Abstract

In online learning there are obstacles to student activity in collecting assignments so that it affects learning outcomes. The use of google forms is considered to be able to increase student activity and learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in the collection of active assignments using google form in class 1 G Multilingual Tsanawiyah in social studies learning at Madrasah Mu'allimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. This research is classroom action research using Kemmis and McTaggart models. The research instrument used was an observation sheet on the activity of collecting student assignments and CBT questions that had been set on the google form. The data analysis used is quantitative data analysis which is described descriptively. The results showed that the google form application was able to increase the achievement of increasing active task collection and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has provided various learning resources that can be accessed by students anytime and anywhere, including for learning languages. This should provide benefits for improving students’ language skills. This article explored several things related to the use of online learning resources by students majoring in English Education, including three problem statements, namely: (1) what kind of online learning activities did the students do for autonomous learning purposes? ; (2) what kind of improvement did they obtain from autonomous online learning activities? ; (3) what were the challenges they found in using online learning sources for autonomous learning activities? This study utilized quantitative and qualitative data to provide detailed description. Furthermore, the data was analyzed thematically. This study revealed that students tended to use social media, Youtube, and university LMS for their autonomous learning. Their reported that their autonomous learning improved their English skills, especially in listening, speaking and vocabulary mastery. It was influenced by their interest in certain skills and the learning resources they accessed. The challenges associated with online autonomous learning were unstable connections, lack of clear learning goals, and low student motivation. Several implications and recommendations are also discussed in this study.

Abstract

Students must own motivation as a driver of the learning process in order to improve their learning outcomes. This study aims to compare students’ motivation and learning outcomes using the GI and STAD models. The study adopted a quasi-experimental study with a nonequivalent control group design. Given that the research population was 40 students who took education management courses, the sampling technique used was saturated sampling where all populations were used as research samples. Class A (GI model) and B (STAD model) each amounted to 20. This study used a questionnaire instrument to measure learning motivation and a description test to measure learning outcomes. Prior to the usage of the test, a trial was conducted to determine its validity and reliability. The results of the descriptive analysis obtained almost the same mean, STAD (3.27) and GI (3.01) learning motivations had a difference of 0.26, while the mean STAD (82.75) and GI (80.15) learning outcomes had a difference of 2.60. The prerequisite test, which shows motivation data and learning outcomes, are normally distributed and homogeneous. Testing the hypothesis with the Paired Sample T-Test revealed a small difference in student motivation and learning outcomes in the application of the GI and STAD models. In conclusion, it can be surmised that STAD and GI models can improve student motivation and learning outcomes. Therefore, STAD and GI models can be used in learning, especially in education management courses.

Abstract

Pembelajaran abad 21 pada masa Pandemi Covid-19 menuntut siswa secara mandiri mampu merekayasa sesuatu dengan mengintegrasikan lebih dari satu bidang ilmu dan memanfaatkan technology untuk menyelesaikan masalah. STEM menjadi alternatif pendekatan yang dapat diintegrasikan ke dalam modul berbasis elektronik. Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul elektronik terintegrasi STEM pada materi sistem respirasi yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas X. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 tahap yaitu define, design, dan develop. Penelitian ini melibatkan 3 orang dosen ahli pendidikan, 1 orang guru, dan 30 orang siswa. Hasil validasi oleh ahli diperoleh rerata persentase sebesar 88% sehingga produk dinyatakan valid. Hasil respon siswa dan guru terhadap rpoduk secara berturut-turut diperoleh persentase sebesar 84,8% dan 89,6% sehingga produk dinyatakan praktis. Berdasarkan analisis data didapatkan hasil N-Gain yaitu 0,65 yang diklasifikasikan ke dalam peningkatan sedang dan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 96,6% sehingga dinyatakan efektif. Dapat disimpulkan modul elektronik terintegrasi STEM yang dikembangkan memnuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI pada materi sistem respirasi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SDN Banjardowo in the subject of Natural Sciences using comics media. Based on the initial test, the learning outcomes of fourth grade students who are taking science subjects at SDN Banjadowo Lengkong are in the unsatisfactory category. This type of research uses Classroom Action Assessment which is carried out in three cycles. The number of samples was 18 students with the subject Caring for Living Creatures and it was carried out in the even semester of 2021/2022. This study uses descriptive quantitative data analysis techniques obtained from the overall average presentation. The research shows that the learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SDN Banjardowo are 87.5%, the second cycle is 92.5%, and the third cycle is 97.5%. The results showed that the learning outcomes of fourth graders at SDN Banjardowo increased in the third cycle, by 5% from cycle I to cycle II and 5% from cycle II to cycle III. The conclusion in this study is that science comics learning media is very effective in helping to improve the learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SDN Banjardowo.

