Abstract

Geometric thinking ability is an essential competence in mathematics learning, particularly in solid geometry at the junior high school level. However, geometry learning that remains abstract often causes students to have difficulty in understanding concepts and developing spatial visualization skills. Therefore, a more contextual and meaningful approach is needed, one of which is ethnomathematics that integrates cultural elements into mathematics learning. This study aims to analyze the implementation of ethnomathematics in teaching solid geometry and its contribution to students’ geometric thinking ability. The study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) framework. The analyzed articles were published between 2022 and 2026 and were obtained from Google Scholar, SINTA, Scopus, ERIC, DOAJ, and Garuda. Based on the selection process, 18 articles met the inclusion criteria. The results indicate that most studies report that the implementation of ethnomathematics in solid geometry learning provides more contextual learning experiences, which potentially improve students’ geometric thinking ability.

Abstract

Geriatric patients undergoing hemiarthroplasty under spinal anesthesia are at high risk of hemodynamic instability. The aging process and the sympathetic blockade effect of spinal anesthesia often trigger complications such as hypotension and bradycardia. This study aims to provide an overview of intra-anesthetic hemodynamic changes in this population. Methods: This descriptive observational study with a case study approach was conducted in five geriatric patients in the Operating Room of Hospital X in January 2026. All patients underwent hemiarthroplasty with spinal anesthesia using 12.5 mg of hyperbaric 0.5% bupivacaine and an opioid adjuvant. Results: All five cases showed a pattern of significant blood pressure decrease (hypotension) in the first 5–10 minutes after spinal anesthesia induction. In addition, recurrent episodes of hypotension were observed during bone cement placement, which indicated Bone Cement Implantation Syndrome (BCIS). Hemodynamic management was carried out with intravenous fluid administration, oxygenation, and the use of vasopressors such as phenylephrine (50–100 mcg) or ephedrine (10 mg). Conclusion: Anesthetic management in geriatric patients requires close hemodynamic monitoring and appropriate pharmacological interventions to address hypotension due to spinal effects and surgical procedures in order to maintain the patient's condition stability until the operation is completed.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the role of Islamic educational leadership in strengthening students’ disciplined approach to worship amid the challenges and opportunities of the digital age, characterized by the widespread use of mobile devices and social media. The approach used is qualitative, employing a literature review method to analyze various sources on Islamic religious education, character education, digital literacy, and Islamic educational leadership. The findings indicate that visionary Islamic educational leadership grounded in Qur’anic–Prophetic values plays a strategic role through the formulation of vision and policies, the cultivation of a spiritual atmosphere, exemplary conduct, the fostering of communal worship, and the oversight of the wise use of technology. The strengthening of the character of worship discipline is carried out through the stages of transformation, transaction, and internalization of values, so that worship does not merely become a formal routine but is ingrained as a habit and part of the students’ personality. This study emphasizes the need for a model of Islamic educational leadership that is adaptive to technology while simultaneously capable of maintaining and reinforcing the younger generation’s commitment to worship in the digital age. Abstract

In this modern era of education, teachers must be able to create a safe, comfortable, and conducive learning environment to achieve maximum learning outcomes. Therefore, teachers must be innovative and creative in teaching and learning activities, using learning media that are engaging, interactive, enjoyable, effective, and meaningful for students. The learning media used is a wordwall, which provides various types of educational games, including quizzes, crosswords, open the box, and so on. The goal is to analyze the relationship between wordwall application use and student learning outcomes. The methods used are observation and literature review, analyzing relevant research from journals, articles, and other sources. The results of the study indicate that wordwalls can increase learning motivation and student engagement in the learning process. The conclusion of this study states that wordwalls are a learning medium that can help elementary school teachers and students achieve better learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terstruktur berbantuan aplikasi PictureThis pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pre-Experimental Design dengan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri 68 Surabaya dengan subjek dari kelas VII-C terdiri dari 26 orang tahun ajaran 2025/2026. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes. Data peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, uji wilcoxon, dan analisis N-Gain. Hasil uji wilcoxon menunjukkan nilai signifikasi 0,000 (<0,05) yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai pretest dan posttest setelah mengikuti pembelajaran inkuiri terstruktur. Sedangkan rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,71 dengan kriteria tinggi. . Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran inkuiri terstruktur berbantuan aplikasi PictureThis efektif diterapkan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup dan mendapat respons yang sangat positif dari siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of students’ emotional intelligence, the Profile of Pancasila Students in the dimensions of Global Diversity and Mutual Cooperation, and the relationship between emotional intelligence and these two dimensions among fifth-grade students of elementary schools in Cluster II, Kahu District, Bone Regency. This research employed a quantitative method with an ex post facto design. The population consisted of 146 students, with a sample of 107 students determined using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through questionnaires measuring emotional intelligence, the Global Diversity dimension, and the Mutual Cooperation dimension. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistics, including tests of normality, homogeneity, linearity, and t-test, with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics Version 25. The results showed that students’ emotional intelligence was in the good category, while the Global Diversity and Mutual Cooperation dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile were in the moderate category. Furthermore, there were significant relationships between emotional intelligence and both dimensions. In conclusion, emotional intelligence plays an important role in shaping students’ character in accordance with the Pancasila Student Profile, particularly in appreciating diversity and collaborating with others. Therefore, strengthening emotional intelligence and integrating the values of the Pancasila Student Profile into the curriculum, school programs, and family support are highly recommended.

