Jurnal Ilmu Ilmu Agribisnis: Journal of Agribusiness Science is published by the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, in collaboration with PERHEPI, the Indonesian Agricultural Economist Association. Abstract

The objectives of this research were to analyze the importance level of processed beef according to consumers and the factors that affect the purchase of beef by Padang restaurants in Bandar Lampung City.  Research samples consisting of 55 restaurants selected randomly and 165 consumers selected by using accidental sampling. Data were analyzed descriptively and analitically using regression.  The result showed that beef becomes the second most important processed food after processed chicken. As many as 64 respondents (38,79%) stated that the processed beef menu was the most important, 21 respondents (12,73%) said the processed beef menu was equally important, and 80 respondents (48,48%) said the processed beef menu was less important.  However, the importance level of processed beef did not affect on the purchase of beef.  It was because, not all consumers who considered processed beef most important always buy beef.  The budget allocation for beef, the number of visitors, the number of processed beef kinds, and the total number of seats affected the purchase of beef by Padang restaurants in Bandar Lampung.   Key words: beef, importance level, restaurants

Abstract

This research aims to find out marketing efficiency of red chili in Pringsewu District Lampung Province.Research site were selected deliberately. Sampling is done by following the line of marketing. This researchuses primary data and secondary data about. This research analyzed by marketing efficiency consist tochannel analysis, producers share, marketing margin and Profit Margin Ratio (PMR), price correlationanalysis, and elasticity of price transmission. The results showed that marketing system of red chili inPringsewu district is efficient. It is seen from the producers share of greater than 70 percent, althoughmarket structure of red chili in Pringsewu district is imperfectly competitive market (oligopsoni), thevariability market of red chili in Pringsewu district there are three marketing channels, profit margin ratio(PMR) at marketing of red chili is not prevalent, and then the value of elasticity price transmission of redchili in Pringsewu district is more than one.

Abstract

This research’s aims are to analyze  preference, patterns of consumption, and factors affecting of tiwul’s demand by consumers at food stall in Lampung Province. The study was conducted in South Lampung District and West Tulang Bawang District. There were four food stalls located at Dayasakti Village, Pulung Kencana Village, and Sidomulyo Village. Food stall sells tiwul as the main menu. There were 60 respondents in this study that was taken by accidental sampling. Data collection was carried out in February - June 2014. The method of analysis in this study is descriptive quantitative and verification analysis. The results showed that preference of tiwul by consumers at food stall in Lampung Province was at medium category. Attributes of tiwul that  wanted by consumers at stall food was low price (≤ Rp5,000), blackish brown color, chewy texture, not strong scent, little taste, and close mileage traveled. Consumption patterns of tiwul was as follows: consumption frequency of once to twice per month, usually consumed pure tiwul by the number of average consumption of 932.52 grams, and the reason for eating tiwul was because of the preference. Factors that significantly affected the demand of tiwul by consumers at food stall in Lampung Province was price of chicken gizzard, price of tempe, and ethnic. The side dish of gizzard chicken was as a complementary good and tempe was as a substitution good. Key words: consumption, demand, preference, tiwul

Abstract

This study aims to determine the household of farmers' level of poverty, the food consumption pattern of farmer’s household according to the score of Desirable Dietary Pattern (DDP), and the factors that affect the score of DDP of the farmers' household in Ruguk Village Ketapang Sub District South Lampung Regency.  The research was conducted in Ruguk Village, Ketapang Sub District of South Lampung Regency.  Sixty seven respondents were obtained by simple random sampling method. In this study, to determine food consumption pattern used a score of Desirable Dietary Pattern (DDP) in farmers' household and to know the factors that affect the score of DDP used multiple linear regression analysis.  The food consumptin pattern of farmers' household in Ruguk Village, South Lampung with score size of Desirable Dietary Patternwas good enough (88,25) and still under the recommended score of Desirable Dietary Pattern (DDP) and the variables that significantly affected PPH farmers' household were expenditure and the number of members of family. Key words: poverty, food consumption patterns, desirable dietary pattern

Abstract

This study aims to identify and formulate the needs of community around the PT PLN Katibung Sub District in South Lampung District on CSR program.  The research was conducted in the Gotong Royong, Mataram, Sukamaju, and KampungBaru villages of Katibung Sub District, South Lampung District as the locations of implementing CSR programs by PT PLN.  The number of 84 respondents was taken using proportional random sampling.  The analysis methods were quantitative and descriptive qualitative analysis.  The Results showed that: The needs of community around PT PLN included: 1) economy: developing the potential of the village to increase economic activities such as the potential for volcanic rocks in Gotong  Royong and Kampung Baru, marine and tourism potential in Sukamaju, and the potential of using fly ash in the Mataram, 2) social: public health improvement programs either through the establishment of free medical check up or health infrastructure as ‘Puskesdus’in four villages around PT PLN, 3)environmental: sanitation improvement program by widening and deepening gutter of PT PLN to anticipate  flood because of runoff in the Gotong Royong, Mataram, Sukamaju, and Kampung Baru villages. Abstract

