Abstract

Development of Reader Response-Based Archipelago Folklore Teaching Materials aims to increase students' intellectual activity through archipelago folklore. data, (3) product design, (4) design validation, (5) design improvement, (6) product trial (7) design improvement. Data analysis uses qualitative data analysis techniques, while the validation sheet analysis and questionnaire steps include: converting quantitative data into qualitative, tabulating the data obtained on each aspect, calculating the average score, and changing the average score into categories. Research results shows that 1) the need for teaching materials according to teachers and students, paying attention to: (a) the context of language for various purposes, (b) keeping up with the times, (c) in accordance with the applicable curriculum by raising themes around students, ( d) the relevance between teachers and students in teaching (f) tasks/practices can activate students, (g) material attracts students' interest, is clear, and easy to understand, and (h) relatively 2) describes the teacher's role in learning appreciation of archipelago folklore through reader response model, obtain an overview of student activity in dealing with Indonesian folklore through the reader response model, 3) Product quality based on The results of the validation of material experts based on the percentage of assessment scores obtained an average score of 93.75%, media expert validation of the percentage of assessment scores obtained an average score of 81.66%, 3 educator assessments obtained an average score of 88.59%. Based on the results of the overall validation with an average score that is categorized as very feasible to use.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the needs of teachers and students on critical reading skills. This research uses descriptive quantitative research. Data collection tools are questionnaires and interviews. The subjects of this study were 23 grade VII students and 21 Indonesian language teachers in grade VII SMP who were members of the Subject Teacher Consultative Forum (MGMP), Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta. The results showed that female and male students had the same interest in reading activities, most of the students preferred to learn by discussion. Before reading the text, most of the students tried to guess the reason the author wrote the text, guessed the contents of the text from titles, and make questions to guide. From the teacher's perspective, it was found that the teacher felt that learning to read critically was a difficult task, the teacher needed a reading learning model using discussion. From the interviews, it turned out that the teacher had not taught critical reading skills in class. Critical reading skills are very important and needed by students today. Therefore, the critical reading learning model with discussion is very much needed by teachers and students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the code mixing of student slang at universities in Indonesian language courses, especially Esa Unggul University. This type of qualitative research and descriptive method of analysis. The process of collecting basic and advanced technical data is insertion, intrusion, or insertion techniques. The data before being analyzed is verified first, then analyzed. Validation is done by triangulation technique through internal and external validation. The results found that many students use mixed language, especially writing. It is better for lecturers to give warnings both directly in class, and in writing through scientific writing, and provide intensive counseling so that the younger generation does not lose their national identity. Abstract

The ability to speak in public in the digital era 4.0 is increasingly developing using digital media, one of which is podcasts. Podcasts have a different structure from other types of speaking discourse in general. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to describe the structure of podcast conversations on Deddy Corbuzier's youtube channel in dealing with covid-19. This study uses a qualitative approach with qualitative content analysis methods. The source of the data in this study is Deddy Corbuizer's podcast and the data in this study are all oral utterances that occur during the conversation process. Data collection using documentation techniques. The data analysis technique was carried out by content analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study found, speaking turns occur because of an understanding between the speaker and the speech partner in taking their turn to speak, pauses include short pauses and medium pauses, short pauses occur in the middle of speech marked by the phrase ehh and pauses are occurring at the end of the speech because there is no direct response. from the speech partner, overlapping speech occurs because of the speaking turn taking by the speech partner before the speaker gives the opportunity, backchannel occurs because of a response from the speech partner on the sidelines of the speaker's statement in the form of heem, he'eh, yes, okay, and pair Ajesensi is marked by the presence of questions asking how are you at the beginning of the conversation and thanks at the end of the conversation, in this case the questions and greetings already have automatic answers. This shows that in Deddy Corbuzier's podcast conversation there is a complete conversation structure. And has its own characteristics, especially in opening direct conversations to the point without too many introductions like other types of discourse

Abstract

Novel Guru Aini karya Andrea Hirata memiliki keunikan dalam menceritakan perjuangan tokoh utama dalam menggapai cita-cita. Dari keunikan tersebut diperlukan respons pembaca terutama untuk anak SMA, yaitu terkait apakah benar novel Guru Aini karya Andrea Hirata layak untuk dibaca. Untuk itu tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana reader respons pada novel Guru Aini karya Andrea Hirata di SMA Rejang Lebong kelas XI. Pendekatan yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah kualitatif dan metode deskriptif analisis. Data penelitian adalah jawaban dari respon pembaca. Sumber data adalah novel Guru Aini karya Andrea Hirata.penelitian bersumber dari tanggapan siswa di SMAN 2 Rejang Lebong, SMAN 4 Rejang Lebong, dan SMAN 5 Rejang Lebong. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan peneliti adalah teknik tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada novel Guru Aini karya Andrea Hirata tentang tokoh yang paling menarik di dalam novel Guru Aini adalah guru Desi, Aini, Enun, Saidah, ayah Desi, Debut. Pesan moral yang dapat dijadikan pelajaran di kehidupan sehari-hari yaitu jangan mudah putus asa, harus berani mengambil resiko, harus bertanggung jawab, harus percaya diri dan harus jujur.   Kata Kunci: Novel, Reader Response

