Abstract

The rapid growth of the coffee shop industry in Sukabumi City has created increasingly fierce business competition. To face these challenges, business actors need to have superior strategies supported by entrepreneurial orientation and product innovation. This study aims to analyze the effect of entrepreneurial orientation on competitive advantage with product innovation as a mediating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach with a census technique on 42 coffee shop owners in Sukabumi City. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire using a Likert scale, and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method using SmartPLS software. The results show that entrepreneurial orientation has a significant effect on product innovation, and product innovation has a significant effect on competitive advantage. In addition, product innovation has been proven to significantly mediate the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and competitive advantage. These findings indicate that the success of coffee shops in building competitive advantage is greatly influenced by the extent to which business owners are able to implement entrepreneurial orientation innovatively in product development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Perceived Organizational Support (POS) on Employee Engagement, with Job Satisfaction as a mediating variable. The phenomenon of low employee engagement in organizations highlights the importance of organizational support and job satisfaction as key factors in enhancing employees' involvement in their work. This research adopts a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), involving respondents from employees at PT X. The results show that POS has a positive and significant direct effect on employee engagement, with a coefficient value of 0.266 and a p-value of 0.017. Additionally, POS significantly affects job satisfaction with a coefficient of 0.793 and a p-value of 0.000. Job satisfaction also has a significant direct influence on employee engagement with a coefficient of 0.270 and a p-value of 0.020. The indirect effect of POS on employee engagement through job satisfaction is recorded at 21.4%, while the direct effect is higher at 26.6%, indicating that job satisfaction partially mediates the relationship. These findings emphasize that, in addition to the direct effect, job satisfaction plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between organizational support and employee engagement. This research offers practical insights for organizations to enhance engagement through improved support and job satisfaction strategies.

Abstract

Globalization and technological advancements have influenced the character of Generation Z, who grew up exposed to foreign cultures through social media. The values that Generation Z receive often conflict with local culture and religious teachings, including Buddhism. In this regard, families and Buddhist Sunday School (SMB) teachers play an important role as moral and spiritual educators. However, weak family communication and teachers' inconsistency in conveying religious values pose obstacles. Initial studies at several monasteries in Makassar indicate that their roles are still not optimal. This study aims to examine the influence of the family environment and SMB teachers' attitudes on the character of Generation Z in the context of Buddhist religious education in the era of globalization. This study uses a quantitative method with a regression approach to analyze the influence of the family environment and SMB teachers' attitudes on the character of Generation Z. This study concludes that the family environment and the attitudes of Buddhist Sunday School teachers have a positive and significant influence on the character of Generation Z in Makassar, both individually and collectively, with a combined contribution of 26.2%. Character strengthening can be achieved through the active role of families and teachers, as well as synergy between monasteries, schools, and families in educational programs and development based on Buddhist values.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of social support on the psychological well-being of GBKP pastors, with job satisfaction as a moderating variable. Employing a quantitative approach and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis on questionnaire data collected from active GBKP pastors, the results indicate that social support has a positive and significant effect on psychological well-being (coefficient = 0.503, P-Values = 0.000). Job satisfaction also positively and significantly influences psychological well-being (coefficient = 0.265, P-Values = 0.000). Furthermore, job satisfaction significantly moderates the relationship between social support and psychological well-being (T-Statistics = 2.709, P-Values = 0.007). The research model explains 58.1% of the variance in pastors' psychological well-being (R-Square = 0.581), demonstrating good predictive relevance (Q-Square = 0.380). The implications of this study suggest that enhancing social support and job satisfaction is crucial for maintaining and improving the psychological well-being of pastors.

Abstract

Character education in Indonesia is an important aspect of the education system, especially in shaping a generation that is not only intellectually intelligent but also has noble character. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the extracurricular curriculum in instilling character education at MIS Pasar Bilah, North Labuhanbatu. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method to explore the experiences and perceptions of teachers, students, and the principal regarding the extracurricular curriculum implemented at the school. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman analysis technique, with triangulation and member checking as techniques to guarantee data validity. The results of the study indicate that the extracurricular curriculum at MIS Pasar Bilah, which includes scouting, sports, and religious activities, plays a significant role in instilling character values such as discipline, responsibility, and cooperation among students. However, the main challenges faced are limited time and students' motivation to actively participate. This study also found that support from the school, teacher commitment, and parental involvement are crucial for the successful implementation of the character education program. The implications of this research provide insights for the development of extracurricular curricula in madrasas, particularly in improving the effectiveness of extracurricular activities as a means of character education. This research is expected to serve as a reference for other schools in strengthening character education through extracurricular activities.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of synergy between parents and Buddhist Religious Education teachers in strengthening student character, particularly in shaping learners who are not only academically competent but also morally grounded. The main issue addressed in this research is the suboptimal role of both parents and teachers in accompanying the character-building process of students, as well as challenges in internalizing Buddhist values into students’ daily lives at SMK Metta Maitreya Pekanbaru. The objective of this study is to analyze the roles of parents and Buddhist Education teachers in character development, identify inhibiting factors, and propose strategies for character strengthening based on compassion values. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results indicate that parents significantly contribute to building foundational character values through role modeling, communication, and supervision. Meanwhile, Buddhist Religious Education teachers act as spiritual mentors and exemplars of Buddhist virtues, integrating values into teaching and behavior. Challenges found include limited parent-child interaction time and the continued focus on cognitive learning aspects. This research proposes a character education approach rooted in the “Culture of Compassion,” composed of three core elements: a heart of compassion, acts of compassion, and smiles of compassion. This integrative approach is expected to reinforce students' internalization of noble values comprehensively. The conclusion emphasizes that collaboration between parents and teachers is essential for holistic and sustainable student character development.

Abstract

The high demand for housing among the public has led to a significant increase in the need for home financing, making the role of Islamic financial institutions crucial in providing financing solutions that align with Islamic principles. Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), through its Griya Hasanah product, offers home ownership financing that is free from interest (riba) and based on Sharia contracts. However, the growing demand also heightens the potential risk of problematic financing, necessitating a strict and accurate classification of customer eligibility. This study aims to analyze the application of the 5C+1S principles in assessing the eligibility of customers for Griya Hasanah financing at BSI KCP Sidoarjo Krian. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach, employing in-depth interviews with the marketing team and Business Operational Staff (BOSM), along with data triangulation through financing documents and field observations. The findings reveal that the implementation of the 5C+1S principles (Character, Capacity, Capital, Collateral, Condition of Economy, and Sharia Compliance) contributes significantly to reducing the risk of problematic financing. The principles of Character and Capacity carry the highest assessment weight, as they are directly related to the customer's integrity and repayment ability. Meanwhile, the Sharia aspect serves as the main differentiator from conventional financial institutions, ensuring that all financing processes adhere to Islamic values.
