Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in individual counseling for a juvenile inmate at LPKA Kelas I Tangerang who engaged in deviant behavior, and to connect the client’s level of religiosity with adaptive mindset changes. The research method used a qualitative case study with three counseling sessions. The results showed changes in the client’s mindset from negative to more adaptive, with awareness to balance religious, social, and daily behavioral values. CBT proved effective in helping the client identify irrational thoughts, transform them into rational ones, and enhance religiosity as a coping mechanism. Parental emotional support was also found to be a crucial factor in preventing deviant behavior.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to analyze the use of Chromebooks in improving the learning quality of fifth grade students at SDN Cangkuang 02, Bandung Regency, using the POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling) management approach. This research is motivated by the need to apply technology in learning to support 21st century skills, such as digital literacy, collaboration and creativity. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and document analysis. The research results show that the implementation of Chromebooks in learning is carefully planned, including providing devices, teacher training, as well as managing time and technology-based teaching materials. Organizing the program involved collaboration between principals, teachers, students, and IT technicians to ensure effective use of Chromebooks. The implementation of Chromebook-based learning has succeeded in increasing student participation through more interactive and collaborative learning. Control is carried out through regular evaluation of Chromebook use, both from a technical perspective and student learning outcomes. The obstacles faced, such as unstable internet connections and limited student understanding, were overcome through infrastructure improvements and additional training. Overall, the use of Chromebooks with the POAC management approach has been proven to be able to improve the quality of student learning, marked by increased learning motivation, understanding of the material, and students' digital skills.

