Abstract

The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of audio-visual on increasing the ability to recognize pregnancy danger signs as evidenced by the results obtained P value = 0.000 then p value <0.05. The use of audio visual signs of pregnancy danger can improve memory through stimulation of the senses of hearing and sight so that the message obtained is more optimal. The conclusion is that there is an influence of audio visuals on increasing the ability to recognize pregnancy danger signs. The problem faced by health services in the community is the lack of access to see the needs in depth for people with chronic diseases and people with disabilities to improve health and quality of life. This descriptive qualitative study aims to explore the application of health services in the management of chronic diseases and people with disabilities and their impact on quality of life. Precision Care offers a highly personalized and tailored approach to patient care, with the goal of improving their satisfaction and quality of life. The study participants were caregivers, Surabaya Hebat cadres and health service providers. A total of 20 participants were recruited using non-probability sampling with purposive sampling techniques. The findings showed that Precision Care provided more personalized and effective care, increased independence, and reduced disease symptoms. However, its implementation faces several challenges such as lack of training, inadequate infrastructure, and the need for policy support from the government. This study also highlights the importance of technology and effective communication in supporting Precision Care. Support from families and caregivers and their involvement in the care process are also considered important for the success of Precision Care. In conclusion, although Precision Care offers many benefits, its successful implementation is highly dependent on adequate policy support, infrastructure, training, and technology.

Abstract

Background: Research focusing on the quality of life after Caesarean Section (CS) and during subsequent pregnancies is still minimal. In addition, research on the quality of life after multiple CSs is still lacking. Several studies focus on the assessment of the quality of life of pregnant women after giving birth by comparing the type of birth: CS versus vaginal delivery (normal delivery). Objective: This study aims to compare the assessment of health-related quality of life in pregnant women who have a history of CS in the first, second and multiple CSs depending on the number of CSs in the pregnant woman's health history. Methods: A short longitudinal study will be conducted on pregnant women with a history of CS on the day before the planned caesarean section (CS)-T1, and on the third day after CS-T2. Pregnant women with a history of CS are divided into three groups. Group 1: never CS; Group 2: ever CS 1 time; Group 3: ever CS two or more times. Pregnant women will fill out a questionnaire regarding respondent characteristics, obstetric history, surgical or anesthesia history and the health-Related Quality of Life (HRQoL) Questionnaire. General linear model for repeated measurement is used by analyzing correlated and non-independent data that are measured repeatedly. Results: The results of this study showed that GLM with repeated measures was conducted to examine the effect of time (time I, time II and time III) on the quality of life variable. The analysis revealed a significant main effect of time, F (2.39) = 4750.43, p-value = 0.000, indicating that quality of life changed significantly at three time points. Conclusion: An individual approach is needed in planning pregnancy after cesarean, especially to prevent long-term health risks. Education and counseling to help mothers understand the recovery process and manage stress or anxiety. This study provides important insights for health professionals to improve post-cesarean services, both in terms of medical interventions and psychosocial support. Abstract

Background: Cervical cancer ranks second in prevalence in women in Indonesia. Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination has been proven effective in reducing the incidence and mortality from cervical cancer. HPV vaccination has been available in Indonesia since 2022 and the Indonesian Government is targeting 90% of girls to receive HPV immunization by 2030. The decision to vaccinate adolescent girls is generally left to parents. This study applies the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) to predict parents' desires and behaviors in carrying out HPV vaccination. Objective: This study aims to predict HPV vaccination behavior in parents who have adolescent daughters. Methods: A prospective study design was conducted for 3 months. 130 participants were recruited from 5 elementary schools in Takalar Regency, Indonesia by convenience sampling. Participants involved in this study were parents who have adolescent daughters, adolescent girls aged 11-12 years and are able to speak Indonesian, both literate and illiterate. The exclusion criteria were adolescent girls who were allergic to one of the ingredients in the HPV vaccination. Questionnaires used in this study such as the Health Behavior Survey HPV Vaccination Subscale, demographic data, and related health factors. Logistic regression was used to confirm the causal relationship of variables and to test the TPB constructs. Results: The final logistic regression model of undergoing HPV vaccination included the variables: parental income (OR: 4.60, 95% CI: 1.10 - 9.01). Conclusion: The results of this study indicate a relationship between parental income and HPV vaccination behavior.

