The journal AL-ULUM (Islamic thought and Educational Journal) published an article on the theme of education, using the language of Indonesia or the United Kingdom that includes the study of literature, conceptual thinking and research results in the field of education. These journals give priority to studies related to Islamic thought and education from different perspectives. This journal serves as a means and medium of communication that is used by researchers, lecturers, teachers, students, and practitioners to examine education and Islamic thought. This journal became the medium of exchange of ideas and research findings from various traditions of interacting learning scientifically.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan upaya guru PAI dalam membina kedisiplinan beribadah siswa di SMP Negeri 2 Kutawaluya. Informan dalam hal ini adalah guru PAI, dan siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan empat langkah yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi atau menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa upaya guru PAI dalam membina kedisiplinan beribadah mempunyai hambatan dan faktor pendukung. Kedisiplinan siswa di sekolah masih kurang seperti sholat dan membaca al-qur’an serta ibadah yang lain, namun dengan adanya program keagamaan dan pembiasaan positif seperti sholat wajib berjamaah zuhur di sekolah, memberi aturan dan sanksi yang tegas pada program membaca al-qur’an pagi sebelum pembelajaran, dan mengadakan kegiatan keagamaan baik jangka panjang, menengah, maupun panjang, peningkatan kesadaran beragama, emosional yang semakin terkontrol, etika dan prilaku menjadi lebih baik, serta peningkatan kualitas ibadah yang terbina dan disiplin secara konsisten. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah para guru Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam membina dan membentuk kedisiplinan belajar siswa dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai metode seperti reward dan funismet yang kemudian membuat para siswa bisa berprilaku disiplin dalam menjalankan ibadah sesuai dengan ajaran agama Islam.

Abstract

Education is one of the paths that humans must take to become happy. A person can improve their quality in the form of physical and mental abilities through the educational process. Ikhwanus Shafa, is a group of Islamic thinkers who study and offer concepts of Islamic education; which includes religious-rational understanding. This article aims to find out about the educational perspective of the Ikhwanus Shafa and its relevance to contemporary Islamic education. The research method in this writing is library research which is qualitative in nature. The primary data source for this writing is a book by Maragustam entitled "Philosophy of Islamic Education Towards Character Formation in Facing Global Currents". The secondary data sources for writing use books and journals that are relevant to the discussion. Data collection techniques use documentation. The data analysis technique uses content analysis. The results and discussion in this paper are that according to Ikwanus Shafa the aim of education must be linked to religion; the curriculum must include logic, philosophy, psychology, study of divine religious books, prophecy, sharia sciences, and exact sciences; Teaching methods must teach from concrete to abstract, namely by presenting examples during learning. The relevance of Ikhwanus Shafa's educational thoughts to contemporary Islamic education is relevant based on the regulations/policies in Law no. 20 of 2003. However, problems and challenges were found that were not in line with the rules/policies in their implementation. The implication of this research is that we can know that Islamic education will continue to exist and be relevant to the progress of the times when the implementers of educational activities themselves are still willing to open themselves to progress and compromise with the latest technology.

Abstract

The emergency coronavirus outbreak has resulted in the government taking several policies to overcome the outbreak, one of which is in the education sector in the form of distance learning. However, PJJ raises many problems, such as inappropriate learning methods and media. This is under the results of learning evaluations carried out on PAI subjects. This phenomenon is a special attraction for researchers to raise the theme of this research. The research aims to provide a complete picture of the appropriate use of learning media in the PJJ process through the Kahoot application media. The research method currently used is a qualitative approach with data sources including PAI teachers, school principals, some students, and related parties, the methods used are interviews, observation, and documentation analysis, the locus of this research is SMPN 3 Karang Bahagia. The results of the research can be presented as follows: 1) With the implementation of PJJ, the use of the Kahoot application media is considered effective in PAI subjects, 2) The use of the Kahoot application media provides a solution to the PJJ problems faced by students and teachers, 3) With the development of technology-based industrial revolution 4.0, utilizing the Kahoot application as a learning medium is considered appropriate. So this research can have implications for increasing the effectiveness of PAI learning, providing alternative distance learning, increasing student involvement in the learning process, increasing teacher creativity, optimizing the use of learning media, developing learning content, especially for Class VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Karang Bahagia and so on.

Abstract

Pregnancy out of wedlock is an act that is forbidden by religion, because religion teaches humans to be virtuous, however, we still often encounter this practice in society. Thus, researchers are interested in exploring and understanding this phenomenon. The library research method, also known as a literature review, is an approach used to collect, review, and synthesize existing knowledge in the literature that is relevant to the research topic. In the context of society's understanding of the law on marriage for adultery. The results of the research show that in Islamic law adultery is an act that is strictly forbidden in Al-Isra verse 32 and the perpetrator of adultery must be punished in the form of 100 lashes, exiled for 1 year and sentenced to stoning. Meanwhile, according to Law no. 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage only regulates the status of children resulting from adulterous relationships. The legal consequences of marrying a pregnant woman due to adultery are according to Islamic law. The child born has no lineage to his father, even though the father who married the mother is the one who committed adultery, the lineage of the child resulting from adultery is only related to the mother. Then, children resulting from adultery do not have the right to inherit and there is no right to support, if a woman is born, her father cannot be guardian of her when she marries. The implications of this research include 1) increasing legal awareness for the community, 2) changing social perceptions of community legal phenomena, 3) improving the legal system, 4) improving social services, 5) advocating for legal awareness and 6) increasing the role of community education.

