Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan manajemen perpustakaan, menjelaskan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi serta mendiskripsikan solusi implementasi manajemen perpustakaan di MTs Al Ibrohimi Manyar Gresik Tahun 2019. Jenis penelitian kualitatif, Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan 1) metode wawancara, wawancara dilakukan kepada beberapa sumber seperti kepala sekolah, guru, petugas perpustakaan dan siswa. 2) metode observasi dengan mengamati keadaan fisik perpustakaan baik peralatan dan perlengkapannya. 3) Metode Dokumen digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data arsip dan administrasi perpustakaan sekolah. Keabsahan data penelitian menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teknik, keabsahan data tersebut digunakan untuk menguji data-data yang terkumpul. Hasil pembahasan implementasi manajemen perpustakaan di MTs Al Ibrohimi Manyar Gresik yang dilaksanakan belum sesuai dengan fungsi manajemen. mulai dari Perencanaan yang tidak diperbarui, pengorganisasian yang sangat kurang, pengelolaan perpustakaan yang kurang terkelola dengan baik, dan pengawasan yang sangat kurang. Kendala-kendala dalam penerapan fungsi manajemen dalam pengelolaan perpustakaan di perpustakaan MTs Al Ibrohimi Manyar Gresik meliputi: 1) Tidak Adanya Kepemimpinan Manajemen Perpustakaan Sekolah, 2) Kurangnya Sumberdaya Manusia dan pustakawanan yang profesional, 3) Koleksi Buku Yang Kurang Lengkap dan Kurang Diperbarui, 4) Kurangnya Pengunjung Perpustakaan. Usaha yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi kendala yang dihadapi dalam pelaksanaan manajemen perpustakaan meliputi: 1) Kepala sekolah dapat merekrut atau memilih guru untuk ditugaskan menjadi kepala perpustakaan. 2) pustakawan di perpustakaan MTs Al Ibrohimi Manyar Gresik, harus memiliki tenaga professional dibidang perpustakaan khususnya penerapan fungsi manajemen perpustakaan dalam pengelolaan perpustakaan. 3). mengajukan penambahan koleksi kepada kepala sekolah, sekolah juga mengadakan kerjasama dengan pihak terkait misalnya dengan penerbit dan mengimbuu kepada siswa, guru atau karyawan untuk memberikan sumbangan buku atau menitipkan buku-buku pribadinya untuk disimpan di perpustakaan. 4) memperbaiki Etika Layanan Perpustakaan dan Layanan Sepenuh Hati. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjawab beberapa permasalahan: (1) Bagaimanakah konstruksi kesetaraan gender Amina Wadud? (2) Bagaimanakah nalar pendidikan feminis dalam konstruksi kesetaraan gender Amina Wadud? (3) Bagaimanakah implikasi nalar pendidikan feminis Amina Wadud bagi eksistensi pendidikan Islam? Permasalahan yang ada dijawab melalui penelitian kualitatif-literatur (library research) dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui inventarisir data-data primer, sekunder, dan pendukung. Data primer bersumber dari karya-karya Amina Wadud; data sekunder diambil dari karya orang tentang pemikiran Amina Wadud; dan data pendukung didapat dari karya-karya yang terkait dengan tema penelitian. Data-data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan teknik analisis isi (content analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Konstruksi kesetaraan gender Amina Wadud didasarkan pada tafsir tauhid. Perempuan dan laki-laki hanya sebutan istilah spesies, keduanya memiliki peran yang setara dan seimbang. Keduanya dilahirkan dari jalan yang sama. Kemudian dimatikan dengan jalan yang masih bersifat rahasia. Lalu dibangkitkan di suatu tempat (padang mahsyar), diadili sesuai dengan amalan masing-masing. Hal utama yang membedakan peran antar manusia laki-laki dan perempuan adalah kapasitas ketaqwaannya, bukan jenis kelaminnya. Nalar pendidikan feminis begitu tampak dalam konstruksi kesetaraan gender Amina Wadud. Amina Wadud benar-benar memperjuangkan kesetaraan relasi antara perempuan dan laki-laki di ranah publik. Jenis kelamin tidak menjadi pijakan utama untuk merekomendasikan apakah seseorang itu layak berkarir ataukah tidak. Pijakan utama adalah capacity atau quality. Dengan paradigma ini, maka perempuan dan laki-laki mempunyai kesempatan yang sama untuk berkarir di ranah yang sesuai dengan kapasitasnya. Inilah nalar pendidikan feminis, pendidikan yang pro terhadap keadilan gender. Nalar pendidikan feminis, yakni pendidikan yang memperjuangkan kesetaraan relasi peran perempuan dan laki-laki, berimplikasi bagi eksistensi pendidikan Islam. Implikasinya, pendidikan Islam harus berpihak pada kesetaraan dan keadilan gender. Desain dan praktik pendidikan Islam yang berkeadilan gender harus dimulai dari kebijakan, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, kontrol, evaluasi dan penganggarannya. Implikasi nalar pendidikan feminis bagi pendidikan Islam berarti pendidikan Islam harus berpihak pada upaya mewujudkan kesetaraan dan keadilan gender.

