic values such as mas'uliyah (responsibility), amar ma'ruf nahi munkar (commanding good and forbidding evil), and istikamah (steadfastness) will be individuals who possess not only academic and spiritual abilities but also flexibility, contribution, and the ability to address contemporary issues.

Abstract

Islamic education in Indonesia, particularly that which is rooted in Malay culture, cannot be separated from social dynamics, cultural values, and the historical development of Islamic intellectual heritage (turath). However, studies on Islamic education are often conducted through a monodisciplinary lens, resulting in partial and fragmented understandings. This study aims to analyze Islamic education based on Malay culture using an interdisciplinary approach that integrates sociological, anthropological, and historical perspectives. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive analytical approach. Data were collected through literature review of classical Islamic texts (turath), educational documents, and relevant previous studies, and analyzed by linking social structures, cultural practices, and historical processes. The findings indicate that Islamic education rooted in Malay culture is shaped by the interaction between Islamic teachings, local wisdom, and historical contexts. The interdisciplinary approach provides a more holistic understanding of religious moderation, Islamic identity, and the continuity of Islamic educational traditions. This study concludes that integrating sociological, anthropological, and historical approaches is essential for strengthening contextual, moderate, and tradition-based Islamic education.

Abstract

This study is about finding and explaining the misunderstandings that fifth-grade students have about the human circulatory system while learning science at SDIT Alam Nurul Islam Yogyakarta. The research used a qualitative method with a descriptive design. The participants were fifth-grade students chosen using purposive sampling. Information was gathered through open-ended diagnostic tests, semi-structured interviews, and review of documents. The data was analyzed using an interactive model that included reducing data, displaying it, and drawing conclusions. To make sure the data was reliable, the study used multiple sources and methods for verification. The results show that students have some basic knowledge of the circulatory system, but they still have many misunderstandings. These mainly concern where and how the parts of the heart work, the difference between arteries and veins, and the paths of blood in the body and lungs. The overall path of the circulatory system was found to be the most misunderstood concept. Some reasons for these misunderstandings are that the teaching mostly uses lectures, there is not enough use of real or visual teaching tools, and students are not very involved in learning activities. The study suggests that teaching should focus on key scientific concepts, use real or visual tools, and involve students more in their learning to help reduce these misunderstandings.

Abstract

This study examines the role of kemplang production as a key economic activity among the community of Pedamaran Village, Ogan Komering Ilir, South Sumatra, and its influence on local socio-economic conditions. As a traditional food product, kemplang functions not only as a consumable commodity but also as an important source of income for many households. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach through literature review, direct observation, and in-depth interviews with local kemplang producers. Secondary data from village documentation and relevant literature further support the analysis. The findings indicate that kemplang enterprises significantly contribute to household income and strengthen women’s economic independence through their active participation in production activities. In addition, this enterprise fosters social networks within home-based industries, supporting the sustainability of the local economy. The long-standing tradition of kemplang production, passed down through generations, also helps preserve cultural values and reinforce the community’s cultural identity. Despite its considerable potential, producers continue to face challenges related to marketing, product innovation, and access to capital. Therefore, support from the government and private sector is essential to enhance business capacity and develop this local economic potential in a sustainable manner.
