Abstract

Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa is a cement producer that uses Tiga Roda brand name. The market share of Tiga Roda cement went down significantly from 53% 40 43% in the period of 2000 to 2004 in Bogor. The company’s global market of cement had seen some new competitors, the main competitors are Kujang, Gresik and Padang. There was an indication that Tiga Roda consumers have been brand switching to Kujang and Gresik. In order to improve Tiga Roda’s market share the writer surveyed 40 respondents at Citeureup Bogor Regency to find out the cause of this decline. In table Chi-Square Test (Table 20) showed that cement bag satisfaction has a correlation with brand name, as can be seen by the Sig. value of 0.042. This indicated that cement bag has a correlation with brand name. In table Chi-Square Test (Table 23) the price satisfaction has a correlation with brand name, as can be seen by the Sig. value of 0.001. This indicated that the price satisfaction has a correlation with brand name. In Table 5 we can see that the satisfaction average for price attribute is minor, the performance for Tiga Roda was 12.90 points. The availability of Tiga Roda product is minor, the performance was 13.5 points, and the consumers said that Tiga Roda is not easily found at the material shops. The consumers’ expectation is very important, and the most important attribute is number 13, price attribute, followed by product availability. We can see Tiga Roda consumers’ satisfaction at Cartesian Diagram (Picture 5) is as follows: 1. The main priorities are the ability to stay dehydrated and the cement color for Tiga Roda to improve performance. Respondents are not satisfied by the current ability to stay dehydrated and the cement color, respondents have an image that blackish colored cement is better. 2. The attributes that should be maintained are the easiness of cement handling and improve it if it is possible. Tiga Roda performance in this attribute is very good and is very important. 3. Low priority attribute include the shop’s service, the cement bag’s strength, bags that fulfill consumer’s needs and aesthetics values are of lower priorities. 4. Excessively valued by consumers are the product availability and price attribute, respondents appreciated the product availability and prices are very high but the company’s performances on those attributes are low.

Abstract

The study is aimed at finding out the influence of students’ learning discipline and learn-ing environment, either physical or non-physical to the learning achievement.The research had been done since they were in the first grade till they were in the third grade, for around two a half years. Data collection was done in January and February 2003, either primary or se-condary. The research population is all students of IPA programmers (IPA-1 and IPA-2), consisting of 78 students.Data collected are their marks in their report books, from grade one to grade three, their time management, responsibility, daily behaviour, learning target, physical environment condition, the use of media and teachers motivation. The data was tabulated and analyzed with statistical analysis, by the use of SPSS programme. The research result shows that learning discipline and environment all together significantly influence the students’ achievement. This can be seen from the result of F- test (199.434) > F tabel (3.0718), or probality F (0.000) <  (0.05). But partially, learning environment gives a significant influence to the learning achievement (t-test=18.512 > t-tabel =1.980 or probibility=0.000 < =0.05), while learning discipline does not (t-test=0.123 > t-tabel =1.980 or probibility=0.902 <  =0.05)The regression square test shows that the standardized coefficient beta for the learning discipline variable is 0.006 and learning environment variable is 0.415. The test result shows that both variables give a significant influence. Although the learning environment is higher, the coefficient correlations show the possitive ones (R=0,917). Therefore, it can be concluded that the higher the students’ learning disci-pline and the more conducive of learning enviranment, the better the students’ achievement. The variety of learning achievement caused by the variety of learning disipline and environment is 84,2%, as shown by R-square change (0.842). Statistically, this implies that the rest (15,8%) is influenced by other factors. The other factors, to the writer,might be parents. Intellegence, relationship to friends and students’ phy-sical condition.

