Abstract

People with disabilities often face challenges in fulfilling their rights, including the right to worship in mosques. This research aims to investigate the worship accessibility for people with disabilities in the Tana Luwu area and the role of religious mosque authorities in supporting the fulfillment of the religious rights of people with disabilities in Tana Luwu. This is qualitative research with case study approach, where the researcher interviewed five individuals with disabilities and three mosque authorities. Additionally, the researcher observed several mosques and collected relevant documentation. The research results show that people with disabilities in Tana Luwu face difficulties in accessing mosques in the area due to the lack of disability-friendly facilities. However, the absence of disability-friendly mosque facilities can be overcome with positive attention from mosque authorities and Jemaah or congregants. In general, physical barriers do not pose a significant obstacle for people with disabilities to worship because of the social support they receive from the surrounding community. Discussions about the religious rights of people with disabilities should be expanded, and real improvements in mosques are needed to make them inclusive places of worship.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the communication patterns formed in family communication between daughters and single fathers with the help of other family members' roles in it. This study uses a narrative study approach with a constructivist paradigm to explore individual experiences and the meanings they build in their communication interactions. The informant in this study is a daughter who no longer has a mother because she died and lives at home with other family members. The results of the study indicate that the communication pattern between daughters and single fathers in this study is protective, where the communication pattern is oriented towards high conformity and low conversation. One of these is the discovery of a communication barrier, where daughters feel unable to freely open up to single fathers without a communication bridge such as other family members in the communication between them so that daughters feel less heard because fathers choose to maintain good relationships so that future conflicts can be avoided. This study also emphasizes the importance of additional supporting data in narrative studies, such as follow-up interviews, to provide a more comprehensive picture of the dynamics of communication in families between daughters and single fathers with the help of other family members' roles. By understanding the factors that influence the formation of this communication pattern, this study is expected to contribute to the development of better communication strategies in families with single parent conditions, especially single fathers, and provide insight for practitioners and researchers in the field of family communication. This study also provides practical significance for intervention efforts and social support for families facing similar challenges.

Abstract

Gender equality has become an essential part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 5, which emphasizes the empowerment of women in managerial sectors. In Indonesia, although there has been an increase in women's workforce participation, gender disparities persist, especially in managerial positions. This study aims to explore the impact of SDG policies in enhancing women’s participation and career promotion in managerial positions in Indonesia. Using a literature review method, the study collects and analyzes various academic sources and policy reports related to women. The results show that SDG policies, particularly Goal 5 on gender equality, play an important role in increasing women's participation in managerial positions by fostering an inclusive work environment. Training programs and work flexibility help eliminate barriers, strengthen women’s roles in decision-making, and contribute to both company performance and economic growth. Despite progress in increasing women's participation, significant challenges remain, such as wage gaps, gender stereotypes, and structural barriers that prevent women from reaching leadership positions. This study highlights the need for more effective strategies and collaboration between the government and private sector to address these obstacles and strengthen women’s roles in the workforce, in line with SDG 5, which emphasizes gender equality and women’s empowerment across all sectors.

Abstract

Indonesia is currently faced with significant environmental problems stemming from industrial activities, deforestation, and peatland burning, which substantially increase greenhouse gas emissions and accelerate environmental degradation. This paper aims to analyze an extensive review of the literature related to regulations and policies on climate change, within international and national legal frameworks. The paper also further explores significant advances in environmental law related to climate change, covering issues such as human rights, climate litigation, and the obligations of sovereign states and corporate entities. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method based on the Integrated Literature Review (ILR) approach, which focuses on the intrinsic logic and coherence of legal documents in general. The results of the analysis show that a legal perspective is increasingly important in addressing climate change, given that laws, treaties and regulations can take a central role in mitigating and adapting to the impacts of climate change. Specifically, climate change law encompasses a wide array of legal instruments and mechanisms at the international, national, and local levels, all of which aim to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, increase climate resilience, and promote climate justice. In conclusion, this study, climate change has emerged as an urgent global challenge that requires legal and regulatory interventions at various levels. In addition, the legal perspective plays an important role in explaining the roles and responsibilities of the state, individuals, communities, and the private sector in the field of climate change mitigation and adaptation. As a recommendation to strengthen climate policy in Indonesia, it is imperative to advocate for legal reforms that are responsive to international advancements and improve the capacity of the judiciary in handling environmental litigation, thereby facilitating effective implementation of climate change law.

Abstract

Truth is an issue that cannot be separated from all human actions in their lives. However, in line with the development of human thought, truth becomes an issue that continues to be questioned in line with its development by viewing truth from many perspectives that are relative to its truth. The existence of relative truth has consequences that place evil can also be viewed relatively, thus making humans victims of themselves. This study is an attempt to uncover historical objects in the form of literary works written by Ronggowarsito as the last Javanese poet, entitled Serat Kalatidha. This study is a library research using a philosophical approach in achieving local wisdom concepts that reveal the messages conveyed by Ronggowarsito whose lifetime was directly confronted with the Western paradigm of thought brought by European colonialists in order to control their colonies. The paradigm that causes problems in society is caused by how rationality is placed as the peak of human intellectuality, but on the other hand rationality is also the basis for the paradigm of secularism and relativism. Relativism is a paradigm based on realism in truth is a thought with forms of justification that limit the relative view to the worldly and material. This makes rationality open to being influenced by lust in making justifications that become human policies and actions. Ronggowarsito through his literary works, does not reject rationality, but is criticized and at the same time emphasized that rationality must be surpassed in order to avoid the influence of lust that traps relative morals and its 'justifications', as Javanese civilization has had the principle of absolute truth through an eling lan waspada attitude as an epistemological path to achieving awareness of the existence of spirituality in achieving the truth.