Abstract

This article reflects the study of marketing of education at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Bali Bina Insani (BBI). Located in a Muslim minority area, this institution implements marketing strategy that has implications in people's acceptance towards the Islamic educational institution. This study explores the MTs BBI strategy in marketing its institution through smooth but structured promotion. The success of the BBI institution is marked by the attitude of community acceptance that supports the existence of BBI through collective actions. As a managerial action in managing religious differences within surrounding community, the BBI academic community is required to be open and accommodating towards differences. This basic culture together with professional and transparent management becomes the main value in the marketing of institutions through digital media.

Abstract

Human resource input in higher education is required to have high order thinking skills (HOTS) which includes the ability to analyze, evaluate and create material. Thus, the existence of the college entrance test is one of the important instruments in selecting human resources. This article aims to explore the HOTS map on the Entrance Examination for State Islamic Religious Higher Education (UM-PTKIN) in the material of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in 2018 and the comparison of HOTS levels in the PAI material group examination. This article is also supported by the results of a literature review. The results of the study show that the UM-PTKIN item on PAI material spreads in the HOTS category and low-level thinking skills (LOTS). Akidah Akhlak Subject is the largest contributor and Al-Quran-Hadith as the lowest contributor to the HOTS category questions. The Islamic Religious Education Study Program (PAI) is a study program that is in great demand and its graduates are highly awaited to be able to sow Islamic understanding to answer various social, political and religious challenges in Indonesia. This article provides recommendations for UM-PTKIN policy makers to be able to increase the number of HOTS question compositions in subsequent selections in order to improve the quality of PAI student input in the following periods.

Abstract

Modernization to deliver the process in diversifying the socio-economic role of pesantren is undeniable things. Consequently, pesantren must take immediate action if they want to maintain their role and function. In this context, this article wants to describe the widespread mandate of a pesantren in Jember, namely Pesantren Nurul Qornain (PNQ), those takes part –not only empowerment in the field of education- but also play role in the development of economic enterprises. This is then reviewed in the perspective of maqashid al-shari’ah (the purpose of shari’a). Throughout qualitative study, this article explains that pesantren alumni and local society involved in the management of PNQ economic enterprises. Some of developed business unit in the area of agriculture, trading, animal farm, plantation, and mining. Furthermore, the main factor behind PNQ in managing economic enterprises is pesantren sovereignty. It is initiated by kiai (the leader of pesantren). According to him, pesantren can develop rapidly if they sovereign in all aspects. This sovereignty is interpreted as economic sovereignty. However, economic development is as determining factor in supporting the existence of pesantren. Additionally, the development of economic enterprises carries out by PNQ in line with the value of hifdhul maal (the maintenance of property). Hence, it is prospective benefits if it can be replicated by Islamic educational institution nowadays.

Abstract

The discussion of nafs (desire) is not being easy, since it is one of abstract activator of human action. Since then there are lots of attention given by Muslim scholars or scientists on the relationship between nafs and human being. Imam Al-Ghazali, the 12th century outstanding ulama who had considerable works on Islam and philosophy, attempted to elaborate the concept of nafs, and divided it into three dimensions: al-muthmainnah, al-lawwâmah, and al-ammârah. Al-Ghazali inserted al-muthamainnah into the good desire (al-mahmûdah), while al-lawwâmah and al-ammârah into the bad desire (al-su’). He classified these nafs into certain criterion, and this study attempts to critically analyze this classification and to throughly reflect it under some considerations. In some extents, Al-Ghazali’s conception of nafs should be criticized and reinterpreted in the contemporary era.