Abstract

This study attempted to investigate the relationship between leadership style ofoffice of University Head and leadership style of office of University Head of with employeesperformance of the University of Ibn Khaldun Bogor. This study conducted by survey method. Target population is all employees of the University of Ibn Khaldun Bogor of 32 totally, whice of 29 samples taken randomly.Reseach instrument for leadership style of office of University Head and based on content validity.The mainstay is calculated by alpha cronbach formulation. Tes result indicates that each instrumentmainstay as follows : Instrument of employees performance is rxy = 0.349, leadership style of office ofUniversity Head and office academic affair, respectively 0.304.Quantitatively, data analysis conducted by descriptive statistic and analysis technique of productmoment correlation and regression method.Test result conclude following items: firstly, there is a positive relationship between leadership styleof office of university head ( X1 ) and employees performance (Y) is with significance level is 0.05.secondly, there is positive relationship between leadership of office academic affair (X2) with employeesperformance (Y) is with significance level is 0,05. thirdly, there is positive relationship between leadership style of office of university head and office of academic affair with employees performance simultaneously,viz, with significance level is 0.05.Whereas, variable contribution of leadership style of office of university head with employeesperformance is and variable contribution of leadership style of office of academic affair with employeesperformance is.Kata kunci  : gaya kepemimpinan, kinerja pegawai.

Abstract

Considering the major role of human resource in achieving the company’s goal the company should provide an operational skill or knowledge directly from manager to employee’s levels. The company should give the employees a better understanding that the training is provided not only to execute the pre-determined program smoothly, but also to increase the quality of their achievement in their own field that in turn will influence their income, performance and future career planning. Comparing the statistical scores gained by the employee before and after the training proves the significant difference. After the training the score was higher (3.87%) than before the training (3.08%), which means that the training gave good impact. Other statistical computation using t – paired samples with α = 0.005 and degree of freedom (df = 29) also proved the difference where t counted (-38.445) is bigger than t table (-1.669). The training was basically aiming at formulating the expected ability from the employees to change their behavior. Such a change was formulated in terms of behavioral change and a short-term educational program by using systemic and organized procedures, so that operative employees learn technical and skill knowledge for specific purpose.

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to know whether the implementation of Human resource competency at Jasa Marga (Ltd) has been run well in terms of employee recruitment. The two variables being compared in this study were the competency of the employees who hold positions and the work competency itself. The study focuses on analyzing the existing employees competency with the needed job requirements.  The research used descriptive method with qualitative approach by interviewing related parties and conducting a field observation concerning the problem being researched. From measuring competency of the employees who hold positions at Jasa Marga (Ltd) it was found that there were still a few employees whose qualification were below the job requirements. It was proposed that Jasa Marga (Ltd) should continuously increase the quality of the human resources through development training in short term and long-term programs in order to fulfill the predetermined job requirements. The application of the employees competency training should be conducted interactively to produce professional and transparent human resource because it function as initial filter from the early employees recruitment and selection programs.

Abstract

The evaluation of performance is one of the important tasks done by a manager or a leader. In evaluating employees’ performance like and dislike is one factor that should be avoided by an evaluator to maintain the objectivity of the evaluation. The evaluation is necessary because it can be used to improve decision concerning personnel or to give feedback regarding the employees’ performance. There are two variables that can influence performance the first one is individual variable including attitude, characteristics, interests and motivation, experience, age, sex, education and other factors. The second one is situational variable that consists of physical and work factor, types of training and evaluation, wage system and social environment. Thus, it can be concluded that organization culture and employee’s performance are interdependent factors. The importance of organization culture in the organization life will increase employees’ performance. The organization culture that is employed at PT. Nittoh Presisi Indonesia are: Seiri (orderly), Seiton (neatness), Seiso (cleanliness), Seiketsu (eternal) and Sitshuke (discipline). The criteria in evaluating employee’s performance at PT Nittoh Presisi Indonesia among other things are: attendance sheet, obeying company’s rules, understanding of order, work diligence, partnership among colleagues, the quantity of target goal, the quality of the target work and capability and potential development. From ANOVA results on experiment variables it was found that F counted was 62.966 while the value of F table with degree of freedom (df = 2 and 56) on the α = 0.005 was 2.80. Therefore, since the value of F counted is bigger than F table (62.966 > 2.80), it can be concluded that the organization culture influences the employee’s performance at PT Nittoh Presisi Indonesia.

