Abstract

Abstract. With the increasing in advanced technology and digitization, it has encouraged several industries to transform their business process, including the printing industry. Conventional printing products are starting to be abandoned by prospective customers because they are considered to be irrelevant and efficient.  This is the background for several printing companies to diversify their products to maintain business continuity. PT. XYZ started its business development by establishing a new label and packaging product division, which is predicted to still have a lot of demand in the next few years. Data collection is done by interviews and secondary data. In this research, an analysis of the company's external and internal factors in the new division of packaging labels will be carried out using PESTEL and VRIO analysis. From the results of the analysis, it is then used as the basis for determining a business development strategy using the TOWS matrix so that it can compete and is able to maintain overall business continuity.   Abstrak. Dengan semakin meningkatnya kemajuan teknologi dan digitalisasi, mendorong beberapa industri untuk melakukan transformasi dalam bidang usahanya, termasuk pada industri percetakan. Produk percetakan konvensional mulai ditinggalkan calon pelanggan karena dinilai sudah tidak relevan dan efisien. Hal tersebut melatarbelakangi beberapa perusahaan percetakan untuk melakukan diversifikasi produk untuk menjaga keberlangsungan usaha. PT. XYZ memulai pengembangan usahnya dengan pendirian divisi baru produk label dan kemasan, yang diprediksi masih memiliki banyak permintaan dalam beberapa tahun kedepan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan data sekunder. Dalam penelitian ini, akan dilakukan analisa faktor ekternal dan internal perusahaan pada divisi baru label kemasan dengan menggunakan analisis PESTEL dan VRIO. Dari hasil analisis eksternal dan internal yang dilakukan, kemudian dijadikan dasar penentuan strategi pengembangan bisnis menggunakan matriks TOWS agar dapat bersaing dan mampu menjaga keberlangsungan bisinis secara keseluruhan

Abstract

Abstract Aiming to determine the effect of work-life balance on work engagement through work meaningfulness as mediation for gig workers, this research is specifically for online motorcycle drivers in Indonesia, especially in Surabaya and its surroundings. The object of the research was related to the phenomenon of online motorcycle driver profession in Indonesia, which amounted to 2.7 million, due to the flexibility offered and proven to reduce TPT (Integrated Unemployment Rate). Research was conducted with quantitative methods by collecting survey data using questionnaires to 491 online motorcycle drivers. Data is processed using structural equation modeling with AMOS software. The result show that work-life balance influences work meaningfulness and work engagement, work meaningfulness influences work engagement, and work meaningfulness can mediate the influence between work-life balance on work engagement. This study is expected to enrich the research literacy of the gig workers object, especially online motorcycle drivers, due the gig workers are not permanent employees of a company. Abstract

Abstract. The existence of Jaya Pelita Cooperative in Pangolombian Village, Tomohon Selatan, Tomohon, and its benefits to the community. The cooperative is one of the solutions so that people can develop their business by borrowing money from the cooperative, although with a relatively large interest rate and high administrative costs, it is still attractive to the community because of the easy requirements. This research uses a qualitative method. The results of the research obtained from interviews conducted with several customers include; cooperatives are very helpful for those who need funds to open a business and meet family needs, and cooperative loans are used for daily needs. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the existence of Jaya Pelita Cooperative is very helpful to the people of Pangolombian Village. Researchers suggest that the Cooperative should not provide admin fees and interest fees that are too high for customers. The researcher hopes that by reading this article, other researchers will be motivated and inspired to conduct other research to make a positive contribution to other communities.

Abstract

Abstract. Education as a learning tool that can increase insight and knowledge and make the community have more value and be able to explore and develop them existing potentials, so that they become quality human resources. The government provides an allocation of education funds with a minimum amount of 20% of the total state budget each year. With this high budget allocation, education in Indonesia should be able to reach all people. However, children drop out of school still happen because of motivation and economic factors. Most of the education budget allocation is still used for the payment of salaries for teachers so that the education quality has not been considered, even though it should be with a large budget that the education quality can be improved and developed. The purpose of this study is to find out how the education budget allocations in the APBN in Indonesia. The research method is to conduct a literature review. The results obtained are: 1. Education budget is allocated more for local governments than for the central government. 2. Indonesia has a large proportion of the expenditure budget and this budget is mostly used to pay teachers. 3. There has been no effort to improve the quality of education that has been able to motivate people to attend education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine perceived value and trust that can influence intention to recommend to users of online mutual fund investment applications, namely Bibit, with satisfaction as the mediating variable. The type of this study is a quantitative approach. The population were individuals who had used the service of Bibit application and the samples were 160 respondents. The data analysis technique used is partial least squares. The results of the study show that trust has a positive effect on satisfaction and intention to recommend, and satisfaction itself has a positive effect on intention to recommend. On the other hand, perceived value does not have a positive effect on satisfaction and intention to recommend. Last, the satisfaction variable has a positive effect in mediating the effect of trust on intention to recommend, but does not have a positive effect in mediating the effect of perceived value on intention to recommend. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of firm size and world container index on profitability on logistics companies in Asia and Pacific. Firm size is proxied by total revenue and profitability is measured by return on total assets (ROA) and return on total cost (ROTC). World Container Index (WCI) is measured in units of US Dollars per 40 ft container. This research also explores information related to the profitability of logistics companies in Asia and Pacific during and before the Covid-19 period. The data used in this study is secondary data sourced from the annual report of logistics sector companies available in the TP Catalyst Oriana commercial database for the period 2017-2021. The research sample is selected using the statistical screening method so that 1,959 companies are sampled. Data analysis for hypothesis testing using multiple regression analysis with the Stata program. The results show that firm size and WCI have a significant effect on ROA and ROTC. The research suggests that even during the peak of Covid-19, the logistics sector has a positive financial performance and tends to increase. Keyword : firm size, world container index, ROA, ROTC

