Abstract

This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of teacher reporting to the legal sphere that is developing through TikTok social media and its implications for the shift in teacher authority in the 21st century. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method through digital documentation analysis, media observation, and literature review related to education, law, and Michel Foucault's Surveillance/Panopticon theory. Data in the form of video content, news narratives, and public responses are analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that cases of teacher reporting form a modern oversight mechanism that places teachers in a position of constant scrutiny by the public, the law, and social media. This condition indicates a shift in teacher authority. Teacher disciplinary actions are easily interpreted by the public as violations of the law and will affect the professional image of teachers. This study emphasizes the need for legal protection, educational discipline policies, and the reconstruction of public trust to maintain teacher authority without neglecting children's rights.

Abstract

This research examines the use of slang in the Roblox community as part of digital identity construction and sociolect practices within online communication spaces. The phenomenon emerges through virtual interactions that develop a distinctive linguistic pattern, where non-standard expressions function as indicators of membership, social hierarchy, and cultural affiliation among players. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied using documentation of conversations, non-participatory observation, and screenshots collected from the Discord server “YAHAYUK Community.” Data were analyzed based on meaning, social functions, and usage context, supported by source and methodological triangulation to ensure validity. Findings reveal 25 recurring slang terms, including carry, bacon, robux, push, summit, and AFK, functioning to support communication efficiency, gameplay coordination, status markers, digital economic identity, and group solidarity. These linguistic forms are both pragmatic and symbolic, reinforcing norms, shared knowledge, and interpersonal relations within the gaming community. Thus, slang usage in the Roblox environment forms a digital sociolect that represents group identity, social structure, and a distinctive communication culture in virtual spaces. Language transcends its instrumental role and becomes a medium for identity formation, social bonding, and cultural practice within online game communities.

Abstract

This study aims to 1) describe the reading habits of sixth grade students at SDN 8 Singkawang; 2) describe the scientific literacy skills of sixth grade students at SDN 8 Singkawang; 3) determine the relationship between reading habits and the scientific literacy skills of sixth grade students at SDN 8 Singkawang. The type of research used is quantitative with a correlation design. The population in this study were all sixthgrade students of SDN 8 Singkawang and the sample in this study used Purposive Sampling of 30 students. The data collection techniques for this study were tests and non-tests. The instruments used in this study were test sheets and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used was the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The results of the study show that 1) Based on the results of the calculation of the questionnaire on students' reading habits, the average value is 71.9%, so it can be concluded that the reading habits of grade VI students of SDN 8 Singkawang have high criteria. 2) Based on the results of the calculation of the scientific literacy ability test questions for grade VI students of SDN 8 Singkawang, the average value is 81.5, so it can be concluded that the scientific literacy ability of students has quite high criteria. 3) Hypothesis testing using obtained t count 0.484> 0.374 t table, so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between reading habits and the scientific literacy ability of grade VI students of SDN 8 Singkawang.

Abstract

The presence of homosexual students presents unique challenges in school guidance and counseling services. This study aims to describe the characteristics, causal factors, behavioral impacts, and the role of guidance and counseling teachers in assisting homosexual students at a senior high school in Pontianak City. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study method, the research involved two homosexual students and four additional participants (BK teacher, homeroom teacher, and peers). Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. Findings show that the subjects displayed gender non-conforming behaviors, identity conflicts, and selective social interactions. The causes were mainly psychological and social such as absence of a father figure, childhood trauma, and media influence. The impacts included psychological stress and limited interaction, though academic performance remained stable. BK teachers played a key role through individual counseling and by fostering an inclusive school environment.

Abstract

Learning satisfaction is an important indicator of educational quality because it reflects students’ perceptions of learning experiences, facilities, and educational services provided by schools. This study aims to examine the effect of educational facilities and educational services on students’ learning satisfaction, with learning motivation as a mediating variable, at SMA Negeri 3 Semarang. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consisted of 1,290 students, and a sample of 306 students was selected using proportional random sampling. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire measuring educational facilities, educational services, learning motivation, and learning satisfaction. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to test both direct and indirect relationships among variables. The results show that educational facilities have a significant positive effect on students’ learning motivation. Educational services also have a significant positive effect on learning motivation. Furthermore, learning motivation significantly influences students’ learning satisfaction. Educational facilities and educational services were found to have a direct and significant effect on learning satisfaction. The mediation analysis indicates that learning motivation partially mediates the relationship between educational facilities and learning satisfaction, as well as between educational services and learning satisfaction. These findings suggest that improving school facilities and strengthening the quality of educational services can enhance students’ motivation, which in turn increases learning satisfaction. Therefore, schools are encouraged not only to focus on physical infrastructure and service quality but also to design learning environments and academic services that actively foster students’ motivation

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the principal's management strategies in improving student learning achievement, which include planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising all school programs. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation conducted with the principal and teachers at the school being the object of the study. The results of the study indicate that the principal has implemented management strategies through the preparation of a systematic school work plan, proportional distribution of teacher tasks, implementation of directed teaching and learning activities, and regular supervision of program implementation. The implementation of these strategies has an impact on increasing teacher discipline, creating a conducive work climate, and improving student learning achievement. However, the implementation of management strategies still faces obstacles such as limited facilities and a lack of leadership training for principals.

