Abstract

Abortion cases involving rape victims are a complex legal and humanitarian issue in Indonesia, particularly because regulations and social realities have not been entirely successful in protecting women's reproductive rights. Although the 2023 Criminal Code, Law No. 17 of 2023 on Health, Government Regulation No. 28 of 2024, and Minister of Health Regulation No. 2 of 2025 have provided a legal basis for abortion practices under certain conditions, in practice, abortion policies for rape victims do not yet fully reflect substantive justice. Normatively, regulations have recognized exceptions for abortion in cases of rape and medical emergencies, but various administrative barriers, social stigma, health workers' fear of criminalization, and unequal access to services make it difficult for victims to access safe and legal abortions. This study aims to analyze the position of women victims of rape in the framework of abortion law through the Feminist Legal Theory approach and the concept of Women's True Justice. The research method used is a literature study of relevant laws, fiqh literature, and journal articles. The results of the study show that laws that appear neutral remain gender biased in practice, with women being placed as moral objects rather than subjects of dignity who are entitled to bodily autonomy. Furthermore, the concept of True Justice for Women proves that abortion for rape victims can be justified as an effort to save lives (ḥifẓ al-nafs) and restore honor (ḥifẓ al-‘ird). The conclusion of this study emphasizes that substantive justice for victims can only be realized if regulatory reforms are accompanied by gender-sensitive implementation, simpler procedures, and systematic protection for victims and medical personnel. Keywords: Reproductive Rights, Abortion, Victims of Rape.

Abstract

Changes in the modern workplace require organizations to not only rely on efficiency and productivity, but also balance humanitarian, moral, and spiritual values as a solid ethical foundation. This study aims to examine the Qur'anic values in Surah Ali Imran verse 159, specifically rahmah (gentleness), shura (deliberation), and tawakal (spiritual trust), and their relevance in building a synergistic organizational structure design. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach through the thematic interpretation method (maudhu'i), supported by a literature analysis of modern management literature and Islamic leadership studies. The results show that the value of rahmah plays a role in shaping humanistic and empathetic emotional leadership; shura creates a participatory and collaborative decision-making mechanism; while tawakal strengthens spiritual resilience that supports organizational adaptation in facing the dynamics of change. These three values synergize to form a more adaptive, inclusive, and civilized organizational structure framework, so that it does not only focus on material achievements but also facilitates character development and blessings in organizational activities. This study proposes a spiritual synergy model as a new paradigm for management based on Qur'anic values that is relevant for addressing global challenges and building sustainable organizations.

Abstract

This study is a Research and Development (R&D) project using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The subjects were teachers and seventh-grade students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The developed learning media, a pop-up book, focused on the Islamic jurisprudence (Fikih) topic of purification from hadas and najis. The results indicate that the media development process followed the five ADDIE stages, obtaining avalidity score of 85% from media experts and 95% from material experts, both categorized as highly valid. Practicality tests showed an average of 89% from students and 94% from teachers, categorized as highly practical, with aspects of content, efficiency, and interactivity reaching 100%. Therefore, the developed pop-up book is considered highly valid and practical for supporting Fikih learning.

Abstract

This study examines the issue of deviant seniority practices and violence in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), which contradict the school's function as an institution for moral and character education. This phenomenon demonstrates a gap between the normative values of Islamic education and social practices in Islamic boarding schools. This study aims to analyze the concept of ta'dib (religious guidance) as a conceptual framework for responding to and addressing deviant seniority practices and violence in Islamic boarding schools. The study employed a qualitative method with a literature review approach, through a critical analysis of scientific works, academic journals, and the thoughts of Ustadz Dr. Adian Husaini on the concept of ta'dib in Islamic education. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques to identify ta'dib principles relevant to the formation of civilized social relations in Islamic boarding schools. The results indicate that the concept of ta'dib, which emphasizes the integration of mastery of knowledge ('ilm), the teaching process (ta'lim), and moral-spiritual development (tarbiyah), has strong relevance as a preventive and corrective approach to deviant seniority practices.

Abstract

This study examines the welfare of honorary teachers from an Islamic economic perspective by analyzing fair wage standards through the framework of Maqasid al-Shari‟ah, particularly hifz al-nafs (protection of life), hifz al-mal (wealth), hifz al-„aql (intellect), and hifz al-din (religion). Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, the study draws on documentary data from academic literature, policy reports, and online news sources, which were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings indicate that wage levels below the minimum standard, reliance on delayed school operational funds, and employment insecurity are associated with psychological stress, household vulnerability, limited access to adequate housing, constraints on professional development, and weakened religious commitment among honorary teachers. From a maqasid perspective, these conditions suggest misalignment with Islamic principles of wage justice, as reflected in the Prophetic injunction to provide timely and sufficient compensation to workers. Conceptually, this study contributes to Islamic economic discourse by positioning Maqasid al- Shari‟ah as an evaluative framework for assessing wage fairness and holistic welfare in the education sector, emphasizing falah and social justice as normative objectives.

