Abstract

This research aims to examine and understand cases of sexual violence that befell the Prophet Joseph that was recorded in the verses of the Quran. The Prophet Joseph as a survivor of sexual violence suffered from verbal sexual harassment, attempted rape compulsion, and victim-blaming. The data is obtained by library research and analyzed using the socio-historical approach and qirā’ah mubādalah to analyze the method. The research results indicate that men and women must create a safe space of sexual violence and avoid destructive actions. The Prophet Joseph's strategic move came out of the circle of sexual violence and became a survivor by implementing the unity of God's values in various conditions.

Abstract

Sunnatullah (Causality Law) as the basis of interpretation is intended to make its concept as a limitation (taqyîd) from the generality or absoluteness of the al-Qur'an and Hadith texts. For example, the texts that talk about the implementation of congregational prayers, Friday prayers, other worship suggestions related to the crowd, are restricted by the rules (sunnatullah) of social distancing taken from the understanding of other religious texts. The massive number of people who state they should not be afraid of Covid19 and should only fear Allah is evidence of the lack of use of the concept of sunnatullah as the basis for interpreting the Qur'an and Hadith. Qualitative research using field-library and ethnographic research methods find that it is necessary to understand religious texts coupled with an understanding of the social sciences and humanities, especially the concept of sunnatullah. This research is intended to contribute to proper comprehension in understanding the Qur'an and Hadith so that there will be no contradiction in its interpretation with social, economic, political and health realities.

Abstract

This article aims at explaining the difference between sunan ilāhiyya ijtimāʿiyya and sunan kawniyya ṭabīʿiyya; two complicated concepts that are not easy to comprehend. Furthermore, as a means to help comprehension upon the concepts, this study also investigates their influences in Qurʾān commentaries. In doing so, this qualitative research employs analytical-comparative approaches upon Tafsīr al-Manār of Muḥammad Rashīd Riḍā and al-Jawāhir fī Tafsīr al-Qurʿān al-Karīm of Ṭanṭawī al-Jawharī. It is through both commentaries this article seeks to explain the difference between sunan ilāhiyya ijtimāʿiyya and sunan kawniyya ṭabīʿiyya. The result of the research is as follow: sunan ilāhiyya ṭabīʿiyya is a concept that is related to human and its intentionality and will, whereas sunan ṭabī’iyya is related to human but not in its intentionality but physicality. Sunan ijtimāʿiyya is reflected by Tafsīr al-Manār of Rashīd Riḍā, whereas sunan kawniyya ṭabīʿiyya is reflected by Tafsīr al-Jawāhir of Ṭanṭawī Jawharī. أوضح هذا البحث الفرق بين السنن الإلهية في المجتمع والسنن الكونية في الطبيعة وأثرهما في كتب التفسير. وقد استخدم هذا البحث الكيفي منهج التحليل والمقارنة بين تفسير المنار لمحمد رشيد رضا وكتاب الجواهر في تفسير القرآن الكريم لطنطاوي جوهري. ونتائج هذا البحث أن السنن الإلهية في المجتمع تتعلق بعزيمة وقدرة الإنسان. وأما السنن الكونية في الطبيعة لم تتعلق بالإنسان، لكن بالأحكام الطبيعية والعالمية. السنن الإلهية في المجتمع متضمنة في تفسير المنار لمحمد رشيد رضا، وأما السنن الكونية في الطبيعة متضمنة في كتاب الجواهر في تفسير القرآن الكريم لطنطاوي جوهري.

Abstract

This article is intended to find out:1) how the interpretation of Sayyid Qutb regarding dhikr contained in Tafseer Fi Zilal al-Quran is, 2) how dhikr as an anxiety therapy for modern society problems in viewpoint of Sayyid Qutb in the context of current social life is. This study used a library research using descriptive qualitative approach. The study results showed: 1) The interpretation of Sayyid Qutb regarding dhikr as stated in the Tafseer Fi zilal al-Qur'an has various meanings. Among the meanings are a) remembering, b) prayer, c) calling the name of Allah, d) lessons/wisdom, e) thinking of natural phenomena, f) knowledge, g) warnings, h) the books of Allah. 2) dhikr as an anxiety therapy for the modern society problems in viewpoint of Sayyid Qutb in the current context of social life is dhikr has several functions in the context of anxiety therapy for the Islamic individuals, including: the function of a) prevention, b) guidance, and c) treatment.

