Abstract

Character education is very important in building superior and strong human resources. Build the positive character are not just forming children into smart and good personalities, but also forming their characters in daily life practices that have an impact on the changing order of society and other people. Each school contributes to make a generation that has good character, both public and private schools that compete in developing the country through the world of education including the Al Azhar 21 Islamic Middle School Solo which has implemented a character education program since it was first established.                 Al Azhar 21 Islamic Junior High School Solo Baru is a superior private school, this school was only established in 2005 and until now has been able to compete and prove the quality of schools by winning various regional and national junior high school competitions. This school uses an integrated character education curriculum, and this school is a reference for comparative studies in character education. The formulation of the problem taken by the researcher is “what is the implementation of the character education program and what are the supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing the character education program in Al Azhar 21 Islamic Junior High School Solo Baru. This Research aims to explain the implementation of character education programs at Al Azhar 21 Middle School and its supporting and inhibiting factors.                 In this study, researchers used a type of field research that was packaged in the form of a phenomenological qualitative research that is research conducted by visiting the research site to conduct direct observations. Data collection used is interview, observation and documentation, which then the data can be analyzed by the deductive method. Deductive method is a processing that starts from the theoretical foundation which is then adjusted to the data obtained in the field. Furthermore, conclusions are drawn with the deductive method of thinking that departs from the theory and then adjusted to the data.                 The results of the study can be concluded that the Al Azhar 21 Islamic Middle School has a work programm (proker) in implementing character education, which is a daily and annual program. This program aims to improve the religious quality of school residents. At Al Azhar 21 Solo Baru Islamic Middle School, there are five values of character education taught every day, namely religious observance, environmental love, responsibility, discipline and courage / confidence. Supporters in the implementation of character programs in Al Azhar are students who have strong criteria to be able enter the Al Azhar school, teachers who must have memorized the Al-Qur’an and are competent and professional in their work, and Al Azhar has an Islamic environment that allows students to learn comfortably. Constraints faced are family: lack of supervision from parents. Because most students who attend Al Azhar are elite people, so that the parents are too busy with their work, an than there is less time to supervise children at home. the influence of association from the environment outside the school due to technology, because the school has difficulty in supervising students when they are already outside school, with this problem the school also provides a solution with the Al Azhar hostel (asrama) for parents who wish their children have a good environment.

Abstract

الخلفية في هذه الدراسة هي القدرة على التحدث باللغة العربية التي يجب أن يحققها الطلاب في المواد العربية وتشمل أربع قدرات. إذا كانت طريقة تدريس اللغة العربية غير مناسبة، فلن تتحسن مهارات اللغة العربية الأربع. تشمل المهارات اللغوية: مهارات الاستماع, ومهارات الكلام, ومهارات القراءة, ومهارات الكتابة. لذا يجادل المؤلفون في أن الطريقة السمعية والشفوية مناسبة جدًا لتعلم اللغة العربية، والتي توفر الطريقة السمعية والشفوية المزيد من الفرص للطلاب لممارستها وأكثر نشاطًا في التعلم. استخدام هذه الطريقة اللغوية على نطاق واسع لدراسة اللغات الأجنبية، بما في ذلك المواد العربية لطلاب الصف الثامن في معهد الأخوة سوكوهارجو للبنات. اسئلة البحث في هذه الدراسة هي كيفية تطبيق الطريقة السمعية والشفوية على المواد العربية في تحسين المهارات اللغوية ووصف فعالية الطريقة السمعية والشفوية في تحسين المهارات اللغوية في المواد العربية. الغرض من هذه الدراسة هو وصف تطبيق الطريقة السمعية والشفوية في المواد العربية في تحسين المهارات اللغوية ووصف فعالية الطريقة السمعية والشفوية في المواد العربية في تحسين مهارات اللغة العربية. هذا النوع من البحث هو بحث ميداني في معهد الأخوة سوكوهارجو للبنات والنهج المستخدم في هذا البحث هو نهج نوعي او ظاهري. مصدر البيانات في هذه الدراسة هو نتائج المقابلات التي أجريت مع الأستاذة عفيفة الزهرو كمدرسة اللغة العربية، الأستاذ سوراتنو كمدرس العربية الكلام، ومقابلات مع عدد من الطالبات يمثلون الفصول الثامن د، هـ، و. الموضوعات في هذا البحث هي المدرسة للغة العربية (الكتابة), والمدرس للغة العربية (الكلام), والطالبات. الكائن من هذا البحث هو تطبيق الطريقة السمعية والشفوية في المواد العربية ومهارات اللغة العربية. كانت تقنيات جمع البيانات في هذا البحث: المقابلات والملاحظة والتوثيق. يكتب الباحثون تحليل البيانات عن طريق تقليل البيانات وكشفها واستخلاص النتائج. يتم استخدام تحليل البيانات بشكل استنتاجي. تشير نتائج هذه الدراسة إلى وجود زيادة في أربعة مهارات في اللغة العربية وزيادة في قيمة المواد العربية

