Abstract

In the rapidly evolving landscape of Industry 4.0, startup companies are fostering innovation, attracting investment, and creating job opportunities, thus pivotal to economic growth. Despite their potential, the success rate of Indonesian startups achieving unicorn or decacorn status remains low. Many Indonesian startups face significant challenges such as limited access to funding, market competition, and operational inefficiencies, leading to high rates of closure and bankruptcy. Addressing these issues is crucial, to ensure that Indonesian startups in achieving significant growth and investment success, innovative solutions are essential. This study explores the implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems as a strategic approach to enhance the sustainability and competitive edge of startups. Through a systematic literature review, founder/manager interviews and expert interviews, the research identifies ERP as a crucial tool for integrating business processes, improving operational efficiency, and enabling data-driven decision-making. While ERP alone does not guarantee startup success, it offers significant advantages by providing real-time insights into company operations, which are vital for strategic planning and investor confidence. The findings serve as a guide for startups aiming to implement ERP systems to support their business continuity and growth. Abstract

In this adult and business world, the development of the business world and business is very fast and everyone is competing. Companies must continue to innovate for survival and must even present good and correct financial reports. One thing that can be done is to conduct an audit as a third party with integrity. The study was conducted using SmartPLS testing. This study aims to test the effect of audit fees and audit reputation on audit delay and audit quality, as well as the role of audit delay as a moderating variable. The results of the study indicate that audit fees have a significant effect on audit delay with a negative relationship, while audit reputation has a positive and significant effect on audit delay. Audit delay also affects audit quality significantly with a negative relationship. Audit fees affect audit quality but with a negative relationship. Audit reputation has a positive effect on audit quality. However, audit delay is unable to moderate the relationship between audit fees and audit quality, but is able to moderate the relationship between audit reputation and audit quality significantly with a negative relationship direction.

Abstract

Abstract: This study examines the influence of external and internal factors on the profitability of banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) between 2019 and 2023. Specifically, it investigates the impact of world uncertainty and economic policy uncertainty (external factors), as well as the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) and Non-Performing Loans (NPL) (internal factors). Using secondary data sourced from the annual reports of these banks, a panel data regression analysis was conducted, employing the random effects model to assess these relationships. The results indicate that world uncertainty and CAR positively influence bank profitability, while NPL has a negative effect. In contrast, economic policy uncertainty is found to have an insignificant impact on profitability. This research contributes to understanding how both global and internal dynamics shape the financial performance of banks in Indonesia, providing insights for policymakers and financial institutions aiming to navigate uncertainties. Abstract

Stock prices can indicate a company's development activity and show the investment commitment made by investors. However, under certain conditions, there is often a significant decline in stock prices which is called a market crash, such as due to geopolitical risk. This study aims to examine how geopolitical risk affects market crashes and how ESG performance is able to suppress market crashes. This study was conducted quantitatively on 64 companies with 353 observations in the period 2013-2022. Testing was carried out using panel data regression. The results of the study showed that GPR did not have a significant effect on market crashes, so ESG performance was also unable to moderate the effect of GPR on market crash risk.

Abstract

The competition in the beauty industry in Indonesia is becoming increasingly intense, as evidenced by the performance differences between Sephora.co.id and Sociolla.com. The higher total visits and rankings of Sociolla.com indicate a significant performance gap. This study aims to examine the effects of Store Environment, Product Quality, and Price Fairness on Customer Satisfaction, as well as the effects of Word-of-Mouth (WOM) and Trust on Repurchase Intention among Sephora's cosmetic store consumers. The research employs a descriptive approach with a quantitative method. Data was collected from 271 respondents via Google Forms and analyzed using SmartPLS 4.0. The results indicate that Store Environment, Product Quality, and Price Fairness have a significant positive effect on Customer Satisfaction, which, along with Word-of-Mouth (WOM) and Trust, also has a significant positive effect on Repurchase Intention. Managerial implications emphasize the importance of improving customer satisfaction, creating Referral Programs to enhance WOM, evaluating pricing strategies, and designing stores with unique layouts to attract more visitors.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of quality management (QM) practices on organizational performance and innovation in higher education institutions (HEIs), which face increasing challenges from global competition, technological changes, and funding pressures. While QM practices have been extensively studied in manufacturing and service sectors, their application in HEIs remains underexplored, particularly in terms of distinguishing between soft (human-centered) and hard (technical) practices. This research addresses that gap by adopting a multidimensional perspective to examine how both soft and hard QM practices influence organizational performance and sustainability. The findings show that balancing soft QM elements, such as top management support, student focus, supplier management, people management, strategic planning, with hard QM processes, like process management, information and analysis, continuous improvement, and program design are critical to improving performance and fostering sustainability in HEIs.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of parasocial relationship mediation on the relationship between source credibility (attractiveness, expertise, and trustworthiness) and purchase intention and the moderating effect of self congruity on the relationship between parasocial relationship and purchase intention using Stray Kids as an endorser. This study is a causal research study with a quantitative approach. The sampling collection technique used in the study is non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling type. The target population used in this study are k-pop fans who idolize the boy group Stray Kids and know the Ultra Milk x Stray Kids product. The sample used in the study was 150 respondents. The software used to test the study was smartPLS 3 using the SEM PLS analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that attractiveness has a significant positive impact directly on purchase intention, parasocial relationships mediate the relationship between source credibility and purchase intention, and self congruity is proven to have no moderating effect on the relationship between parasocial relationships and purchase intention.
