Abstract

The low level of students' conceptual understanding in mathematics, along with the lack of technological integration in learning, remains a major challenge in mathematics education in Indonesia. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Blended Learning model assisted by the Quizizz application on students’ conceptual understanding in mathematics, considering students’ mathematical disposition as a moderating factor. The study employed a quasi-experimental method with a posttest-only control group design and a 2×2 treatment by level approach. The participants consisted of four eighth-grade classes selected through cluster random sampling at a public junior high school in Jakarta. The research instruments included a mathematical disposition questionnaire and a conceptual understanding test, both validated by experts. Data were analyzed using independent sample t-tests and the General Linear Model (GLM) Univariate, based on the statistical assumptions of each research objective. The results indicated that the Blended Learning model assisted by Quizizz effectively improved students’ conceptual understanding, particularly among those with low mathematical disposition. However, no significant difference was found among students with high disposition, nor was there a statistically significant interaction between the learning model and mathematical disposition. These findings suggest that although the effectiveness of Blended Learning is not significantly dependent on students’ disposition, it remains a promising instructional approach that is inclusive, adaptive, and responsive to the diverse needs of learners in the digital era.

Abstract

The rapid development of the digital era demands the revitalization of Pancasila education through the development of contextual learning models that align with the characteristics of today's generation. This study aims to identify students’ needs regarding the implementation of Case-Based Learning (CBL) in the Pancasila course at the Kalimantan Institute of Technology. This research employs a descriptive quantitative approach using a survey technique involving 305 students from various study programs. Data were collected through a closed-ended questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics in the form of frequency counts of student responses to illustrate the collective perceptions of the students. The results show that students prefer learning approaches that incorporate modern visual media such as videos and posters. The most preferred topics relate to current issues such as anti-corruption, gender-based violence, and radicalism, with the ideal duration for case study implementation being three to four weeks. The findings highlight the necessity of designing a CBL-based Pancasila learning model that is contextual, flexible, and interactive to enhance students’ active participation. Therefore, it is recommended that the development of the Pancasila curriculum at the Kalimantan Institute of Technology integrates digital media and contemporary issues to strengthen the effectiveness of the learning process.

Abstract

Spiritual intelligence is an essential dimension in the development of students' character, encompassing the meaning of life, moral values, and spiritual relationships with God, others, and nature. Science education (IPA), which has traditionally been neutral toward religious values, in fact holds great potential for integration with spiritual values, particularly within the context of Hindu education. This study aims to examine the integration of Hindu values into science learning as a strategy to foster spiritual intelligence among elementary students at Adi Widyalaya. The method used is a literature review, analyzing various scientific sources and Hindu scriptures to explore the relationship between scientific concepts and values such as Tri Hita Karana, Rwa Bhineda, Ahimsa, Panca Maha Bhuta, and Karma Phala. The findings indicate that integrating these values not only enhances scientific understanding but also cultivates empathy, moral responsibility, and spiritual awareness toward nature. This study contributes scientifically by offering a conceptual framework that integrates science and Hindu spirituality, and practically by providing a foundation for developing science curricula and teaching materials that align with the characteristics of Widyalaya, in support of holistic and transformative education.

Abstract

History learning in schools still faces various challenges, particularly in terms of instructional innovation. The limited use of digital media and student-centered learning strategies has resulted in low student engagement and weak historical awareness. One subject that requires an innovative approach is the study of Hindu-Buddhist temple remains in the Malang Raya region, which holds significant educational and cultural value. This study aims to design a conceptual model of history learning based on Historical Problem-Based Learning (HPBL) integrated with a digital media tool called Katalog Sejarah (Katarah), in order to enhance learning effectiveness and contextual relevance. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of five phases: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. This conceptual study focuses on the design phase without classroom implementation. The design results indicate that integrating HPBL with Katarah has the potential to create more participatory learning, foster critical thinking, and strengthen students’ historical literacy. Katarah, as an interactive visual medium, enables students to explore historical heritage digitally and independently. This model is also aligned with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes project-based learning and differentiation. The study concludes that the HPBL-Katarah conceptual model offers an innovative and contextual alternative for history learning and supports the achievement of the Profil Pelajar Pancasila, particularly in the dimensions of critical reasoning and global diversity. Further classroom implementation is needed to empirically test its effectiveness.

Abstract

Teaching Factory (TeFa) is an innovative approach in vocational education aimed at bridging the gap between the education sector and the industrial world. In the context of vocational high schools (SMK) in Indonesia, the implementation of TeFa is expected to enhance students' job readiness through real production-based learning. This study aims to systematically examine the models, implementation strategies, and the impact of TeFa on students' job readiness in Indonesian SMKs. The research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach guided by the PRISMA protocol. A total of 25 scientific articles published between 2017 and 2024 were analyzed using thematic analysis methods. The findings reveal that the dominant TeFa model used is the hybrid model, which integrates project-based learning with real production activities. However, most of these models have not been empirically tested against national competency standards. In terms of implementation, the main challenges include limited production facilities, lack of teacher training, and weak structural collaboration with industry. Evaluation of TeFa implementation is largely descriptive, using the CIPP model, with few studies employing quantitative or longitudinal indicators. The positive impacts of TeFa on students’ job readiness are mainly seen in soft skills development, motivation, and self-confidence, though these have not been systematically supported by alumni tracking data. This study concludes that while TeFa holds significant potential to strengthen the job readiness of vocational students, its implementation still faces structural and methodological challenges. Further research is needed, particularly using quantitative and longitudinal data, along with strengthened formal partnerships between vocational schools and industry to ensure the measurable and sustainable benefits of TeFa.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and evaluate Beladikar (Character Education Song Bell), a Windows-based digital application that integrates an automatic school bell with national and regional songs to strengthen elementary students’ discipline and patriotism. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) design using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), with data analyzed through descriptive statistics. Expert validation indicated the application was “highly feasible,” with mean scores of 90% (content experts) and 92% (media experts). A practicality test involving 10 teachers and one school operator obtained a 91.3% positive response. Effectiveness trials with 120 students showed an average achievement of 85.5%, reflecting significant improvement in punctuality, orderly behavior, and enthusiasm in singing patriotic songs. The findings demonstrate that Beladikar not only supports time management in schools but also embeds character values consistently, thereby contributing to a positive school climate. However, the study was limited by a short trial period and restricted sample scope. Future research is recommended to involve broader educational contexts and enrich the application with interactive and mobile-based features.