Abstract

This research examines the influence and magnitude of the Kipin School application on distance learning outcomes for PAI subjects in class V-A at SDN Kedung Waringin 02 Bogor during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research approach is quantitative with a Pre-Experimental research design which is designed using an experimental method with a single treatment design. Meanwhile, data analysis in this research uses a simple linear regression test, namely Y = 32.206 + 0.666. To test the relationship between the Kipin School application (X) and distance learning outcomes (Y), a product moment correlation test was carried out which aims to get the results of a 2-way hypothesis test by comparing Rcount > Rtable = 0.757 > 0.361. These results state that there is an influence between variable From the results of the product moment correlation test, the correlation coefficient value is 0.757 or is in the good significance category of 0.000 < 0.05, which means the data has a significant effect. The magnitude of the influence in this research can be seen from the Rsquare in the "model summary" table with a value of 0.574 or 57.4% and the remaining 0.426 or 42.6% are factors not examined in this research. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Kipin School application has an influence on distance learning outcomes. The implications of this research include: 1) increasing the effectiveness of distance learning, 2) support for new learning, 3) increasing teacher creativity training.

Abstract

In the current context, learning media has a significant role in helping convey messages and information (learning materials) to students, this is because learning is essentially the process of conveying messages and information from educators to students which can be realized through interactive and dialogic activities in life. daily. This article aims to analyze strategies for using multimedia in Islamic religious education learning at the elementary school level. The research method used is a qualitative method with data collection through literature study. The results of the research show that the use of multimedia in the form of interactive animation or animated videos in Islamic learning at the elementary school level can effectively make it easier for students to understand lessons, be more enjoyable, and can increase the activeness and enthusiasm for learning of elementary school students. This is because multimedia is one of the main elements in the learning process which can be a means for teachers to create a maximum, effective and efficient learning process. Thus, the teacher's role is very necessary to choose learning strategies that suit the type and learning style of elementary school students. The implications of this research activity are: 1) increasing the effectiveness of PAI learning, 2) curriculum development, 3) providing varied learning resources, 4) implementing training for PAI teachers.

Abstract

Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas is one of the great thinkers in Muslim history, a leading contemporary Muslim thinker in the international world, and has paid a lot of attention to the problems faced by Muslims in the modern world, especially issues of education and manners. His opinions and efforts to improve education and manners were extraordinary. The problems presented regarding education are expressed with great arguments. That is the reason researchers want to explore and study this theme. The research method used in this research is library research with a qualitative approach. The analysis used is content analysis and descriptive analysis. The results of the discussion revealed about the concept of adab, this concept can be understood and applied in any place and time. There are six concepts of adab, namely; First, socializing the goals of education as a process of instilling manners that begins with tazkiyatun nafs. Second, arrange the educational curriculum hierarchically with the classification of fardhu 'ain sciences and fardhu kifayah sciences. Third, create programs and methods based on the principles of al-taadub tsumma al-ta'allum through study, habituation, example and discipline. Fourth, optimize the role of lecturers as muaddib who care and become role models. Fifth, formulate an education evaluation system based on etiquette and science. Sixth, prepare quality supporting facilities and infrastructure. The implications of this research include 1) character formation and educational ethics, 2) relevance of Islamic education, 3) in-depth understanding of Islamic religion, 4) development of literature and research, 5) educational reform, 6) creation of intercultural dialogue.

Abstract

Penelitian tentang e-learnning masih sangat menarik untuk diteliti dengan berbagai fenomena yang mengitarinya terutama berkaitan dengan PAI yang diterapkan di SMP Negeri 1 Karawang Barat pada saat pandemic covid-19. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan peneliti untuk memberikan gambaran tentang pengaruh penggunaan aplikasi zoom meet yang digunakan pada mapel PAI. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian quasi experiment dalam bentuk pretest-posttest, control group design, dengan jumlah 79 sampel. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar siswa untuk pre test kelas eksperimen sebesar 51,1, dengan standar deviasi 29,49. Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pree tes untuk kelas kontrol sebesar 49,91 dengan standar deviasi 25,88. Untuk post tes rata-rata hasil belajar mahasiswa kelas eksperimen sebesar 73,5 dengan standar deviasi 10,89 dan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas kontrol sebesar 76,91 dengan standar deviasi 6,4. Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran PAI antara kelompok yang diberi perlakuan menggunakan metode konvensional dengan kelompok siswa yang diberi perlakuan dengan menggunakan E-learning pada mata pelajaran PAI di SMP Negeri 1 Karawang Barat. Hasil penelitian ini dapat berimplikasi kepada: 1) Pengembangan kurikulum, 2) Pengoptimalan penggunaan teknologi, 3) Peningkatan semangat Pendidikan.

Abstract

In Islam, character education is essential for a child's future, therefore from an early age children are taught how to have good morals. However, when they become teenagers, they will find many things that make them waver, they start to change what has been ingrained in them, one of which is by watching Korean dramas, this influences the moral education of teenagers, many of them prefer to postpone their worship because they are too focused on Korean dramas. Then many of them also imitate the behavior of Korean drama characters such as how they dress, accessories, food and even use Korean in their daily lives. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to social construction. Data collection uses interviews and observations of teenagers. The results of the research show that: 1) Korean dramas have a significant impact on the moral education of teenagers, 2) By watching Korean dramas, many teenagers are neglectful of their worship, follow the Korean way of dressing, are carried away emotionally by the stories in them and often use Korean. The implications of this research are: 1) increasing moral awareness, 2) educating parents and youth companions, 3) developing educational materials, 4) monitoring social media, 5) developing media literacy, 6) promoting local culture, 7) school collaboration and family.
