Abstract

This study aims to explain the factors associated with foot deformity in people with type 2 diabetes. This study used a descriptive-analytic method with a cross-sectional design. The results showed that the aspects related to the incidence of foot deformity were education (P=0.022; OR=4.57), body mass index (BMI) (P=0.035; OR=0.23), and knowledge (P=0.001). ; OR = 9.17), while the factors of age (P = 0.22) and gender (P = 0.712) were not associated with the incidence of foot deformity. In conclusion, the knowledge factor is a factor that can influence nine times more strongly the incidence of foot deformity in people with type 2 DM compared to other factors. Abstract

This study aims to see how the role of officers in the implementation of early initiation of breastfeeding (IMD) and coverage of IMD in newborns. The method used is quantitative with a descriptive analysis approach. The results showed that the role of nurses and midwives in the implementation of IMD was included in the category with the mean score of 95.39. The IMD success rate is also included in the high category with an average score of 93.75. In conclusion, the role of nurses and midwives in the implementation of IMD is in the good category and the success of IMD is also in the high category. Abstract

This study aims to compare the effectiveness of unilateral ROM and bilateral ROM exercises to increase muscle strength in post-hospitalized clients with hemiparesis due to ischemic stroke. The research method used is a quasi experimental two group pre and post test design. The results showed that there was an effect of both groups on increasing muscle strength with a p-value of 0.000, in conclusion, bilateral ROM exercises had a higher impact on increasing muscle strength compared to unilateral ROM exercises. Abstract

This study aims to explore the experiences of COVID-19 patients treated at the Wisma Atlet COVID-19 Emergency Hospital. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method with thematic analysis methods. This study showed that there were 2 participants with suspected cases and 5 participants with confirmed cases, while the age of participants was between 26 to 54 years. The participants' occupations are four employees, two medical personnel, and one civil servant with an average quarantine time of 14 to 38 days of care. In conclusion, This study resulted in 6 themes, namely: changes experienced by patients when diagnosed with COVID-19, changes experienced by the family and environment of family members diagnosed with COVID-19, sources of information for treatment, attitudes of health workers who carry out treatment, description of patient feelings. while being treated, the hope of COVID-19 patients being treated at the Wisma Atlet RSDC. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of auditory stimulus therapy using murotal on changes in vital signs in acute phase stroke patients. This research is a Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) with the single-blind method and parallel design without matching. The results of statistical tests using the T-test to determine the difference in the mean decrease in the five vital signs showed that there was a decrease in the average pain scale, blood pressure, and heart rate in the intervention group, which was more significant than the control group (p-value < 0,05). In conclusion, auditory stimulation therapy using murotal significantly reduces pain scale, blood pressure, and heart rate in acute phase stroke patients. Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between postpartum depression and the motivation of exclusive breastfeeding for the first month of infants. This research is observational research with a cross-sectional study design with a quantitative approach. The study results using the Mann Whitney test, the significance value indicated a p-value of 0.000. In conclusion, there is a relationship between postpartum depression and mothers' motivation in exclusive breastfeeding in the first month. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of giving brown rice (Oryza nivara) and black rice (Oryza Sativa L. Indica) to changes in blood glucose levels in people with diabetes mellitus in Kendari City. This research method was carried out with a quasi-experimental design with a pre-post test design test. The results of the study on checking blood glucose levels before and after giving brown rice (Oryza nivara) and black rice (Oryza sativa L. indica) within one week obtained P-Value = 0.000 from P-Value <0.05, while in comparison between brown rice (Oryza nivara) and black rice (Oryza sativa L. indica) on changes in blood glucose in people with diabetes mellitus in Kendari City obtained P-Value = 0.19 from P-Value < 0.05. In conclusion, there is an effect of giving red rice (Oryza nivara) and black rice (Oryza sativa L. indica) on changes in blood glucose in people with diabetes mellitus in Kendari City. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of music therapy in reducing anxiety in cancer patients. The research method is a literature review using five databases, namely PubMed, ProQuest, Science Direct, Clinicalkey, and Google Scholar, using keywords based on PICO. The results showed that the five articles analyzed all articles reported that music therapy effectively reduced anxiety in cancer patients. Music has psychological, physical, social, and spiritual effects that can increase support for cancer patient care, improve mood, and improve the quality of life of cancer patients to provide nursing interventions to reduce anxiety. In conclusion, music therapy is an effective therapy to reduce anxiety from children, adults to the elderly. Keywords: Cancer, Anxiety, Music Therapy

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of advanced midwifery training in reducing maternal mortality. The method used is using training, discussion, and demonstration. This type of research is descriptive using secondary data on birth data and maternal mortality. Continuous training carried out during 2016 and 2017 was proven to reduce maternal mortality in Surabaya. The MMR in 10 sub-districts trained in 2015 was 113.7 per 100,000 births; this figure is still above the MDGs standard. After the MMR training was carried out in 10 sub-districts that received training in 2016, it was 81.8 per 100,000 births, and in 2017 it was 66.5 per 100,000 births. The results of the simple T-test showed a significant reduction in maternal mortality with p=0.04 (p<0.05). In conclusion, continuous training for midwives reduces maternal mortality in Surabaya. Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between work stress of health workers and caring behavior at the Serang City Health Center. This type of research is an analytic survey with a cross-sectional design. The results showed that 43.2% of health workers with moderate stress and 29.1% of health workers lacked caring. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that the value (p = 0.00).
