Abstract

This study aims to conduct a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) in order to synthesize the literature and formulate a physical education learning model to improve junior high school students’ flexibility in floor exercises. The method used is a systematic literature review based on the analysis of six selected relevant journal articles. The process involved extracting key findings related to the importance of flexibility, learning challenges faced by junior high school students, the effectiveness of teaching methods and styles, as well as the influence of motivation. The synthesis results confirm that flexibility is crucial for floor exercise movements (such as backbends and forward rolls), and that junior high school students face both physical and psychological challenges. The literature highlights the effectiveness of various approaches, such as the use of media, practice style, and peer tutoring, along with the importance of motivation. These findings provide the conceptual foundation for designing the model. The conclusion of this study is that the synthesis of SLR findings offers a solid basis for formulating an adaptive and effective learning model to improve junior high school students’ flexibility in floor exercises through a comprehensive approach that considers both physical and psychological aspects.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the shooting and passing technique abilities of students who take part in futsal extracurricular activities at Nur Hidayah Kartasura Senior High School. A quantitative approach was employed, using a test method to collect data. The population comprised 40 students, while a purposive sampling technique was applied to select a sample of 25 students. The primary variables examined were the students’ competencies in performing shooting and passing techniques in futsal. The findings revealed that in the shooting technique test, 60% (15 students) achieved the “fair” category, 28% (7 students) reached the “good” category, and 12% (3 students) fell into the “poor” category. Regarding the passing technique, 56% (14 students) were classified as “good,” 36% (9 students) as “very good,” and 8% (2 students) as “poor.” These results indicate that most students possess adequate technical abilities. Nevertheless, continuous and well-structured training programs remain essential to further enhance their performance and ensure sustained skill development over time.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the professionalism of prospective physical education teachers viewed from eight teaching skills. This research is a quantitative descriptive study with the primary focus of the study being to analyze the professionalism of prospective physical education teachers in terms of eight teaching skills. The population in this study was 83 prospective physical education teachers who attended micro teaching lectures in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. A purposive sampling technique was used for this study. The selected sample had met the established criteria, namely: attending lectures more than 80% or at least 13 meetings, and being willing to be a research sample. Based on these criteria, there were 53 prospective physical education teachers. The data collection technique used a questionnaire consisting of thirty statements. Data was analyzed using percentages with five categories. The results of this study indicate that the teaching skills of prospective physical education teachers are at a good to excellent level, particularly in the areas of providing reinforcement, asking questions, and managing the classroom. However, the aspect of guiding small group discussions still requires special attention in coaching to ensure more equitable learning quality across all teaching skill indicators. It can be concluded that prospective physical education teachers are professional, as seen from the eight teaching skills.

Abstract

The use of smartphones, if not properly controlled, will also hurt the population of Papua, especially students who are more prone to smartphone addiction. This study aims to determine the level of smartphone addiction and the relationship between physical activity and physical fitness among students in Papua. The method used is a quantitative correlation analysis design. The sample consisted of 91 university students (73 males and 18 females) selected using a stratified proportional random sampling method. Data collection techniques included the Smartphone Addiction Scale (SAS), which is a valid and reliable instrument with a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.848, the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), and the Rockport Test to assess students' physical fitness. The results showed that the level of smartphone addiction was moderate (57.1%), the respondents' level of physical activity was mostly high (61.5%), and their level of physical fitness was mostly good (47.9%). The conclusion showed a significant correlation between the variables with a P value < 0.05. Based on the research findings, it is recommended that students increase their physical activity levels to reduce smartphone use and improve their physical fitness.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of squat jump and bodyweight squat training on leg muscle strength of Kudus Regency Wushu athletes. Quantitative data from a quasi-experimental design are used in this study. The sample for this study included 16 individuals between the ages of 15 and 20 who were male and female Wushu Taolu practitioners in the Kudus Regency. The research instrument used pretest-posttest data collection with the vertical jump test. Normality tests, homogeneity tests, and t-test hypothesis tests are all included in data analysis procedures. The comes about appeared that there was a noteworthy impact of squat hop and bodyweight squat preparing on leg muscle quality of Kudus Regency Wushu Taolu athletes. The percentage increase in squat jump training is 15.31%, while bodyweight squat training has a percentage increase of 14.69%. This shows that squat jump training and bodyweight training both have a significant effect on increasing leg muscle strength.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Emotional Quotient (EQ) abilities of athletes from the Terang Bangsa U-17 Football School (SSB), focusing on three main aspects: emotional stability, emotional strength, and emotional satisfaction. These components play a crucial role in supporting athletes’ performance under competitive pressure. A quantitative descriptive method was used, involving 26 athletes selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was an EQ test consisting of 75 items with a completion time of 45 minutes. The results showed that 53.8% of athletes were categorized as highly stable in terms of emotional stability, 65.4% demonstrated strong emotional strength, and 80.8% were highly satisfied emotionally. These findings indicate that, in general, the athletes of SSB Terang Bangsa U-17 possess a good level of EQ, contributing positively to their motivation, emotional resilience, and psychological well-being. However, the study highlights the need for continuous mental training, especially for athletes who fall into the lower categories in one or more EQ dimensions. In conclusion, the development of emotional intelligence is an essential component of psychological coaching in sports.

Abstract

This research aims to develop and test the effectiveness of Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning media that focuses on phase D basketball dribbling techniques in the subject of Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK). The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model involving 15 students in small-scale trials and 30 students in large-scale trials. The learning materials are structured based on the Independent Curriculum and are presented through illustrative images and three-dimensional animations integrated into interactive AR video game applications. Media validation was carried out by material experts and programming experts with the results of the category of feasible and very feasible. Quantitative data in the form of pretest and posttest results were analyzed using the gain score formula, showing a significant increase in students' dribbling skills with an average gain score of 0.64. Qualitative data from questionnaires and observations showed positive student responses to AR media that increased motivation and learning engagement. The results of the study concluded that AR-based learning media was effectively used to improve basketball dribbling technique skills in PJOK students. This research contributes to the development of innovative learning media that combines AR technology with sports learning.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the challenges faced by employee class students in aquatic lectures in terms of time management. Time management here is defined as the decision-making process to organize and adjust time according to changing needs. Employee class students face challenges in dividing their time between work, study, and practical activities that require physical presence. The method used is descriptive quantitative with a questionnaire covering four aspects including time management, time protection, time adaptation, and time use effectiveness. The sample consisted of 40 students who contracted the Aquatic Learning course. The results showed that students' time management skills were in the fairly good category, with an average score of 2.95 on a scale of 1 to 4. The aspects of time management and effectiveness received high scores, while time protection was an area that needed improvement. These findings indicate that although students have basic skills in time management, additional strategies are needed to improve consistency and focus in practical learning.
