Abstract

This study aims to identify how the fulfillment of basic psychological needs, namely competence, independence, and relatedness can increase and shape pilgrims' motivation to perform Umrah independently. With the increasing public interest in performing Umrah independently, it is important to understand how these three basic psychological needs affect pilgrims' motivation. This study uses a qualitative research method with a psychological approach. Data were collected through interviews with pilgrims who have performed Umrah independently and observation. This study involved five participants who have performed Umrah independently. The results showed that pilgrims will fulfill and satisfy their three basic psychological needs such as competence, autonomy and relatedness with the help of several factors such as previous experience, technological advances, access to information, and the existence of a community. These three needs together increase and shape their motivation in performing Umrah independently so that pilgrims can undergo worship with more confidence and meaning. Motivation that increases and is formed after the fulfillment of basic psychological needs includes intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. In addition, intrinsic motivation is more dominant in developing and increasing during the implementation of independent Umrah.

Abstract

There are many negative impacts resulting from unregistered marriages, but many still carry out unregistered marriages for various reasons. This causes many problems that occur after the unregistered marriage, both in terms of status and income. The problem that often occurs is the husband leaving the house, causing uncertainty about the wife’s status, and resulting in the child not being provided for by her husband. This research aims to analyze legal protection for the livelihood and status of women who are abandoned by married husbands by revealing facts about the views of the judges of the Serdang Bedagai Religious Court regarding the status and resolution of existing problems. This research method is a qualitative method with a case study approach. This research is descriptive qualitative in nature where the author examines the applicable legal provisions and what happens in reality in society. Siri marriage as known to Indonesian society today is a marriage that is carried out in compliance with the pillars and requirements set by religion, but is not legally valid. The results of this research are regarding legal protection regarding status and income to be earned as well as efforts that can be made to clarify and obtain the income that should be obtained. The solution or legal protection effort offered by the judge at the Serdang Begagai religious court for women living with their married husbands who want to clarify their marital status and themselves is by filing a lawsuit. With the name of the lawsuit, namely the legalization of marriage cumulated with divorce or isbat marriage cumulated with divorce lawsuit. And to get a living for himself and the children from the unregistered marriage, namely the accumulation of divorce cases with alimony.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role and challenges faced by the Hajj Task Force in serving elderly pilgrims at Donohudan Embarkation. The main challenges that the task force often faces when serving elderly pilgrims include effective communication, physical handling of the elderly which requires extra energy, and building the trust of elderly pilgrims who are often hesitant to accept help. Another difficulty is guiding elderly people who are senile to follow procedures. The research method uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The informants in this study were selected using the Snowball Sampling technique, in this technique the researcher starts with one or two individuals, then they recommend other individuals to be sampled. The results show that although the facilities at Donohudan Embarkation are adequate, some shortcomings still exist, especially in terms of facilities for the disabled and elderly. The biggest challenges faced by the Task Force in serving elderly pilgrims are communication, physical handling that requires extra energy, and building trust from elderly pilgrims who are often hesitant to accept help. This research contributes to improving the quality of Hajj services, especially for elderly pilgrims.

Abstract

A husband or wife cannot take legal action against jointly owned property without the consent of each party, including in the case of donating jointly owned land. Because land acquired during the marriage period is a type of joint property. The aim of this research is to determine and analyze the validity of the waqf status of jointly owned land without the consent of one of the parties and the position of husband and wife as wakif in the waqf of land jointly owned by the late Muhammad Yusuf Harahap who donated a plot of land, which was then built on top of a mosque, namely the Nurul Iman mosque with proof of ownership certificate number 146, located in Timbang Deli sub-district, Medan Amplas District. However, the wife of the late Muhammad Yusuf Harahap, namely Mrs. Maimunah Dalimunthe, did not agree to the endowment and did not participate in ratifying the deed in lieu of the waqf pledge deed No. W.3/01/XI of 1993 before the official who made the land pledge deed for Medan Amplas sub-district. Of course this is contrary to law no. 1 of 1974 concerning marriage article 36 paragraph (1) concerning joint property, husband and wife can act with the consent of both parties. This research is based on field research with the approach used is descriptive-qualitative. The results of this research show that the validity of the waqf status of jointly owned land without the consent of one of the parties is not just a legal act that gives rise to legal consequences. But it is also an activity that originates from the law itself. In Islamic law, husband and wife have an equal position regarding joint assets, and decisions regarding these assets must be taken jointly. Waqf for joint assets must have the approval of both parties.

Abstract

One of the abilities that must be possessed by a teacher is to manage the class well so that it can create a conducive learning atmosphere, good classroom management can be done by teachers by taking preventive and repressive actions. This study aims to determine the preventive and repressive actions taken by Islamic Cultural History teachers at MAN Kota Palangka Raya in managing the classroom. This research uses qualitative research with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. As for the data sources in this study conducted by researchers consist of two parts, namely primary data sources and secondary data sources. The Islamic Culture History subject teacher of MAN Kota Palangka Raya became the research subject, while the deputy head of madrasah and students as informants in this study. The results of this study indicate that in managing the classroom good teacher skills are needed, such as teachers can show responsiveness and attention to all students, teachers can also prepare lesson plans using a variety of methods so that students are more motivated to learn, especially Islamic Cultural History subjects. The teacher's ability in preventive action can also be done by adding class rules agreed upon by all class members and providing positive behavior reinforcement. As for repressive actions taken by MAN Kota Palangka Raya teachers in Islamic Cultural History lessons, namely by giving verbal warnings to students who behave poorly and educational sanctions to problematic students so that teachers can also take an individual approach. So it can be concluded in this study that the teacher's ability to manage the class is very necessary in learning.

