The journal AL-ULUM (Islamic thought and Educational Journal) published an article on the theme of education, using the language of Indonesia or the United Kingdom that includes the study of literature, conceptual thinking and research results in the field of education. These journals give priority to studies related to Islamic thought and education from different perspectives. This journal serves as a means and medium of communication that is used by researchers, lecturers, teachers, students, and practitioners to examine education and Islamic thought. This journal became the medium of exchange of ideas and research findings from various traditions of interacting learning scientifically.

Abstract

This research is based on a phenomenon at SMKN 8 Surabaya which shows a variety of complex problems of PAI learning methods which then move the hearts of researchers to try to explore and then examine the questions of the mind mapping method applied by PAI teachers, so that it has the aim of describing the implementation of the mind mapping learning method based on Gitmind software and its implications for students by cultivating an understanding of the subject matter, especially PAI. PTK (classroom action research) is applied to this research action. Data collection applies the method of observation, interviews, documentation and tests. Data reduction, data presentation, data verification are data analysis techniques that apply interactive data analysis methods. This research was conducted in 2 action cycles. The results of the research cycle 1 reached 68% mastery learning and 10% incomplete. Then it increased in cycle 2 by obtaining a mastery learning standard of 93% and 7% which had not been completed. So it was concluded that mind mapping based on Gitmind in Islamic religious education lessons in the learning process was declared successful. Due to the acquisition of test results each cycle increases consistently. The implication of this research is that teachers can take an overview of the application of the Gitmind-based mind mapping method to Islamic religious education lessons to make a new concept of knowledge for the sake of improving and improving science and education in the future.

Abstract

Islamic boarding school-based Madrasah Tsanawiyah is the latest innovation in continuing to foster an Islamic generation that remains under the Ministry of Religion. Later, madrasas became another form of schools with religious Islamic, because they were in the same area as Madrasas and Islamic Boarding Schools. The teaching system at the madrasah tsanawiyah in this country has started to rework the form of the pesantren system in order to realize the success of the baton in Islamic da'wah and apply Islamic religious teachings according to the guidance of Islamic Education in the Qur'an and Sunnah to its students without leaving the pesantren culture inherent in Indonesia. Madrasas can now reach achievements that even outperformed other public schools. The research method used is qualitative with a type of approach by collaborating with literature studies. The research results help the scientific world to answer the curiosity of researchers regarding the findings of steps to revive the role of a Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 3 Surabaya City Islamic Boarding School program. As well as supporting factors for religious activities that strengthen the spirit and mentality of the students in it, so that it becomes a very important topic context for its purpose of strengthening the religious dynamism of students at State Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Indonesia. The implication of this research is that education practitioners, especially PAI teachers, can easily carry out an institutional revitalization in an education.

Abstract

The CTL strategy is an interesting phenomenon to study and research, considering that this CTL has a positive effect on learning outcomes, the objectives are: 1) Knowing the CTL, 2) Knowing the implementation of the CTL, 3) Knowing the supporting and inhibiting factors of the CTL. The research method used is naturalistic field research. The data in this study were obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the CTL for steps to instill discipline and responsibility. Second, the implementation of the CTL for Fiqh subjects in instilling discipline and responsibility for worship is guided by the seven components of the CTL. These components include: constructivism, inquiry, asking, learning community, modeling, reflection, and authentic assessment. Third, there are supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the CTL for worship. Supporting factors include: teacher readiness, infrastructure, student activity, and learning environment. As for the inhibiting factors include: limited time, student abilities, and unequal supervision between the school environment and the family. The implication of the results of this research is that teachers can use CTL as a teaching method so that PBM or the teaching and learning process becomes more interesting to carry out studies and research for the sake of advancing education in the future.