Abstract

Work ethics means as an evaluative aspect that owns by individual or group in giving evaluation about a work activity. While close controlling is a kind of steering activity done by supervisor of each employee in improving work performance in order to achieve company’s goal effectively and efficiently. On the other hand, job satisfaction is an emotional condition that reflects someone’s feeling towards his/her job in a positive scope impact and employees attitudes on the job and all aspects they face in their work environment. The research study on the influence of close controlling on job satisfaction and work ethics shows that respondents graded the accomplishment of close controlling at Bappeda Bogor Regency averagely as good. Whilst the job satisfaction and work ethics scores at Bappeda Bogor Regency was interpreted as quite good. From Linear Regression squared analysis conducted on respondent’s data, it can be concluded that there is no or little impact between close controlling and job satisfaction at government local office, agency and district in Bogor Regency.

Abstract

Compensation is a reward in forms of money that was given by the head of a company to his/her employees in order the employees to maintain their high motivation to reach the company’s goal. In this research the writer would like to know to what extend the compensation analysis model can increase the motivation of employees at Rumah Makan Minang Raya Bogor. The application of suitable compensation for each employee is the most crucial problem. Therefore, the right handling of the human resource management is needed. If this were done improperly it would lead to a dissatisfaction of the employees. The nature of compensation is to give a base to decide a decision and act to the employee involved in the administration process. The compensation (incentive) for every one is given once in every 3 months by the owner of the restaurant. The incentive is not flat and is based on workload, attendance, and type of job done by employees. The incentive is roughly ranges from 6% to 38% from the monthly compensation. The difference of incentive for each employee is decided on the expertise of each employee. From the results analysis by regression model it can be concluded that there was a significant result between satisfying compensation with the employee’s work motivation as shown by t counted (8.811) is bigger than t table (2.16). This means that X coefficient is significant with the regression equation Y = 12.043 + 0.673 X, if the satisfaction score increases 1 point then the employee’s motivation will increase 0.673. The incentive awarded to the employee as a supplement is aimed at maintaining employees in the long run as an attempt to create comfortable work condition and environment so that the employees can increase their performance.

Abstract

Itik merupakan ternak unggas tradisional yang banyak dibudidayakan oleh masyarakat, khususnya masyarakat di pedesaan. Namun demikian potensi tersebut belum sepenuhnya berkembang di seluruh wilayah propinsi di Indonesia. Dilihat dari struktur usaha yang dilakukan peternak ada beberapa tujuan utama dimana seseorang melakukan usaha budidaya itik. Yaitu  memelihara itik dengan tujuan menghasilkan bibit, untuk menghasilkan telor, untuk menghasilkan daging dengan memelihara itik memiliki tujuan ganda diantara tiga tujuan tersebut. Dilihat dari bentuk produk yang dihasilkan  maka ada bentuk produk yang tidak tahan lama dan produk tahan lama. Dengan kondisi produk yang demikian akan menentukan bentuk distribusi maupun jalur pasar yang berbeda-beda antara jenis produk yang satu dengan produk lainnya. Beberapa kasus dilapangan menunjukkan bahwa pola pemasaran hasil ternak itik mengarah pada pola pemasaran yang beragam

Abstract

Descriptive statistics analysis was applied in this research, and the method concerns to evaluate shopping behavior only, base on seven of Zeithaml’s dimentions. Statistic analysis uses t-test to evaluate the behavior difference between women who work outdoor and housewives. Total samples taken for this study are 99 housewives and 97 women who work outdoor. These samples are part of population with 12.320 housewives and 3.680 women employed to pick samples for their population, researcher uses slovin method. The gain of research shows us that there are not significant differences between wpman employed and housewives in shopping behavior. Results get t-value = 2,017 which less than ttable = 2,178.