Abstract

Indonesia is currently experiencing a crisis in reading interest at the elementary school level, which poses a significant challenge for educators in improving national literacy. This study focuses on examining the impact of using illustrated story media on the reading motivation of fourth-grade students at SDN Pasanggrahan 1. The research employs a quantitative associative method, with data collected through 30 questionnaires consisting of 30 statements. The data were processed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS software. The results confirm a positive and significant influence of illustrated story media on students' interest in reading (P-Values < 0.05). Based on these findings, the utilization of visual media is highly recommended as a strategic approach to strengthen student participation in literacy activities

Abstract

This study aims to describe the character education values contained in the novel Rembulan Tenggelam di Wajahmu by Tere Liye, published by Republika in 2009, and to explore its potential use as teaching material for senior high school (SMA) students. The research employs a qualitative method, with data collected through document analysis (recording) of the novel Rembulan Tenggelam di Wajahmu by Tere Liye. The researcher recorded data obtained from documentation as the primary data source for the study, and validated the teaching material using the researcher as the research instrument. This means the researcher conducted repeated readings and analyses of the data source. The data analysis techniques used in this study are as follows: a) analyzing the character education values present in the novel Rembulan Tenggelam di Wajahmu by Tere Liye, b) identifying and recording words and sentences that contain character education values in the novel, and c) noting, collecting data related to the research, and drawing conclusions from the study.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on ecosystem material in class X of SMA PAB 4 Sampali, as well as to examine students’ responses and the obstacles encountered. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the implementation of PBL followed its learning syntax and was able to increase students’ activeness, participation, and critical thinking skills. Learning became more contextual and meaningful as it was based on real-life problems. The obstacles encountered were related to students’ understanding of tasks and their ability to construct answers, but these could be addressed through teacher guidance. Therefore, the PBL model is effective in improving the quality of learning on ecosystem material.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of curiosity and learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at Plebengan Public Elementary School based on classroom observations and interviews with fifth-grade homeroom teachers. The data shows that the average curiosity of students is still in the low category, and learning outcomes in GCF and LCM material have not met the Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP) set by the school, which is 75.00. This study aims to increase the curiosity and learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at Plebengan State Elementary School through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in the material on KPK and FPB. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research subjects are fifth-grade students at Plebengan State Elementary School in the 2025/2026 academic year. The data collection techniques used in this research are interviews, observations, questionnaires, and tests. The data analysis techniques used in this research are qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The results of the study indicate that the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model can increase curiosity and learning outcomes through the following steps: 1) problem-oriented, 2) organizing students to learn, 3) investigating problems together in groups, 4) developing results and solving problems, 5) evaluating the problem-solving process. The average curiosity score of students increased from 53.47 (Low) at the beginning to 64.44 (Moderate) at the end of cycle I, and increased further to 85.35 (Very High) in cycle II. The average learning outcome score also increased from 59.82 at the beginning to 71.67 at the end of cycle I, and reached 82.22 at the end of cycle II. The application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model proved to be effective, as seen from the N-gain score in the “High” category for curiosity with a result of 0.8527 or 85.27% in the “Effective” category. Then, the N-gain score for learning outcomes was in the “Moderate” category with a score of 0.5639 or 56.38% in the “Quite Effective” category.