Abstract

Abstract.  This study aims to determine the effect of brand awareness, brand positioning, and brand image on loyalty through brand satisfaction as an intervening variable. An online questionnaire was conducted on 120 Chatime consumers in Bandung using accidental sampling technique. This study uses a quantitative approach and Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) in analyzing data. The results showed that brand awareness and brand positioning had a positive but not significant effect on brand satisfaction, while brand image had a positive and significant effect on brand satisfaction. Brand satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on loyalty. Brand satisfaction cannot mediate the relationship between brand awareness and loyalty and brand positioning and loyalty, however it can mediate the relationship between brand image and loyalty.   Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh brand awareness, brand positioning, dan brand image terhadap loyalitas melalui brand satisfaction sebagai variabel intervening. Kuesioner online dilakukan terhadap 120 konsumen Chatime di Kota Bandung menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) untuk menganalisa data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa brand awareness dan brand positioning memiliki pengaruh yang positif namun tidak signifikan terhadap brand satisfaction, sementara brand image memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap brand satisfaction. Brand Satisfaction memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap loyalitas. Brand satisfaction tidak dapat memediasi hubungan antara brand aweraness dan loyalitas dan brand positioning dan loyalitas, namun dapat memediasi hubungan antara brand image dan loyalitas.

Abstract

Abstract. Being the host of the Olympics is an honor in itself. Because by hosting the Olympics it is hoped that it will have a good impact on the country's economy. Many countries in the world are competing to host the Olympics, and indeed the results of several countries do have an impact on the country's economy. With this data, it was also found that there were very significant changes in the economies of countries that hosted the Olympics, such as Bei Jing and Brazil. By using benchmarks based on GDP Growth, Unemployment and Foreign Direct Investment, it is expected to be able to answer the economic growth of each country that is hosting the Olympics.

Abstract

Abstract. Economic integration in ASEAN5+3 is formed after the implementation of free trade in ASEAN. The purposed of ASEAN formation to create stable, welfare and competitive economy. One of the requirements to create the currency union will depend on the level of business cycles synchronization with other countries. The more similar of business cycles among countries the more possible to create a regime of collective exchange rate. The Objective of this research is to  find out the determinants factor potentially influence the occurrence of business cycles synchronization in ASEAN5+3. This research involves time series data 2002 – 2013 and the cross section data of eight ASEAN plus three countries by using dynamic panel instruments. The estimated result shows that the variable of trade intensity, finance integration, similarity of structure industry, coordination fiscal policy, coordination monetary policy and inflation effect significantly the business cycle synchronization.   Abstrak.  Integrasi ekonomi di ASEAN5+3 terbentuk setelah diterapkannya perdagangan bebas di ASEAN. Tujuan pembentukan ASEAN untuk menciptakan perekonomian yang stabil, sejahtera, dan kompetitif. Salah satu persyaratan untuk membentuk kesatuan mata uang akan bergantung pada tingkat sinkronisasi siklus bisnis dengan negara lain. Semakin mirip siklus bisnis antar negara, semakin besar kemungkinan terciptanya rezim nilai tukar kolektif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor determinan yang berpotensi mempengaruhi terjadinya sinkronisasi siklus bisnis di ASEAN5+3. Penelitian ini menggunakan data time series 2002 – 2013 dan data cross section delapan negara ASEAN plus tiga negara dengan menggunakan instrumen panel dinamis. Hasil estimasi menunjukkan bahwa variabel intensitas perdagangan, integrasi keuangan, kesamaan struktur industri, koordinasi kebijakan fiskal, koordinasi kebijakan moneter dan inflasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap sinkronisasi siklus bisnis.

Abstract

Quality employees rely on employee management. Career development is one of the employee management strategies. To get an effective career development will require procedural fairness in determining career development activities so that employees get job satisfaction.The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of procedural justice on job satisfaction. And the role of career development as an intervening variable in the effect of procedural justice on job satisfaction. Samples from this study were all employees in the HR department, amounting to 34 people. The data analysis technique used is the analysis of the alternative method of Structural Equation Model of Partial Least Square.The results of the study explained that procedural fairness positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Procedural fairness positive and significant impact on career development. Career development and a significant positive influence job satisfaction. Career development mediates the effect of procedural justice on job satisfaction.
