Abstract

The population of this research is the eighth grade students of State Junior High School 3 of Palembang consisted of 231 students. a convenience sample is a group of ndividuals who (conveniently) are available for study for VIII.4 consisted 37 students. Finally, the data finding in the pre-test was 77.22, after the treatment being conducted and the written test as in the post-test had been repeated, the students score was 79.9. Based on the calculation of the match t-test was higher than the critical of t value the data showed that the calculation of the match t-test was 6.56. It means that the null hypothesis was rejected and consequently alternative hypothesis was accepted. In other words teaching writing through story map to the eighth grade students of state junior high school 3 of Palembang was effective toincrease the students’ writing.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is influence of the use Media Movies on learning outcomes IPS students. The data collection was done by using the test as the principal method, as well as complementary techniques using interviews, observation, and literature. In analyzing the data, the writer used t-test formula it is obtained t hit = 3,87, while for significant level of 5% for t daf = 2,00 and while for significant t daf = 2,66. It can be concluded that thit = 3.87> 2.00 and 3.87> 2.66. It can be concluded there is influence by using the medium of film to the learning outcomes in class VII MTs. Al-Falah Muncak 2016-2017 school year with an average value in the experimental class is X1 = 76.2, while those not using Media Film X2 reached a value of 61.8.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve assertive behavior of fourth grade of Elementary School students who are victims of bullying by using counseling SPICC models. The method used in this study is an experimental research using a quasi-experimental design. Data collection technique used is assertive behavior questionnaire. Samples are taken from the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Kelapa Tujuh obtained by using purposive sampling technique. Data are analyzed using ttest to compare the average gain score of assertive behavior of the fourth grade students who are being bullied in SDN 1 Kelapa Tujuh before (pretest)and after receiving treatment (posttest). The result is that the assertive behavior level of students is in middle category and shows an average difference of 0.35 points between pretest and posttest. It means that SPICC counseling models is effective to improve assertive behavior at the fourth grade students who are being bullied in SDN 1 Kelapa Tujuh in the academic year of 2012/2013.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine whereas mind mapping influence students reading comprehension grade VII at SMP Negeri 1 Mesuji Makmur. This study uses an experimental method. Data collection techniques is used in this study are engineering test and documentation, while the data analysis technique used is the t-test calculation. Based on the research that has been conducted using mind mapping models, the value of the average grade of 79.1 experimental class is greater than the average value of the control class is 67, 15. Hypothesis test obtain that t = 5.66, where t is higher than table = 1.99 so it can be concluded that there is an effect of Mind Mapping against Reading Comprehension ability Seventh Grade Students of SMP Negeri 1 Mesuji Makmur.

Abstract

The researcher takes the data from fifth semester students’ composition. Based on the analysis, the researcher found three types of learners’ errors, namely grammatical errors, lexical errors, and word order errors. Grammatical errors include simple predicate missing: be, failure to attach –s, article missing, do auxiliary: underuse in negative sentence, singular and plural markers, misusing pronouns, possessive case incorrect: omission of ‘s, inappropriate preposition . Lexical errors include formal errors and semantic errors, and word order errors include misordering noun and adjective. The highest frequency of errors lies on the use of pronouns in writings. The errors may come from two possible causes; they are limited L2 environment and limited L2 performance.

Abstract

The result of the structure analysis are coherent and logical because every element are related. Struggle of the main character to help his friends in school is a major theme in the story. The characterizations according to the function as protagonist and antagonist were articulated and make the story. Vivid progressive plot desain by using the sequence and causality relationship make the reader easier in understanding the storyline. Description of the background further strengthen the plot and characterization. Description of the social background display state at the time. The use of first-person perspective makes the reader feel as if directlyinvolved in the story. Style of language used increasingly beautify the course of the story, attract more the reader’s attention. Background of Javanese society in the story related to moral values, which are the moral values to one self, the moral values to other people, and the moral values to God, reflected by the charactersso it looks that the author wants to show the principle of Java in his work. Analysis of Orang Miskin Dilarang Sekolah novel can fulfill the main competence of curriculum. Structure analysis of the novel can increase student’s knowledge of how to analyze the structure of novel and improve their language skill.

Abstract

The Objective of this study is to describe students‟ syntactical errors in translation at SMA Olaraga Negeri Sriwijaya Palembang. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive. Students‟ translations are collected and then selected purposively by considering the completeness of the translated text component. Techniques used in analyzing the data are, (1) coding the corpus, (2) identifying errors linguistics, especially syntactic errors are found in the corpus; (3) to classifying syntactic errors in the work of translation; After analyzing the data collected, it was found that there are four types of translation error. Those errors are omission error, addition error, disordering errors and substitution error. These errors are typically influenced by the first language or mother tongue which is applied in a second language and also the competence of the students absorb the material given by the teacher.

Abstract

The background of this research was that because there were many errors in writing capital letter written by the seventh class students in SMPN 2 Cikarang Pusat when they were writing a narrative essay. This study aims to determine the level of capitalization error on a narrative essay class VII SMPN 2 Cikarang Pusat. The method used in this research is the description method and observation method. The use of capital letters addressed in this research is the level of accuracy in using capitalization based on PUEBI. The result shows that the level of accuracy in using capitalization based on PUEBI generally are at a level of good enough (41-60) precisely 58.2% corresponding to PUEBI.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Smash basic ability in Volleyball Game using Games Method in Extracurricular Students of SMAN 1 Kedung Waringin. Based on the research results and the results of statistical calculations to the hypothesis testing, it is obtained that initial results obtained Smash Ability Test score number is 2999, the average score is 99.97, standard deviation is 12.93 and varian standard is 167.27 while the final test score number is 3709, the average score is 123.63, a standard deviation is 15.02 and variant standar is 225.55, and to increase the number of earned value is 710, average score is 23.67 standard deviation is 27.95 and variants is 5.29. Smash basic ability in Volleyball Game using Game Method in Extracurricular Students of SMAN 1 Kedung Waringin increases after being treated Using Games Method. This is evidenced by the test results showing the significance of the results, that is t cal (24.40) > t table (1.70).

Abstract

This study aims to describe the influence of students’ attitudes on Indonesian subjects towards students’ ability in writing argumentative essay. The method used to carry out this research is to associative method. This method examines the effect of the two variables. In this method, the attitude of students in Indonesian subject is as free variables and the ability to write the argumentative essay is as the dependent variable. After doing research on the influence of students’ attitudes on Indonesian subjects towards students’ ability in writing argumentative essay at class X of SMA PGRI 4 Jakarta through associative method, finally the author can draw the conclusion that is the attitude of the students on the subjects of Indonesian had significant influence students’ ability in writing argumentative essay at class X of SMA PGRI 4 Jakarta, as evidenced by the acquisition value of the correlation (r) of 0.322.
