Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze and describe Coastal Community Participation in Lake Tondano Preservation Efforts. This research uses a qualitative approach through observation, interviews, document research, primary and secondary data sources, and uses data analysis techniques. The focus of this research utilizes 5 indicators of community participation according to Huraerah. The Minahasa Regency Government seeks to involve local communities through socialization and training in order to achieve effective results in order to preserve Lake Tondano. However, the lack of coordination between the community, village government, and related authorities is still an obstacle. The community also still carries out activities that can unwittingly affect the state and environment around the lake. Although the community has a very good contribution, there needs to be more active awareness in the preservation of Lake Tondano. Minahasa Regency government can facilitate and actively involve the surrounding community in preserving Lake Tondano and also for the local community to be more sensitive to the state of the surrounding environment and more actively participate in contributing to the preservation of Lake Tondano.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of Augmented Reality (AR) interactivity on digital behavioral intentions in e-commerce, with AR personalization serving as a mediating variable. Focusing on 148 Generation Z respondents in Indonesia who have used AR Try-On features, the research employs a quantitative approach using an online questionnaire and data analysis via Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through SmartPLS. The results demonstrate that AR interactivity significantly enhances digital behavioral intentions, while personalization amplifies this effect by tailoring AR experiences to individual preferences. The combined influence of interactivity and personalization is particularly strong, highlighting the importance of integrating these elements into e-commerce strategies. These findings are especially relevant in the context of Indonesia's rapidly growing e-commerce market, where consumer preferences are diverse and technology adoption is high. The study provides actionable insights for e-commerce businesses aiming to optimize their digital marketing strategies by leveraging AR technologies to drive higher engagement, satisfaction, and conversion rates. Limitations of the study include the sample size and reliance on self-reported data, suggesting avenues for future research with larger and more diverse samples. Keywords: Augmented Reality (AR), Digital Behavioral Intentions, Interactivity, Personalization, E-commerce, Gen Z, Digital Marketing

Abstract

Abstract. Regional Tax is a mandatory contribution to the region that is owed by an individual or entity that is coercive based on the law by not getting direct compensation and is used for regional purposes for the maximum prosperity of the people. Regional Original Revenue (PAD) is the revenue obtained by the region from sources within its own territory which is collected based on regional regulations in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. The Minahasa region is located in North Sulawesi Province which consists of Minahasa Regency, South Minahasa Regency, North Minahasa Regency, and Southeast Minahasa Regency. The purpose of this study is to compare the effectiveness and contribution of regional taxes to PAD in 4 districts in the Minahasa area in 2019-2023. Minahasa Regency and Southeast Minahasa Regency have been effective and even very effective in their regional tax revenues, while South Minahasa Regency is quite effective in 2021 and North Minahasa is still less effective in 2020 and quite effective in 2021. Meanwhile, the level of regional tax contribution to local revenue in North Minahasa Regency is very good compared to Minahasa Regency, South Minahasa Regency, and Southeast Minahasa.

Abstract

Burnout is a condition of exhaustion that includes physical, emotional, and mental aspects due to prolonged stress in the nursing profession. High workload, significant emotional distress, and lack of institutional support can trigger this condition. Study aims to evaluate the effect of nurse burnout on the quality of patient care and adverse events in a hospital, by considering the role of work engagement as a mediator. Background of this study is based on the increase in patient safety incidents as well as the high turnover rate of nurses over the period 2022 to 2024, which reflects significant challenges in the healthcare system and its potential impact on quality of care. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional research design and sample data in this study was taken using non-probability sampling method, by purposive sampling obtained from nurses in three private hospitals using a questionnaire. There were 282 eligible samples and analyzed with PLS-SEM. Results show the model explained 21.6% of the variation in adverse event occurrence (R² = 0.216), 39.3% of quality of patient care (R² = 0.393), and 2.6% of work engagement (R² = 0.026). A moderate predictive ability was found for adverse events (Q² = 0.168), while quality of patient care (Q² = 0.022) and work engagement (Q² = 0.016) were moderately predictive. CVPAT of this study shows that the PLS-SEM model has better predictive ability compared to the indicator average (IA) and linear model (LM) (negative ALD value and p-value ≤ 0.05) which indicates adequate predictive ability.

Abstract

As market behavior and technology develop, lifestyle and social media marketing become important variables that greatly influence purchasing decisions about a product. Activities or habits, interests and opinions which are lifestyle indicators will determine whether consumers want to buy local products or not. On the other hand, current social media marketing which more often displays foreign products is a challenge for local products to gain a place in the hearts of consumers, especially young students, namely students. This phenomenon was raised by researchers to conduct research aimed at exploring the extent to which lifestyle and social media marketing influence decisions to buy local products among FEB UNSRAT Manado students. This research is quantitative research with multiple regression methods. The population is all FEB UNSRAT students, with the sample determined using the purposive sampling method. The research results found that lifestyle had a significant influence on the decision to buy local products, social media marketing had a significant influence on the decision to buy local products, and lifestyle and social media marketing together had an influence on the decision to buy local products among FEB UNSRAT students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the revolution initiated when Fidel Castro led resistance against the government ofPresident Fulgencio Batista, who had previously staged a coup against the general election in 1952. Following therevolution in Cuba, Fidel Castro, as the new head of government, transformed Cuba's system of governance to bebased on the principles of communism. Observing the impact of the adoption of communism under Fidel Castro'sadministration, the United States decided to impose economic sanctions on Cuba. The purpose of this study is toexplore how the imposition of economic sanctions on Cuba can be understood through the perspective of CarlSchmitt's “State of Exception.” To address this, the author employs Carl Schmitt’s concept of the "State ofException," which explains how sovereign power possesses the authority to suspend the legal system. Thus, thispower can declare a "State of Exception" if a country faces an existential threat to its integrity. A qualitativeapproach and descriptive method form the basis for data collection and analysis. The sanctions imposed by theUnited States, from the Eisenhower administration to the Reagan administration, have had various implications, encompassing economic, tourism, and health sectors. This study finds that, through Carl Schmitt's perspective of thestate of exception, the economic sanctions against Cuba can be understood as a sovereign act taken by the UnitedStates based on a political decision to address what it perceives as a threat to its national interests.
