Abstract

Abstrak: Keterbatasan bahan bacaan yang menarik dan sesuai dengan konteks lokal menjadi tantangan utama dalam meningkatkan literasi membaca di SDN Sie, Kabupaten Bima. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat kapasitas guru dalam mengembangkan buku cerita anak berbasis Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) yang terintegrasi dengan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal Bima. Kegiatan melibatkan 20 orang guru sebagai peserta dan dilaksanakan melalui tiga pendekatan, yaitu pelatihan, pendampingan, dan pengembangan produk. Evaluasi capaian kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui pretest dan postet. Indikator keberhasilannya secara klasikal apanila 50% mencapai kategori tuntas. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan menulis yang signifikan. Rata-rata skor pretest sebesar 4,55 (SD = 1,57) menjadi 8,45 (SD = 1,28) pada posttest, dengan rata-rata kenaikan 3,9 poin. Seluruh peserta menunjukkan peningkatan, dan 70% di antaranya berhasil mencapai kategori tuntas. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini dinyatakan berhasil mencapai tujuan yang ditetapkan. Produk berupa buku cerita anak berbasis kearifan lokal yang dihasilkan diharapkan dapat berfungsi sebagai bahan bacaan yang lebih menarik, kontekstual, dan relevan untuk meningkatkan budaya literasi di sekolah dasar, khususnya di wilayah Bima.Abstract: The limited availability of engaging reading materials relevant to the local context remains a major challenge in improving reading literacy at SDN Sie, Bima Regency. This community service program aimed to strengthen teachers’ capacity in developing children’s storybooks based on the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach, integrated with Bima’s local wisdom values. The activity involved 20 teachers as participants and was implemented through three approaches: training, mentoring, and product development. Evaluation of program outcomes was carried out using pretest and posttest instruments. The indicator of success was determined classically, in which the program was considered successful if at least 50% of participants achieved the mastery category. The implementation results indicated a significant improvement in writing skills. The average pretest score of 4.55 (SD = 1.57) increased to 8.45 (SD = 1.28) in the posttest, with an average gain of 3.9 points. All participants showed improvement, and 70% successfully reached the mastery category. Therefore, the program was declared successful in achieving its intended goals. The resulting product, a children’s storybook integrating local wisdom, is expected to serve as a more engaging, contextual, and relevant reading material to promote literacy culture in elementary schools, particularly in the Bima region.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kelompok tani di salah satu wilayah perkotaan Kalimantan Tengah menghadapi permasalahan rendahnya nilai jual nanas segar, khususnya buah berukuran kecil, akibat ketergantungan pada tengkulak dan minimnya pengolahan pascapanen. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan nilai tambah nanas melalui pengembangan produk Tepache berprobiotik sebagai minuman fermentasi fungsional. Kegiatan dilaksanakan kepada 20 orang anggota kelompok tani melalui tahapan penyuluhan, praktik pembuatan produk, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Evaluasi keberhasilan dilakukan menggunakan metode pretest–posttest berbasis kuesioner untuk mengukur peningkatan pemahaman peserta. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai rerata pemahaman dari 75 pada pretest menjadi 80 pada posttest. Selain itu, peserta mampu memproduksi Tepache berprebiotik secara mandiri serta memahami dasar pengemasan dan pemasaran produk. Kegiatan ini berkontribusi pada peningkatan kapasitas petani, penguatan ekonomi lokal, dan pemanfaatan sumber daya pertanian secara berkelanjutan.Abstract: Farmer groups in an urban area of Central Kalimantan face low market value of fresh pineapples, particularly small-sized fruits, due to dependence on middlemen and limited postharvest processing. This community service program aimed to increase pineapple value through the development of probiotic Tepache as a functional fermented beverage. The program involved 20 farmer group members and was conducted through counseling sessions, hands-on production practice, mentoring, and evaluation. Program effectiveness was assessed using a pretest–posttest questionnaire to measure participants’ knowledge improvement. The results showed an increase in the average score from 75 in the pretest to 80 in the posttest. Participants were able to independently produce probiotic Tepache and gained basic understanding of product packaging and marketing. Overall, this activity enhanced farmers’ capacity, supported local economic empowerment, and promoted sustainable utilization of agricultural resources.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan produktivitas pascapanen rumput laut melalui penerapan teknologi tepat guna berbasis sistem penarik dan perontok otomatis. Mitra pada kegiatan ini yakni Kelompok Tani Rumput Laut Pasampa Katonik yang beranggotakan 20 orang. Permasalahan utama mitra adalah proses penarikan dan perontokan rumput laut yang masih dilakukan secara manual, membutuhkan waktu lama, tenaga kerja banyak, dan menurunkan kualitas hasil panen. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi survei kebutuhan mitra, perancangan dan pembuatan alat berbasis motor listrik berdaya rendah, pelatihan operasional dan perawatan alat, serta uji coba lapangan dengan pendekatan partisipatif serta sistem evalusia pada kegiatan yang sudah dilaksanakan. Indikator keberhasilan pada kegiatan ini yakni, alat penarik dan perontok otomatis mampu mengurangi waktu kerja hingga 80% dalam hal memisahkan rumput laut dari tali bentangan, menurunkan kebutuhan tenaga kerja sebesar 60% dan meningkatkan kebersihan hasil panen hingga 95%. Selain itu, berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan teknis petani dalam mengoperasikan dan memelihara alat secara mandiri. Kegiatan ini terbukti efektif meningkatkan produktivitas, efisiensi kerja, serta kemandirian kelompok tani dalam pengelolaan rumput laut pasca panen.Abstract: This community service program aims to improve the efficiency and productivity of post-harvest seaweed processing through the application of appropriate technology in the form of an automatic seaweed pulling and threshing machine for the Seaweed Farmers Group in Bassiang Timur Village, Ponrang Selatan District, Luwu Regency. The main problem faced by the partner community is the traditional manual method of pulling and threshing seaweed, which requires considerable time and labor, leading to reduced quality and productivity. The implementation method involved a needs assessment, the design and fabrication of a low-power electric motor–based device, training on operation and maintenance, and field trials using a participatory approach. The results indicated that the automatic pulling and threshing tool reduced working time by up to 80%, decreased labor requirements by 60%, and improved product cleanliness to 95%. Moreover, the training activities successfully enhanced farmers’ technical competence and independence in operating and maintaining the equipment. This activity effectively increased productivity, work efficiency, and technological independence among local seaweed farmers. The introduced innovation is expected to be replicated by other coastal farmer groups in the Luwu Raya region to support blue economy development and the strengthening of community-based maritime industries.

