Abstract

This study aims to determine the student's ability to write poetry before using the technique of out door and after using the technique out door. The object of this research is class VIII SMPN 8 F Bandar lampung year 2013/2014. Data collection techniques performed through three times the test is the first test done free writing poems in class, second and third test write poetry using the technique out door individually (test 2) and in groups (test 3).The result showed that in the first test when the students write poetry in the classroom, students are less passionate and as difficult to find the words to be poetry. In the second and third tests students taken out of class, the students began to seem pleased to observe something that is in front of his eyes. Students began to write with passion. Like wise, in the third test, students seem more excited because they equate with a theme of words with a friend group. Then revealed his imagination in the form of poetry.The results of the third test is the percentage of the average value of the first test at 72.57, the average value of the second test 80 and the average value of the third test, namely 85.33 So, the difference between the first and second test is 7.43 percent, the difference between the second and third tests, namely 5.33 percent. Thus the use of techniques out door can improve the ability to write poetry in class VIII SMP Negeri 8 F Bandarlampung.

Abstract

Civic education is a subject that focuses on the formation of themselves as citizens who are intelligent, skilled, and character. An educator should seek and use the learning model that can foster the creativity of learners and be able to build itself into a creative learners, and therefore in need pemebelajaran models that can foster the creativity of learners.In an effort to foster the creativity of learners, the researchers conducted a study class action. Of the many existing learning model learning model portfolio is a model appropriate learning in an effort to foster the creativity of learners. This is evident in the increase in the creativity of the participants in each cycle. In the first cycle, students who have creativity as much as 20 or 59%. Cycle II students who have creativity as much as 24 or 71%. Cycle III students use creativity as many as 29 people or as much as 85%, the third cycle of growth creativity of learners have achieved the expected indicators ie ≥ 75%. The results showed that the use of the learning model portfolio to foster the creativity of learners.

Abstract

The purpose of teaching and learning English as foreign language is to enable the students to communicate in English both in readers forms in real communication and understand the foreign culture. There are skill that should be learnt by the student, they are listening, reading, writing and speaking. The students of the eleventh class should be able to master vocabulary and comprehend news item. In achieving the goal of curriculum, there are many students find difficult. They also make errors when they comprehend news item. It means that vocabulary is very important for the students to learn English.The objective of this research is to know and describe the students’ vocabulary mastery and their ability in comprehending news item and to know describe the correlation between students’ vocabulary mastery and their ability in comprehending news item. In taking the sample of the research, the writer used stratified proportional random sampling technique because the student’s ability was heterogeneous. The population of the research is all the first semester in the eleventh class at SMAN 1 Tanjung Bintang Lampung Selatan. The writer took one class from seven classes and the class consisted of 37 class students. In collecting the data, the writer used objective test that were multiple choice, consisted of 50 items. In this research, product moment formula was used to analyze the data of the research.Based on the result of the research showed rcount = 0.670 is higher than rtable = 0.630 by n =37, there was correlation between vocabulary mastery and comprehending news item. < (1-a) (k-3), n=37 there was significant correlation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk bahan ajar menulis berbasis nilai-nilai kearifan lokal untuk SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Tulang Bawang Tengah kelas VII Semester Ganjil. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Research and Development (R&D) dengan tiga tahapan utama. 1) studi pendahuluan diperoleh informasi awal tentang kondisi objektif pembelajaran, kebutuhan, dan prinsip-prinsip pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis nilai-nilai kearifan lokal. 2) mengembangkan produk berupa desain awal, penilaian sejawat, uji ahli, uji skala kecil, dan uji skala luas. Revisi produk pengembangan dilakukan berdasarkan masukan-masukan dari setiap penilaian atau uji yang dilakukan. 3) Hasil uji efektivitas produk di SMP Muhammadiyah 1 TBT menunjukkan peningkatkan kualitas hasil belajar, kualitas pembelajaran, dan penanaman nilai-nilai kearifan lokal. Perbandingan rata-rata skor pretest dan posttest tampak nyata menunjukkan peningkatan, analisis indeks gain menunjukkan kategori sedang. Temuan dalam penelitian ini berguna bagi guru, siswa, dan SMP Muhammadiyah 1 TBT sebagai referensi pengembangan Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan (KTSP).

Abstract

The emergence of quality educational institutions that are needed by the community in the midst of turmoil the world of education today. In this context, emerged the concept of a unified Islamic education, the concept of integrated education is assumed to be able to answer the problems of religious education and general education. Integrated Islamic education is expected to put the commitment to pave the way to build a quality education to seek to integrate the values of science and scientific religion common to expect mempu form of building strong and effective education. This study includes a descriptive study, the research describes the condition in the field with what it is. This type of research used in this research is the field (fild reseach) is the research by examining the facts and issues in the field. The research in the field is MI Nurul select Emigrants City State. The subjects were MI Nurul Emigrants City State. Data analysis technique is essentially qualitative procedures deductive-inductive logic. The process of data analysis begins by examining all the data collected from various sources, from interviews, observations that have been written in the field notes, personal documents, official documents, and so on.Curriculum developed by MI Nurul Muhajirin City State uses a combination of two curriculum curriculum namely general education curriculum nationally and religious education curriculum designed by MI Nurul Muhajirin City State Concept teaching and learning perspective of the Qur'an that diimplentasikan integrative manner students read over and over again, studying, reciting, memorizing and practicing the subject matter presented by the teacher. Teachers motivate students to straighten out the intent of the learning process and learning, and teachers are required to be exemplary, sincere, and patient in educating students

Abstract

Enforcement Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan (KTSP) led subjects Pancasila and Citizenship Education (Civics) undergoes many changes that the charge material contained many concepts and no longer contains normative. In addition, usually only educators determine the materials and methods of teaching so that students' activity is limited to listening, recording, and answered questions. To overcome these problems, the authors conducted a classroom action research (PTK) in SMPN 14 Bandar Lampung in August-September 2011 through inquiry learning model. The object of this study were students of class IX-5 of 40 people. PTK includes the following activities: (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. PTK data collection techniques through observation, interviews, documentation, and testing. The data analysis using descriptive analysis while data validation using data triangulation technique. The result showed that the inquiry learning model can improve learning outcomes Civics amounted to 24.4%, which is calculated based on average scores on the observation during the PTK in research.

