Abstract

This research was carried out to find out the effect of training using the High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) model on increasing VO2 Max in white water rafting athletes. This research design is an experimental pre-post design. This research used 28 white water rafting athletes, consisting of 16 male athletes and 12 female athletes. The athlete's age range is 16-22 years. All research subjects were in healthy condition. All subjects were given the same treatment, namely training using the HIIT model. Intervention with HIIT cardio training. The HIIT training model uses an intensity of 90-100% of Maximal Heart Rate (MHR). HIIT is done with a ratio of 30 seconds of exercise then 3 minutes of rest. Exercise uses an intensity of 90% MHR in the first week and will be increased every week until it reaches 100% MHR. Exercises were carried out for 6 weeks with a frequency of 4x per week. VO2 Max measurements are carried out using a multistage test instrument. In this research, it can be seen that HIIT exercise carried out for 6 weeks with a frequency of 4 times per week can increase athletes' VO2 Max. There is a significant difference in VO2 Max between male and female athletes with a difference test result of P < 0.05. Exercise using the HIIT model which is carried out for 6 weeks with a frequency of 4x a week can increase the VO2 Max of white water rafting athletes. HIIT training can be used as a recommendation to increase VO2 Max for white water rafting athletes.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to provide an overview and assess the viability of developing the Sepak takraw model. The research employs the ADDIE R&D research method. The design for developing the Sepak takraw model through TGfU comprises several activity components, namely game, net, wall, and target invasion. The sample for this study consisted of 34 university students, who were subjected to an effectiveness test. The pre-test average score was 22.06 and the post-test average score after being given Sepak takraw model through TGfU was  34.24,  which  means  that  there  was  an increase in the results from the pretest to the post-test. The results of the correlation test show a p-value of  0.000 (< 0.005), which means there is a correlation between the increase in technical skills in the given model. So it can be concluded that the development of the sepak takraw model through tgfu is effective for use in sepak takraw learning to improve basic skills.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how the process and results of implementing playing sports learning affect students' forward rolling skills. The type of research used is classroom action research (Action Research Classroom). The classroom action research model used in this research is the Kemmis-Mc spiral model. This model divides one cycle of classroom action research procedures into four stages, namely planning, acting, observing and reflection. The research subjects were 26 students in class VI B at SDN Cicalengka 07 for the 2023/2024 academic year, consisting of 12 male students and 14 female students. The findings that can be shown in cycle I resulted in the complete achievement of the front roll skill results using playing sports learning at 70% with student activity at 74%. In cycle II, quite significant results were obtained in terms of completeness achievement of 85% with student activity of 88%. In cycle III, significant results were obtained in achieving completeness of 93% with student activity of 96%. It can be concluded from the research that through a playing sports learning approach it can improve students' forward rolling skills and activity.

Abstract

Increased swimming speed can be attributed to factors such as improved motor  coordination, physical endurance, and possibly other benefits gained through  traditional play. This study aims to evaluate the effect of participation in traditional games on increasing freestyle swimming speed in athletes who are members of the  Riau Aquatic Swimming Association in Pekanbaru. This study used an experimental  approach by dividing athletes into two groups: a group that underwent additional  traditional game sessions and a control group that underwent regular training  without additional intervention. Swimming speed measurements were carried out  before and after the intervention period. The results of the T test in table 4 for the  experimental group obtained a calculated T value = 29.665 > T table = 2.052 and a sig  value. (2.tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05. The conclusion of the research shows that traditional  games have a significant influence on freestyle swimming speed in athletes from the  Riau Aquatic Swimming Association, Pekanbaru, Riau Province.

Abstract

Traditional sports are a type of sport that exists in a certain area, based on the culture of that area. Traditional games are physical activities that are carried out consciously and deliberately and use traditional rules that have been passed down from generation to generation by the community. The traditional game that researchers used to conduct this research was the traditional game gobak sodor. The gobak sodor game is a team sport consisting of more than two people in one group. The aim of this research is to describe the influence of the traditional game Gobak Sodor on students' agility and cooperation so that there is no need for a comparison class (control class) so that conclusions can be drawn whether there is an influence of the traditional game Gobak Sodor on students' agility and cooperation. The sample in this study was 29 students at SDI Imam Ahmad Bin Hanbal taken using purposive sampling technique. This research uses a quantitative approach with an experimental research method, one group pretest posttest design. Shuttle run test for agility, observation of cooperation to determine the level of cooperation and documentation. Statistical calculations using SPSS 26 paired sample t test. The data shows that there is a significant influence of traditional gobak sodor on the agility of fourth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to demonstrate the effect of high-intensity circuit training on increasing aerobic capacity in healthy men. The research employed a true-experimental design, utilizing a quantitative approach with a pretest-posttest control group structure. The participants were 20 male students aged 20-22, each with a body mass index (BMI) ranging from 19 to 23 kg/m2 and typical vital signs. The subjects were randomly assigned to G1 (control group; n=10) and G2 (high-intensity circuit training group; n=10). The high-intensity circuit training for G2 was conducted at an intensity of 85-90% of maximum heart rate (HRmax) thrice weekly for eight weeks. Aerobic capacity was assessed using the Multi-stage Fitness Test (the beep test). Data analysis was performed using paired sample t-tests and independent sample t-tests, with a significance level set at 5%. The results indicated that the average aerobic capacity in the pretest and posttest in G1 changed from 25.02±1.21 to 25.67±1.36 mL/kg/min (p=0.254), while in G2, it improved from 26.13±1.35 to 32.31±2.16 mL/kg/min (p=0.001). The findings led to the conclusion that the eight-week high-intensity circuit training intervention was effective in enhancing the aerobic capacity of healthy males.

Abstract

Tabata workouts are exercises that use intensity with monotonous and numerous movements that pile up an injury. In the research, this researcher modified exercise tabata using bodyweight training to motivate students when they exercise with the Tabata model. Besides, modification intensity supports students who are spared from frequent injuries, especially athletes who exercise tabata with intensity. Research purposes This is for known influence exercise tabata to increase students' VO2Max with modification movement and intensity that has been modified. The type of research used is a study experiment with design one group pretest-posttest design research. 11 students will participate in a study; they will do exercise tabata with an intensity of 80-90% 3 times a week for 3 weeks. The entire subject involved in the study is active students who do physical activity at least 2 times a week. The paired sample t-test was used in the study. The research result is that there is a difference between pre and post-surgery students who exercise tabata for 3 weeks (p ≤ 0.05) with an increase in VO2Max by 15.93%. Conclusions study This exercise tabata for 3 weeks is capable of increasing VO2Max in students. Modified Tabata workout with bodyweight training movements with 8 different movements gives significant enhancement to students' VO2Max.