Abstract

Wayang Kulit is one of Indonesia’s cultural heritages that has existed since around ±1500 BC, functioning as a medium for entertainment, education, and the transmission of moral teachings. Originating from Hindu Indian traditions, Wayang Kulit later adapted and developed within the local Javanese cultural context. With the arrival of Islam, the Wali Songo—particularly Sunan Kalijaga—utilized Wayang Kulit as a medium of cultural da’wah by integrating Islamic values while maintaining existing cultural elements. This study aims to analyze the problematics of Wayang Kulit performances from an Islamic perspective, focusing on the aspects of aqidah (faith), ibadah (worship), and muamalah (social and ethical interactions). Using a qualitative descriptive and theological-normative approach, the research identifies several practices in Wayang Kulit that remain inconsistent with Islamic teachings, including beliefs in spiritual entities within the puppets, the use of offerings (sesajen), and prayers directed to beings other than Allah. The findings also reveal muamalah issues arising from commercialization and entertainment elements, such as inappropriate jokes and the shift of wayang from a medium of da’wah to predominantly entertainment-centered performances. The novelty of this study lies in its integrative analysis combining cultural interpretation with normative Islamic principles to assess the conformity of Wayang Kulit practices with the foundations of tauhid. The study concludes that while Wayang Kulit is an important cultural heritage, its preservation must align with Islamic values, ensuring that acts of worship remain solely directed to Allah and that moral and da’wah principles continue to guide the performance practices.

Abstract

The rising trend in divorce cases in Indonesia in the last decade reflects a serious challenge to family resilience and a change in marital values. This research explores the Islamic standpoint in analyzing the common causes of divorce and drawing its correlation to the concept of sakinah family, a resilient and harmonious family. This study applies a systematic literature review based on Google Scholar and Garuda (Garba Rujukan Digital) as the database, using the keywords divorce, family resilience, sakinah family, Islamic marriage, and Indonesia. The inclusion criteria covers peer-reviewed articles published between 2021 and 2025 about divorce cases in Indonesia and excludes non-empirical studies, editorial essays, and articles that do not cover Indonesian context, resulting in 26 relevant papers. This study also gathers its secondary data from Indonesian Central Agency of Statistics (BPS) dated back from 2020 to 2024. This study reveals that economic pressure, the spouses’ lack of mental preparedness, early marriage, marital conflict which results in domestic violence, as well as social media influence are among the prominent factors of a divorce. Not only do these factors affect the marriage in general, but also does the divorce affect the children’s mental state, social ability, and education. This study concludes that the gap between the ideal marriage that the concept of sakinah family draws–calm, loving, and harmonious–and the reality of Indonesian modern day marriages are starkly visible. Hence, we strongly recommend the enhancement of premarital education, improving family literacy, as well as the creation of public policy that supports family resilience.

Abstract

The decline in students’ moral conduct toward teachers and parents has become a critical issue in contemporary Islamic education, necessitating a re-examination of ethical sources that shape teacher–student and parent–child relationships. This study employs a library research method by analyzing Washoya Al Aba Lil Abna by Muhammad Syakir and Betawi parental advice through a descriptive-analytical approach. The findings reveal a strong continuity of values between the two sources, particularly regarding four key principles: the equal moral status of teachers and parents as authoritative figures, the importance of seeking the riḍā (approval) of teachers and parents, the obligation to adorn knowledge with noble character, and the encouragement of self-improvement through personal effort rather than reliance on the prestige of teachers or family lineage. These findings affirm that Betawi parental advice reflects ethical values aligned with the teachings of Sheikh Muhammad Syakir and remains relevant for reinforcing students’ foundations of adab in the contemporary era. This study contributes to the development of an Islamic education model grounded in local wisdom, making Islamic education more closely connected to students’ everyday lives.

Abstract

The globalization era has transformed the landscape of Islamic education, particularly in shaping students‘ religious identity within increasingly secular, digital, and transnational contexts. Previous studies on Tsaqāfah Islāmiyyah have largely approached the concept from normative and moral perspectives, with limited analytical discussion on its function as a conceptual and epistemological framework for identity formation in Islamic higher education. This study aims to address this gap by examining the role of Tsaqāfah Islāmiyyah as a foundational framework for strengthening the identity of Islamic education students in the context of globalization. This study employs a qualitative library research method through a systematic review of classical and contemporary literature on Tsaqāfah Islāmiyyah, globalization, and Islamic education. The findings demonstrate that Tsaqāfah Islāmiyyah functions not merely as a moral guideline, but as an integrative intellectual framework that mediates between Islamic tradition and modern global knowledge. This framework contributes to the formation of students‘ epistemological orientation, critical awareness, and religious identity in responding to global challenges.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine Muslim women's perspectives on the implementation of the Family Planning (FP) program at the Cipondoh Community Health Center. The family planning program is one of the government's strategies to reduce population growth and improve the quality of family health and well-being. However, among Muslim women, there are still differing views on contraceptive use, influenced by religious, social, and cultural factors. This study used a descriptive method with a quantitative approach to describe the level of knowledge, attitudes, and acceptance of Muslim women towards the family planning program. The results showed that most Muslim women have a positive view of the family planning program because it is considered to align with the principles of family welfare and health. However, some respondents were still hesitant to participate in this program due to differing religious beliefs or limited information. Education, age, husband's support, and the role of health workers significantly influenced the acceptance of family planning among Muslim women. In conclusion, Muslim women's acceptance of the family planning program at the Cipondoh Community Health Center (Puskesmas) was quite good, but a more effective and sensitive approach to outreach to Islamic values was still needed. Collaboration between health workers, religious leaders, and the government was essential to increase public understanding that family planning is a family planning effort that aligns with Islamic teachings and plays a vital role in improving family health and well-being.