Abstract

This study discusses the prophetic discourse in the study of Islamic education. It is a library research focused on prophetic discourse and Islamic education. The prophetic theory developed by Kuntowijoyo was employed to reveal the prophetic dimension of Islamic education. The three prophetic dimensions of Islamic education are: humanization, liberation and transcendence. On this basis, this study affirms prophetic education as an alternative concept of Islamic education. However, prophetic education becomes a contextual education discourse of society change and seems to be less sensitive to the community development. Yet Islamic educational institutions can establish prophetic discourse as a form of ijtihad in the development of Islamic education.

Abstract

Assalam Junior High Islamic Boarding School Masaran is the first Integrated Islamic-based school in the Masaran area. Standing in a rural area where the majority of the population is unfamiliar with private Islamic schools, this school has the aim of producing graduates who have moral values, have independent personalities and are able to master science and technology. In producing the graduates who have moral values the school has added character education. The need for character education to instill values that include components of knowledge, awareness and actions to carry out these values is applied through extracurricular activities. The purpose of this research is to describe the process of internaliztionstudent character education through extracurricular programs at Assalam Junior High Islamic Boarding School Masaran along with its supporting and inhibiting factors.This type of research is field research with qualitative descriptive approaches. Data collection techniques using observation methods, interviews and documentation analyzed through the process of collecting data, reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions using the deductive method and using the validity of the data with triangulation of sources. The results of this study explained that in the process of internaliztionstudent character education through extracurricular programs at Assalam Junior High Islamic Boarding School Masaran by three compulsory extracurricular programs namely Qira'ah, Taekwondo and Scout. (1) Qira’ah, the method used is the provision of theory which is then put into practice. The expected character is that students behave well while giving rise to the morals of the Qur'an;(2) Taekwondo, the method used is an exemplary method at the end of the learning session. The expected character is responsibility, courage and respect for others;(3) Scouting, the method used is reward-punishment, giving examples and training. The desired character is a character that is bertauhid, moral mercy and love of nature.The supporting factors of this program are the availability of facilities and infrastructure and support from the school. While the lack of interest in students is evidenced by the lack of responsibility when joining the extracurricular program is the inhibitory factor.

Abstract

As a product of social practice, the presence of Hizbul Wathan Muhammadiyah successfully fills the void between the dysfunction of formal education institutions and society. It is the contemplation of the input-output oriented paradigm of former colonial education. Some graduates suffer from reality faltering when they are directly involved in society. Hizbul Wathan Muhammadiyah exists as the antithesis of the contradictory structure between formal schools and society. It fills the “third space” of education by serving as the intermediary to facilitate distinctive values, norms, and collective consciousness—which differ from the general Scout movement. Abstract

-Daarul Qur'an Sragen Islamic boarding school is a modern Islamic boarding school in the Sragen area which also presents the tahfidz Al-Qur'an program as the flagship program. The Al-Qur'an tahfidz program at the Daarul Qur'an Sragen Islamic boarding school targets students to 15 juz in three years. The purpose of this research is to find out about the implementation of the tahfidz Al-Qur'an program at the Daarul Qur'an Sragen Islamic Boarding School and to identify the supporting factors and obstacles to the implementation of the tahfidz program.This research belongs to the type of qualitative research which uses data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis that has been obtained is done by using the deductive method. The analysis departs from general events and then is reduced to special parts.The Al-Qur'an tahfidz program at the Daarul Qur'an Sragen Islamic Boarding School is programmed for all students. The program targets the memorization of 15 juz within three years. The Al-Qur'an tahfidz program is carried out every day in three activities, namely after dawn, before maghrib, and after isha '. The evaluation of the tahfidz program consists of three types, namely daily assessments, tahfidz exams according to memorization targets, competition-style exams held before graduation. The supporting factors for the implementation of the Al-Qur'an tahfidz program are the intention and youth, the existence of prayers and support from parents, motivation from friends, the existence of rewards and punishments, and a supportive time and place as well as instructors who guide them well. And the inhibiting factors are laziness, boredom, and boredom of students due to routine. Besides, there are difficulties in managing time, programs implemented in one place for all halaqohs, and also social environmental factors, namely like to follow less orderly friends.

