Abstract

This study aims to determine how influential the use of Hand Paddle media and Push Up Exercises are to increase freestyle swimming speed in children aged 11-12 years. This study used Quantitative research methods and Experimental research types, Freestyle swimming test using one-group pre-test post-test design for 10 treatments, This study was as many as 20 students from extracurricular swimming at SDN Pasir benteng 2 with Purposive Sampling sampling technique, The results of descriptive analysis showed a significant decrease in swimming time for both groups. The average swimming time of the Hand Paddle group decreased from 35.66 seconds in the Pre Test to 29.82 seconds in the Post Test, while the Push Up group decreased from 37.41 seconds to 35.35 seconds, These findings suggest that both interventions have been successful in increasing swimming speed.

Abstract

Physiotherapy is a form of health service aimed at individuals and groups as maintaining and restoring body movement functions throughout life. Ankle Sprain is a stretching or tearing that occurs due to (overstretch) trauma to the lateral ligament complex, due to inversion and plantar flexion movements that occur excessively when the foot is unable to provide perfect support on the floor/ground. A common injury to the ankle is Ankle Sprain, a sports injury that often occurs in volleyball and basketball players. To develop Standard Operating Procedures in performing physiotherapy treatment in chronic Ankle Sprain cases. This study was conducted using the research method of developing physiotherapy operational standards with this ankle sprain injury handling model starting with preliminary studies, history taking, assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and evaluation. The type of research conducted is Quantitative research using quasi experimental methods with pretest-posttest control group design. Experimental and control groups conducted an initial test. Both groups received different treatments, where the experimental group received thrust manipulation intervention and the control group received non thrust intervention in the form of myofascial release. There was a significant reduction in pain after manipulation therapy with the thrust and nonthrust methods on two groups were measured using the Numeric Rating Scale and after being evaluated for two weeks the pain did  not increase. The provision of thrust and nonthrust manipulation therapy measures is highly recommended for the treatment of ankle pain. However, between the two methods there has not been. However, there is no significant difference between the two methods given the limited time of the study.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate differences in the quality of physical fitness of students in cities and villages, which are influenced by geographical location and different daily activities. The research method used was quantitative descriptive with a population and sample of 160 people. The data analysis technique applied is the Mann-Whitney Test. The results showed quantitatively significant differences between the two groups, with the average difference showing that fitness in villages reached 5.42 compared to students in cities. This indicates that the group of students in the village has a higher level of fitness than the group of students in the city. The fitness assessment using the Indonesian Physical Fitness Test (TKJI) category shows that students in the city are in the Medium fitness category, while students in the village are in the Good fitness category. The findings illustrate that more active physical activity in villages may be the cause of the difference. Students in villages tend to have a more active lifestyle, engaging in physical activities such as walking, running, and jumping, while students in cities tend to spend their free time playing with gadgets. In conclusion, the results of this study support the view that geographical factors and daily activities affect students' fitness levels, with implications for TKJI categories that indicate better fitness levels in villages than cities.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the level of physical fitness in extracurricular participants, namely basketball. This type of research is a descriptive quantitative survey method. The population in the study was 55 people, the sampling technique used to determine the sample was purposive sampling, totaling 35 male students. The instrument used is the TKJI test for ages 13-15 years. The results obtained were that the physical fitness of basketball extracurricular participants was deficient (74.29%) with 26 students. These results can be a reference for teachers and trainers to be able to create measurable and targeted training programs and for parents to pay attention to children's nutritional patterns and daily activities. Given the significance of physical fitness for pupils, PJOK teachers in schools need to give this particular consideration while implementing in-class instruction. It will be simpler for teachers to deliver training materials or learning materials if they are physically fit, according to the conversation that has been described

Abstract

In squash, Agility is the ability to move various footsteps and aim to place the body position as quickly as possible. This study aims to determine the effect of  Cones Drill and BackCourt exercises on increasing agility in squash. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method using pretest posttest control group design. The population in this study was 76 people from all over West Java Squash athletes, a sample of 22 squash athletes in Sumedang district using purposive sampling techniques. Before collecting data, researchers were divided into 2 groups using the ABBA technique. The data collection technique was carried out by conducting initial tests using the Illinois Agility Run to 2 groups. Then given the Cones Drill and Backcourt Session exercise treatment, then given a final test using the illinois agility run. for data processing techniques, descriptive statistical analysis and comparative test analysis which shows that, (1) There is a significant influence on increasing agility in squash sports with the Cones Drill training method. (2) There is a significant effect on increasing agility in squash with the BackCourt Session training method. (3) There is no significant difference in the effect between Cones Drill training methods and BackCourt Session training on the ability to increase agility in squash. The practice method of cone drill drills and backcourt sessions has an influence on improving agility, both methods have a very significant influence. Abstract

This research shows the importance of this type of exercise in badminton to improve footwork skills. The research aimed to determine the effect of hurdle drills and shadow training on footwork and which exercises are the most effective. This research uses a quantitative approach method with a quasi-experimental design. The sample involved in this study consisted of 30 PB athletes. Sampurna Sumedang, aged 10-14, was selected using purposive sampling techniques. This study involved three groups; One control group was a conventional exercise, and two experimental groups were doing hurdle drills and shadow exercises. Pretest and posttest data were obtained using Tohar's badminton footwork research instrument. Data processing and analysis using ANAVA: Sig. value 0.03 < α = 0.05, meaning significant differences from each group to footwork. The post hoc test showed the results of a hurdle drill with a value of 15.30, shadow training with a result of 14.70, and a control group with a value of 13.60. In conclusion, hurdle drill training, shadow training, and conventional training are effective in badminton footwork. The results of this study show that hurdle drill exercises are better than shadow exercises and conventional exercises because they are more varied and efficient.