Abstract

This research was aimed at knowing whether there was a correlation between students’ learning styles and their reading comprehension achievement. This research applied quantitative method, i.e., a correlation study. There were 20 eleventh-grade students of MAN Bintan participated as subject of this research. The data were collected through questionnaire and test. The questionnaire was used to know the learning styles the students have, and the test was used to know their reading comprehension achievement. In analyzing the data, the authors used Pearson Product Moment formula to figure out its coefficient correlation. In this research, the authors found that R-values of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles were 0.99, while the value of R-table was 0.468. Therefore, it can be said that there was a significant correlation between students’ learning styles and their reading comprehension achievement. Hence, learning to read as much possible as also pays attention to students’ learning styles.

Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi pembelajaran Flipped Classroom yang diintegrasikan dengan model Discovery Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS) siswa. Penelitian menggunakan jenis quasi experiment dengan desain penelitian berupa post test only control group design. Populasi subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI SMA N 1 Banyumas. Pengambilan sampel penelitian dilakukan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling sehingga diperoleh siswa kelas XI MIPA 1 sebagai kelas kontrol dan XI MIPA 4 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan sintaks pembelajaran, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen tes merupakan instrument utama dalam penelitian, dan dikembangkan dalam bentuk pilihan ganda berdasarkan kisi-kisi HOTS sesuai dengan teori Taxonomy Bloom’s, namun masih terbatas pada level menganalisis (C4) dan menyimpulkan (C5). Analisis data untuk pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji T-test, uji F, dan uji eta. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa hasil uji T-test menunjukkan nilai sig. = 0,000, yang artinya terdapat perbedaan nilai rata-rata HOTS siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas control. Hasil uji F menunjukan nilai sig. = 0,000, yang artinya terdapat pengaruh Flipped Classroom yang diintegrasikan dengan model Discovery Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa. Hasil uji korelasi eta menunjukan nilai koefisien korelasi = 0,507, artinya pengaruh Flipped Classroom yang diintegrasikan dengan model Discovery Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi pada kategori sedang. Berdasarkan analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan strategi pembelajaran Flipped Classroom yang diintegrasikan dengan model Discovery Learning berpengaruh sedang terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa. This study aims to determine the effect of the Flipped Classroom learning strategy applied to the Discovery Learning model on students' higher-order thinking skills. This research is quantitative with quasi experiment method. The subject of research are students in senior high school at SMAN 1 Banyumas. Sampling was carried out using cluster random sampling technique. The research design used post-test only control group design. Tests and documentation were used to collecting data. The instrument used in this research is multiple choice test questions which are arranged with a HOTS grid with Blooms' Taxonomy criteria in analyze (C4) and evaluation (C5). There are two methods of data analysis, namely 1) prerequisite test consisting of normality test and homogeneity test, and 2) hypothesis testing using T-test, F test, and eta test. The results showed that: on the T-test, there was a difference in the students' average HOTS scores between the experimental class and the control class (sig. = 0.000), and the F test results showed that there was an effect of Flipped Classroom applied to the Discovery Learning model on students' HOTS ( sig value = 0.000) and the eta correlation test shows that there is a moderate effect (correlation coefficient = 0.507). Therefore, it can be concluded that Flipped Classroom learning strategy applied to the Discovery Learning model has a moderate effect on students' higher-order thinking skills.