Abstract

The transformation of education in the era of Society 5.0 demands the integration of the latest technology to create effective and relevant learning. Especially for a professional teacher as a learning innovator who should have multiple skills.  In the destructive era, a fundamental change needs to be made by professional teachers. This research aims to develop a Spatial.io-based virtual classroom model to improve the multiskills of Teacher Professional Programme (PPG) students through a systematic approach using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Spatial.io, as a three-dimensional (3D) space-based immersive platform, is designed to support collaborative interaction, creative exploration, critical thinking, and experiential learning, which are key in equipping students with communication, technology, and problem-solving skills. The dynamics of physical, social, and cultural geography diversity necessitate a collaborative classroom that can facilitate prospective social studies teachers to study together by bringing out the characteristics of their respective environments. This study involved the development and implementation of the Spatial.io virtual classroom prototype which was tested on PPG students in various regions of the archipelago. The results showed that the integration of the ADDIE model in the development of this virtual classroom ensured a learning design that was responsive to student's needs and the local context. The evaluation phase showed significant improvements in learning engagement, collaborative ability, and multiskill mastery, compared to traditional online learning methods. The Spatial.io-based virtual classroom model designed through the ADDIE approach provides an innovative solution in supporting educational transformation in the digital era. This study suggests wider implementation and customization for various learning contexts, to create a competent, adaptive, and globally ready workforce.

Abstract

This study examines the widespread rejection of the Job Creation Law in Indonesia by applying policy implementation theory to understand the root causes of public resistance and evaluate government efforts to address these issues. Passed in 2020 using the Omnibus Law approach, the law aims to streamline regulations to boost investment and economic growth. However, the study reveals significant objections from various societal groups, especially workers, due to perceived threats to labor rights, environmental protections, and public participation during its formulation. Using a qualitative literature review method, the research identifies key factors driving resistance, including inadequate transparency, limited stakeholder involvement, and distrust toward the legislative process. The findings show that the law is seen as prioritizing business interests at the expense of workers' welfare and environmental sustainability, exacerbating public dissatisfaction and leading to mass protests across Indonesia. The study underscores the need for effective public communication, inclusive policymaking, and a stronger focus on social welfare to build trust and improve acceptance. Recommendations include increased outreach, revision of contentious provisions, and strengthened collaboration between the government and stakeholders. These steps are critical for achieving a balance between regulatory reform and public trust while addressing Indonesia's socio-economic challenges.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of surveillance technology, particularly the adoption of Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), has revolutionized public safety measures. In Makassar City's Lorong Wisata, CCTV serves as a critical tool for monitoring public spaces, reducing crime, and enhancing the sense of security. This study aims to explore the effectiveness and challenges of CCTV implementation as a digital surveillance mechanism. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations involving local government officials, law enforcement, and community members, analyzed with NVivo 14 software. Results indicate that CCTV has significantly improved public safety by deterring crime and facilitating law enforcement investigations. However, concerns about privacy infringement and the psychological "chilling effect" are prominent, as constant surveillance influences community behavior and limits personal freedom. Furthermore, the potential misuse of collected data raises additional privacy concerns. This study emphasizes the importance of transparent regulations, active community engagement, and periodic evaluations to balance public safety and individual privacy. Holistic approaches integrating technology with social reform are necessary to ensure effective and ethical surveillance practices.

Abstract

The measurement of spatial thinking skills (KBS) in Indonesia requires adjustments to align with the historical context and local conditions. In geography education, the measurement of KBS generally focuses on the dimension of spatial relationships, although research shows that KBS encompasses various distinct spatial skills. Testing for specific skills does not necessarily reflect other spatial abilities, and the significant differences in measurement methods often lead to inconsistencies in findings. Furthermore, KBS research in Indonesia is not connected to its development context in Western countries and has not undergone a structured adaptation to the local culture and environment. This study aims to map the test instruments used and evaluate the practices of measuring KBS in geography education in Indonesia. The literature review follows the PRISMA 2020 procedure, as adapted by the author, with 100 articles meeting the criteria, including 28 conference papers and 72 journal articles. Most studies employ instruments developed independently, while standardized instruments for repeated use are rarely applied. KBS test instruments can be classified into seven types with two approaches. The measurement of KBS is conducted with descriptive, causal, interrelational, and instrument development objectives. Despite the variation in measurement methods, the conclusions drawn tend to be uniform, which necessitates scrutiny of the content validity of the instruments. Additionally, the measurement of KBS is often limited to the dimension of spatial relationships, with research directions being difficult to map due to the unstructured adaptation process. This study recommends reaching a consensus on the concepts, methodologies, and measurement standards that align with the local needs in Indonesia.