Abstract

Juvenile inmates at the Juvenile Correctional Institution (Lembaga Pembinaan Khusus Anak/LPKA) constitute a group of adolescents who are in a developmental stage that is highly vulnerable to various psychological problems, particularly anxiety and emotional disturbances. This vulnerability is influenced by limited freedom, separation from family, sudden changes in the social environment, and social stigma associated with being juvenile inmates. These conditions often lead to psychological pressure that results in emotional instability, fear, excessive anxiety, and difficulties in managing negative emotions during the rehabilitation period. Therefore, appropriate and continuous interventions through psychological services that are tailored to the individual needs of juvenile inmates are necessary. One service considered effective in addressing these problems is individual counseling. Individual counseling provides a safe and supportive space for juvenile inmates to express their feelings, disclose personal issues, and reflect on their experiences without fear of negative judgment. Through the individual counseling process, counselors assist juvenile inmates in understanding the sources of their anxiety and emotional problems and in developing more adaptive emotional regulation strategies. This study aims to provide an in-depth description of the implementation of individual counseling as an effort to reduce anxiety levels and address emotional problems among juvenile inmates at LPKA. The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques include counseling interviews, observation, and documentation. The results indicate that individual counseling plays a significant role in enhancing emotional awareness, reducing anxiety, and strengthening self-acceptance among juvenile inmates. This service also helps prepare the psychological condition of juvenile inmates to face the rehabilitation period and their post-release life. Overall, these findings support the strengthening of systematic, continuous, and rehabilitative-oriented individual counseling services within the LPKA environment.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the process and outcomes of individual counseling in supporting the psychological development of adolescents at the Juvenile Correctional Institution (LPKA) Class I Tangerang. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed, involving one adolescent inmate identified as RA who experienced difficulties related to self-understanding, emotional regulation, assertiveness, and future orientation. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations conducted during individual counseling sessions, and documentation in the form of counseling records. Data analysis was carried out using thematic analysis, encompassing data familiarization, initial coding, theme development, and meaning interpretation. Data credibility was ensured through technique triangulation. The findings indicate that individual counseling contributed to meaningful psychological changes in the counselee, reflected in improved self-understanding, greater emotional openness, more adaptive emotional regulation, enhanced assertive behavior, increased resilience, and clearer future orientation. These changes emerged gradually through an empathetic and supportive counseling relationship that facilitated self-reflection and constructive meaning-making of past experiences. The study highlights the relevance and effectiveness of individual counseling as a psychosocial intervention within juvenile correctional settings, particularly in fostering adolescents’ personal development and readiness for post-institutional life. Keywords: individual counseling; juvenile inmate; self-understanding; adolescents; future orientation ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji proses dan dampak pelaksanaan konseling individual dalam mendukung perkembangan psikologis anak binaan di Lembaga Pembinaan Khusus Anak (LPKA) Kelas I Tangerang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus terhadap satu orang anak binaan berinisial RA yang menghadapi permasalahan pemahaman diri, regulasi emosi, sikap asertif, serta ketidakjelasan orientasi masa depan. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi selama sesi konseling individual, dan studi dokumentasi berupa catatan proses konseling. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan analisis tematik melalui tahapan pengenalan data, pengodean, pengelompokan tema, serta penafsiran makna. Keabsahan data dijaga melalui triangulasi teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konseling individual berkontribusi terhadap perubahan psikologis positif pada konseli, yang ditandai dengan meningkatnya kemampuan memahami diri, keterbukaan dalam mengekspresikan emosi, regulasi emosi yang lebih adaptif, berkembangnya sikap asertif, serta meningkatnya resiliensi dan kejelasan orientasi masa depan. Perubahan tersebut berlangsung secara bertahap dan sangat dipengaruhi oleh kualitas hubungan konseling yang empatik dan suportif. Temuan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa konseling individual merupakan layanan yang relevan dan efektif dalam konteks pembinaan anak binaan, khususnya dalam mendukung perkembangan psikososial remaja dan kesiapan menghadapi kehidupan pasca pembinaan. Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the improvement of students’ learning outcomes in science through the use of Assemblr Edu-based learning media for eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Ulaweng, Bone Regency. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach that is practical in nature and was carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four main stages: planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 32 students of class VIII C in the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through learning achievement tests, observations of teacher and student activities, and supporting documentation. The learning achievement tests were administered in the form of pre-tests and post-tests to measure students’ comprehension improvement after the application of Assemblr Edu media based on Augmented Reality (AR). The results revealed that the use of Assemblr Edu media had a significant impact on improving students’ learning outcomes. The average pre-test score was 39.06 with a mastery level of 0%. After the implementation up to Cycle II, the average score increased to 79.84, with a 100% mastery rate, indicating that all students achieved the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM ≥ 70). In addition to cognitive improvement, students also showed enhanced learning engagement, reflected in their active participation in discussions, group collaboration, and effective use of learning media. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of Assemblr Edu-based learning media is effective in improving both learning outcomes and learning activities of eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Ulaweng, Bone Regency, in science subjects.

Abstract

This study aims to understand how extracurricular pencak silat activities can shape the discipline of students at Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah Elementary School. Discipline is an important character trait that needs to be instilled from an early age. Pencak silat, as a traditional martial art, trains not only the physical but also the mental and spiritual, which are believed to influence character formation. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, where data were collected through direct observation of student behavior during pencak silat training, as well as interviews with teachers/coaches and several students. The researcher observed five students as the primary sample to observe changes and development in their discipline. The results showed that extracurricular pencak silat played a very effective role in instilling discipline in students. Aspects of discipline such as punctuality, adherence to instructions, neatness of dress (uniform), and a sense of responsibility were observed to improve in the students. Although there was slight variation in the level of focus and enthusiasm among some students, in general, the disciplinary values ​​taught in pencak silat were well internalized and led to positive changes in their behavior. Thus, it can be concluded that the pencak silat extracurricular is not only a means of physical development, but is also a strong and effective medium for forming the holistic character of student discipline at SDS Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah.