Abstract

The high divorce rate in the Medan region has led to various social impacts for those involved parties, making mediation an effective solution to reduce the increasing burden of divorce cases and as an effort to achieve peaceful and family dispute resolution. This research aims to examine the strategies of mediators and the implementation of mediation as an alternative for resolving divorce cases at the Medan Religious Court Class 1A during the 2021-2023 period. This study uses a qualitative method with an empirical juridical approach. Primary data was obtained through interviews with non-judge mediators at the Medan Religious Court, while secondary data was sourced from documents of the Medan Religious Court, relevant legislation, and literature. The results of the study indicate fluctuations in the success rate of mediation, which were 7.52%, 8.23%, and 4.96% respectively for the 2021-2023 period. Additionally, the implementation of mediation at the Medan Religious Court still faces various challenges. This research concludes that several enhancement measures are essential to achieve effective and efficient solutions in the mediation process at the Medan Religious Court. The recommended improvements encompass conducting public outreach and educational programs, upgrading facilities, implementing systematic evaluation and monitoring mechanism and engaging in comparative studies with Religious Court across other municipalities or regencies.

Abstract

Building harmony in cultural and religious diversity needs to be maintained, given the increasing challenges in facing an increasingly globalized life. Therefore, local values such as kula pahari have provided one of the media to build harmony in the community. For this reason, the purpose of this research is how the concept of kula pahari as a medium for social education, the impact of kula pahari on harmony and how the challenges of preserving kula pahari in the modern era. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques interviews and text-related studies in the form of books, journals and other sources. The results of the study show that (a) kula pahari can be used as a medium for social education because this concept teaches a set of norms or rules in society to live in harmony despite differences, by maintaining manners and spiritual morals that prioritize kinship and brotherhood by emphasizing family emotional ties tied by cultural ropes based on a sense of community in the Huma Betang container. (b) the impact of the kula pahari concept as a literacy media, Belom Bahadat Theology (mutual respect and not berating), upholding the principle of ta'awun and optimizing the Community Harmony Institution. (c) challenges to kula Pahari in the modern era such as truth claim culture, political and economic disparities, competition between migrants and natives and differences in social and cultural values. By integrating local wisdom values, the community can strengthen solidarity by spreading educational literacy, upholding mutual respect, helping each other, and organizing religious harmony institutions and community empowerment in Central Kalimantan.

Abstract

The low participation and contribution of students in group discussions result in a lack of cooperation among them. The purpose of this study was to improve the collaborative skills of XI MA Darul Ulum Palangka Raya students by applying the quick on the draw learning model. This research used a classroom action research (CAR) method. The findings of this study indicated that many students needed encouragement to actively participate, as the research found that their average score for cooperation skills reached 54% in the first cycle. Teamwork abilities improved significantly during the second cycle, with the average score rising to 81%, a 27% improvement compared to the first cycle. Students began to cooperate better, showing appreciation for others' efforts, taking turns and sharing responsibilities, respecting others' differences, staying in their groups during activities, and completing work on time, according to the findings. Additionally, the number of students falling into the “Very Good” category increased from 12 in the third meeting to 23 in the fourth meeting, demonstrating substantial progress.

Abstract

Having a mediator in this case is very important, apart from making peace, a mediator is also responsible for helping both parties to make peace and reach an agreement on what both parties want. A mediator’s ability to mediate is really needed, especially in certain cases, to be a mediator you must have expertise or be competent. However, the mediation process is not always successful in helping the dispute resolution process. In reality, the divorce rate in Indonesia is increasing, as is what is happening in the Medan Religious Courts. This research aims to examine the strategies applied by mediators in resolving early divorce cases at the Medan Religious Courts, as well as to assess the level of success of mediators in mediating early divorce cases based on data for 2023. This research uses a qualitative approach with a focus on the quality of the objects studied and applies descriptive methods to related subjects. The approach used is juridical-sociological, by observing social phenomena from a legal perspective. Data sources were obtained through literature study and interviews with mediators at the Medan Religious Court. The results of the research show that mediator at the Medan Religious Court applies seven main strategies in mediating early divorce cases: the mediator must know the situation of the case very well, find out what the desires of both parties are, come up with a solution that is acceptable to both parties, and apply a religious, psychological, beautiful past and family approach. It can be said that the effectiveness achieved by mediators in resolving early divorce cases at the Medan Religious Court has not been effective and efficient. However, several factors that influence the success of mediation, both internal and external, have also been identified. Internal factors can come from the litigants.

Abstract

This paper will discuss the text of a puppet play entitled Kasantikaning Raga. The text that contains a narrative about the character Gathotkaca has elements such as text, narrative structure, illustrations, and ideology. Because the text comes from the popular tradition of the Yogyakarta puppetry region, the idiom of Yogyakarta-style puppetry language is very strong. The text can also be used as a guideline in shadow puppet performances. The illustrations show the visual richness of the puppeteer's creativity as a poet, composer, and creator of visual images of wayang. The literary aspect is shown in the narrative text. The text, which dates back to the early 20th century, shows a pattern of transfer from textual to visual, textual to performance and vice versa. To see these various layers of elements, a study of text, image and discourse is needed to achieve the expected results. Reflecting on the material object in the form of the play of the appearance of the wanda figure of Gathotkaca, an ideology related to the conquest of celestial phenomena is also found to be utilized as a means of achieving fertility in the area where the text production is located.