Abstract

Salah satu strategi pelestarian budaya agar tidak tergerus oleh globalisasi adalah melalui pendidikan sehingga penelitian terhadap budaya perlu dilakukan sebagai bentuk pelestarian dan memberikan sumbangsih di bidang pendidikan terutama untuk kegiatan pembelajaran. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menemukan matematika dalam budaya masyarakat Melayu Lingga, yaitu Tudung Saji Pandan Lingga. Penelitian ini fokus pada eksplorasi unsur matematika pada Tudung Saji Pandan Lingga. Pendekatan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini, yaitu etnografi. Dalam mengumpulkan data, teknik yang digunakan melalui lembar wawancara dan observasi serta peneliti sebagai instrumen utama. Analisis data mengacu pada Miles dan Huberman (1992), yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari eksplorasi menunjukkan, adanya konsep-konsep matematika yang ditemukan dalam Tudung Saji Pandan Lingga sehingga dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika. Beberapa konsep tersebut adalah bangun ruang sisi lengkung (kerucut), bangun datar (lingkaran, segi enam, segitiga sama sisi), bagian-bagian dari lingkaran (tali busur, tembereng, juring), simetri lipat, dan sudut. Hasil temuan ini dapat digunakan pendidik untuk mengajarkan matematika di sekolah dengan konteks nyata. One strategy for preserving culture, so as not to be eroded by globalization, is through education. So that research on culture needs to be carried out as a form of preservation and making a contribution in the field of education, especially for learning activities. The purpose of this research is to find mathematics in the culture of the Malay Lingga community, namely Tudung Saji Pandan Lingga. This study focuses on exploring the elements of mathematics in Tudung Saji Pandan Lingga. The approach used in this research is ethnography. In collecting data, the techniques used were through interviews and observation sheets, as well as the researcher as the main instrument. Data analysis refers to Miles and Huberman (1992), namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the exploration show that there are mathematical concepts found in Tudung Saji Pandan Lingga, so they can be used in learning mathematics. Some of these concepts are curved side shapes (cones), flat shapes (circles, hexagons, equilateral triangles), parts of a circle (project chords, segments, wedges), folding symmetry, and angles. The results of these findings can be used by educators to teach mathematics in schools, with real contexts.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh guru mata pelajaran di kelas adalah kurangnya minat peserta didik dalam mengerjakan tugas dan banyaknya peserta didik yang tidak hadir dalam pembelajaran. Hal ini tentu akan berdampak pada hasil belajar peserta didik. Guna mengatasi permasalah tersebut, maka peneliti sebagai kepala sekolah melakukan penelitian tindakan dengan memanfaatkan LKPD berbasis liveworksheet guna meningkatkan keaktifan belajar dan prestasi belajar peserta didik. Penelitian tindakan ini terdiri dari 2 siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari 4 uraian kegiatan, diantaranya perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Jumlah guru mata pelajaran yang terlibat adalah 8 orang yang terdiri dari Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI), PPKn, Bahasa Indonesia, Matematika, IPA, IPS, Seni Budaya serta Bimbingan Konseling (BK). Sedangkan jumlah keseluruhan siswa adalah 287. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian tindakan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan persentase keaktifan siswa dalam hal mengerjakan tugas dan kehadiran yang dilihat pada siklus I dan II. Rata-rata kehadiran peserta didik di dalam pembelajaran dari 87% meningkat menjadi 95%, dan rata-rata keaktifan mengerjakan tugas pada siklus dari 79% menjadi 94%. Nilai rata-rata hasil belajar menggunakan LKPD berbasis liveworksheet dari 85 menjadi 92. The problems in learning are that students frequently did not attend the class and do the exercises or homework. These problems will influence students’ achievement average scores, so the researcher does the school action research for problem-solving by utilizing the Lifeworksheet-based-student worksheet. This action research consists of 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 descriptions of activities, including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The number of teachers involved is eight teachers consisting of Islamic Religious Education (PAI), PPKn, Indonesian Language, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Cultural Arts, and Counseling Guidance (BK). The total of students are 287. In the Data analysis, the researcher uses qualitative descriptive methods. The results showed an increase in students' percentage of activity in terms of doing assignments and attendance seen in cycles I and II. The average score of learning outcomes using life worksheet-based worksheets increased from 85 to 92. The students' average attendance in online learning from 87% increased to 95%, and the average activity of doing assignments in the cycles from 79% to 94%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan sebuah produk berbentuk aplikasi android yang Valid dan Praktis sehingga dapat mendukung pembelajaran secara hybrid terkhusus pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel (SPLDV). Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research & Development). Model penelitian yang digunakan adalah Define, Design, and Development. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa lembar validasi dan lembar kepraktisan penggunaan aplikasi. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu angket. Teknik analisis data dilakukan analisis angket validitas dan praktikalitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media yang dikembangkan valid dari dari segi media, materi dan bahasa serta praktis dari segi indikator efektif, interaktif, efisien, dan kreatif. This study aims to produce a product in the form of a valid and practical android application so that it can support hybrid learning, especially in the material for the Two Variable Linear Equation System (SPLDV). The type of research conducted is research and development (R&D). The research model used is Define, Design, and Development. The research instruments used were validation sheets and practice application usage sheets. The data collection method in this study was a questionnaire. The data analysis technique was carried out by analyzing the validity and practicality of the questionnaire. The results showed that the developed media was valid in terms of media, material and language as well as practical in terms of indicators of effectiveness, interactive, efficient, and creative.
