Abstract

This research is motivated by the dominant use of the murabahah contract in contemporary Islamic economic practices, which is often understood in a technical-formal manner, thus potentially obscuring the value dimensions and ethical learning contained therein. This study aims to analyze the value dimensions and ethical learning in the murabahah concept based on the verses of the Qur'an on trade and usury and their interpretation in Buya Hamka's Tafsir al-Azhar. The research method used is qualitative with a library research design and a normative-interpretative approach, with data sources consisting of the Qur'an, Tafsir al-Azhar, and scientific literature related to Islamic economics and the ethics of muamalah. The results of the discussion indicate that murabahah obtains Qur'anic legitimacy because it is based on a fair, transparent, and exchange-based buying and selling mechanism based on real benefits, which is fundamentally different from usury which is exploitative. The research findings confirm that according to Buya Hamka, murabahah is not only an economic contract, but also a medium for internalizing Islamic educational values ​​that instill honesty, justice, trustworthiness, and social responsibility, and will lose its ethical meaning if carried out formally. The implications of this research indicate that strengthening murabahah practices requires integration between legal compliance and value awareness, so that murabahah can function as an educational instrument for Islamic economic ethics that is in line with the objectives of sharia (maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah) and contemporary social needs.

Abstract

This study aims to improve learning outcomes in Pancasila Education through the application of the Cooperative Script learning model to fourth-grade students at SDN Sampurna 1. This study is a classroom action research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. There were 15 students participating in this study. Research data were collected through observation of teacher activities, observation of student activities, and learning outcome tests. Data analysis was conducted using quantitative and qualitative descriptive methods. The results showed that the application of the Cooperative Script model was able to improve teacher activities from the category of fairly good to very good, as well as improve student activities from the category of fairly active to very active. This increase in learning activity had an impact on student learning outcomes, as shown by an increase in learning completeness from 40% at the beginning to 86.67% in cycle II. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Cooperative Script learning model is effective in improving the Pancasila Education learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN Sampurna 1.

Abstract

This study examines branding management at At-Taubah Integrated Islamic Elementary School in Batam through the 7P Marketing Mix framework, including Product, Price, Place, Promotion, People, Process, and Physical Evidence. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, involving the school principal, educators, students, and parents. The findings reveal that school branding is a strategic and integrated process supported by flagship programs, credible leadership, high-quality educational services, and the internalization of Islamic values. Flagship programs such as Qur’an memorization (Tahfiz Al-Qur’an), Islamic character education, digital learning, and bilingual instruction serve as key differentiators in strengthening institutional identity. This branding management significantly contributes to enhancing reputation, competitiveness, and public trust.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of capital structure, operational efficiency, liquidity ratio, and firm size on the profitability of national private banks in Indonesia, with Good Corporate Governance (GCG) as a moderating variable. This research employs a quantitative approach using secondary data derived from annual financial statements and GCG implementation reports of national private banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2018-2023 period. The research sample consists of 11 national private banks with a total of 66 observations. Profitability is measured using Return on Assets (ROA), capital structure is measured by the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), operational efficiency by the Operating Expense to Operating Income ratio (BOPO), liquidity ratio by the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), and firm size by the natural logarithm of total assets. Data analysis was conducted using panel data regression with moderation testing. The results indicate that capital structure and operational efficiency have a significant effect on bank profitability, while the liquidity ratio and firm size do not have a significant effect. Furthermore, Good Corporate Governance is unable to moderate the effect of capital structure and operational efficiency on profitability, but is able to moderate the effect of the liquidity ratio and firm size on bank profitability. These findings suggest that the role of GCG in enhancing bank profitability is contextual and depends on the characteristics of the moderated variables.

Abstract

This research explores the aesthetic values and education values of the “Sekapor Sireh” dance as practiced at Sanggar Bougenville in West Kalimantan. As a traditional welcoming dance of the Malay community in Pontianak, the “Sekapor Sireh” dance represents symbols and meanings that reflect the cultural character of the people of West Kalimantan. More than just an aesthetic expression, the dance also carries educational values that develop both in its performance and throughout the learning process. These values play an essential role in shaping the character of the younger generation. This study applied a qualitative method with a case study design., data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving studio administrators, dance instructors, senior and junior dancers, as well as cultural figures. The findings reveal that the aesthetic dimensions of the “Sekapor Sireh” dance can be examined through this approach, content, and performance, all of which are harmoniously combined into a single artistic expression. The educational values represented in the dance such as gentleness, politeness, respect, and tolerance reflect the character of the local community and are further strengthened through the training process, which nurtures discipline, cooperation, and cultural appreciation among young learners. Overall, the “Sekapor Sireh” dance serves not only as a ceremonial art for welcoming guests but also as a significant medium for cultural transmission and character education. It contributes to preserving cultural heritage while supporting the moral and personal development of the younger generation.