Abstract

This research tries to elaborate on the interpretation of HAMKA in his book Tafsir al-Azhar (تفسير الأزهر) on the verses of the process of human creation, especially in Q.S. Al-Mu'minun/23:1-17. Most researchers seem more inclined to approach the Kauniyyah verses from the standpoint of scientific explanation, including when interpreting verses related to the process of human creation (embryology) in Q.S. Al-Mu'minun/23:1-17. If scrutinized, HAMKA’s interpretation of these is present in disputing disbelievers' rejection of the phenomena of physical resurrection (Ba'tsu al-Ajsad) on the Day of Judgment. This study is qualitative in form and was created using a literature review using the Nazhariyyat al-Siyaq approach (نظرية السياق) to see the substance of these verses from the context of their appearance in Surat al-Mu'minun while considering the similarity of their context which exist in Chapter al-Hajj and al-Ghafir. The results of this study indicate that HAMKA interprets the verses in Q.S. Al-Mu'minun/23:1-17 by dividing them into two clusters. First, verses 1-11 are about the characteristics of a believer person. Second, verses 12-17 are about the process of human creation, which ends with a warning about the day of resurrection. HAMKA combines verses 12, 13, and 14, which discuss the process of human creation, into one cluster with verses 15-17 about the day of resurrection. In the writer's opinion, through the Nazhariyyat al-Siyaq approach (theory of context), it appears that the presence of verses 12, 13, and 14 (which talk about the process of human creation) is more of an invitation to reflect on the origin of human beings, where did they come from, how did they live and where will they return? In other words, HAMKA's interpretation of verses 12, 13, and 14 has more of an eschatological nuance (i.e., belief in the existence of a physical resurrection [ba'tsu al-ajsad] on the Day of Resurrection) rather than a scientific nuance.

