Abstract

The emergency of Coronavirus disease in Indonesia makes the teaching and learning process should be held in an online learning setting. The existence of distance during the learning reduces the performance of students, especially the new enrolled students in grade 1 Saint John Christian elementary school. Therefore, this research aims to examine the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach with interactive PowerPoint (iPP) media in improving students’ learning outcome and motivation during the online learning period. Classroom Action Research (CAR) is applied in order to analyze the effect of RME with iPP towards students’ performance in learning mathematics within two cycles. The participant is class 1-D Saint John Christian elementary school which consists of 22 students. Data were collected through assessment towards students’ learning outcome, and motivation matrix modeled by Keller to measure the learning motivation. Data in this research is analyzed using descriptive analysis. The final cycle showed that 91% of students successfully passed the passing grade and reached 360 points for the learning motivation. Meanwhile, the percentage target of students who would pass the test is only 80% and the target points of learning motivation is 320 points only. In conclusion, RME with iPP is able to improve student learning outcome, motivation as well as build interaction. The usage of RME with iPP in an online learning setting is recommended to increase students’ academic performances.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Inside Outside Circle (IOC) model on the improvement of integrated thematic learning outcomes for class IV SDN Gugus V, Sutera District. This research is a quantitative research with the type of research is a quasi experimental design. This research was conducted at SDN Cluster V Sutera District. The sample data was collected using random sampling technique. The instrument used in collecting data is in the form of an objective test in the form of multiple choice. The data analysis technique used is the t-test. The results showed that there was a significant effect of the Inside Outside Circle (IOC) model on student learning outcomes in theme 8. This was evidenced by the results of the t-test at the real level ɑ = 0.05, and dk = 43 obtained tcount (2.48)> t (2,018). The conclusion is that the Inside Outside Circle (IOC) model has a significant effect on increasing integrated thematic learning outcomes for class IV SDN 14 Sungai Sirah, Sutera District, Pesisir Selatan Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the learning process through programmed consultation and online learning at SD Negeri Purworejo. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The subjects of this study were principals, teachers, and students at SD Negeri Purworejo. Collecting data using interview, observation, and documentation methods. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing or verification. The results of the study show that the programmatic consultation process is carried out not every day, sometimes 2 or 3 times a week adjusting the level of the Covid-19 level with a limited duration of time. The rest of the learning is carried out online using zoom cloud meeting, whatsapp, googleclassroom, googlemeet.

Abstract

The aim of the researchers in this study was to improve students' intensive reading skills at SD Negeri Tambakromo 1 Geneng in Indonesian subjects. This study uses a quantitative method (experimental) with a one group pretest-posttest design. This study uses interviews and tests. The result of the interview is that the students' reading ability is good but there are 8 students who have low reading ability. The method used by the teacher is a lecture in every lesson. The learning outcomes of students who reached the KKM were only 15 students in intensive reading learning. From the research results tcount> t table = 8.419> 1756 SQ3R method has a significant effect on intensive reading ability in 4th grade students of SDN Tambakromo 1. Because if t Count > tTable then it means, H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Likewise with the results of the significance of Sig.(2-tailed) is 0.015, the result is less than 0.05 then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. SQ3R method has a significant effect on intensive reading ability in grade 4 students at SDN Tambakromo 1.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a product in the form of ethno-STEM-oriented elementary thematic teaching materials for class IV that are valid and practical. This study uses a modified 4D model development research method, namely define, design, and development. The data collection instrument used was a questionnaire or questionnaire given to material expert validators and teaching materials expert validators to see the validity of the product, and student response questionnaires to see the practicality of the product. The research was conducted at SD YPPK Santo Johanes Don Bosco Onggari with a trial run of 12 students.The results of this study are products in the form of thematic teaching materials for ethno-STEM-oriented elementary school grades with the results of a feasibility assessment from material experts after validating a score of 82% with very valid criteria and from teaching materials experts a score of 85% with very valid criteria. The results of the practicality assessment by students in product trials with 12 students as subjects obtained a score of 97,5% with very practical criteria, the resulting teaching material products have met the very valid and practical criteria, then this teaching material product is feasible to use for learning.

