Therefore, this study aims to determine the development of students' religious character through intimate friendship. The method used is qualitative with 10 students in grade XI, namely 5 students of BRL 1 and 5 students of XI BRL 2, using a phenomenological approach. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the observation show the development of students' religious character through intimate friendship, that close friendship and mutual trust between students can play a role in helping the development of their religious character. Friends who support each other in terms of religious values will help shape students' personalities to be better in terms of religion. The results of the study show that the development of students' religious character through intimate friendship at SMKN 2 Palangka Raya can be encouraged through intimate friendship. In the school environment, close friendship between students not only strengthens social ties, but also influences the formation of religious character. In addition, through close friendships, students feel more comfortable and confident in expressing their feelings, be it happiness, anxiety, or challenges faced in everyday life. In this supportive environment, they can more freely discuss various issues, including moral dilemmas, religious understanding, or even challenges in practicing Islamic values in real life. Through open discussions and sharing experiences, students not only gain new perspectives, but also feel supported in their spiritual journey. For example, when a student has difficulty maintaining consistency in worship, his close friends can provide motivation or reminders in a more personal and empathetic way.

Abstract

This study examines the challenges and adaptations encountered by pre-service English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teachers in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum. A qualitative case study approach was used to collect data from 89 final-year english education students at the state islamic university of north Sumatra who had completed teaching internships. The aim of the study was to explore the difficulties faced by these pre-service teachers in applying the new curriculum and the adaptation strategies they used to overcome them. The findings indicate that, although the pre-service teachers demonstrated a strong understanding of the curriculum's principles especially in integrating the Pancasila Student Profile into their teaching they faced significant challenges. These challenges included difficulties in designing lesson plans, implementing student-centered teaching methods, and conducting authentic assessments. Support from schools, including adequate facilities, guidance from senior teachers, and professional development, was crucial in helping them address these challenges. Additionally, adaptation strategies such as attending workshops, collaborating with peers, and independently seeking additional resources proved effective in enhancing their capacity to implement the curriculum. This study emphasizes the importance of ongoing collaboration among educational institutions, schools, and pre-service teachers. Continuous training, mentoring, and resource support are essential to ensure the successful implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum and better prepare future educators for curriculum innovations.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of digital literacy in developing students' critical thinking skills in the digital era. With the rapid development of information technology, students' ability to access, analyze, and evaluate information has become a vital skill. The aim of this research is to describe the application of digital literacy in building students' critical thinking skills at SD Negeri 01 Matesih, Karanganyar. The method used is qualitative research with a phenomenological design, involving observation, interviews, and documentation. The implementation of PBL provides students with opportunities to actively search for information, analyze content, and verify the accuracy of the information they obtain. This digital-based learning successfully enhances students' critical thinking skills, as the digital media used encourages them to think analytically and reflectively. Additionally, the school's digital literacy programs, such as the barcode reading corners and digital reading corners, provide students with broader access to information that can enrich their knowledge. In conclusion, digital literacy has proven to be an effective tool for enhancing students' critical thinking skills at SD Negeri 01 Matesih.

Abstract

Character education in elementary schools is crucial in shaping a generation with integrity. However, weak implementation, bullying, and gadget addiction hinder these efforts early on. These challenges highlight the need to integrate character values into learning through effective and engaging methods. This study aims to examine three main aspects: (1) describe the character education values in the short story collection Cahaya-Cahaya Kecil by Hasta Indriyana, (2) describe their relevance to the dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile, and (3) formulate short story-based learning strategies for elementary schools. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a literary sociology approach. The analysis technique used is content analysis to identify character values in short stories and dialectical analysis to connect them with social reality. Data were analyzed using the Miles & Huberman model, which includes data collection, reduction, and presentation. Validation was conducted through source triangulation by comparing various primary data and confirming them with relevant theories and method triangulation by using various analysis techniques to ensure consistency of findings. The results show that this short story contains various character education values. These values have relevance to the Pancasila Student Profile because they reflect moral and social principles that are aligned with national education goals. This research also formulates short story-based learning strategies that include group discussions, creative projects, reflection, and authentic assessment. The findings confirm that short stories are an effective medium in character education and have the potential to be applied in learning to optimally support the Pancasila Student Profile.