Abstract

Background: Agriculture and food are negatively impacted by climate change, especially the long dry season caused by El Niño in Indonesia, especially in rural areas. High dependence on rainfall, land, and lack of representation in decision-making groups result in increased challenges and limited adaptive capacity of pregnant women in climate change including its impact on food security. Objectives: This study aims to characterize: 1) sensitivity to decreased food security related to El Niño for pregnant women; 2) pregnant women's perceptions of the impact of El Niño on food security during pregnancy; and 3) changes in food security and maternal and infant health over time, as observed by pregnant women in rural Indonesia. Methods: This study design is a qualitative design. This study was conducted in one district in South Sulawesi and Central Java Provinces. A semi-structured interview guide was used. Data analysis using qualitative thematic analysis methods of data using the constant comparative method. Transcripts were uploaded to NVivo© 12 to facilitate manual coding. with the constant comparative method and thematic analysis. Results: All informants did not know or did not understand the term El Niño. The most felt impacts due to the long dry season are drought and strong winds that make it difficult to obtain food. The way to overcome food insecurity is to utilize food that is still available to be processed into food that can be consumed and shared or shared with family to survive. Conclusion: Climate change has a significant impact on food security, especially in rural areas, which results in the risk of malnutrition in pregnant women.

Abstract

Objective: Hypertension is a disease that causes death silently or is called a silent killer. Many people with hypertension are not aware of the symptoms and problems that occur because there are no warning signs or symptoms (WHO, 2021). Risk factors that can affect the incidence of hypertension include sleep quality and stress. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between sleep quality and stress with blood pressure. Methods: This article design used correlational research with a "Cross Sectional" approach. The population of this study was the elderly in Puton Village, Diwek District, Jombang Regency, totaling 35 people. Sleep quality and stress were measured using a questionnaire. Blood pressure was measured using a sphygmomanometer according to standard guidelines. Data analysis by editing, coding, scoring, tabulation and statistical tests were carried out using the Spearman Rank test. Results: Most respondents have poor sleep quality. Most respondents are normal, not experiencing stress. Most respondents have systolic blood pressure with grade 1 hypertension. almost half of respondents have diastolic blood pressure with grade 1 hypertension and grade 2 hypertension. The results of the analysis between sleep quality and systolic and diastolic blood pressure obtained a p value> 0.05 which indicated that there was no relationship between sleep quality and blood pressure, both systolic and diastolic. This is the same as the relationship between stress with systolic and diastolic blood pressure, where the test results obtained a p value> 0.05 which indicates that there was no relationship between stress and blood pressure, either systolic or diastolic Conclusion: In addition to sleep quality and stress, there are other factors that affect blood pressure that cannot be controlled by researchers that have an impact on changes in blood pressure. Controlling the role factors is very necessary to obtain significant results.

Abstract

Objective: Maternal mortality, as defined by the World Health Organization (WHO), refers to death occurring during pregnancy or within 42 days of its occurrence, from conditions related to the pregnancy and its management, without being caused by injury or accident (Collier et al., 2020). In Indonesia, the maternal mortality rate (MMR) was recorded at 305 per 100,000 live births, caused by hypertension (9.62%), bleeding (9.38%), and other factors (68.18%). To reduce MMR globally, various programs have been implemented, including the Safe Motherhood Program, Childbirth Planning and Complication Prevention (P4K), and Penakib. Methods: The design of this study was Data analysis using Spearman's rho. The results of the study showed that the level of education and the number of pregnancies greatly affect self-efficacy. This is because the level of education and experience in pregnancy make mothers confident and motivated to maintain their health and that of their fetuses through early detection of pregnancy danger signs. Results: This study aims to explore the characteristics of pregnant women towards self-efficacy in detecting pregnancy danger signs. The quantitative correlational research method with a cross-sectional approach, with a population of 150 pregnant women and 115 respondents as samples.