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan menyimak mahasiswa yang diperoleh dari hasil Uji Kemahiran Berbahasa Indonesia (UKBI) di provinsi Bengkulu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa selama tahun 2022 mahasiswa yang melaksanakan UKBI di Kantor Bahasa provinsi Bengkulu sebanyak 175 mahasiswa. Dari 175 mahasiswa tersebut rata-rata skor keterampilan menyimakkan mahasiswa adalah 472 yang artinya berada pada peringkat 5 yaitu semenjana. Predikat ini menunjukkan bahwa peserta uji memiliki kemahiran yang cukup memadai dalam berkomunikasi dengan menggunakan bahasa Indonesia, baik lisan maupun tulis. Namun dalam berkomunikasi untuk keperluan keilmiahan, yang bersangkutan sangat terkendala. Untuk keperluan keprofesian dan kemasyarakatan yang kompleks, yang bersangkutan masih mengalami kendala, tetapi tidak terkendala untuk keperluan keprofesian dan kemasyarakatan yang tidak kompleks. Hal ini juga masih jauh dari standar tentang standar kemahiran berbahasa indonesia yang telah dirumuskan pemerintah pada Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia Nomor 70 Tahun 2016. Berdasarkan peraturan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kategori semenjana atau kategori di bawahnya diperuntukan untuk profesi teknisi, asisten ahli, juru masak, petani, peternak, nelayan, pekerja bangunan,tukang kayu, operator mesin, perakit mesin, sopir, pramuwisma, tenaga kebersihan, buruh, pengasuh bayi dan penjaga kebun. Diperlukan berbagai upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menyimak mahasiswa diantaranya meningkatkan intesitas mahasiswa untuk berlatih menyimak.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students’ perception of the Brain-Based Learning Model (MPBO) in learning of comprehension reading. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale. The data for each variable is processed by the following steps: grouping the data, tabulating the data, presenting the data in tabular form, calculating scores, presenting the data in the form of pictures, and drawing conclusions both for each variable and as a whole. This study concludes that students consider MPBO is good when used in learning of comprehension reading. This can be seen from the perception score given by students, which is 424. If it is presented, the score becomes 84.50%. This means that students' perceptions are slightly agree.

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan menghasilkan produk model pembelajaran project based learning dalam pembelajaran menulis berita. Prosedur penelitian ini mengikuti prosedur pengembangan Borg & Gall. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa dan dosen program studi PBSI di Universitas PGRI Semarang. Proses pengembangan ini menghasilkan produk berupa menghasilkan produk model pembelajaran project based learning dalam pembelajaran menulis berita yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data instrumen non tes yaitu angket yang diberikan kepada 2 orang ahli materi dan 2 orang ahli media. Hasil kelayakan produk menghasilkan produk model pembelajaran project based learning dalam pembelajaran menulis berita dengan menggunakan skala likert berupa skor 1-5 adalah sebagai berikut: a) Hasil validasi oleh ahli materi diperoleh skor sebesar 81,54% yaitu termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak; b) Hasil validasi oleh ahli media diperoleh skor sebesar 78,4% yang termasuk dalam kategori layak. Berdasarkan hasil kelayakan dapat disimpulkan bahwa produk model pembelajaran project based learning layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis berita.

Abstract

Novel is unique in their paragraph arrangement. The uniqueness of writing this paragraph is because novels are part of literary works in the form of prose fiction. Likewise, the novel Laskar Pelangi by Andrea Hirata is packaged with paragraphs that attract the reader's attention. For this reason, this research aims to describe the development of paragraphs in the novel Laskar Pelangi by Andrea Hirata. The data in this study are in the form of paragraphs, while the data source is the novel Laskar Pelangi by Andrea Hirata. The method used in this study is the method of content analysis, while the research design is Mayring's qualitative content analysis. Data collection techniques are documentation and note-taking techniques sourced from the novel Laskar Pelangi by Andrea Hirata. The main instrument in this research is the researcher and assisted by data tabulation. The data analysis technique begins with 1) formulating the problem to be researched, 2) creating categories, 3) searching for data with paragraph development categories according to its type, 4) formative examination, 5) summative checking, and 6) interpreting each paragraph development found.  The results showed that the novel Laskar Pelangi by Andrea Hirata was developed using various paragraph developments, namely a) single-sentence paragraphs, b) descriptive paragraphs, c) informative paragraphs, d) dialogue paragraphs, and e) monologue paragraphs. The strength of the novel Laskar Pelangi by Andrea Hirata uses informative paragraph development because the development of informative paragraphs serves to inform the reader about the atmosphere, place and time of the event, so that the reader is carried away into the storyline.

Abstract

The 2013 Curriculum of Indonesia mandates various concepts that must be applied through policies and practices by the related parties. Some of them are the implementation of scientific approach and HOTS-based evaluation in the teaching and learning process. The aims of this research are (1) to describe the form of daily Indonesian language HOTS-based test questions; (2) to describe the results of students' creative thinking abilities; (3) to describe the level of difficulty of the daily Indonesian language HOTS-based test questions. This study employed a descriptive method with qualitative analysis techniques. The population of this study was 30 students of class XI IPA SMA Muhammadiyah Cibiuk Garut, while the sample was 20 students who were selected by random sampling technique. The data collection technique was carried out with documentation techniques by analyzing both the test items and the answers. The results show: (1) the daily Indonesian language test items are not completely HOTS-based. (2) not all of the test items meet the creative thinking indicators. (3) there are test items that are not suitable with the difficulty level. In the test items of making proposal chapter, out of five questions, two of them were considered too easy, because of that the questions were not suitable to use in HOTS-based test. From the results of the research above, the implementation of HOTS in test requires a lot of efforts from both the teachers and students. Even though the created test items have been considered at the HOTS level, if they do not assist the students in thinking creatively, then the questions cannot be considered to be able to encourage creative thinking process.
