Abstract

Emotional intelligence is a new paradigm in education that will give hope of optimal success in the learning process; emotions play an important role in life. This is what increasingly stirred researchers to conduct this research. With the formulation of the problem as follows: How is the internalization of emotional intelligence in the learning process in school. The purpose is to examine how the values ​​of emotional intelligence in students are planted. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study using the techniques of collecting data on interviews, observation and documentation. While the data analysis technique uses a method of classifying data and inductive conclusions. From the results of the research that has been done it can be concluded that the moral akidah teachers have instilled emotional intelligence in their students both when teaching and learning activities are taking place or when they are outside of school hours. But seeing the level of emotional intelligence of the students was declared low.

Abstract

The subjects in this study were teachers of the Khalifah Bangsa Vocational School who were identified as having sufficient ability to apply variations in the learning methods of the 2018/2019 Academic Year. The study was conducted at IB Khalifah Bangsa Vocational School, located at Jl. Gelatik II, Purwoasri 28, Kecamatan Metro Utara, Kota Metro. Improving the ability of teachers to apply variations in learning methods that are in synergy with variations in class layout has encouraged more lively, directed, and quality learning in each teacher's classroom. Simulation, feedback, and academic supervision are the right tools to improve teacher skills and maintain them at all times. Teachers are able to streamline their time at school and make every activity effective for the sake of improving their abilities. Although not all methods, only between 8-15 methods mastered from 42 planned, one-way teaching habits that become cliched every implementation of learning can be minimized through the creation and application of integrative learning. Fostering supervisors as instructors is more authoritative and useful to be addressed immediately and at all times.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how the Internalization of Character Education in the pondok. This research was conducted at the Pondok Pesantren Darul A’mal. This study uses a type of case study research, which is then analyzed by researchers using social construction theory from Peter L Beger & Thomas Luckmann. Then, the researcher used purposive sampling technique. Based on the results of research, it can be concluded that: externalization process, where learning is done by the method of dialogue; objectivities process is to give direct practice to the students; and internalization process where the santri will imitate the person who is considered good and becomes a role model in behaving in pondok. Research on the process of internalizing character education in pondok pesantren is expected to provide understanding for the community that character education can be provided through non-formal education, namely Pondok Pesantren.

Abstract

This research was conducted at the 9 Metro Middle School in Jalan Charter Jakarta 16P Metro West Metro City with research subjects of class IX of SMP Negeri 9 Metro. To obtain research data used test and observation techniques. The results of the research were in the form of student activities at each meeting and learning outcomes at the beginning and end of the cycle. The average percentage of student activity in learning activities in the first cycle was 61.17%, while in the second cycle it was 8.63%. The average percentage of learning outcomes in the first cycle is 6.464 and in the second cycle is 7.214, so the increase is 0.55. Student learning outcomes have reached the expected indicators, namely 92.5% of students get a value of ≥ 60. The results of research on class IX students of SMP Negeri 9 Metro odd semester show that learning with problem solving methods can improve student learning activities and outcomes. Therefore, it is recommended to teachers of physics courses so that problem solving methods can be used as an alternative in learning physics in schools, especially in SMP Negeri 9 Metro.

Abstract

Bahasa Inggris terdiri dari keterampilan bahasa reseptif dan keterampilan bahasa produktif. Penelitian ini telah dilakukan di Pondok Pesantren Darul Amal dan Roudlotul Qurân di Kota Metro. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas untuk mengumpulkan data. Penelitian ini fokus pada keterampilan menulis dalam proses belajar bahasa Inggris. Dalam hal ini penulis menggunakan Brainstorming Technique dan SLOW CaPS Strategy. Berdasarkan Brainstorming, ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan secara signifikan dari pre-test ke post-test 1 ke post-test 2 ke post-test 3. Berdasarkan strategi SLOW CaPS, dapat terlihat pada hasil lembar observasi ketika siklus I yaitu 60%. Selain itu, lembar observasi hasil pada siklus II adalah 76,8%. Hasil kegiatan siswa telah mencapai indikator keberhasilan yaitu 70%. Jadi dari penelitian ini kita dapat menyimpulkan bahwa di Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah kita dapat menggunakan Teknik Brainstorming dan Strategi SLOW CaPS untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa dalam Bahasa Inggris.

