Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to describe and review speech acts in the debate of presidential candidate of the Republic of Indonesia 2014 on June 15, 2014 with the theme of Economic Development and Social Welfare. This research is a qualitative descriptive with content analysis study. The data of this research are (1) expressive speech act in 2014 presidential debate and (2) commissive speech act in 2014 presidential debate. The source of research data is the 2014 presidential candidate debate in the form of speech acts expressed by the 2014 Republican Presidential candidate in the debate. The findings of this research are the speech act illocution in the form of expressive speech acts and commissive speech acts used in every speech of the two presidential candidates at the 2014 presidential debate. Abstract

AbstractBuku Limau Island is located in Bangka Belitung Province, there have only kindergarten and elementary school level which available in the island. Those facilities support educational activities so that many of them have no formal education and educational support facilities in the form of a library which provided sources of information as a medium for student learning is also not sufficient because there are less organized and the number of sources of books available, which triggers a lack of interest in reading students. The method was used an individual approach carried out in groups into three parts (edu-support team, motivation team, and counseling team). The activities was found several results from three aspects: (1) Motivation Team, found the level of interest of students towards different learning; (2) The Counseling Team was formed a youth organization to organize the Buku Limau Island community activities, such as competitions, routine recitation, mutual cooperation, etc.; (3) Edu-Support Team, improvement of 3 educational facilities, there were school library, village reading park, and public space. Keywords:buku limau, belitung, abdimas AbstrakPulau Buku Limau merupakan salah satu gugusan pulau di Desa Buku Limau, Kecamatan Manggar, Kabupaten Belitung Timur, hanya terdapat PAUD dan SD yang terdapat di Pulau Buku Limau yang menunjang kegiatan pendidikan sehingga banyak dari mereka kurang mengenyam pendidikan secara formal dan fasilitas penunjang pendidikan berupa perpustakaan yang memberikan sumber informasi sebagai media pembelajaran siswa juga tidak cukup memadai karena kurang tertata dan jumlah sumber buku yang tersedia sehingga memicu kurangnya minat baca siswa.Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan secara individual yang dilaksanakan berkelompok menjadi tiga bagian (tim edu-support, tim motivasi, dan tim bimbingan konseling). Ditemukan beberapa hasil dari tiga aspek: (1) Tim Motivasi, ditemukan tingkat minat siswa terhadap pembelajaran yang berbeda-beda; (2) Tim Konseling, membentuk organisasi remaja karang taruna guna menggerakkan kegiatan bermasyarakat Pulau Buku Limau, seperti lomba-lomba, pengajian rutin, gotong royong, dan lain sebagainya; (3) Tim Edu-Support, perbaikan 3 sarana pendidikan yaitu perpustakaan sekolah, taman baca desa, dan lapangan serbaguna. Kata kunci: buku limau, belitung, abdimas,

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan mengaji kesalahan berbahasa pada penulisan tugas mata kuliah universitas (MKU) mahasiswa pembelajaran online learning Universitas Esa Unggul masa pandemi Covid-19. Proses kerja penelitian kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Data penelitian ini adalah tugas mahasiswa pada tiga mata kuliah univeritas: Bahasa Indonesia, Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan, dan Agama Islam. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah tugas mahasiswa pada online learning semester ganjil 2020 masa pandemi Covid-19. Temuan penelitian ini berupa (1) kesalahan penulisan konjungsi, (2) kesalahan penulisan huruf kapital, (3) kesalahan penggunaan tanda baca, dan (4) kesalahan penulisan kata baku. Kegunaan dari penelitian ini selain untuk menambah wawasan bagi khalayak umum juga sebagai pertimbangan materi ajar bagi perguruan tinggi dan menengah.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pengembangan Tindak Tutur Ilokusi dalam Aktivitas Pembelajaran Dosen Pengampu Pelaksana Mata Kuliah Universitas (PAMU) Universitas Esa Unggul Jakarta merupakan penelitian kebahasaan yang dilakukan oleh dosen pengampu mata kuliah Bahasa Indonesia dan Bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini berfokus pada tindak tutur (speech act) yang ada pada penyampaian materi yang disampaikan oleh Dosen Pengampu Pelaksana Mata Kuliah Universitas (PAMU) Universitas Esa Unggul Jakarta, yang tergolong sebagai dosen baru atau pemula (tahun pertama). Roadmap penelitian ini berlangsung selama 1 tahun dengan perluasan cakupan wilayah objek penelitian bila dilanjutkan dalam  3 tahun ke depan. Penelitian ini merupakan analisis isi dari pendekatan kualitatif dari data berupa tindak tutur asertif, direktif, ekspresif, komisif, dan deklaratif dalam penuturan dosen pemula pada aktivitas pembelajaran di Universitas Esa Unggul Jakarta yang menjadi sumber penelitian sehingga dikatakan temuan penelitian ini adalah tindak tutur ilokusi pada dosen pemula pengampu Pelaksana Mata Kuliah Umum (PAMU). Hasil luaran dari penelitian ini diharapakan berupa jurnal publikasi dan buku sebagai pengantar tentang tindak tutur yang digunakan dalam aktivitas pembelajaran bagi dosen pemula (tahun pertama) mengajar di Universitas Esa Unggul Jakarta.Kata Kunci: tindak tutur, dosen, pembelajaran, bahasaABSTRACTThe Development of the Illocusion Speech Act in Learning Activities of the  Lecturers who teach the General Subjects at PAMU Esa Unggul University Jakarta” is a language research which is done by the bahasa Indonesia and English lecturers. This research is focused on speech act which is used to share the materials by the lecturers from PAMU (Pengampu Pelaksana Mata Kuliah Universitas) Universitas Esa Unggul Jakarta. It is focused on the new lecturers or beginner lecturers (1st year). The Roadmap research is for 1 year which is included to the object research that can be continued for next three years.  This research is the content analysis to the qualitative method from collecting data such as the assertive, directive, commissive, expressive, declarative speech acts related to the lecturers speech in the learning activities from Esa Unggul University so the research will find the research in illocution speech act from the beginner lecturers of PAMU.Hopely, the output of this research will be in a publication journal and reference book about the speech act in the learning activities for the beginner lecturers (first year) at Esa Unggul University Jakarta.  Keywords: speech act, lecturers, learning process, language