Abstract

The gourami fish (Osphronemus gouramy) is a type of freshwater fish that is highly sought after by the public because it has the advantage of being easy to breed naturally, can survive in stagnant water, and has high economic value. Gourami fish measuring 2-3 cm have a mortality rate of 50-70%, one of the causes being feed quality. Gourami fish measuring 2-3 cm can consume natural and commercial feed. Commercial feed has many advantages, including complete and balanced nutritional composition and consistent availability throughout the year. One important element of feed management is feed dosage. Overfeeding can pollute the aquatic environment, while underfeeding can cause malnutrition, thereby inhibiting growth. This study used an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments and 5 replicates. The treatments in this study were the provision of commercial feed at different dosages. Treatment A: 2% of the biomass weight of the test animals; Treatment B: 5% of the biomass weight of the test animals; Treatment C: 8% of the biomass weight of the test animals; Treatment D: 11% of the biomass weight of the test animals; and Treatment E: 14% of the biomass weight of the test animals. Test animals used were 2-3 cm long gurami fish with an average weight of 0.2 g/fish, stocking density of 2 fish/L, and the experimental medium used was fresh water with a volume of 3 L/container. The results showed that treatment C gave the best results for the absolute weight growth of 2-3 cm long gurami fish, which was 0.42 g/fish. Water quality data obtained showed that the water temperature ranged from 26.1 to 27.9°C, the acidity level ranged from 7.0 to 7.9, and the dissolved oxygen ranged from 5.29 to 5.67 ppm.

Abstract

Educational development in the era of globalization and digital disruption is characterized by increasing demands for performance, efficiency, and institutional competitiveness. In practice, however, an excessive focus on technical and administrative aspects often shifts attention away from essential human dimensions, ethical considerations, and the psychological well-being of educational communities. This condition highlights the need for a leadership approach that is not solely outcome-oriented but also capable of addressing educational complexity through reflective and value-based practices. This study aims to examine and formulate a conceptual framework of mindfulness-based leadership within Buddhist educational management by integrating contemporary leadership theories with Buddhist principles of awareness. The study employs a literature review method by analyzing relevant scholarly publications. The findings indicate that mindfulness-based leadership contributes to the enhancement of self-awareness, ethical sensitivity, emotional intelligence, and the quality of leaders’ decision-making processes, while also fostering inclusive and adaptive organizational cultures. These findings suggest that integrating Buddhist awareness into educational leadership practices can serve as both a conceptual and practical foundation for the development of ethical, reflective, and holistic leadership in Buddhist educational institutions

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the differences in mathematical literacy skills based onthe PISA model among junior high school students in the Space and Shape contentarea in terms of gender. The research employed a quantitative comparativeapproach with an ex-post facto design. The subjects consisted of 29 eighth-gradestudents from SMP Negeri 1 Bilah Barat, comprising 16 male and 13 femalestudents. The research instrument was a set of five mathematical literacy test itemsbased on the PISA model focusing on Space and Shape. Data analysis began witha normality test using Shapiro-Wilk and a homogeneity of variance test usingLevene’s Test. The results showed that the data for female students were notnormally distributed (Sig. = 0.002), while the data for male students were normallydistributed (Sig. = 0.054), and both groups had homogeneous variances (Sig. =0.710). Therefore, the non-parametric Mann-Whitney U test was used to test thehypothesis. The result showed a significance value of 0.180 (p > 0.05), indicatingthat there is no significant difference in mathematical literacy skills between maleand female students in the Space and Shape content based on the PISA model.These findings suggest that gender is not a significant factor in differentiatingstudents' mathematical literacy abilities in this context.

Abstract

The application of physics concepts in agricultural technology such as in drip irrigation systems shows how important it is to understand the principles of physics in developing agricultural technology. This study aims to analyze the physics concepts of drip irrigation technology in agricultural land. The method used is qualitative description. Data collection in this study utilized direct observation. The research was conducted at the Argo Axpo practice field at the Flores National Institute. Data analysis used qualitative analysis. Research results show that the drip irrigation system applies the principles of physics. Drip irrigation is a method of directly delivering water to plants, either to the root zone or to the soil surface, through continuous, slow drips. Irrigation application is adjusted to the type and water needs of each plant. The application of drip irrigation technology systems involves various fluid physics concepts such as Bernoulli's law, hydrostatic pressure, Pascal's law, capillarity, and gravity. The conclusion of this study is that the application of drip irrigation systems involves various physics concepts such as Bernoulli's law, hydrostatic pressure, Pascal's law, capillarity, and gravity. These principles help regulate water flow to meet plant needs and reduce waste. Drip irrigation is suitable for use in water-limited areas and can support optimal plant growth.
