Abstract

Bank’s exposure to market risks significantly affects bank's income, profit and return even though it is not its primary source of income. This study will analyze the relationship between foreign exchange rate risk using the Value at Risk method against the rate of return on assets invested by banks. The data used is sourced from data on the Net Open Position of 5 Banks in Indonesia in 2021, 2022, 2023 in 5 foreign currencies, calculated with Value at Risk approach in portfolio currencies, as the independent variables. Regression analysis was carried out simultaneously with the financial ratios of CAR, NPL, and NIM as control variables. The results obtained showed that the increase in foreign exchange rate risk with the Value at Risk method along with CAR and NIM have a positive correlation with the increase in RoA and the NPL ratio had a negative correlation with the increase in RoA.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the relationship between the independent variable Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the mediating variable Intellectual Capital measured through the Variable Added Intellectual Coefficient (VAIC), which includes Human Capital Efficiency (HCE), Structural Capital Efficiency (SCE), and Capital Employed Efficiency (CCE), and the dependent variable firm value represented by Tobin’s Q. Additionally, control variables such as firm size, leverage, and sustainability reporting are included in the analysis. Data for this study were obtained from companies listed in the IDX Energy sector index during the period 2018-2022. Based on the research findings, a significant relationship was found between Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Tobin’s Q, indicating that CSR practices contribute to firm value as measured by Tobin’s Q. The mediating variable, Intellectual Capital, also has a significant impact on Tobin’s Q. The results of the mediation model analysis indicate that intellectual capital plays a role as an intermediary in the relationship between CSR and Tobin’s Q.

Abstract

This study examines the factors influencing the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. By integrating the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), the research explores how perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and social influence impact MSME attitudes and behavioral intentions toward AI adoption. A quantitative method using path analysis and structural equation modeling (SEM) is employed to test the relationships between independent variables (AI adoption) and dependent variables (MSME performance), with data analysis conducted using Smart PLS 4.0 software. A quantitative approach is used to measure variables based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). This study explores the factors influencing the adoption and utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) using a framework combining TAM and UTAUT. The findings highlight that perceived usefulness and effectiveness positively shape attitudes toward AI, as do ease of use and effort expectancy. Ease of use also enhances perceptions of AI’s usefulness and effectiveness. Behavioral intention to adopt AI is influenced by perceived benefits, ease of use, and social influence, with gender, age, and experience moderating these effects. Attitudes toward AI strongly drive behavioral intention, which subsequently leads to actual usage. Facilitating conditions, such as technological support and infrastructure, also play a key role in enabling usage, especially for experienced users and when adoption is voluntary. These findings emphasize the importance of usability, perceived value, and contextual factors in encouraging AI adoption in SMEs.

Abstract

Understanding quality services and products in a business is one of the factors that needs attention, especially in dealing with rapidly changing trends. Moreover, changes in trends are closely related to changes in consumer behavior. Consumers will easily switch purchases if they feel dissatisfied. Therefore, this study examines how service quality and product quality can influence purchasing decisions made by consumers. Data shows that despite an increase in coffee consumption in Indonesia, Kintsugi Terrace sales have fluctuated, with a significant decline from August to November 2024. Data collection involved 97 respondents selected through non-probability with purposive sampling. The results show that simultaneously service quality and product quality have a significant positive effect on purchasing decisions by 66.7%.
