Abstract

This research examines the function of Smart TV technology as an interactive instructional medium within Islamic Religious Education (PAI) courses at SMK Diponegoro Karanganyar Pekalongan. The study was prompted by persistent challenges in PAI classrooms, where student enthusiasm and active involvement remained limited due to the dominance of teacher-centered, lecture-based instruction. A descriptive qualitative methodology was employed, gathering data through classroom observation, semi-structured in-depth interviews, and document review. Participants in this study included two PAI instructors, thirty students from grades X and XI representing diverse vocational programs, the school principal, and the vice-principal for curriculum affairs. Findings indicate that Smart TV integration substantially elevated student engagement across behavioral, cognitive, and emotional dimensions. The technology facilitated rich multimedia delivery of Islamic content—including Quranic verse visualization, digital documentary screenings, and real-time mirroring of student work—thereby enabling meaningful, enjoyable, and contemplative learning experiences. The study concludes that Smart TV functions not merely as an instructional aid, but as a transformative agent reshaping the pedagogical culture of PAI toward active, technology-enriched participation. It is recommended that schools formally embed Smart TV use within PAI curriculum planning frameworks to ensure systematic and sustained implementation

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji praktek pendidikan karakter berdasarkan pemikiran Muhammad Iqbal di Sekolah Alam Nara Mulia Kudus. Penelitian dilakukan dengan melakukan observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara dengan beberapa pihak dari sekolah. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sekolah Alam Nara Mulia menjadikan al-Qur’an sebagai landasan sistem pendidikannya. Hal ini sejalan dengan Muhammad Iqbal yang ingin mengembalikan sistem pendidikan pada pola pikir Qur’ani. Pendidikan karakter di Sekolah Alam Nara Mulia dibangun melalui, pertama, menyadari dan menggali potensi anak untuk mengembangkan kreativitas dan toleransi. Kedua, melatih kemampuan berkomunikasi untuk menciptakan anak yang berani dan kritis. Ketiga, implementasi nilai-nilai al-Qur’an melalui ibrah kisahnya dan peneladanan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari di sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the adaptation strategies implemented in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) instruction at SMA Negeri 2 Sidoarjo during the era of technological disruption, focusing on the role of digital technology in enhancing the teaching process. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. Direct observations were conducted to understand technology application in the classroom, while in-depth interviews with teachers and students explored perceptions and challenges regarding technology integration. The findings indicate that, despite the use of face-to-face instruction, the school actively utilizes digital technologies—such as YouTube, PowerPoint, and Quizizz—to facilitate gamification and boost student learning motivation. Students participate in creating digital media projects, such as short videos that incorporate Islamic values into the learning material. A primary challenge identified is the variation in teachers' technological skills; to address this, the school regularly organizes technology training sessions. Overall, the study concludes that digital adaptation in PAI at SMA Negeri 2 Sidoarjo not only increases student engagement but also strengthens their understanding of Islamic values, thereby maintaining the relevance of PAI instruction amidst technological advancements..STRATEGI ADAPTASI PENDIDIKAN ISLAM DI ERA DISRUPSI TEKNOLOGI DALAM PEMBELAJARAN DIGITAL DI SMAN 2 SIDOARJO