Abstract

This study looks into how different teaching methods are used in mixed-ability elementary school classrooms and how these methods affect how motivated students feel and how well they learn. Different teaching methods are seen as a great way to help students with different skills, especially in classrooms where students come from various backgrounds and have different needs. The research involved a Systematic Literature Review, using information from Google Scholar and Scopus, and focusing on articles published from 2017 to 2023. The findings show that using these different teaching methods can boost student motivation since it gives them learning experiences that fit their personal skills better. This personalized learning also leads to better learning results in mixed-ability classrooms. Still, there are some problems with using these methods, like not having enough time, resources, and teachers being ready to use this approach properly. This study highlights how important it is for teachers to get training and support from schools to make the use of different teaching methods in mixed-ability classrooms work better. This research is meant to help create more inclusive learning that meets the needs of students in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the contextual learning approach on the critical thinking skills of third-grade elementary school students on the topic of length and weight. The research employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental design, specifically the One-Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The research subjects consisted of all third-grade students of SDN 124/1 Batin, totaling 26 students. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling. Data were collected through pretest and posttest instruments designed to measure students’ critical thinking skills. The obtained data were analyzed using statistical tests with the assistance of SPSS version 21. Prior to hypothesis testing, prerequisite analyses in the form of normality and homogeneity tests were conducted. The results of the normality test indicated that the data were not normally distributed; therefore, hypothesis testing was carried out using the nonparametric Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Descriptive analysis results showed an increase in the average score of students’ critical thinking skills from 43.04 in the pretest to 63.73 in the posttest. The results of the Wilcoxon test revealed a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a significant difference in students’ critical thinking skills before and after the implementation of the contextual learning approach. Thus, it can be concluded that the contextual learning approach has a significant effect on improving the critical thinking skills of third-grade elementary school students on the topic of length and weight

Abstract

This study aims to develop and validate a reward dice game learning media based on an inquiry learning model to improve problem-solving skills in children aged 5–6 years. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The resulting product is a reward dice game media equipped with a challenge book, game rules, and rewards as positive reinforcement, which are designed according to the characteristics of early childhood development and inquiry syntax. This research was conducted at Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 1 Banjarjo Kindergarten, Bancar, Tuban with group B children aged 5–6 years as subjects. The validation results showed that the reward dice game media was in the very valid category, with a feasibility percentage of 100% from material experts and 97,5% from media experts. Data analysis used a descriptive quantitative approach, while the reliability test of the observation instrument showed a value (α = 0,900). The results of limited trials showed that the use of reward dice games was able to increase children's active involvement, focus, and courage in solving problems. Thus, inquiry-based reward dice game media is considered suitable for use as an alternative effective and meaningful learning media for early childhood.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the utilization of basic education regulations as a primary foundation for enhancing teacher professionalism in elementary schools. Teachers hold a strategic role as change agents who determine the success of the learning process and the quality of human resources nationally. However, challenges such as limited 21st-century skills and differing perceptions of policies often hinder the optimization of teacher performance. The method used is a literature review, analyzing secondary data from reputable scientific articles. Analysis results show that education regulations provide a strong legal basis for governing teacher qualifications, certification, and competence. Strengthening professionalism can be achieved by synchronizing regulations with structured academic supervision programs and continuous development within learning communities. The study concludes that the effectiveness of regulations depends heavily on consistent supervision and adequate resource support. Proper policy implementation is proven to contribute significantly to improving the standards of pedagogical, personal, social, and professional competencies of elementary school teachers.

Abstract

Code mixing and code switching are increasingly prevalent phenomena in audiovisual media, particularly in short films that depict the communication patterns of young people in bilingual environments. This study aims to analyze the forms, types, and functions of code mixing and code switching found in the dialogue of the short film Centang Biru. The research problem focuses on how language mixing and switching are employed in the film’s dialogue, as well as the contextual and functional aspects underlying their use. This study adopts a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation and note-taking by repeatedly examining the film’s dialogue. The analysis process involves transcribing the dialogue, classifying instances of code mixing and code switching, and interpreting their functions based on the context of utterance. The findings reveal 13 instances of language alternation, consisting of 6 cases of external code switching and 8 instances of code mixing in the form of words, phrases, clauses, and repetition. Code mixing most frequently appears at the word and phrase levels, while code switching occurs through complete shifts between Indonesian and English. The results indicate that code mixing serves to enhance expression and social intimacy, whereas code switching functions to emphasize meaning and convey deeper emotional expression. This study is expected to contribute to sociolinguistic research, particularly in understanding language use in contemporary short film media