Abstract

Krisis etika birokrasi yang ditandai dengan praktik korupsi, kolusi, dan nepotisme (KKN) mengindikasikan adanya kegagalan filosofis dalam penyelenggaraan administrasi publik di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis urgensi falsafah administrasi publik dalam bernegara melalui dimensi ontologi, epistemologi, dan aksiologi serta implikasinya terhadap reformasi birokrasi berkelanjutan. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif dengan studi pustaka (library research) dan analisis isi (content analysis). Sumber data meliputi literatur filsafat ilmu, teori administrasi publik klasik dan kontemporer, dokumen kebijakan nasional, serta jurnal ilmiah relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dimensi ontologis menegaskan hakikat administrasi publik sebagai manifestasi kedaulatan rakyat dan pelayan kepentingan umum. Dimensi epistemologis memberikan landasan rasional-kritis untuk validasi kebenaran administratif dan perumusan paradigma baru. Dimensi aksiologis berfungsi sebagai kontrol moral yang menjamin keadilan sosial dan mencegah substitusi nilai publik dengan nilai pribadi. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa reformasi birokrasi berkelanjutan memerlukan transformasi filosofis yang mengintegrasikan ketiga dimensi tersebut, khususnya melalui penerapan paradigma New Public Service (NPS) dan penguatan infrastruktur etis aparatur sipil negara.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to design a social and cultural literacy instrument for materials on social and cultural diversity for MTs students. The method of this research is Research and Development (R&D) using a model called ADDIE. This study involved seventh-grade students of MTs Negeri 2 Kota Cirebon as subjects. The validation results from subject matter experts obtained a score of 92,8% and language expert obtained a score of 88%, confirming that this instrumen is “very feasible”. Empiricaly validity shows that 25 of the 30 questions are valid with a very high level of reliability (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0,917). The characteristics of the questions were dominated by a “medium” level of difficulty and “good” discriminating power. The instrument was also proven to be effective in improving students’ socio-cultural literacy, as shown by an increase in the average score from 60.5 to 87 and an n-gain score of 0.7003 in the “high” category. The significant difference between the pretest and posttest results was confirmed by the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The students’ responses fell into the “very effective” category, confirming that the instrument was easy to understand, interesting, and relevant, making it suitable and effective for use by MTs students.

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum has been implemented as a national curriculum reform to support flexible and student-centered learning. At the elementary school level, this curriculum is expected to enhance students’ competencies, including knowledge, skills, and attitudes. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum and analyze its contribution to improving student competencies at SD Negeri Bojongkadu, Cianjur Regency. The study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subjects consisted of the school principal, classroom teachers, and students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and document analysis, and analyzed using an interactive data analysis model. The findings indicate that the Merdeka Curriculum has been implemented through flexible learning planning, student-centered instructional practices, and the application of diagnostic and formative assessments. This implementation contributes to the improvement of students’ competencies in terms of knowledge, skills, and attitudes. The study concludes that the Merdeka Curriculum supports holistic student competency development in elementary schools, although strengthening implementation consistency and continuous school support remain necessary. Abstract

Adolescence is a transitional period toward adulthood that is vulnerable to influence, marked by physical, cognitive, and socio-emotional changes. Parents and families play an important role in shaping the values, norms, and behaviors of adolescents. Healthy families help build self-confidence, emotional management skills, and adaptive behaviors. Conversely, dysfunctional families can trigger emotional instability and increase the risk of deviant behavior. The Tangerang Class I LPKA is a rehabilitation center for adolescents in conflict with the law. They are rehabilitated through training, skills development, and education to prepare them for reintegration into society. However, the length of the rehabilitation period with repetitive activities and minimal exposure to the outside world affects the socio-emotional condition of the children at the LPKA. Family support is essential in maintaining mental health, but access to communication is often limited due to the distance between their homes and Banten. This is where guidance and counseling, especially individual counseling, plays a role as a forum for the children to express their thoughts and feelings. Positive emotional encouragement enables them to find a deeper meaning in life. Through the Religious-Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy approach, it helps reduce irrational thinking patterns that influence how individuals control their emotions and behavior. A spiritual approach is also important in helping foster children find meaning in life, inner peace, and realize the value and morality in their actions and decisions.