Abstract

The rampant moral crisis of beneficiary children at the Marsudi Putra Antasena Salaman Magelang Social Rehabilitation Center is caused by several factors for beneficiary children by returning deviations from the moral crisis through the habit of giving alms and religious coaching. This research method uses a qualitative approach with the concept of naturalistic inquiry which seeks to reveal the reality of the phenomenon of the value of student character education in the habituation of sadaqah by using data from texts, interviews, observations and documentation to provide clarity on the situation or reality. The results of this study indicate that the implementation is carried out through the habit of giving alms by giving motivation, giving understanding, giving advice, while in the implementation process giving good examples for beneficiaries, giving awards to beneficiary children, and providing skill activities for beneficiary children. The value of character education that is formed through the habituation of alms can bring up religious character, discipline, social care, and responsibility. The problems are self-awareness of beneficiary children, family disharmony, growing technological advances, lots of free time, and lack of parental monitoring. The implication of this research is that the formation of character in the form of the habit of caring for one another, such as liking to give charity, can be realized in today's teenagers and young people.

Abstract

This paper aims to explain the philosophical principles or foundations of curriculum development in Islamic education. This paper uses a qualitative research method that is library research, namely by looking for data from books and scientific articles that are relevant to the topic of discussion. The data management technique uses descriptive analysis which is presented by the author in a systematic and objective manner. Data is obtained through documentation, namely collecting data from various literature related to the topic of discussion. The results of the research show that the Islamic education curriculum aims to form a spiritual life in students. It is very necessary to think and practice Islamic education which bases its philosophical principles on the Al-Qur'an and As-Sunnah. The philosophical mindset plays an essential role in curriculum development. Curriculum development requires philosophy as a reference or basis for thinking. In its development, it is always based on philosophical schools which will later color the concept and implementation of the developed curriculum, including: parennialism, essentialism, progressivism, and reconstructionism. The implication of this research is to provide a challenge for Islamic educators, namely to articulate a scheme of philosophical thinking that is systematic and provides a life that functions to lay down and guide the principles and practices of developing Islamic education curricula.

Abstract

E-learning is an innovation in education, in implementing the learning system using information technology that can be accessed anytime and anywhere. This research aims to examine the use of e-learning as an innovation in order to increase student activity in learning PAI at SMPN 2 Tempuran Kerawang. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach, the type of research used is field research using interview, observation and documentation data collection techniques. The results of this research show that in using e-learning PAI teachers adapt to the conditions and needs of students so they can participate in learning. Apart from using learning media in the form of technology, PAI teachers also use learning methods that are appropriate to the material to be delivered, so that the teaching and learning process can run effectively and efficiently and can increase students' active learning in PAI learning, therefore e-learning is a learning innovation and alternative solution for the development of learning needs. The implications of this research on the use of E-Learning Educational Innovations are that for all education practitioners, including teachers, education staff and students, they can increase students' interest and motivation to learn by considering the use of learning methods applied in the classroom.

Abstract

The condition or atmosphere of the school climate is something that is important to get serious attention from education implementers, because it is related to learning discipline which can be influenced by the school climate. This research aims to describe the formation of school climate towards the learning discipline of class V students at SDN IV Duren Karawang. This research uses a quantitative approach in the form of research on the influence between school climate and learning discipline. In this investigation, interviews served as the primary method of data collection. Based on the results of information analysis, it shows that the climate at SDN Duren IV is in the very good category, with a percentage of 85.01%. The learning discipline score of class V students at SDN Duren IV is in the good category with a percentage of 77.16%. There is an insignificant implementation, namely 47% of the school climate towards the learning discipline of class V students at SDN Duren IV. The level of learning discipline of class V students at SDN Duren IV increases in direct proportion to the school climate, while the level of discipline decreases in direct proportion to the school climate. The implication of this research is that education practitioners, both teachers and education personnel as well as education policy makers, can consider creating a good school climate more seriously because it can increase students' discipline in learning and seeking knowledge at school. the vision and mission of education will soon be realized, namely to educate the lives of the nation's next generation as future leaders of the nation.