The purposes of this research were to know the consumer knowledge of retail soy milk and the attitude of consumers towards retail soy milk. The research was conducted by survey method in a traditional market in Bandar Lampung which was chosen on purpose. The total samples were 100 consumers who had been buying retail soy milk when were found and be chosen using sampling convenience technique.  The data was collected in February until March 2014.  The research results showed that the knowledge of retail soy milk consumers were diverse and averagely in the middle level. Most consumers had good knowledge on the freshness, price, volume, and calcium content attributes of retail soy milk. The analysis results of the Fishbein multiattribute toward consumer attitudes showed that the attitude scores (Ao) of easiness of obtaining the product got the highest value of 2.02, followed by the attribute of benefits 1.75.  The attitude score (Ao) of retail soy milk was 9.50; this was in the positive category and also highly favored by consumers. Abstract

This research aims to determine the business entities performance of Amanah Cooperative, contribution of the cooperative toward development, and the satisfaction level of members to service performance at the cooperative.  This research was conducted at Amanah Cooperative in Langkapura subdistrict of Bandar Lampung City.  Respondents were 68 active members of Amanah Cooperative. Data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis, service quality (servqual), and importance performance analysis (IPA).  The results showed that Amanah Cooperative performance was included in medium category. Contributions of Amanah Cooperative development were seen from (a) obedience of the cooperative in tax payment which is zero because the cooperative suffered losses,  (b) employment growth  which was not yet known, because this year was the first year of cooperative activity, (c) the wage level of employees which was not good because it was less than regional minimum wage.  The members were not satisfied by services especially on the dimensions of responsiveness.  Attributes considered to be important were supporting facilities of the work space, supporting physical infrastructure for the reception area, counter staff, administrative employee rooms, completion service process of members from the beginning to the end, availability of brochures or bulletin boards, the service officer information, and the accuracy of the information provided. Key words: cooperative, performance, success

Abstract

Rice for poor household (raskin) program is one of the Indonesian government program to improve food for poor household (RTM) and to provide protection of RTM. The purposes of this research were to: (1)determine the effectiveness of raskin program in the area of Lampung Province, (2) determine the efficiency level of raskin distribution starting from it had been distributed until received by RTM, (3) determine therelationship between the effectiveness and the efficiency of raskin distribution and the constrain of raskin program implementation. The research areas were chosen based on the consideration that had the greatest poverty in their districts. There were 30 RTM and 45 RTM drawn as research samples from 1.290 RTM in Kangkung village and 1981 RTM in Merak Batin Village. The research data was analyzed by analysismethod of qualitative (descriptive) and quantitative. The research result showed that the effectiveness of raskin in Kangkung Village earned an average of 83.3%, based on Standard Measures of EffectivenessBased Research Affairs References, categorized as very effective; whereas, in Merak Batin Village earned an average of 66.2%, categorized as quite effective. The marketing efficiency in Kangkung village was 0.04 andin Merak Batin Village was 0.03; this indicated that the distribution of raskin in Lampung Province was efficient because the calculation of the efficiency of Raskin marketing was below one. Constraints in theimplementation of the program were the low raskin honesty, communication and lack of human resources.Keywords: raskin program, effectiveness and efficiency of raskin distributuion, RTM

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the perception and its related factors, motivation and its correlation to perception, the attitudes and its correlation to motivation of consumers in buying fresh cabbage.  This research was conducted at Pasir Gintung Market in Bandar Lampung.  Research data was collected during month of February to March 2014.  The numbers of samples as many as 60 respondents were drawn by accidental sampling.  Research data was analyzed by correlation analysis of Rank Spearman and by quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis.  The results showed that the perception, motivation, and attitude of consumers in buying fresh cabbage were categorized as high criteria.   The internal factors (knowledge, habits, desires, needs, and income) and external factors (price, color, freshness, availability, expired time, hygiene and safety of the cabbage, convenience and service of the market) correlated to the perception of consumers in buying fresh cabbage at Pasir Gintung Market.  Consumers’ perception correlated to their motivation; whereas consumers’ motivation correlated to their attitudes in buying fresh cabbage at Pasir Gintung Market. Abstract

The purposes of this research are to analyze the economic feasibility of cocoa farming and market of cocoa.  This research is conducted in two cocoa production centers of South Lampung Regency, Merbau Mataram and Way Panji sub districts.  This research is conducted by survey method.  The first goal is analyzed by investment criteria and sensitivity rate. The second goal is analyzed by marketing chain, market structure and marketing margins.  The research results showed that at 16.31% of interest rate, the 20 years lenght of intensive cultivation of cocoa farming in South Lampung Regency deserved NPV of Rp54,631,300.84; IRR 45.66%, Net B/C Ratio 8.20; Gross B/C 1.84 and PP 5.42.  The changes were the production cost increase of 6.51%, the production quantity decrease of 6.74% and the production price decrease of 18.85%, but the farm was still in the state of intensive cocoa feasible and profitable.  There are two marketing chain in South Lampung Regency, the market structure was oligopsonistic market with the distribution of ratio profit margin (RPM) was uneven.Key words: cocoa, economic, feasible, marketing