Abstract

Islamic education is not only aimed at providing an understanding of theory and religious teachings, but also at building mental attitudes as realized in good deeds. Islamic education is an attempt to improve the quality of morals and social characters. It also plays a major role in determining the quality of a nation and directing people to have good attitudes and characters, imbued by spiritual values. In Indonesia and Malaysia, Islamic education initially emerged along with the arrival and spread of Islam on both countries. Although both are countries with the majority of Muslims in Southeast Asia and have undergone several phases including against colonialism, the dynamics of Islamic education in those countries are not necessarily the same. The present study discusses the Islamic education in Indonesia and Malaysia, ranging from the history of the arrival of Islam to the initial and development of Islamic education that still evolves until today

Abstract

The deaf children who are born with special needs have the opportunities as same as normal children, including the teaching of Tahfidz Al-Qur'an. If the normal children can memorize the Qur'an until the final stages of 30 juz, then actually children with the disability also have the opportunity as same as them. Even though their success is also very much influenced by the method of education they receive. This study discusses the method of teaching Tahfidz Al-Qur'an for children with hearing impairment and how to evaluate the learning outcomes of students with hearing impairment in memorizing the Al-Qur'an with these methods at the SMPLB Foundation for the Tuna Children's Care Foundation Surakarta.This research is qualitative research by taking place and subject in the special education school of Yayasan Asuhan Anak Tuna in Surakarta. The method of collecting data is an interview, observation, and documentation. The data is analyzed with a deductive method. To ensure the validity of the data that has been obtained, this is done by conducting technical triangulation, sources, and time.The results show: (1) teachers using various creativities and various methods make students can memorize letters in the Qur'an. The teacher applies at least three methods: Lecture, Drill, and Assignment methods. (2) evaluation is held on each learning end or daily test, the teacher always corrects how much the capacity of memory from each student is. Formative evaluation tests, which prioritize student practice in depositing memorization of the verses of the Qur'an that have been given by the teacher. The evaluation is carried out on each schedule of Islamic education that it takes place with starting with a muroja’ah together, then those students are invited to submit memorization following what was assigned. This assessment adds the value of students in Islamic Education.

Abstract

This present study investigates a model of Muhammadiyah education developed by K.H. Ahmad Dahlan. In the midst of a creativity and productivity crisis in Indonesia, it is challenging to divulge the concept of creative-productive learning model since it is a potential basis to build creative and productive characters. As one of prominent Islamic scholars, K.H. Ahmad Dahlan is outstanding for his progressive view, including in the fields of education and instructional. He has shifted the former Sorogan system into the classical system and implemented it in his educational activities, as well as introduced creative-productive learning model. The concept of K.H. Ahmad Dahlan’s creative-productive learning and its relevance with the 2013 Curriculum will be discussed in this study.

Abstract

In this day and age the noble character of a person wears off, so it is necessary to make improvements, one of which can be done through the field of education in schools. In SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten the cultivation of noble character can be done through Islamic culture in schools. Here Islamic Religious Education teachers with their leadership competencies play an important role in the formation and development of Islamic culture in schools. There are still some Islamic Religious Education teachers who are less concerned about the leadership competencies that they must possess. So that the inculcation and development of the leadership spirit of a teacher of Islamic Education is very necessary to do because it can affect the success of a school in developing Islamic culture.     Based on the background of the problem, the problem formulation was obtained, namely how the implementation of leadership competencies of Islamic Religious Education teachers in SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten and how Islamic Religious Education teachers developed Islamic culture in SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten. This study aims to describe the implementation of leadership competencies of Islamic Education Teachers in Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten Middle School and to describe Islamic Religious Education Teachers in developing Islamic culture in Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten Middle School. This type of research is field research using a qualitative approach. The method for data collection is the interview, documentation and observation. The data analysis technique is done through the stages of data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing.     Based on the results of the analysis of research data, it can be concluded that: Islamic Religious Education Teachers at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten have implemented their leadership competencies both in learning and outside learning. The Teacher of Education has made plans, organized, became an innovator, motivator, facilitator, mentor and counselor, as well as guarded, controlled, and directed every activity. So that it is in accordance with Regulation of the Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia number 16 of 2010 concerning the management of religious education in schools. In developing Islamic culture in SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten Islamic Religious Education teachers through every religious activity carried out always exemplifies, motivates or encourages, and enforces discipline and witnesses for students who violate the rules that have been made so that Islamic activities can be well entrenched in junior high Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten and formed the noble character of students.