Abstract

The achievement of educational goals depends on the learning process in schools. When in teaching and learning activities, educators still use the lecture style related to the material in the book (teacher centered), students tend to be less active and participate less in the teaching and learning process. The lack of formation of a pleasant teaching and learning process results in students not having good concentration and focus. So that resulted in less than optimal ability of students in understanding the subject matter. This research aims to explain the effect of ice breaking on student learning outcomes. This type of research is quantitative with an experimental nature. This research design uses a one-group pre-test-post-test design, and uses 21 students as samples drawn by a saturated sampling technique from the entire population. The instrument used is in the form of a test with the aim of obtaining data on student learning outcomes. The results of the research show that the mean score of students in the pre-test is 65, while the mean value of the post-test is 76. This shows that there is an increase in student learning outcomes after being given treatment by 11. To test the impact of applying ice breaking, data analysis was carried out by t test (paired sample t test) obtained a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 0.05, then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. Thus, there is an effect of ice breaking on student learning outcomes in class II thematic learning at SD Negeri Pusakajaya Utara I-Cilebar District-Karawang Regency in the even semester of the 2021/2022 school year.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the demonstration method on the material of changing the shape of objects on the learning outcomes of grade 3 students at SDN Tambakromo 1. The research method used in this study was a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental research design. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling, the samples in this study were students of class 3A as the control class and class 3B as the experimental class with the number of students in each class as many as 22 students. Data collection techniques in this study using tests. The results of this study indicate that the demonstration learning method has an influence on the learning outcomes of third grade students at SDN Tambakromo 1. This can be proven by the results of the independent sample T-Test using SPSS 25, namely the results of sig. tcount 0.018 < ttable 0.05.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) the principal's strategy in managing SDN Kedunggalar 4 and SDN Bangunrejo Kidul 4, Kedunggalar District, 2) the obstacles faced by the principal in managing SDN Kedunggalar 4 and SDN Bangunrejo Kidul 4 Kedunggalar District, 3) solutions to the obstacles faced the principal in managing SDN Kedunggalar 4 and SDN Bangunrejo Kidul 4, Kedunggalar District. This research method uses a qualitative approach with direct interview data collection techniques with related sources, namely school principals, teachers, and guardians of students at the two institutions. The results of the research on the principal's strategy in managing SDN Kedunggalar 4 and SDN Bangunrejo Kidul 4, First: 1) Planning preparation is carried out at the beginning of the new school year, 2) Management of learning programs is carried out by providing guidance to teachers, 3) Acceptance of students in collaboration with institutions PAUD and TK, 4) Procurement of facilities and infrastructure, 5) Division of school personal tasks according to ability, 6) Financial management is adjusted to technical guidelines (BOS), 7) Provide flexibility for the community to use school facilities, 8) Administrative management is carried out by school staff, 9) Information management by creating groups via whatsapp, 10) Maintaining good relations with school personnel, 11) School evaluation is carried out once a month, 12) Making a schedule for supervision. Second: the obstacles faced by the principal, namely 1) aspects of student acceptance, 2) aspects of time, 3) aspects of facilities and infrastructure, 4) financial aspects. Abstract

Character education is being intensively carried out by the government. The government launched various programs to support the optimization of character education in schools, including PPK or Strengthening Character Education. This study intends to describe the teacher's role in inculcating the character of fairness in the students of SD Inpres Mopah Baru, Merauke. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were 4 certified teachers. data collection using interview and documentation techniques. Data analysis was conducted to determine the teacher's role in inculcating the character of fairness by conducting member checks and triangulation of sources. The results showed that in the implementation of fairness character planting, there were still students who deviated from the fairness character, including there were students who cheated, there were students who were impatient when waiting in line, there were students who did not want to follow the rules. Teachers try to deal with character deviations that occur by actively providing assistance and approaches to students. The teacher provides assistance to students who have the potential to deviate such as accompanying students when playing and giving special attention to students who have deviated character. Apart from that, teachers also take approaches such as giving advice at the best times for students. This is in line with the teacher's role, which is not only as a teacher but also as an educator who instills moral values ​​and is responsible for the formation of children's character. The teacher's role in inculcating the character of fairness is good.

Abstract

The Teaching Campus Program is part of the Merdeka Campus program of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, in its implementation, it aims to make students later have the ability to master a variety of sciences, namely to develop insight and gain experience outside the classroom through teaching and learning activities at school. Activities carried out by DPL and students aim to; 1. Helping learning during a pandemic; 2. Helping teachers to teach; 3. Assist in strengthening literacy and numeracy learning; 4. Helping learning using technology adaptation and its application for schools, teachers and students; 5. Assist in the preparation of a better administrative system. The research subject is SDIT Ashabul Kahfi, Deliserdang Regency. The object of research is the residents of SDIT Ashabul Kahfi in the implementation of learning. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method, namely; 1. Explain how the picture of what happened to the school during the implementation of campus teaching, and 2. Explain a series of problems that occur in the implementation of the learning process. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of the final analysis of the program obtained; 1. Provide changes in the teaching and learning process, 2. Provide feedback to students, from not knowing how to read and count to knowing and increase enthusiasm for learning, 3. Installing and using infocus in the classroom is used to support student learning activities, teacher meetings , and training, 4. Evaluating and tidying up the administration of teacher and school assessments is very helpful for schools at SDIT Ashabul Kahfi.
