Abstract

Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) is an asset pricing model that is often used by investors. In CAPM risk comes from two factors, systematic risk and unsystematic risk (idiosyncratic risk). In recent decades the risk of idiosyncratic continues to increase. Although idiosyncratic risk can be eliminated by diversification, several studies have shown that this risk cannot be completely eliminated. This study aims to analyze the effect of institutional ownership, independent board of commissioners, timeliness of financial statements on idiosyncratic risk. The sample of this research is companies engaged in the financial sector consisting of banking companies, insurance companies, securities companies, financing institutions, and others on the IDX in 2013-2018. The result of the analysis shows that the independent board of commissioners has a significant negative effect on idiosyncratic risk. Institutional ownership has a positive effect and timeliness of financial statements has a negative effect, but both are not statistically significant.

Abstract

Abstract

This research investigates whether cultural variables explain diversity in corporate leverage in developing markets. Adaption in government borrowing, as well as macroeconomic uncertainty and financial sector expansion, play a larger effect. Individualism is highly positive connected with leverage except for short-term debt, while uncertainty-avoidance is negatively correlated with leverage except for long-term debt. We also investigate the buildup and dissipation of leverage by studying the relationship between company profitability, size, market to book, R&D, which all negatively connected while tangible assets remain positively related.

Abstract

In Indonesia, a wide range of cashless payment systems have been combined with a variety of applications, including online commerce, financial technology, and online transportation. Online transportation service providers, on the other hand, continue to accept cash payments for online transportation. In the middle of online transportation service providers' efforts to develop customer happiness initiatives, they must also be prepared to anticipate customer decisions to switch from cash to cashless payment methods. This is something that online transportation service providers should think about. Based on these findings, the purpose of this study is to determine the elements that influence customer satisfaction when applying the OVO payment method for online transportation. This quantitative notion is used in research that involves 146 samples to be analyzed with SMART PLS 3.0. The findings of this study show that the switching load has a substantial impact on youthful users of online transportation in Jakarta's desire to switch payment methods to OVO. Furthermore, this study demonstrates that the switching burden has no substantial impact on young users' happiness with OVO payment methods for online transportation in Jakarta. The study's third finding reveals that online transportation users in Jakarta's desire to switch to an OVO payment method has a substantial impact on their satisfaction with the service. According to the findings, there is a considerable effect of the desire to switch on user satisfaction, which can be used as a signal for service providers to consider attraction elements for switching, such as cheaper promotional programs than competitors.

Abstract

More attention should be paid to the emotional side of the service experience. This is because customer satisfaction is highly dependent on how services are delivered and may affect future service delivery. In this context, it is assumed that emotions will affect customer dissatisfaction behavior and pleasure service satisfaction differently according to the perceived quality as a parameter. In this study, a quantitative data collection method was adopted by distributing questionnaires to 268 respondents. Research shows that different types of dissatisfaction and customer satisfaction can lead to different outcomes due to perceived quality effects. This research shows perceived quality has a significant impact on behavioral outcomes for hedonic services, especially positive emotions, compared to negative emotions. Future research is expected to dig more relation between emotion and other regulatory variables to provide a different perspective.