Abstract

Integration and the practice of addressing real-world issues are crucial components of STEM education. In this study, which was conducted as part of an endeavor to boost students' and instructors' knowledge and interest in STEM education, existing STEM courses have been incorporated into the Indonesian curriculum requirements in order to address real-world problems. This article gives a description of the planning process for after-school STEM education programs, with a focus on significant global issues related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At the junior high school level, the present curriculum requirements for all three STEM subjects will be integrated. Document analysis is the principal means of data collection. This consists of the standard papers of three distinct STEM fields, curriculum maps developed for schools, and documents pertaining to "Continuing Development Education." Four possible design problems are inspired by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These challenges blend standards selected from three distinct STEM domains and include several new interconnected concepts and skills. This description offers a way by which educators may be supported in the production of lessons or other equivalent STEM educational programs or activities by integrating curricular requirements with existing STEM disciplines for many levels and settings relevant to students.

Abstract

The security crisis in West Papua is getting hotter in recent days, although the escalation of the conflict is sometimes high and sometimes low. The shooting of TNI officers assigned there is often the target of gunfire by armed criminal groups in West Papua, as well as innocent local people who are also victims of these incidents. So, it is necessary to hold a mutual peace agreement to reduce losses due to shooting incidents. The crisis communication strategy is considered to be a solution to produce a peace agreement between Kopassus as an institution that represents the Indonesian government and the armed groups or OPM (Free Papua Organization) in West Papua. The crisis communication strategy is considered appropriate to be carried out in the midst of two parties who have different thoughts.

Abstract

Community service activities organized by LPPM Esa Unggul University are carried out using webinars. This activity is a means of sharing knowledge for students of the Faculty of Computer Science regarding final assignments. The Final Assignment is a routine activity at the end of the semester carried out by students and their supervisors at the beginning of the preparation stage. Support for the final project concept can provide opportunities for students with their supervisors to hold discussions to find solutions to the problems of the research topics to be taken. In this abdimas scientific forum webinar, it was held to build concepts and technical applications in writing the final project for students of the Faculty of Computer Science. The result of this community service is to provide an overview of computer science faculty students in building concepts both in terms of application, methodology and writing procedures that are useful for preparing the final project. The Webinar presented several techniques and practices in making applications including: Introduction to Mobile Application Concepts and Methods, Data Management with Machine Learning, Compilation of Engineering Requirements and Creating Websites using the Code Igniter (CI) Framework. From the webinar material, it can help students explore topics and final project research concepts that will be carried out by students during the preparation of the Final Project.

Abstract

Artikel ilmiah merupakan salah satu aktivitas yang tidak terlepas dari kegiatan berbahasa. Notabennya ejaan dalam penulisan artikel ilmiah juga menjadi sorotan kajian sesuai dengan Peraturan Kementerian Kebudayaan Nomor 50 tahun 2015 yaitu Pedoman Umum Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia (PUEBI) yang mana terdapat empat, yaitu (1) pemakaian huruf, (2) penulisan kata, (3) pemakaian tanda baca, dan (4) penulisan unsur serapan. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini untuk mengkaji kesalahan berbahasa pada penulisan artikel ilmiah mahasiswa. Peneliti menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa data-data dan perilaku yang diamati menggunakan teks secara detil dan secara mendasar penelitian kualitatif memiliki dua tujuan: (1) menggambarkan dan mengungkapkan (to describe and explore), dan (2) menggambarkan dan menjelaskan (to describe and explain). Peneliti juga menggunakan pendekatan analisis isi. Disimpulkan banyaknya kesalahan berbahasa yang dilakukan dalam penulisan artikel ilmiah mahasiswa