Abstract

Kajian ini mendeskripsikan keberadaan pura di tanah wali. Pura merupakan tempat peribadatan umat Hindu, sementara tanah wali yang dimaksud di sini adalah Kabupaten Gresik, dimana di daerah ini terdapat makam para wali, terutama dua wali dari wali songo (Sunan Maulana Malik Ibrahim dan Sunan Giri). Dua wali ini telah menjadikan masyarakat Gresik religius Islami. Di tanah wali ini, tepatnya di Desa Mondoluku Wringinanom, terdapat Pura yang eksistensinya terawat dengan baik, bahkan cenderung meningkat keberadaannya baik bangunan fisik maupun aktivitas di dalamnya. Lokasi pura ini berada di tengah-tengah masyarakat yang mayoritas beragama Islam. Masyarakat Mondoluku, 98 persen beragama Islam dan hanya 2 persen beragama Hindu. Meski demikian, aktivitas peribadatan di Pura tersebut selalu berjalan dengan lancar. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa umat Islam Indonesia menunjukkan sikap yang toleran terhadap keberadaan umat lain. Ajaran Islam yang dibawa para wali memang toleran, tidak suka kekerasan, dan rahmatan lil alamin. Ini secara nyata terjadi di Indonesia, termasuk di Mondoluku dengan eksistensi pura di tanah wali tersebut. Fakta ini menjadi kontribusi riil toleransi Islam Indonesia bagi peradaban global.

Abstract

Islamic Education Study Programs face various problems shaping curriculum innovation for an International Class Program (ICP). This research focused on efforts to innovate the appropriate curriculum for Islamic Education Study Programs at UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya (UINSA), State University of Surabaya (UNESA), and the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) in Surabaya, Indonesia. The research method carried out in this study is developmental research using a qualitative approach and comparative analysis. Data were collected through visits, interviews, and direct observation with full awareness of health protocols, as well as documentation from printed and electronic materials. In addition, data were collected through Focus Group Discussions (FGD) and the Delphi Method, a smaller scale of FGD. The results show that Islamic Education Study Program needs to immediately establish an international class program starting from the takhassus class, the excellent class, and the international class. Based on the findings at UNESA and ITS, the patterns of international classes are different in terms of programs, curriculum, learning, and multimedia application, which makes the position of the Islamic Education Study Program more flexible.

Abstract

The flow of digital developments has a positive impact on education. Therefore, teachers and students can collaborate in presenting creative and innovative learning that encourages the realization of critical thinking skills in students. This applies to every subject, including the subject of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This study aims to explain the effectiveness of applying the flipped classroom learning model to increasing students' critical thinking skills in PAI subjects in class XII MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Krembung Sidoarjo. The research method used is the experimental method with the One Group Pretest-Posttest design to explain students' critical thinking skills after applying the flipped classroom learning model. The results of the study show that the application of the flipped classroom learning model has effectiveness in increasing the critical thinking skills of class XII MIPA students in PAI subjects. This is evidenced by the results of the Sig. (2-tailed) which is equal to 0.000. This value indicates (less than) <0.05 of the significance level in the Paired Sample T-Test. Therefore, the flipped classroom learning model can be recommended for its application to improve students' critical thinking skills in PAI subjects at school.

Abstract

This paper describes the organic tolerance, capital, and management of harmony at a pesantren of the Muslim minority in Bali, Indonesia. The pesantren is Bali Bina Insani (BBI) in which there are Muslim and Hindu teachers. The organic tolerance, capital, and management of harmony with the accommodation of some Hindu teachers is a certainty. Data collection was carried out through documentation, participant observation, and in-depth interviews, then qualitatively analyzed. The results showed that the capital of the pesantren in harmonizing Muslim and Hindu teachers is tolerant (tasāmuh) and inclusive. Aligned with the pesantren's vision and mission is realizing Islam raḥmah li al-‘ālamīn in all community services and making friends with all people regardless of ethnic, racial, cultural, and religious diversity. In this context, organic tolerance which was developed by pesantren is a certainty. Also, the management of harmony has been implemented professionally. The pesantren does not emphasize religious symbols, but it concerns the essence of Islamic orthodoxy. The pesantren management never questioned the differences of ethnic, racial, cultural, and religious of some teachers. For them, the most important thing is doing their jobs very well and professionally according to their authority. So, the harmony in this pesantren is organic.
