Abstract

Students' perception of mathematics is a difficult lesson that is still often encountered, especially in multiplication materials. This condition can be even more complex if learning is not supported by interesting and innovative media. The purpose of this study is to develop an interactive learning media based  on articulate storylines loaded with multiplication arithmetic and analyze its effectiveness in improving students' numeracy skills. The methodological research employed in this study is anchored in Research and Development (R&D), utilizing the ADDIE model, which encompasses five distinct phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The instruments used are observation sheets for the implementation of learning and tests. The results of the small group test and the large group test showed that the students' learning completeness reached 100% and the implementation of learning went well. Therefore, it can be concluded that the interactive learning media developed was declared effective in encouraging the improvement of the numeracy skills of grade IV students of SDN Pejagan 1 Bangkalan.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in Pancasila Education due to the suboptimal use of models and media. This study aims to describe the improvement in student learning outcomes using the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) Cooperative Model assisted by Puzzle Media in Grade V of SDN 15 Ulu Gadut. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a qualitative and quantitative approach. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were teachers and students in Grade V of SDN 15 Ulu Gadut, Padang City, consisting of 26 students, comprising 12 male students and 14 female students. The results of the study showed an increase in several aspects, namely: a) lesson plans from 87.49% (Good) in cycle I to 94.44% (Very Good) in cycle II, b) teacher activity from 85.71% (Good) in cycle I to 92.85% (Very Good) in cycle II, c) student activity from 85.71% (Good) in cycle I to 92.85% (Very Good) in cycle II, and d) learning outcomes increased from 81.17% (Good) in cycle I to 91.18% (Very Good) in cycle II. Therefore, the use of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative model assisted by puzzle media has been proven to improve learning outcomes in Pancasila Education.

Abstract

Self-regulation is an individual’s ability to manage their thoughts, emotions, and behavior in a purposeful manner to achieve positive goals. This ability is crucial for adolescents in coping with social pressures and avoiding risky behaviors such as smoking. This study aims to analyze the need for educational media to enhance self-regulation as a preventive measure against smoking behavior among junior high school students. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, limited to the needs analysis phase. The study subjects included 112 eighth-grade students and guidance and counseling teachers at a junior high school in Surabaya. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews. The results indicated that students demonstrated a reasonably good level of self-regulation regarding the dangers of smoking; however, they still require more engaging and interactive educational media. Therefore, the development of technology-based media such as Augmented Reality and game-based learning has the potential to support guidance and counseling services in enhancing students’ self-regulation as a preventive measure against smoking behavior.

Abstract

This study explores teachers’ experiences in integrating the deep learning approach at MI Tarbiyatul Islamiyah Gembong Pati. The transformation of educational paradigms in the 21st century requires a shift from surface learning to meaningful and reflective learning practices. However, the implementation of deep learning in Islamic elementary schools remains contextually dynamic and dependent on teachers’ professional experiences. This research aims to describe teachers’ understanding of deep learning, the strategies employed in classroom practices, the perceived impact on students’ learning processes, and the challenges encountered during implementation. The study employed a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design to capture teachers’ lived experiences. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that teachers perceive deep learning as a student-centered approach that emphasizes conceptual understanding, contextual relevance, and reflective thinking. Teachers applied strategies such as contextual discussions, reflective questioning, and problem-based activities to enhance students’ engagement and critical thinking skills. The implementation resulted in increased student participation and deeper conceptual comprehension. However, challenges such as limited instructional time, diverse student abilities, and infrastructural constraints were identified. The study concludes that integrating deep learning in Islamic elementary education requires pedagogical readiness, institutional support, and sustained professional development to ensure meaningful and transformative learning experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between parenting styles and the independence of Class B children at TKN 1 Plus Banyuasin III. The study employed a quantitative method with an ex post facto design and total sampling technique involving 73 respondents. Data were collected through a closed questionnaire using a four-point Likert scale. Validity test results showed that all items were valid (r count > 0.227) and reliable (Cronbach's Alpha > 0.60). The normality test yielded Asymp. Sig. 0.200 > 0.05 and the linearity test yielded Sig. 0.517 > 0.05. The regression equation obtained was Ŷ = 83.546 − 0.229X with t count = −2.105 and Sig. 0.039 < 0.05, so Hₐ is accepted — parenting style has a significant effect on children's independence. The R² value of 0.059 indicates that parenting style contributes 5.9%, while 94.1% is influenced by other factors outside the model.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low critical reasoning and independence character of fifth grade elementary school students based on the results of interviews with class teachers and the results of the initial character questionnaire analysis followed by 29 fifth grade elementary school students. The purpose of this research is to develop a Project-based Pancasila Education Learning Module that is feasible and high-quality to improve students' critical reasoning and independence character. The research method used is R&D with the ADDIE development model. The research subjects consisted of 1 fifth grade elementary school teacher and 29 fifth grade elementary school students. There are research objects, namely the PjBL based Pancasila Education open module, critical reasoning character, and independence character. Data collection techniques used interview guides, character questionnaire sheets, and product validation sheets. Data analysis techniques were carried out qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of the study indicate that the R&D research method with the ADDIE model has been developed based on validation by two lecturers and two fifth grade elementary school teachers. The quality of the open module product validation was obtained with an average score of 3.60 (very good category). The implementation of the learning module has an impact on improving students' critical reasoning character from the initial questionnaire with an initial score of 1.92 (low category) to 3.71 (high category), with an increase of 1.79. Meanwhile, the independent character score increased from 1.99 (low category) to 3.60 (high category), with an increase of 1.61. This study shows that the PjBL based Pancasila Education learning module can improve the critical reasoning character and independence of fifth-grade elementary school students. Therefore, this PjBL based Pancasila Education learning module shows quality and is suitable for use.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of Kahoot!-based learning media to increase students' learning interest and activeness in the learning process in class X of SMA Negeri 1 Samaturu. This research used a quantitative approach. The research subjects were students of class X at SMA Negeri 1 Samaturu. Data were collected using a questionnaire distributed to students after the implementation of learning using Kahoot! media. The questionnaire used a Likert scale consisting of several response options. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive percentage analysis to determine students’ responses to the use of Kahoot! in learning activities. The results showed that the average percentage of student responses to the use of Kahoot! learning media was 85% with a very good category. The results also indicated that the aspects of students’ learning interest obtained a percentage of 85%, student activeness in learning 83%, students’ interest in Kahoot! media 87%, and ease of understanding the material 84%. These results indicate that the use of Kahoot! as a learning media can increase students’ learning interest, activeness, and understanding of the material. Therefore, Kahoot! can be used as an innovative and interactive learning media to support a more effective and engaging learning process.