Abstract

Interpersonal communication between parents and children is essential in the digital era. The role of parents and effectiveness in building communication must be implemented well. With its unique focus on Islamic values, this study aims to explore key elements in such communication. The research method used is library research with a qualitative research model on verses related to the story of Luqman in the Al-Qur’an, highlighting the interpretation of Buya Hamka in Tafsir Al-Azhar. The research results show firstly, in surah Luqman verses 16-19, it explains the amount of good that is done, the obligation to perform prayers, the obligation to amar ma’ruf against evil, the recommendation to be patient when experiencing misfortune, as well as morals and manners in interacting with fellow humans, such as not turning away, human face. Secondly, the interpersonal communication patterns of parents and children are contained in surah Luqman verses 16-19: equality and openness, empathy and positive behavior. This pattern can be demonstrated by various kinds of behavior and attitudes, including choosing the proper diction, making the child a speaking partner of the same age, and not looking away and not shouting at the child. With its unique Islamic perspective, the implication is that this study significantly enriches the treasures of interpersonal communication.*****Komunikasi interpersonal orang tua dan anak menjadi kajian penting di era digital. Peran orang tua dan efektivitas dalam membangun komunikasi perlu diterapkan dengan baik. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi elemen-elemen kunci dalam komunikasi tersebut, menyoroti nilai-nilai Islami yang dapat diterapkan dalam konteks hubungan keluarga. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah library research dengan model penelitian kualitatif terhadap ayat-ayat yang terkait dengan kisah Luqman dalam Al-Qur’an, dengan menyorot penafsiran Buya Hamka dalam Tafsir Al-Azhar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pertama, bahwa Surah Luqman ayat 16-19 menerangkan tentang sebesar apapun kebaikan yang dikerjakan, kewajiban mendirikan shalat, kewajiban amar ma’ruf nahi munkar, anjuran bersabar ketika mendapat musibah, serta akhlak dan sopan santun dalam berinteraksi pada sesama manusia, seperti tidak memalingkan wajah dari manusia. Kedua, pola komunikasi interpersonal orang tua dan anak yang terdapat dalam Surah Luqman ayat 16-19, yaitu: kesetaraan dan keterbukaan, empati, dan perilaku positif. Pola tersebut dapat ditunjukkan dengan berbagai macam perilaku dan sikap, antara lain: pemilihan diksi yang tepat, menjadikan anak sebagai patner bicara yang seusia, dan tidak memalingkan wajah serta tidak berteriak kepada anak. Implikasinya, studi ini dapat memperkaya khazanah komunikasi interpersonal menurut perspektif keislaman.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis fasilitas dan pelayanan apa saja yang diberikan dalam program manasik haji ramah lansia, mengevaluasi persepsi jamaah lansia terhadap fasilitas dan pelayanan dalam Manasik Haji Ramah Lansia yang diselenggarakan oleh Kementerian Agama, serta mengindentifikasi kendala yang dihadapi jamaah lansia dalam mengikuti manasik haji. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian melibatkan Kepala Sie Bidang Haji dan Umroh serta calon jamaah haji lansia tahun 2024. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa mayoritas jamaah lansia memberikan respons positif terhadap program ini, dengan menyatakan bahwa fasilitas dan pelayanan yang disediakan cukup memadai untuk memenuhi kebutuhan fisiknya. Program ini meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dan kesiapan mereka untuk melaksanakan ibadah haji. Pendampingan khusus oleh petugas terlatih memberikan rasa aman dan nyaman, serta dukungan emosional dan psikologis yang sangat penting. Namun, terdapat kendala yang dihadapi oleh jamaah lansia antara lain keterbatasan fisik dan masalah kesehatan. Solusi alternatif seperti manasik virtual dan pelatihan individu di rumah diperlukan untuk memastikan semua jamaah lansia dapat mempersiapkan diri secara maksimal sebelum melaksanakan ibadah haji. Dengan adanya Manasik Haji Ramah Lansia dapat meningkatkan kesiapan fisik, mental, dan spiritual jamaah lansia.

Abstract

Umroh adalah suatu ibadah yang dilakukan di tanah suci mekkah. pada pelaksana’anya harus mengedepankan sisi spiritualitas dan ruhaniyyah, namun pada praktiknya umroh menjadi trend bagi masyarakat milenial, bahkan dari penelitian sebelumnya umroh menjadi gaya hidup/lifestyle. Sehingga niat untuk membersihkan diri menjadi tergantikan dengan niat meninggikan status sosial tanpa melihat sisi ruhaniiyah. Tulisan ini menghadirkan pembahasan tentang makna umroh perspektif tasawuf Nurcholish Madjid. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi pustaka dengan pendekatan analisis deskriptif. Tulisan ini menyimpulkan bahwa perlu bagi masyarakat ketika berangkat umroh melihat kembali niat dan tujuannya berangkat umroh dengan mengedepankan sisi sufistiknya. Melalui pandangan Neo Sufisme Cak Nur ibadah umroh bermakna meramaikan tanah haramain, meramaikan dalam konteks melakukan hal-hal yang bersifat spiritual beliau juga mendefinisaksan umroh sebagai dzikir dan ajang pendekatan diri kepada Allah dengan meninggalkan semua sifat yang tidak disukai oleh allah seperti hasud, dengki dan meninggalkan sifat keduniawinnya, akan tetapi menurut Cak Nur dalam meninggalkan sifat keduniawinnya tidak harus sampai meninggalkan interaksi kepada masyarakt karena selayaknya khalifah di bumi harus menjaga keseimbangan (Tawazun) antara kesalehan spiritual dan kesalehan sosial.