Abstract

This research starts from an educational phenomenon that wants to develop learning skills by providing Pancasila lessons and the desire to know the planning, process, and evaluation of project activities to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students in developing 21st-century skills such as creative, critical, communication and collaboration. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive character. The data collection techniques used were in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The sampling technique used was nonprobability sampling with the techniques taken, namely purposive sampling and snowball sampling. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation and then drawing conclusions. The key informant in this research was the PAI teacher, while other supporting data was obtained through additional informants, namely, the head of the curriculum, driving teachers, and students. The results of this research show that 21st-century learning is a bridge through learning projects to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students. In the concept of the Pancasila student profile, there is learning needed in the 21st Century learning era which is usually called 4C Creativity, Critical thinking, Communication, Collaboration. By learning the Pancasila student profile project, students will gain insight into new skills for the world they will face in the future. The implication of this research is that teachers, especially teachers who teach Pancasila subjects or other terms, can further instill a sense of love for the country and Pancasila, which then has an effect on developing students' talents and skills in carrying out learning at school.

Abstract

Indonesia consists of various tribes, cultures, races, religions and various languages ​​or is usually called a plural nation. This is certainly an added value and a challenge for the Indonesian people in forming a safe, peaceful, peaceful and prosperous society free from conflict and division. Islamic boarding schools are places of learning for students from various ethnic, cultural, racial and linguistic backgrounds. As an initial bulwark to prevent conflict and division, Islamic boarding schools need to develop a multicultural Islamic religious education curriculum. This research uses a qualitative approach with empirical methods and descriptive narrative research. Data collection uses participant observation, unstructured interviews, and documentation by checking the validity of the data using triangulation of sources and methods. The data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The result of this research is that the design of a multicultural Islamic religious education curriculum is integrated into four Islamic boarding school programs, namely: the Ma'hadiyah program, which includes Islamic boarding school activities such as the study of classical books, tahlil, dhikran, and so on which contains the teachings of Sunnah wal Jama'ah experts. Madrosiyah program, including learning activities such as Madrasah Diniyah, TPQ, and so on. The ubudiyah program is related to worship such as congregational prayers and worship taught by clerics who are experts in Sunnah wal Jama'ah and tahfiz al-Qur'an. The implication of this research is that education implementers can definitely know that multicultural education is important for students so that they understand the meaning of togetherness and mutual respect, mutual respect in creating a harmonious life among religious communities.

Abstract

Menipisnya karakter religius memberikan dampak negatif kepada siswa, pembentukan karakter religius peserta didik melalui progam BTQ merupakan faktor pendukung dan penghambat untuk membentuk karakter religius. Progam BTQ dan pencapaian karakter religius siswa yang dibentuk melalui progam BTQ. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif jenis fenomenologis. Data penelitian didapatkan dengan melakukan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Setelah itu, peneliti menganalisis data dengan mereduksi data, menyajikan data dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) pembentukan karakter religius peserta didik dilakukan dengan mengklasifikasikan kelas BTQ dan diterapkannya beberapa progam yang menyertai progam BTQ. 2) Faktor pendukung progam BTQ, yakni adanya pendidik yang mendampinggi peserta didik, motivasi peserta didik, serta visi dan misi sekolah. Sedangkan faktor penghambatnya, yakni pendidik yang terlambat dan izin datang ke sekolah, kurangnya motivasi peserta didik serta berkurangnya jam pelajaran umum. 3) Pencapaian karakter religius peserta didik yang dibentuk melalui progam BTQ, yakni membaca dan murojaah al-Qur’an setelah salat, datang ke sekolah dengan tepat waktu, berperilaku sopan santun serta patuh kepada orang tua dan pendidik. Implikasi dari kegiatan penelitian ini adalah para prakstisi pendidikan, guru, orang tua dan para pengelola pendidikan dapat mengetahui dengan pasti bahwa karakter religious dapat diciptakan dan dibentuk melalui program baca tulis al-Qur’an.