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in determining a nation's progress. Mathematics is a strategic subject in elementary education because it can develop students' logical, analytical, creative, and critical thinking skills. One important topic in fifth grade is the addition and subtraction of fractions. This topic often presents difficulties because learning still emphasizes mechanical procedures, resulting in students lacking a deep understanding of the concept and having difficulty solving problems reflectively. This study aims to develop a Mathematics Flipbook E-Module based on Problem Based Learning integrated with Computational Thinking to improve students' understanding of fraction concepts and reflective thinking skills. The study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the DDD-E (Decide, Design, Develop, Evaluate) model. The research stages included needs analysis, interactive content design, digital media development, and validity and practicality evaluation through limited and large-scale trials. The results showed that the developed Flipbook E-Module was valid according to material and media experts. This product was practical for use by teachers and students. The E-Module was proven to increase learning motivation, critical thinking skills, and systematic fraction problem-solving skills. The integration of interactive digital media, problem-based learning, and computational thinking supports deeper and more contextual mathematics learning in accordance with the Independent Curriculum. This product serves as both teaching materials and learning tools that encourage students to think creatively, critically, reflectively, and systematically.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran Team Games Tournament (TGT) berbantu Wordwall terhadap kemampuan literasi numerik siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar pada materi satuan luas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain quasi experimental tipe Nonequivalent Posttest-Only Kontrol Group Design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas IV.A sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas IV.B sebagai kelas eksperimen, masing-masing berjumlah 22 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes pilihan ganda yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Data dianalisis melalui uji statistik deskriptif, uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk, uji homogenitas Levene, serta uji hipotesis menggunakan Independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen (82,73) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol (65,91). Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi < 0,001 (< 0,05), sehingga terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelompok. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Team Games Tournament (TGT) berbantu Wordwall berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan literasi numerik siswa. Model ini terbukti mampu menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif, kolaboratif, dan menyenangkan, sehingga dapat menjadi alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang efektif di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of instilling an environmentally conscious character from an early age through a local cultural approach relevant to children’s lives. At TKN Pembina Soromandi, the values of Bima’s traditional wisdom such as Karaso, Kantika, and Kataho (3K) serve as the foundation for shaping children’s environmentally conscious behavior. Before this program was implemented systematically, there was still a low level of awareness among children regarding personal hygiene and the environment, as well as a lack of practice in mutual cooperation at school. Therefore, this study aims to provide an in-depth description of the implementation of the Karaso Kantika ro Kataho (3K) program as an educational effort to foster an environmentally conscious character in children at TKN Pembina Soromandi. The research design employed was qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The data sources for this study consisted of teachers, the school principal, and students at TKN Pembina Soromandi. Data collection methods included direct observation of learning activities, in-depth interviews with teachers and the school principal, and documentation of 3K activities. The data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive analysis model through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results indicate that the implementation of the 3K program encompasses several key activities: fostering personal hygiene (Karaso), collaborative efforts to maintain the school environment’s cleanliness (Kantika), planting and caring for plants (Kataho), and reflecting on values through thematic songs and stories. Through these activities, children demonstrated increased awareness of maintaining cleanliness, a love for natural beauty, and a sense of social responsibility toward the environment. Thus, the Karaso Kantika ro Kataho (3K) program is effective in internalizing environmental values rooted in local wisdom.