Abstract

Abstrak: Transformasi pembelajaran berbasis teknologi menuntut guru bahasa Inggris memiliki literasi digital dan kemampuan memanfaatkan kecerdasan buatan (AI) dalam pengembangan perangkat ajar. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas guru dalam menyusun modul ajar, media pembelajaran, dan asesmen digital berbasis AI. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi analisis kebutuhan, pelatihan terstruktur, pendampingan praktik, dan evaluasi kegiatan. Peserta berjumlah 28 yang terdiri dari guru bahasa Inggris jenjang SD/MI, SMP/MTs, SMA/MA, serta calin guru. Evaluasi keberhasilan kegiatan dilakukan melalui kuesioner pra dan pasca pelatihan untuk mengukur peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dalam pemanfaatan AI. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata kompetensi peserta dari 56% menjadi 88% pada aspek literasi AI. Selain itu, peserta melaporkan peningkatan efisiensi waktu dalam penyusunan perangkat ajar serta dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Kegiatan ini menunjukan bahwa pelatihan berbasis AI efektif dalam mendukung pengembangan profesional guru dan implementasi kurikulum merdeka maupun pembelajaran berdampak. Abstract: Technology-driven learning transformation requires English teachers to possess digital literacy and the ability to utilize artificial intelligence (AI) in developing instructional materials. This community service program aimed to enhance teachers’ capacity to design AI-based teaching modules, instructional media, and digital assessments. The implementation method comprised needs analysis, structured training, guided practice, and program evaluation. The participants consisted of 28 individuals, including English teachers from elementary, junior high, and senior high schools, as well as prospective teachers. Program effectiveness was evaluated through pre- and post-training questionnaires to measure improvements in participants’ knowledge and skills in utilizing AI. The evaluation results indicate an average increase in participants’ competencies from 56% to 88% in AI literacy, the development of AI-based teaching modules using Magic School, the creation of interactive instructional media using Gamma, and the design of gamified digital assessments through Quizizz AI. In addition, participants reported improved time efficiency in preparing instructional materials and increased student learning motivation. These findings demonstrate that AI-based training is effective in supporting teachers’ professional development and the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum.