Abstract

A good writing has cohesion and coherence. The sentences and word are used have to be related each other and also the one meaning with the other meaning related each other. So cohesion and coherence is the main aspect in a text. The aim of this research is to know how far the students are able to analyze cohesion and coherence of English text, especially in using lexical cohesion as one of the difficulties. In this writing the data collecting method used a content anaysis, documenttion, and interview. There are 25 students’ work sheets of sixth semester of TBI STAIN Jurai Siwo Metro Academic Year 2015/2016. In this research an analysis has been conducted showed that many students still have lack of understanding at synonim, Hyphonym, Meronym, Equivalence, and Antonym. Students’ performance in analyzing the types of lexical cohesion are repeatation 75%, synonim 41%, Equivalence 22%, Meronym 15%, Hyphonim 9% and antonym 4%. This result of the research influenced the analyzing of coherence of the text. The result of this research concluded that the students of TBI STAIN Jurai Siwo Metro need more understanding in using cohesion and coherence in a text. Because there are the reltionship between cohesion and coherence. So the stedents are hoped to be able in understanding the readable and meaningfull of text.

Abstract

This study aims to increase activity and sejarah student learning outcomes through inquiry learning approach. Places that are used in this study were high school Negeri 1 Metro, amounting to 23 students.This type of study is a descriptive qualitative research methods class action. The results obtained in this study show that: 1) Average activity in cycle I (48.73%) increased by 14.92% in cycle II (63.65%), 2) Improved student learning outcomes of the cycle I to the second cycle of 28.57% from 57.14% to 85.71% cycle I to cycle II on the subject of sejarah. Based on these results, the suggestions can be submitted are: to improve the quality of teachers should be teaching sejarah in the inquiry learning approach. Learning by using the inquiry approach related to learning outcomes and learning processes, and are expected to contribute to the awakening of science and technology.

Abstract

It is very important for public and private educational institutions and related institutions to make every effort to manage human resources properly. The purpose of this study was to determine: Implementation of human resource management in SMA N 1 Metro City; Obstacle factor; Supporting factors; and Solutions to overcome obstacles regarding the implementation of human resource management in improving the quality of education. Based on the data it can be concluded: The process of implementing human resource management; Awareness, concern for schools, in addition to that ideological issues that make a sense of mutual support and activeness of teachers in transferring knowledge; Until now the management of human resources can still function properly, although it still needs to be improved; and the School provides solutions to existing obstacles by building shared awareness, equalizing goals, establishing a sense of cohesiveness with employees, making a good contribution, always developing employees and students well, as well as having a sense of cooperation between student guardians and the school .

Abstract

Student achievement in entrepreneurship in basic competency (KD) shows the attitude of never giving up and being tenacious is still low. Half of the students get an average learning achievement under 50. This Classroom Action Research was conducted at SMK Negeri 3 Metro with a total of 34 students. Researchers can conclude that achievement, student tenacity in entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurship learning process, students of SMK Negeri 3 Metro in KD Demonstrating unyielding and tenacious attitude can be increased through learning using inquiry models guided by questions and answers, discussion and assignments. The average learning achievement in the pre-cycle 4.38 increased to 6.38 in the first cycle, then increased to 7.59 in the second cycle. From this the inquiry and assignment methods can improve student achievement and student tenacity.

Abstract

Many problems of teacher performance are: the implementation of learning does not go according to plan; and the performance of teachers in planning learning is still in the predicate enough and low. Subjects in this study are the teachers of SMK Negeri 1 Abung Selatan. The research method used was School Action Research. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the performance of teachers in planning learning increases significantly through optimization of academic supervision with group and individual techniques. This is based on the findings: The increase in the completeness of documents occurred from 50%, 88%, and 94%. PTS plans to increase by 90%, thus the indicator of success in completeness of the document has been reached and the cycle is stopped; and The four predicate performance appraisals in the first cycle, the distribution of the predicate is: Not good enough 0%, good enough 42%, good 58% and very good 0%. In cycle II, the predicate distribution is: Not good enough 0%, good enough 8, good 42% and very good 49. Good and Very Good Predicate is 42 + 49 = 91%. Thus, it can be said that there has been an increase in the distribution of the predicate performance of Prasiklus to Cycle I.