Abstract

This research entitled “Slang Remaja „Ghana‟ di Kota Kepahiang Propoinsi Bengkulu (Suatu Kajian Sosiolinguistik)” aimed to describe the slang expression form in Ghana community, to describe the forming of slang in Ghana community, to describe semantic meaning relation of slang in Ghana community, and to describe the function of using slang in Ghana community.This research is sociolinguistic research. In collecting the data, the researcher used listening method with recording technique, and interviewing method with noting technique. In analyzing the data, the researcher used correlation and distribution method. The result of the research is delivered informally.The result of the research showed that slang in Ghana community is in the form of word and phrase. The form of word is divided into five categories; those are noun, verb, adjective, pronoun, and numerals. Besides, the form of word is also divided into derivational word that includes reduplication. Slang in the form of phrase is divided into two categories; those are noun phrase and adjective phrase. There are three types of forming slang in Ghana community, (1) the forming of slang without any changed from the original words, (2) the forming of slang by using abbreviation, and (3) the forming of slang by using new words. The semantic meaning relation of slang in Ghana community is divided into five semantic meaning; those are synonymy, homonymy, polysemy, metaphor, and unidentified meaning of slang. There are five functions of using slang in Ghana community, (1) the using of slang for close relationship, (2) the using of slang for politeness or euphemism, (3) the using of slang for secrecy, (4) the using of slang for allusion and (5) the using of slang to express the feeling.

Abstract

The research consists of two variables, the independent variable and dependent variable. Independent variable is reading technique (skimming-scanning) and dependent variable is reading comprehension achievement on narrative text. The objectives of this research is to find out whether there is influence of reading technique (skimming-scanning) on reading comprehension achievement on narrative text.The research method applied is quasi experiment design, it means that the research after the fact. The instrument that is used to collect data is objective test. It consists of 60 items before try out and then after try out only 30 items which have good validity and reliability are used. The population in this research was all first grade students of MAN 18 Pondok Kopi, consisting of 101 students divided in 3 classes. Of these three classes, two of which were used as samples: experiment and control class, respectively consisting of 35 and 31 students. The sampling method is cluster random sampling.The data collected from the samples were then analyzed statistically with t-test, after the data fulfilled the pre requisite tests of normality and homogeneity. The two samples come from normality distribution population since both significances were higher than 0,05, namely 0,119 > 0,05 and 0,179 > 0,05 and thus the H0 is accepted. The homogeneity tests applied to both samples revealed that the variance of the two samples were homogenous: 0.445 > 0,05 for experiment class and 0,245 > 0,05 for control class.The result of statistical calculating using significant 5% (0,05) of t-test with degree of freedom (df) = N1+N2-2 = 66 revealed that sig < 0,05 (0,00 < 0,05). Based on this, the research rejected the null hypothesis (H0) and accepted the alternative hypothesis (H1). Therefore, there is influence of reading technique (skimming-scanning) on reading comprehension achievement on narrative text of the first grade students’ at MAN 18 Pondok Kopi, East Jakarta.

Abstract

This research aims to improve and enhance learning basic motion Kayang in class V in SD Negeri 5 Sumberrejo 2013/2014 school year, with the help of a friend, a support wall and assistance gymball.This type of research is classroom action research (Classroom Action Research) using three cycles. While the research subjects are students of class IV which amounts to 26 students, consisting of 16 men and 10 women. The data collection techniques with basic motion assessment scale observation Kayang.The results showed: that the first appraisal cycle with the use of methods of learning basic movement Kayang assisted with friends gained mastery learning success percentage 26.92%, while 44.93% effectiveness rate means the action has not been effective. In the second cycle of the basic motion Kayang learning methods with the help of the wall acquired mastery learning success percentage 46.16%, while 49.80% effectiveness rate means the action has not been effective. In the third cycle with the basic motion Kayang learning methods with the aid of gymball gained mastery learning success percentage 84.61%, with 78.07% effectiveness rate calculation. From the results of this study concluded that the learning material in particular floor gymnastics basic movements Kayang with tools to improve and enhance the basic motion Kayang the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 5 Sumberejo Kemiling.

Abstract

The issues discussed in this research is the analysis of verbalistis by gender, with sample language differences among male and female students at the University PGRI Palembang. Based on the data, the results are as follows: (1) The use of sound and intonation (P: 50% and W: 50%); (2) the intensity of talk (P 30% and W: 70%); (3) skill in verbalistis (P 30% and W: 70%); (4) observation (P: 50% and W: 50%); (5) competitive and cooperative (P 50% and W: 70%); (6) Miscommunication (P: 50% and W: 50%). From the data, it was concluded the following. (1) The issue of language and communication is more important for women than men because women more often speak of the men. (2) The purpose of men in the use of language tends about getting something, whereas women tend to be about making relationships with others. More men are talking about data and facts, while more women are talking about people, feelings, and relationships between people. (3) Women are more verbally skilled compared to men. (4) The difference often leads to "miscommunication" between women and men. (5) The way men use language to be competitive in obtaining and maintaining the status. How to use the language of women are cooperative, reflecting their preference for equality and harmony.
