Abstract

Background: Forward head posture (FHP) is a postural problem in the cervical area characterized by the position of the tragus in front of the plumb line in the sagittal plane with a craniovertebral angle (CVA) value <50°. This condition can be caused by work positions or activities that tend to look down for a long duration. Postural corrective exercise is one of the exercises that can improve posture. Objective: Knowing the effectiveness of postural corrective exercise on posture improvement in students with FHP.Methods: This study used a quasi-experimental pre & post-test design. Respondents were 68 students of Universitas 'Aisyiyah Yogyakarta with CVA <50° who were then randomly divided into 2 groups. namely Group A (postural corrective exercise) and Group B (self-postural corrective exercise). CVA measurement was performed using the On Protractor application. Results: There was a significant increase in CVA after postural corrective exercise and self-postural corrective exercise treatment (p = 0.00). Postural corrective exercise is more effective in improving FHP posture than self-postural corrective exercise (p = 0.00).Conclusion: Postural corrective exercise is more effective on posture improvement in students with FHP.

Abstract

Background: Dysmenorrhea is a gynecological problem that often occurs in women during menstruation. In Indonesia, the incidence of dysmenorrhea is 64.25%, while 52% of students in Yogyakarta experience a decrease in the productivity of daily activities during menstruationObjective: To determine the effect of sanyinjiao point acupressure therapy (SP6) on reducing the intensity of primary dysmenorrhea pain Methods: Pre-Experimental research method, one group pretest-posttest design. Purposive sampling technique. The intervention group was given Sanyinjiao point acupressure (SP6). Dysmenorrhea pain variables were measured using NRS. Univariate analysis uses frequency distribution and bivariate analysis uses Wilxocon. Results: The results of statistical tests showed that there was a significant difference between before and after the intervention with a p-value of 0.000. Before the intervention was given an average of 5.29 dysmenorrhea pain, after the intervention experienced a decrease in dysmenorrhea pain intensity by an average of 1.75. Conclusion: There is an effect of sanyinjiao point acupressure therapy (SP6) on reducing the intensity of primary dysmenorrhea pain with a p-value of 0.000 and a decrease in dysmenorrhea pain of 3.54.

Family caregiver support is needed to reduce the incidence of them. Objective: To determine the correlation between family caregiver support and anxiety levels among cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Methods: This research was a quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach. Sampling used purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 52 respondents. This research was conducted at a public hospital in Bantul, Yogyakarta in June 2023. The instruments used in this study were the Family Caregiver Support questionnaire and the Hamilton Rating Scale of Anxiety (HARS-A), which have been valid and reliable. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical and Pearson correlation analysis. Results: The mean of family caregiver support for cancer patients was 40.69±12.26 from a range of 15-60. The mean of anxiety in cancer patients was 27.54±6.19 from a range of 13-42. The results showed that family caregiver support was related to the level of anxiety in cancer patients (p=0.002, r=-0.414). It means that the higher the family caregiver's support, the lower the level of anxiety experienced by cancer patients. Conclusions: Family caregiver support is very helpful in reducing the anxiety level of cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.

Abstract

Background: Preeclampsia treatment if not treated immediately will cause seizures and even cause death. Rational treatment can be seen from the (outcome) therapy and costs. Pharmacoeconomic analysis can be used to see which drug is most effective in terms of therapeutic outcomes and the costs incurred to obtain that therapy. Objective: This study aims to analyze the cost-effective antihypertensive monotherapy in preeclampsia patients. Methods: The research was conducted at the Sleman Regional Hospital on inpatient preeclampsia patients for the 2021-2022 period. Retrospective data collection in the form of medical record data and financial administration. The effectiveness of therapy is calculated based on blood pressure and length of stay with ICER (Incremental Cost-Effectiveness Ratio) calculations. Results: The description of the characteristics of preeclampsia patients at Sleman Regional Hospital is dominated by those aged 20-35 years, 23 patients (51%), without comorbidities, 39 patients (87%). The most widely used antihypertensive monotherapy was Nifedipine in 33 patients (73%). The cost effective monotherapy is Nifedipine, with an ICER value of Rp. 3,258 based on blood pressure and an ICER of -Rp. 6,041 based on LOSConclusion: Monotherapy that cost effective for hospitalized preeclampsia patients at Sleman Regional Hospital is Nifedipine.
